Pod-Inn Hotel

This is the second time I have stayed here. It my go to place when I am in Toronto. It is quiet, & comfortable. The staff is friendly & professional. I will definitely be back.

很喜欢这里，学习室很安静

Basically it’s like camping.

Very nice location, really clean, highly recommended

It was a pleasent stay.

The check in process was great. The set up to keep your items secure is a bit lacking. There is only a small desk drawer that has a key, but if you have a large bag it stays in a common area. Overall, a pleasant stay. Easily walkable area. Polite staff. I would stay again.

It’s a great hostel for an over night stay

the bed make noise when you move and the set-up is too formal

Good and friendly staff

Great location

Mr. Wahid was very kind and helpful.

Affordable, clean, convenient space

The location is good and close to union station.

During a recent business trip to Toronto, I decided to stay here. I had never stayed at a pod hotel before and the idea fascinated me. Overall, it was a good experience and if pod hotels are your thing, you will find a clean, friendly environment here. Th neighborhood is safe (the location is situated next to a criminal justice/court center) in a quieter part of downtown. The staff were constantly cleaning and keeping the place looking neat and tidy. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of some places to eat and the Metro Convention Center. While this experience taught me that pod hotels are probably not for me, I’d encourage you to give it a try if you never have before.

The POD was convenient, clean and safe in the heart of downtown Toronto. We enjoyed our stay. Staff was professional and helpful.

The staff were very nice everything was clean. The breakfast was simple but good. They had earplugs for free which was a nice touch.i slept very well with earplugs but if you dont have any you'll definitely hear the people around you. Overall a very nice place and will definitely come back if i need to stay in Toronto again.

Would definitely stay again.

The place is clean and very affordable. Staffs are very heare very helpful

Close to Cameron house and horseshoe tavern Lots of good restaurants close Close to VIA train station

It was an OK

We stayed at the Pod-Inn Hotel for 1 night mid September. We arrived at union station via train and the hotel was super close-about a 10 minute walk which was fantastic. The hotel is also in an amazing area downtown close to many food options, drink options and the touristy stuff. The hotel had a clear sign on the outside so you knew the location. It definitely isn't a stay meant for anyone with mobility restrictions. Check in was smooth and quick, we were given a little tour and showed to our pod. The check in clerk was super friendly. We had a large pod which was a top bunk. It's a little difficult getting in and out via the ladder (especially if you get up multiple times at night to use the bathroom) but we managed. The pod was clean, and super comfortable, a little noisey moving around as others said because of whatever metal sheet board is underneath. Mainly I flt bad for the bottom person. Yes you can hear snores etc. But thats to be expected when you share space with others, we used ear buds and were fine. Please note the pod area is a quiet zone. No eating/drinks allowed. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Towels available, nd the social area was also super nice. All in all great stay for a quick stop over. Close to everything, clean and affordable! The only thing I can say is I wish the towels/sheets and comforters were scent free. As a person with allergies and many sensitivities I did find the detergeant a bit strong. Clean yes, but I wish there was no strong smell

I did not end up staying. The place was clean and the staff helpful. Unfortunately my pod was an upper bunk . The tv only works if one has net flicks or Apple TV. The Ladder was very difficult to get up and down -90 degree angle. Perfect inexpensive accomodation if young and agile.

No handicap accessibility.

Keep in mind that it is loud in there due to no doors BUT we expected it to be so. Everything else was great! The breakfast could be better for most people but we usually only have coffee for breakfast so it worked for us. The location is amazing and we will definitely back.

Very clean facilities and simple stay for any who come.

The property was loud at night. Difficult to sleep, and my pod was an upper pod with a ladder.

Staff member professional and courteous.

Friendly staff, cool vibe, decent breakfast! Thanks for hosting us.

People are really nice and the best staff.

Clean and nice

first time at pod, i couldn't get into upper pods, but i am older, it was quiet

It is a pod but served breakfast and facilities were very clean

Nice

The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Everywhere was clean, from the common seating areas, kitchen, washrooms, to the pods themselves. Polite staff, nice location.

Extremely happy with my stay! Given a tour of the facilities during check-in and felt safe the entirety of my stay. Excellent location as well!

Very nice and easy place to stay, kind and helpful staff and very quiet sleeping area. If I’m staying in Toronto again I’ll definitely be back.

Great hostel in a central location. Unfortunately we had the worlds loudest snoring champion in one of the beds so sleeping was challenging. But we were provided with ear plugs. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decent. Would stay here again.

Hostel-like vibe with individual pods. Everyone was respectful and polite, so a good experience. If someone had been loud, it would have been hard to sleep as the sleeping area is open above (no noise insulation). Property was clean and well-maintained, front desk staff was great. Would stay here again.

Friendly staff and service

Very fun concept. Made me feel like I was at summer camp. Beds are very noisy at night which is to be expected. Owner is great and gives you the entire run down. I never felt like my belongings were in danger at any time. Not a far walk from the downtown area. My oly real complaint was the mens bathroom didn't have any paper towels the entire time I was there. They do provide you with regular towels however. Overall I would stay again

The place

Very inexpensive, safe place to sleep. I went with some hesitation, but stayed for 4 nights. I shall return! - DA

It was close enough to the places that I want to go to.

Everything was really good!

Great staff nice spo

I enjoyed my stay at the Pod-Inn overall. The showers, however, are right next to each other with no changing area, so it’s possible to end up changing at the same time as someone else. Personally, I would prefer a single shower with a locking door, even if it meant waiting in line, rather than opening the shower door to find someone changing only a few centimeters away, which did happen to me. On the positive side, the toilets were very clean, the kitchen area was tidy, and my room itself was clean. The staff was also very kind and welcoming, which made the stay much nicer. The main downside for me was the beds—they are extremely loud, so even small movements make a terrible noise, and it’s worse if the person above you moves. I also had concerns about the lack of sheets on the mattress, since you lay directly on it and I’m not sure how thoroughly it gets cleaned. Overall, this hostel does the job for short stays, but I wouldn’t recommend staying longer than about 3 days. The location, though, is excellent—right in Downtown Toronto, just a 5-minute walk from the City Train and Subway. You really can’t beat the location for the price, and I felt very safe walking back late at night after my shows. Would recommend for short stays!

I had a great experience. With free breakfast and clean surroundings. The staffs are accomodating too.

Nice budget friendly option for those who are solo traveling

The staff was lovely and everything I expected from this place I got. Keep in mind though: don’t miss the provided earplugs! Snorers can definitely be heard.

Simple and Cheap if you travel solo. Had everything you need and location wasn’t that far from anything you could do in downtown Toronto.

Good

Surely a couple would pay the same price for a hotel room? Lower bunks make it hard to get into a standing position.

This is no proper design set up for any mature adult, if one had any physical or health limitation you are screwed if checking into this backwards design., ideal for: the very poor, teenagers on a class trip, hostel for rape victims or perhaps halfway house prisoner, …the cramping from the way too tight sleep area, changing area, shower etc… Sleeping quarters are like a shelter, what comes to mind is something in Ukraine after one’s actual home had been bombed., seriously! Not suitable for just anyone., but needs to be advertised more honestly. This place is a disappointment waiting for the next fool to enter and be in for the shock of their lives 1 star maybe 2

You can hear everything

Hosts were super kind, everything was well maintained and found it to be a great experience!

Excellent place. Really enjoyed my stay!

Pod was creaky and lacked ventilation. Every movement from neighboring pods or yours can be heard. One side of locker couldn’t open. Duvet didn’t come with a cover and it looked dirty so didn’t use it. Mattress was dirty looking and you had to put your own mattress cover on. Shower was cramped. No toiletries available in shower. They don’t offer late check-in after 11pm or breakfast before 7am, so take note if arriving late or leaving early. Quiet and safe area of town. Very walkable. Front desk guy was friendly and professional. This is more like a hostel than a hotel. I would not stay here again.

great location and very clean

Stayed one night. Place was clean, doors were labeled and they provide rooms for phone calls or studying! If your prefer having a door, I wouldnt recommend, but I felt perfectly fine and they are blackout curtains to help keep the room dark.

It’s a good option if you want to save money. However, be aware that the beds on the top have too much illumination so it might be difficult to sleep if you get those beds. The owner should charge cheaper for those beds

Perfect spot downtown.

I enjoyed the amenities such as breakfast and laundry, and the price was very reasonable. The staff was there to help you if you needed and they had someone on the door the entire time. The only thing that I would suggest would be more comfortable mattress, and easier access to the top bunk. Not great if you have knee problems.

Excellent place for a night in at downtown Toronto at a budget

Great place to stay for a low price.

The staff very clearly take pride in their space! :)

Great place to stay!

friendly staff. easy to access. everything was incredibly clean

Its a hostel not a hotel. Very noisy.

Great value for money, friendly staff, clean and comfortable.

The kitchen and lounge area are really good. Good free breakfast. Some quiet little rooms for study or work. I hadn’t stayed in a pod style hotel before so I didn’t like the fact I could hear people snoring. I’m sure I snored too. But it’s not too bad I guess. The owner is nice.

Lin was very helpful and friendly. The location is amazing; minutes from public transportation. Street parking is a theft. Underground parking is your safest bet, but check what times you’re charged at (I parked at 5, and was charged the entire day; at 6, I would’ve paid a fraction of the cost!). The ‘rooms’ are cozy and provide all you need; the beds are placed on a metal frame, and squeak and ‘pop’ when you move. If you’re a tall person, you might not fit, length-wise, in the bed. Breakfast consists of bread with pb&j or cream cheese, plus coffee. Nice vibes, cozy, clean.

Great for Solo Travelers

Great concept but if your tall or a light sleeper which I'm both that was the worst sleep I've ever gotten. People are eating, snoring, farting, or just opening and closing the storage box provided. Even with earplugs I could only do 1 night of 3. Booked a hotel the following morning. It is clean and the staff was lovely who checked me in. If you can sleep no problem and are on a budget I would say its a great option.

Vary clean and nice staff

Wish the rooms had doors.

i am so thoroughly impressed!! it seems every little detail has been thought of and for that i am appreciative. my pillow was nice & hard, there was a ledge on my bunk to put stuff, tv in every pod i believe, and lots of nice facilities/spaces on site. both staff members i interacted with were kind & helpful. was able to drop off my backpack before check in. 10/10 am gonna be back! area at night was quiet and safe.

Amazing location and provides everything that you need. Not a bad stay. However a few cons are: 1. 1 ply toilet paper in the bathroom stalls :( 2. Showers are very small 3. Pods are VERY loud when you move around because theyre built on some kind of sheet metal that moves with you. 4. Thin mattress uncomfortable sleep 5. Pretty much the entire place is a quiet zone. So no phone calls unless you go into a tiny booth. If you need somewhere to crash for cheap and dont plan on sticking around this is great! But it's not a very comfortable stay if you want time to rest at your hotel.

Manager was great, environment was sweet and peaceful. Great for a quick stay.

The location is very convenient for transportation. The environment is clean. The staff is very friendly.

It's cheap, a good location, and the staff are amiable. But it's not a hotel. More like a hostel.

Another great stay at The Pod. Highly recommended!

So close to Toronto tourist attractions CN Tower, boardwalk by Lake Ontario, Prince of Wales Theatre, etc. You can walk to everything. Close to subway and train. Free breakfast. Microwave, fridge, toaster, coffee pot, teapot, dishes, silverware provided.

I am very happy to find this place the location and place and the staff are all friendly

Vey clean and conveniently located

very clean and tidy very friendly very helpful

I have stayed here several times now, and it has easily become my go-to place to stay whenever I'm in the city by myself. I absolutely love this place - the staff and wonderful, the place is kept very clean and tidy, and you simply cannot beat the location and price. The beds are comfortable, and while a curtain might not seem like much privacy, it's much better than the nothing most other hostels offer - that curtain makes all the difference! You have your own locked cupboard to keep your personal items in, and they even offer ear plugs to help when there are guests who snore - which is amazing. My only complaint is that the lower bunks can get fairly warm when the curtain is closed due to being insulated from the top bunk above you (top bunk has an open ceiling) so if you run hot at night definitely request a top bunk if you don't want to have your curtain open a bit for circulation. Overall, if you're a solo traveler, you'll be in amazing hands here!

The manager was very friendly and helpful.

It was fine.

Stayed for one night. Place clean, sleeping area nice and quiet. Good for if you need a cheaper price for accommodation.

Friendly staff. Cleaning was done every morning. Earplugs were provided for free.

I liked how it was close to the metro convention center and the rogers center for the concert I went too.

They are great, very chill vibe, cozy and convenient.

Location and convenience. Breakfast was included.

I'm quite an adventurous type. So these types of accommodation suit me. The receptionist showed me what I could find. I really liked the study room where I could prepare for a future interview. There was also food on the table, as I had to get up very early.

Open pods. Little privacy.

I really liked how the people that were staying were respectable towards each other. The staff was friendly as well

You get what you paid. I would suggest people bringing earplugs. People snored all night on the day I stayed.
