Very homey, quiet at night and a good private bathroom, the area is welcoming very light up so we can walk at night, would definitely recommend for couples or people alone!

The house was located within a nice neighbourhood, we felt pretty safe walking there at night. The communal area had good facilities - washer/dryer, kitchenette, sitting area etc.

The room we were put in was room 3, which it turns out has NO WINDOWS WHATSOEVER. You cannot tell this from the photos, and 2 of the rooms seem to have windows, so it seems surprising that the 3rd didn't. We did not know which of the 3 rooms we would be put in, and were alarmed when we arrived by the lack of fire escape in our room (all rooms are in the basement) - we were so concerned for our own safety that we had to move to a different hotel. We informed the host that we felt the fire escape situation in room 3 was extremely dangerous, possilbly even illegal, and that we felt we had to find somewhere else to stay. We have received absolutely no response from the host. The room was not as nice as it looked in the photos, very clinical with nothing on the walls and an extremely bright/harsh ceiling light. The small bedside lamp was dimmer than a candle and kept switching itself off. The floor in the bedroom seemed to be sticky, and the towels were slimy from being washed with too much fabric conditioner. It was also very cramped, and there were almost no surfaces to put things on apart from the mini-fridge.

Lack of basement heating and thin walls between floors

Great location for a concert at Rogers Stadium…only a 20-25 minute Uber ride away (during rush hour….shorter later at night). Room and bathroom were clean and well-kept. Bed was small but comfortable and there was a small bar fridge in the room, which was a bonus. It was certainly nice to get back to cold water and Gatorades after a night of drinking at the concert. 😄 There was also a TV on the wall and a fan in the corner in case you needed it. Check in was a breeze and parking was available in the driveway. There were codes to get in the main door and also to our room, so it felt secure. I would stay there again without hesitation!

Very clean

The apartment was very clean, with a cozy bedroom and a lovely bathroom. We were able to park for free right in front of the house, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful.

The only downside was that the apartment was a bit cold during our stay.

Went to Toronto for a concert, just two of us girls. We felt very safe when we got to the house as there was 3 doors all locked with different codes.

Only "complaint" would be that the floors felt sticky/slippery. Almost like a cleaner that wasn't meant for the type of floors was used. I had to make sure I had socks or shoes on. Same thing with the mirrors. But overall not a huge issue

La télévision était difficile à capter, ça pouvait prendre plusieurs minutes avant qu’elle s’ouvre. La pression de la douche est très faible et y’a des jets qui vont un peu partout… Le lit est un peu dur 😅 Chambre #1 J’étais venu l’année dernière pour 2 nuits et j’avais payé 200-300$ (juillet ) , cette année 2 nuits 640$… ( mai ) Je trouve ça un peu cher puisque ce n’est rien de luxueux..

Had such a wonderful stay here! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was kind, responsive, and made everything smooth from check-in to check-out. I really appreciated the cozy atmosphere and thoughtful touches throughout the space. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Tonon House is in a quiet and good neighborhood.. Also it's very clean and the host is kind and considerate.. My flight was delayed and I came late without booking. I booked right away, the owners called me and told me not worry and they made everything easy for me.

It was my second time, I loved staying there. I would highly recommend it.

We left a bunch of stuff in our room and when the staff checked the room before we left, they reported none of it so I guess they kept everything

Unfortunately, my stay was quite disappointing. There was a very strong smell of cleaning chemicals and plastic throughout the apartment, and it did not go away even after leaving the window open for several hours. Cleanliness was a major issue. There were hairs on the towels, visible stains that did not seem properly washed out, a dirty mirror and walls, a smudged TV, hair on the bed, and a dirty refrigerator. The soundproofing was extremely poor. I could clearly hear someone in the neighboring room speaking at a normal volume, as if they were just a few meters away. Check-in was also inconvenient. Although it was scheduled for 3:00 PM, I only received the instructions and access codes at 3:10 PM, which felt unprofessional. The refrigerator was placed right next to the bed and made a loud buzzing noise, making it difficult to fall asleep. There was no trash bin in the room, which was very inconvenient. On one of the mornings, the water pressure was extremely weak. Additionally, since the unit is a basement, it was consistently cold inside.

Hôte super réactif et très agréable, la douche est spacieuse et le rapport qualité prix est vraiment un gros plus.

The cleanliness. The host being helpful in getting me to my room.

I was so disappointed with the neglect l got from Van after complaining that the television in my room wasn't working. She promised to come and check it. She never sent her daughter neither did she show up. I stayed all through with no television. Also, the room was not heated. There were so much noise from the other visitors and it was difficult to sleep comfortably.

Meh. Was ok, very little space in the rooms and the living room is shared between multiple. Also quite confident you can find somewhere overall better for the price.

Muito boa localização para quem busca a experiência dos bairros mais afastados do centro. Região com muitos mercados e lanchonetes. É necessário pegar o metro para explorar o centro de Toronto.

Para chegar ao metro é necessário pegar uber ou onibus. Tranquilo, coisa de 20 minutos até a estação, mas é importante considerar. Senhas de acesso poderiam ser melhor explicadas.

The space was nice, enjoyed having our own private bathroom.

Very strong odour. When we unpacked our bags at home, the smell was still embedded in our clothing. Not very pleasant. The floor in our room had some sort of film on it? It was almost greasy. Standing in front of the mirror doing my makeup and my feet would slowly start sliding out.
