Ilissos

The hotel had some of the nicest people working there. Their staff checked us in with the most amount of information I’ve ever experienced on close by recommendations for food and places to visit. 10/10 from every perspective other than the location.

The location was a bit difficult to navigate to central Athens, getting a taxi or uber could be a bit tricky from the layout of the roads. But that is often the case I’ve heard in Athens.

Ottima posizione albergo pulito

Nada a dizer

room good size beds comfortable

Nothing to complain about here

Pulizia discreta potrebbero migliorarla

They are scammers

Customer service

This hotel was fine for a one-night stay and the price was acceptable for a simple hotel.

I must issue a strong warning about the airport taxi service arranged through the hotel. While this is an external company, the service was unacceptable and seriously compromised my safety: The driver was driving recklessly, consistently over 160 km/h on the motorway, overtaking from every lane, and disregarding all traffic laws in the city. The final fee was higher than the amount confirmed by the hotel in the reservation! The driver did not wait in the arrivals hall as confirmed. We had to search for him, which made the pre-booked transfer pointless. Also the driver stopped for fuel just 1-2 km before reaching the hotel... During the following days, I used local taxis and found the drivers to be great and professional.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Around the corner were some wonderful restaurants and cafes and it wasn’t too far of a walk to the main tourist area.

Friendly staff who showed caring and helpfulness on all questions to facilitate our visit to Athens as tourists. Breakfast was awesome - yummy and plenty 👍

Was hoping for a queen-size bed as requested, but had a two twin bed pushed together - having the gap in between.

Ilissos Hotel was a great base for our stay in Athens. The location is very convenient (just about 10 minutes from the Sygrou-Fix metro station) making it easy to reach both the Acropolis and the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having a terrace with views of the Acropolis. Breakfast was continental, with several options to choose from, and it was a good start to the day. Overall, a practical and pleasant stay in Athens.

Otelin konumu iyiydi.

The hotel is very clean, the room was spacious, and the beds very comfortable. Staff were very helpful! The breakfast was good, not outstanding, but had a decent variety to suit varying tastes.

The location is not the best as it is 15 minutes walk from the closest Metro Station and not the best area to walk.

A vista do bar é incrível.

Talvez umas plaquinhas ajudassem.

Everything was great. Only stayed 1 night! Bed was super comfy :)

N/a

It was nice and breakfast was awesome.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like.

The staff especially Maria and Susana. They went above and beyond to answer all our questions. Exactly on the day of our check out the taxis/uber were on strike and they managed to schedule our transfer to the airport at a reasonable price. Also, as it was a very early check-out they even packed breakfast to go. Amazing customer service and support!

The rooms are okay, the staff is very friendly. The price is reasonable. Location close to Syggrou-Fix makes it a good place to stay.

Prices at the rooftop bar are too high, the AC in the rooms is overdimensioned for such small rooms and loud like hell. Hard to find sleep with it running, impossible without. Our room wasn't properly cleaned. When we arrived there was hair all over the place. One day, the cleaning personell didn't close our door and we arrived to a room with an open door ...

Fint läge, fantastisk trevlig och hjälpsam personal i receptionen

The hotel is 15-20 walk from the acropolis area Easy to walk everywhere and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. Room was comfy and the hotel has a restaurant at the top with views to the acropolis Breakfast was alright

My guest enjoyed their stay at the hotel

Good location

Friendly staff, good breakfast, location

The AC unit in our room and lobby was not working properly causing an uncomfortable environment. This is the only reason for the lower score.

Staff very friendly, great breakfast, good location, nice rooftop restaurant

Mattress and pillows could be a bit better!

Great rooftop area to have a beer.

Trying to find it was a little difficult at first – but then easy.

Nothing went well, it was a disaster.

We booked a double room for our stay for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, we found twin beds. We called the receptionist, he told us he will find solution tomorrow morning. The day after, they proposed a room that does not have a functional bathroom, we didn’t agree to take the room, and the receptionist told us that there is nothing they can do. We talked to the reservation manager, who was very rude and told us that there is nothing he can do be cause they have no availability, and then he told us we have to pay extra 60 euros per night to get a double room. They are really scammers. We asked for a refund, but they did not want to do so. We called booking, but they could not help us resolve the issue. This is by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. It is at most a 2 star hotel not 4. For the same price, they are better hotels near the city, I really regret staying here.

I didn’t have a breakfast at the end and the photo is toooo far from the reality

Excellent place, great customer service, room was amazing, great location

Pouco seguro

The room service was efficient and few of the staff members from the reception and kitchen staff showed care. Although location was little hidden, easy access to metro station was appreciated as very little turns were needed when walking from metro station to hotel. Roof bar had nice view to Acropolis.

Lack of vegan or even vegetarian options with breakfast was notable negative. Watermelon and olives were nice, all other vegetarian options were lacking. I’m not familiar with price ranges in Greece, but for us the breakfast didn’t quite meet the expectations in either price or quality.

Hotel consigliatissimo. Stanza grande con tutti i confort , balcone grande. Piacevole area relax. Colazione il giusto senza troppe abbuffate mattutine. Posizione ottima Terrazza panoramica

Tutto perfetto

convenient location, very comfortable bed, courtesy staff, good breakfast

breakfast was decent, if I have to say something for improvement, maybe change the variety a bit every 2 or 3 days we had 3 breakfast, not see much change of the food.

Our overall stay at the hotel was pleasant. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the hotel staff were generally friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. The rooms were comfortable, and we appreciated the hospitality during most of our time there. Unfortunately, our final day was marred by a deeply upsetting experience that left a lasting negative impression. We had arranged two taxis through the hotel to take us to the port, as we were traveling with elderly parents. The driver of our taxi was extremely rude, and the second taxi dropped my parents at the wrong location—far from where they needed to be—and drove off, leaving them stranded and confused. To make matters worse, there was no cellphone reception, so we couldn’t reach them. We contacted the hotel for help, hoping they could assist since they had arranged the taxis. Initially, the receptionist was helpful and said she would contact the driver to retrieve my parents and bring them to us. However, she later called back with a completely different attitude—rude and dismissive. She claimed the driver had fulfilled his duty by dropping them “at the port,” even though it was nowhere near the correct gate. She also falsely stated that we hadn’t specified the drop-off location (despite our taxi taking us to the correct spot), and that the driver had offered his phone to my father, which was untrue. The call ended abruptly when she hung up on us. We eventually managed to locate my parents ourselves and arranged an Uber to bring them to the right place. The lack of accountability and professionalism from the hotel staff in this situation was extremely disappointing. While the hotel itself was fine, I would strongly advise against using their taxi service. The experience was distressing and unacceptable, especially when elderly guests are involved

View of acropolis from our balcony room 602. Location to trains, good breakfast, clean & comfortable room

Rooms are adequate size and have coffee making facilities and 2 small bottles of water provided. The bathroom was a good size, the shower over bath was hot and good flow of water. Rooftop bar offers great views across the Athens skyline, especially good at night.

There was a large group of teenage school children at breakfast when we went and a lot of queuing and waiting for good to be stocked up. The staff did a great job to manage the chaos but it did cause a bit of a problem for us waiting linger than we had hoped.
