Everything
All amenities we could want and very reasonable
Socket of heater was cracked and kettle lid broken and both are potentially dangerous either scalding or electrical shock
Clean and extremely comfortable

Location has so much potential such a shame
Cleanliness chewing gum left on sides, hair clips, bedding, towels, cigarette smell
Loved how peaceful it was
We was shocked the bar shut early on a evening
Immaculately clean room. Access very easy. Friendly staff. Pub serving tasty food. Car park close. All on ground level.
Nothing to dislike
We didn’t really know what to except but exceeded our expectations, the shepards hut was as cute, clean , quiet and had everything we needed . Slept so well as so quiet . Definitely recommend
Offer a breakfast option ( maybe bread , milk , cereals , croissants etc ) x
Lovely, clean and great idea
We found the bed a little too high and the pod got really hot, but really enjoyed our stay
My hubby & I stayed for 2 nites while in area for funeral of bro & bro in law. Added bonus we were in a pod. Never before but loved it 👏🏼do it again yessss of course. Will be recommending to all we know. Already got relatives visiting u . Can’t fault anything. We will be visiting again soon & wouldn’t hesitate to stay at pod again. Well done to everyone. 👏🏼👏🏼😘x
The room was clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and friendly
unfortunately the location was on a very fast and busy road and right outside our room was a childrens play area so there was a lot of noise constantly.
The room was spacious, beds comfortable and everywhere clean. The staff who were in the restaurant were most helpful.
Nothing
The bed was terrible in room 7. I have told the owners this and they say they are changing the mattresses every 3-7 years. Frankly they need to do it now. I stayed two nights. Room 7 is next to the plant room which is noisy so waking up every time I moved because of the springs digging in and going 'ping' meant it was difficult to get back to sleep with the constant noise from the room. Having said that it was clean and looked ok. The pub is quite tired and the cooked food I had was disgusting. But the staff were lovely and very helpful. Perhaps stay there when the beds are updated and use The Mare and Colt down the road for food.
The bed/mattress. It was old and well used and uncomfortable. The plant room next to room 7 was very noisy.
Nice , clean and comfortable
good location , close to west midlands safari park, in a quiet area, pub serves lunch and dinner till late
Near our event
I liked that it was homely as we had our 4month old pup with us. It was well cleaned and as we arrived late at night everything was perfect for us arriving. My pup had his first night over and settled very well.
room was lovely. everything we needed was available.
the area
Great room, great location, didn't venture into the bar/restaurant but a great place for an overnight trip, dog friendly, huge bed.
The towels have seen better days.
Lovely stay Reasonable food and drinks Lovely comfortable lodge.
Very clean and comfortable beds, friendly staff
Nothing
Pleasant area Nice staff , restaurant & bar attached to property. The lodge do no do breakfast but locally / there are places that you can drive to Room was clean , bed comfortable & good shower

Really quiet room. Clean and modern. Great location. Pub next door serviced nice food. Would definitely stay again.
A fridge in the room would have been great
The only down side to our stay is that the pub do not do breakfast but they are happy to recommend other places which are very good. Otherwise we have had nothing but friendly and efficient service from the staff, the rooms are excellent prices which are fair and we are able to park our classic car safely. Basically they are the best ....
Nothing really
Lovely comfy bed, great water pressure in the shower and good sized rooms
Would benefit from black out blinds from the lights directly outside the rooms. Since the tap water is not drinkable could have done with a top up on my second days stay
location, on-site pub/restaurant, vibe
noisy kids
Everything
I liked the style and simplicity of the lodges. It was very clean, great amenities and large comfy bed. I also liked how there was free parking and a pub if wanting food or drink :)
Everything was great :)
Very easy to find and very easy to use.
Mattresses are poor. Not the best for your back.
The lodge was lovely. Clean and tidy. Could do with a draning board to put pots. And maybe a dustpan and brush.
Really great little pods! Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Nothing, was exactly as described
Love this place it's great to have a chilled night few drinks then only a few steps to your room
I didn't dislike anything
Location
Na
The room seemed fine at first sight and the pub was friendly with decent, reasonably priced food.
Unfortunately our room had an infestation of bed bugs which we discovered early morning. The coffee tray had dirt and someone’s false nails on it. Needless to say we checked out at first light without having a drink! Staff very apologetic by email.
Easy self check in. Lovely location and pub food next door was great. Clean , quiet and tidy. Would recommend
We took our dog and there is a large Gap under gate so was not secure .
Middle of nowhere and quiet.
Had to be quick with the hot water, if someone else had a long shower you had to wait for it all to heat up again.
Clean. Modern. Staff excellent
Noisy. Rowdy . Other guests . Making our stay Right through the night very uncomfortable .
The Shepherds Hut was immaculate, very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about my stay here.
Location good for what we needed. Pub staff friendly.
Unable to drink water, yet only 2 small bottles of water left in room. Towels were very old and worn. Kettle didn't work (room 3) Beds uncomfortable, need updating
Fine for a brief overnight stay. But loose fittings in bathroom. Toilet rolls on floor as handle broken. Needs a bit of tiding up. But bed was very comfortable and shower was fine
Room was great with my dog .
Food was just pub food. But at ok , notice a few rooms getting take out. Which I did , one night .
The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Comms beforehand were prompt and helpful. The location is good and access was great for mobility impaired people.
No Aircon (during a brutal 34C heatwave) - staff member went and got a fan on request which helped. Mattresses need replaced (sagging badly in the centre of both twin beds). Window latches of rooms faulty - had to call on staff to help open them. Non smoking rooms but they smelled strongly of cigarettes. Other guests standing right outside our room smoking. Ashtray fixed to fence outside room full of cigarette butts and giving off smoke - had to extinguish with water. Dirty nappy left on the ground outside another room all day.
We love it here. Rooms are clean and staff are friendly
There’s nothing we don’t like but what would make it perfect would be a dog walking area
Lovely calm place
A cute location, in the middle of the rolling English countryside, with plenty of parking, tucked away from disruption. The room had all the basics and a good amount of space. The shower was particularly nice, with plenty of room, an anti-slip mat and good temperature and power. The TV worked well. It was quiet from 11pm, midweek. There was a vending machine in the car park which sold fresh milk, milkshakes, and pastries and desserts. The instructions for arrival were clear and simple.
Lots of small details were evidence of frequent use at a budget price. The mattress was very tired and creaky. The carpet was vaguely smooth and kind of sticky. The bathroom floor didn't dry out despite leaving the fan on and seemed to be more damp over time, not less. The shower head loosened with the power of the water, spraying water randomly. The door and windows were hard to open and close. The fan didn't oscillate. Having no fresh drinking water was a really big issue on hot days - 500ml bottle of water per person didn't last long, and there was no fridge to keep anything cool in either.
Lovely place

Fab lodges, ideal for us. Great pub, lovely food. Free parking.
Nothing not to like
The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent
There was a pervasive smell throughout the lodge which didn’t go away however much we aired the room. I would have expected more water provision than the 2 x 500ml bottles given that the water cannot be consumed.
Rooms are a little quirky, but cosy. Very comfortable bed and quiet location so we got a good night’s sleep. Great bathroom with excellent shower. Ideal location for the local attractions and for Kidderminster. Check in and out was nice and simple and staff were friendly and helpful. There’s no breakfast option as advertised and we didn’t eat at the pub, however, there are plenty of local options for breakfast/brunch (Willow & Boar or Hodgehill Garden Centre café). There is also a lovely little milk vending machine which I would recommend.
Shower water was a little on the cool side, but refreshing in the hot weather!! Water not drinkable so bring your own if the weather’s hot.
I love the layout and decor of the property
We had no fan and it was hot
we stay in room no 11 there is bugs we cant sleep whole night we are waiting for staff but they not pick my call and till10:30 there is nobody
we sit on the chair whole night to wait someone come or pick my call then i can complat to them i have videos and photes of the room with bugs
Location, easy access to all local attractions. On site pub food was good quality.Large beds.
No breakfast available but take your own snacks and have an early brunch elsewhere.
Location was fine.
My room smelt really unpleasant of stale cigarette smoke!! The previous guest must have been a heavy smoker and the whole room and especially the bed absolutely stank of it. If there had been a higher standard of room cleaning this would never have been offered to any guest in this condition.
A clean and spacious room with a great pub a few steps away.
Room 7 had an annoying noise from an adjoining store room that carried on intermittently through the night:( The room smelt fine when we first got there but after an hour or so, a fusty smell appeared in the room and when we closed the bathroom window(it was on the latch when we arrived) a horrible damp smell filled the bathroom:( Also the springs could be felt in the mattress:( These things spoilt our stay:(
Lovely pub , great location for travelling . The food was lovely and very reasonable . fabulous bathroom .Helpful staff
We were in a corner room , although it was lovely and sunny was very dark and had no wifi reception so unfortunatly we had to stand outside to use the phone
Comfortable, spacious room
Very comfy bed. Nice and cosy. Much nicer than a hotel room. Was very quiet overnight. Very relaxing.
Tv was not set up (ROKU based system from wifi). Had done itself a software update and then wanted a new log in. Used wifi to watch tv on phone but wifi itself was very unreliable and kept dropping out completely . There was a portable radio on one of the planters outside the chalets on arrival and was very loud. If you are staying here bring a bottle of water in case you need a drink of water as tap water not potable except when boiled.
Everything from checking in quick and easy and friendly staff, the room was excellent comfortable and clean , a nice touch with two bottles of complimentary water, I ate there too and the food was quality and tastey
the accomoation and instructions for self check in were abslutely fine
despite the info on the booking .com site that there was no need to book a table at the pub next door, as it turned out we did, as it also turned out the pub was fully booked that night and we were told sorry no food by the manager who said sorry but wasnt despite having just driven 180 mles to get there under the pretense there was absolutely no need to book a table! where the hell were we supposed to go!!! as it turned out after a terse conversaion you hurridly equiped us with a meal in the garden, yes we did agree to that, howver as it also turned out there was a snother pub just a 1 mile walk from you, but no, you didnt even suggest that, basically you were ther following: sleeping arrangements good, pub total shite!!
Easy self check in Lovely clean lodge Netflix among other apps on tv Nice bathroom facilities
Room temperature differed a fair bit ( which cannot be helped sometimes ! )
Loved it was clean
Unfortunately my shower was only a trickle and luke warm, otherwise I would of scored much higher.
Very convenient. We were attending a wedding so the fact we could check in late using the keybox worked very well. Clean room with all we needed for a night's stay.
Nothing
Big bed width
Cheapest boingiest sack of springs matress going. Hot uninsulated room (clad shipping container maybe?), only a plug in fan to mitigate this as didn't feel comfortable leaving a big window open on ground floor with people milling about outside. Thin curtains that let loads of light in / especially poor as giant window faces a beer garden and play area so it didnt feel nearly as private as it could. Giant green exit light on ceiling - surely one smaller than a pair of shoes end to end could be used? - see pic Noise from the beer garden though thankfully this had stopped by 11. Unfortunately people hung around in the car park reving engines and chatting by the milk vending machine and playing music well past midnight. Smelt noticably of cigarettes in room and stank of them outside even in the morning when people hadn't been smoking out there for 9hrs. Take ear plugs and eye mask if you do brave it.
Gemütliche Zimmer, sehr nettes Pub Personal, großer Parkplatz, einfaches eigenständiges einchecken
Odalar temeiz değil di ve sürekli yan odalar kavga sesleri geliyordu
Begenilecek bişeyi yok
It was next to the bar for food and drinks. Room was big with a good size bathroom
It had a damp smell and water was not drinking which resulted in me buying 12 bottles of water and did not get replenished without asking
LOCATION, ACCOMMODATION
FOOD OF POOR QUALITY .. GRILLED MEATS LOOKED POACHED
Everything
A bit disappointed in the morning as we couldn't have a shower as there was no water due to a leak. Appart from that everything bang on
Really great little place nice pub next door fairly friendly staff and good food it’s out the way from anywhere else quite peaceful. There is a Kids play area not that that I took mine they’re too old to play on it now! Just for reference for others
It’s quite close to the road if you’re a light sleeper, take ear plugs didn’t bother me much. I was very tired and good TV.
Very good motel style accommodation. Hare and Hound pub doesn't open for breakfast but you can phone an order to nearby fishing lake cafe for good quality inexpensive food to takeaway or eat in at Wild Boar cafe. Dogs have to stay in car though and only open Friday to Sunday.
Attitude of cleaner. Room wasn't ready at 2pm arrival (Stated check in time and room hadn't been cleaned and prepped! He argued that because we had a dog, check in wasn't until 6pm and we were told that on booking. Not true and manager sorted it). 3 cleaning staff and only 9 rooms to prepare after 11am check out time so they should be able to do all of them in 3 hours between them bit they seem to take all day and keep disappearing. Poor staff management.
Great idea key in the key safe. There's no need to see anyone. This is the third stay and the staff in the pub are very helpful if you need anything.
Room was clean, smart and well equipped and milk and snack machine on site which was great
Water was not drinkable and only two small bottles provided. No human contact.
