General sentiment from multiple reviews indicates that rooms are clean but some reviewers mentioned details like missing biscuits or issues with room maintenance.

Several guests noted cleanliness issues: bathroom described as old and looking unclean, paintwork flaking in places, and an untidy gym with equipment left on the floor; these reports lower the cleanliness score.

Location and setting are repeatedly highlighted as excellent: beautiful grounds, gardens and a peaceful green setting; a key positive across reviews.

Many reviews praised the helpful and friendly staff, though there were mentions of service lapses during busy times.

Service is frequently praised—staff repeatedly described as brilliant, friendly and welcoming. Minor service lapses (coffee station messy for meetings) noted but overall service quality is strong.

Mixed reviews about food quality with some positive notes but significant criticism on service times and certain dishes.

Food receives generally positive comments—breakfast is praised as good with plenty of choice and the restaurant is described as lovely—though there are isolated reports of a disappointing evening meal.

Amenities are generally well praised, though some issues with breakfast service were noted.

Mixed amenities feedback: spa, pool, sauna rated good (sauna cramped), but the gym was poor and untidy, pool shape and pool opening-time mishaps were mentioned; overall amenities are solid but inconsistent.

The general consensus reflects good value relative to quality, though there were mentions of some meals being overpriced.

Value is mixed: some guests felt meals (example: an overpriced, poor-quality evening meal) did not match price, while others appreciated the ambience and breakfasts—overall slightly below average for value.
