Zimmer & Sauberkeit: Die Zimmer sind überraschend geräumig und bieten viel Platz. Fenster war zur Innenhofseite. Das gesamte Hotel macht einen sehr sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. 2 funktionierende Fahrstühle. Rezeption auf der 1. Etage ebenso der Parkhaus Zugang. Etagen 2-6 die Zimmer. Lage & Anreise: Die Lage ist extrem verkehrsgünstig – die S-Bahn-Station Hansaring ist direkt nebenan fussläufig zu erreichen. Cinedom (Kinokomplex) plus Gastronomie in ca. 7 Minuten fussläufig zu erreichen. Besonders komfortabel ist das Parkhaus mit direktem Zugang zum Hotel. Gastronomie: Das Frühstück bietet einen guten Standard für den Start in den Tag, allerdings ohne besondere Highlights. Buffet wird immer nachgefüllt.

Parkhaus & Preise: Das Parkhaus (ehemaliges Saturn-Parkhaus) wirkt sehr in die Jahre gekommen.Dem Hotel stehen nur die zwei obersten Etagen ohne Überdachung zur Verfügung. Die Parkbuchten sind extrem eng – wenn andere Autos nicht exakt parken, kommt man kaum in die Lücke oder bekommt die Türen nicht mehr auf. Zudem gibt es keine Schranken an Ein- und Ausfahrt, sodass jeder freien Zutritt hat. Dafür sind 19 € pro Tag (selbst für Kölner Verhältnisse) recht happig. Zimmerservice & Ausstattung: Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgt leider nur nach aktiver Aufforderung durch den Gast. Im Zimmer fehlt eine Minibar. Klima & Belüftung: Die Klimaanlage ist für ihre recht schwache Kühlleistung deutlich zu laut. Da das kleine Fenster für den großen Raum kaum ausreichend Frischluft liefert, wird es schnell stickig.

Ein defekter Duschbrause Schlauch macht das duschen sehr umständlich, wir informierten die Rezeption darüber damit Sie das Problem abstellen können.

Odd smell when first entered the room but soon went away

Proximity to everything and easiness of access from the airport. Although it us very close to the railway it is so quiet in the rooms. For breakfast I recommend going to Extrablatt cafe (some 500m from the hotel) for buffet breakfast which is the best I had in my entire life and only for 13€ per person.

Kein Smart-TV, das Bad war eher Krankenhaus Style mit defekten Spots in der Decke, aus denen die Birnen schief heraushingen, unterm Waschbecken waren riesige Kalkablagerungen auf den Fliesen, die Dusche hatte keinen Wasserdruck und schwankende Temperaturen. Das Frühstück war standard. Dafür war der Preis von 200€ pro Nacht sehr stolz.

W wannie brak możliwości kąpieli. Zatyczka nie działała. Poza tym woda nie była ciepła. My byliśmy w lipcu więc letnia woda nie przeszkadzała ale...

Ik had de duurste kamer geboekt en in de avond bleek de airco het niet te doen. De volgende dag kreeg ik te horen “anders probeer je de ramen open de houden om de kamer te verkoelen”. Toen ik aangaf dat dit niet werkte konden ze me alleen een standaard kamer geven wat uiteindelijk een flinke downgrade was. Zo ging ik van ruim 40 m2 naar iets van 13 m2…

Wir waren für eine Nacht in diesem Hotel in Köln und waren rundum zufrieden. Unser Familienzimmer war schön, gemütlich und sauber. Im Zimmer war alles vorhanden, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders die bequemen Betten haben uns gefallen. Auch das Frühstück war wirklich lecker und die Auswahl sehr vielfältig – hier war für jeden etwas dabei. Die zentrale Lage ist ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt: Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie zum Beispiel der Kölner Dom, sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis hat uns überzeugt. Für die Lage und den gebotenen Komfort fanden wir den Preis absolut angemessen und nicht überteuert. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden das Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Klare Empfehlung!

La habitación era enorme y muy cómoda, con sillones y mobiliario útil si estás varios días. Se puede ir caminando hasta el centro de Colonia (unos 15 mins), y cerca hay muchos restaurantes. A pesar de estar en una gran avenida junto a la estación de trenes, estaba muy bien aislado del ruido.

El personal no se caracterizó por ser muy resolutivo o por ayudar activamente, y el protocolo que tienen para guardar maletas fue pesado y lento.

In den Gängen roch es permanent nach Muff und Schweiß. Betten sind schmal und unbequem. Klimaanlage war viel zu laut, aber das Öffnen der Fenster war noch schlimmer aufgrund des Straßenlärms. Die Einrichtung und Deko waren lieblos. Zimmer und Bad sind alt und in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück entsprach dem zu erwartenden Mindeststandard, nicht mehr.

The hotel is located not too far from the Dom and the train station, just 10 minutes by walk. Reception is opened h24 and staff is very friendly. My room was quiet and well furnished with very confortable beds.

Wir hatten ein sehr komfortables und großes Zimmer, beim Frühstück haben wir nichts vermisst. Perfekt für ein Wochenende in Köln. S-Bahn nebenan, bis zum Dom kann man auch gut laufen (ca. 10 Minuten).

Sehr netter Rezeptionist, der versucht hat, jedem Gast seinen Wunsch zu erfüllen, obwohl er Check-Ins, Bar und Bistro gleichzeitig managen musste. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Es ist so gut wie unmöglich, mit dem Haus telefonisch in Kontakt zu kommen. Sowohl bei Booking als auch bei Google hinterlegte Telefonnummern führen zu toten Anschlüssen. Im Call-Center, das für alle Häuser zuständig ist, wird man von einem Robotor abgewimmelt und gebeten, eine Mail zu schreiben.

Leide war ein Aufzug kaputt und am anderen Stand man Schlange. Treppe nach ganz oben etwas anstrengend auf Dauer, Schlange stehen an der Rezeption zu Stoßzeiten am Nachmittag. Aber alle halb so wild.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, ebenso das Bad. Alles war sauber, das Zimmer war bestens ausgestattet. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, Checkin und Checkout verliefen unkompliziert und schnell. Trotz der Lage direkt an der Bahn war es leise im Zimmer. Den Checkout bis 12 Uhr fand ich super! Sehr hervorheben möchte ich die schöne Lounge, in der ich mich auch nach dem Checkout noch lange aufhalten durfte, inklusive Stromnutzung. Über das Essen kann ich nichts sagen. Für mich war es insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Parking was easy. A bit pricey but easy access and convenient. The staff member who served us when we arrived after a 5 hour drive was friendly, clear and welcoming. The room was extremely clean and large and we slept very well. A great stay thank you!

Дуже зручне місцерозташування прям біля прямої електрички до аеропорту. При цьому в номері абсолютно тихо. Кондиціонер, чай та кава в номері. Чисто, є все необхідне для відпочинку перед продовженням подорожі. На рецепції постійно був працівник.

El tamaño de la habitación, para un 3*, espectacular. Amplia sin perder el ser acogedora y cómoda. Y los pasillos de las habitaciones, amplios, con luz natural, limpios... Muy bien. El desayuno es variado, cuidado, se repone con frecuencia. La decoración de la parte del edificio correspondiente al hotel: rehabilitado con acierto y con buen gusto dentro de la funcionalidad. Además de los controles de seguridad para acceder a las distintas zonas usando la llave de la habitación.

El hotel tiene seis plantas y sólo había un ascensor funcionado (de los dos de que dispone), por lo que en algunos momentos se tardaba un poco en subir (teniendo en cuenta que estábamos en una planta alta).

Very good location and the room has everything that you need for a short city stay. The bed is super comfy.

De prijs-kwaliteit. Na een bezoek aan phantasialand nog een dagje Keulen. Het themahotel in het park viel wat tegen, terwijl deze overnachting uitstekend was. Gigantische kamer, goede airco (buiten was het 35 graden) groot bed en alle denkbare voorzieningen. Parkeren eenvoudig in de garage. En een prijs die erg concurrerend is.

De hallen en aankomst lobby zijn niet bijzonder, het hotel is vooral praktisch en van binnen niet bijzonder.

Ruime kamer met comfortabele fauteuils! Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Eigen parkeerplekken (betaald). Hoewel iets verder van het centrum (half uurtje lopen), nabij OV.

Alla ik toch iets moet zeggen: hotel is voorzien van liften alleen van parkeergarage naar hotel moet je een korte trap op.

La habitación era grande, estaba limpia, el aire funcionaba bien, el baño era muy amplio, las camas cómodas , estaba bien insonorizado, las cortinas tapaban bien la luz y las instalaciones eran correctas

Solo había un ascensor los tres primeros días porque el otro estaba estropeado y la limpieza de la habitación había que pedirla en recepción y no era diaria. El S-Bahn está al lado, con todo lo que eso implica

Very interesting building - 1920s art deco? Everything clean etc. Staff helpful. Nice lounge area for lounging. We are cheapskates so brought our own breakfast which worked fine as - kettle, tea etc in the room. Everything worked a dream - good Aircon, great shower.

Make sure you ask for a room away from the railway. Our room was RIGHT next to the track though when we shut both sets of windows and left the aircon on all night it was better. (It was fun, nevertheless, watching all of the different trains, though the railway system itself seems to be in a state of collapse!)

Great location near shops and easy to find. Comfortable and clean rooms. All staff super friendly and helpful. You must enjoy the Fabulous breakfast with selections for everyone from cooked breakfasts to fruit and yogurt. Amazing young lady at breakfast named Tia. Sparkling personality and extremely friendly. I have a good allergy and I felt completely safe in her hands. Thank you so much Tia!!!

Stayed here while visiting family in the local area. It's a pretty unusual building for a Premier Inn, being a converted textile mill. The rooms are located on the upper floors, with the reception being on the top floor, along with a restaurant. Sadly the floors are accessible with two of the slowest lifts known to mankind - I assume there is some architectural reason as to why they can't be replaced, as they seem to be hydraulic vs. cables. The room had a large window and had decent storage, along with a desk and chair to relax in. The bathroom was the only thing that let the room down - it felt a little dated and we had a weird quirk with the toilet. When you flushed it, it took ages (as in 10-15 minutes) to fill back up again We did report it to reception but it was never addressed, but seeing it mentioned in multiple reviews here, it seems like an issue with the building. The location was great. You were on the main road in 5 minutes, and having all of the food options nearby was perfect when we got back late and didn't feel like driving somewhere to eat dinner. Even with the shortcomings, we'd consider staying here again mostly due to the perfect location for our family needs.

Room was nice and big with a comfortable bed as expected. The issues came with access to the reception and restaurant which are both on the 4th floor. The only working lift is small and incredibly slow, it took an age to get anywhere. The other service lift apparently has been broken for ages. Trying to leave while others were using the lift was impossible.Ended up coming down the steep stairs with suitcases which both my wife and I stumbled with, as a pair of oldlies it was difficult and dangerous. An accident waiting to happen. Booked breakfast which was ok for the cooked element but the so called continental option was awful, just a couple of tatseless pastries and a bit of fruit. We were going to book for dinner but went elsewhere as there was only one chef cooking and when we looked there were a lot of customers looking cheesed off with one girl saying she has waited an hour. We went for the good nights rest as described by Lenny H which is what we had and there was a nice Tapas bar near by that was pretty good. Shame really this lovely building could be a cracking hotel if the extras were upto scratch.

Arrived early unable to get in. Eventually someone replied on intercom that we couldn't come in until 3-00pm,this was 2-35pm. After a 2 hour car trip,not what I wanted to hear. Glad it wasn't raining or snowing! Surely we could have been allowed in and waited in bar area? How did they know our actual room was unavailable? Reception on 4 th floor.A 96 step walk up!!! There are 2 lifts,one hasn't worked for ages. The lift that does work takes 1 minute to go from Ground Floor to 4th Floor. Premier Inn are so proud of this they have a cartoon of a tortoise climbing stairs in the lift itself. I would feel very concerned if I was in a wheel chair when the Fire Alarms went off. There are notices telling you not to use the lift if the Fire Alarms sound. You would be literally stuck in the middle of a fire,with no means of escape. Surely this is illegal? Room adequate. Had to book for Evening Meal.Why? We turned up early for pre - dinner drinks place practically empty. Had to wait for one of the two staff working, to guide us to our table. As he was doing so he reeled off all the unavailable food items we couldn't have. Felt a bit sorry for this guy. He was trying to attend Reception,take orders and deliver the food to tables. Everyone dining had to wait for him to finish a task before he could deal with the next guests requests. This is ludicrous. In fact a few guests,came to Reception,and after waiting and waiting just went away. Eventually got served,ordered Fish and Chips. Told there would be a 20 minute delay whilst the fish would be ready! A 20 minute delay for a fish to be cooked in a Professional Kitchen? Were they going to catch the fish first? Food finally arrived,and to be honest was delicious. Ordered a second bottle of wine to take to our room after dinner. Oh dear! No bottle available in Bar fridge,fresh bottles in Store Room,but other Server has key and disappeared. Eventually second bottle appears,but obviously is warm. Well,just put it in ice bucket to chill,whilst we finish first bottle of wine,and our meal. No ice buckets! What?!! Second server takes warm wine into kitchen,comes out later as we finish and pay bill with chilled wine. Brilliant! Thank him very much,and very pleased with his attitude. Both these guys were rushed off their feet,and as a result Customers were made to suffer. Premier Inn Management need to sort these penny pinching ideas out. After all,Customer is King

Other reviewers have commented on the "upside down" design, with reception on the top floor of this repurposed textile mill and its "tortoise lift". The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I had the meal deal, and all dinners were good - fish and chips, rigatoni and katsu curry on the three nights I was there. Breakfast was quite good, but the hotel was a bit overshelmed when I stayed, with an unusual number of guests. It was the first weekend of half-term and perhaps parents were attracted by special deals for kids. Anyway, breakfast items were being consumed at pace, and I was told they actually ran out of food one morning. The hotel is in the town centre. Guests who have travelled by car have commented on the parking arrangements with the adjacent public car-park. I arrived by train and the main purpose of my visit was to have a weekend riding on the Severn Valley Railway. This is the main tourist attraction of the town. The good news is that the bus station is about ninety seconds' walk from the hotel. The bad news for weekend visitors is that the bus service is virtually non-existent on Sunday. On arrival, I walked from the mainline station (adjacent to the steam railway station). It was doable, even for a less than agile septuagenarian, but the town's town planning seems to have stuck in the 1960s, with no level pedestrian crossings over the ring road, and people walking from the station consequently required to dive into underpasses. Saturday was fine, as was my return to the station on Monday, when I was able to use a reasonable bus service from hotel to railway stations. Sunday was Uber day! In particular, on the first day of winter time, I didn't fancy returning to the hotel through the underpasses. So, the hotel is great from the point of view of accommodation and accessibility, allowing for the exceedingly slow lift. The food offer is good at dinner, with the meal deal (breakfast, dinner of two courses and a drink) being good value. Breakfast is pretty good, but there may be some prssure at busy times. Whether it's the right hotel for you may depend on what you intend to do. Weekend railway-oriented visitors do need to be aware that it's on the other side of town and there are no viable buses on Sunday.

Booked into this Inn for one night on our way to our holiday. WOW !!! The room was pristine, service was second to none and the restaurant was something else. All glassware and cutlery were so highly cleaned, no watermarks on either. Service was impeccable and the food was everything I hoped it would be. I would give this place my highest recommendation, first class.
