RIAD 48 & SPA

Très bel établissement, personnel très chaleureux, chambres spacieuses !

Tutto meraviglioso. Stanza bellissima. Servizio speciale. Spa da dieci e lode. Ristorante top. Personale gentilissimo. Un sogno!

Assolutamente nulla

Beautiful and clean Main floor room was accessible for our son who uses a wheelchair

The washroom could be bigger for those who need the accessibility

Gluten free breakfast with crepes and lovely lunch. People so kind

The room and bathroom was spacious! Breakfast was good!

I booked an appointment for a pedicure, but unfortunately the experience did not meet my expectations. From the start, it felt like the staff were rushed and not well organized. They were still trying to find the necessary tools and accessories for the pedicure while I was already seated, which made the whole process feel unprepared and unprofessional. Additionally, there was a very limited selection of nail polish colors available, so I wasn’t able to have my nails painted at all. After the service, I went to reception to explain the situation and requested a price adjustment since I did not receive the full service. I was told this would be taken into account. However, at checkout, I was charged the full price. When I raised the issue again, I was informed that the receptionist I had spoken to had not passed on the message. Overall, I would not recommend getting a pedicure there, as it is expensive and the experience does not justify the cost.

Riad molto adatto hai gruppi, grande e molto bello. Personale e servizi offerti ottimi

Very clean, great location, staff was extremely caring for us

Nic. Wszystko 10/10.

The service and food was great! The owner Maxime, and his head of staff, Rashid, are so kind and accommodating . Also, I was a bit nervous to eat out of the hotel but you don’t need to! The chef and kitchen is lovely.

We are impressed and grateful for the hospitallity and beauty of the owners, of the personel and the place! It is the first time that I feel that 5 stars can not represent the value of this Riad. Owners and personel were really caring for us! Recommended 100%.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT ..!

We were very comfortable and everything was beautiful

We liked everything

The hotel exceeded expectations and was extremely good.

Wonderful Riad in the middle of Marrakech Medina. Recently refurbished, all comforts and amenities. Staff is extremely kind and ready to help for any need. Great breakfast and we also had very nice dinner. Definitely top choice if we will go back to Marrakech.

Sehr freundliches Personal

The place is was really clean and huge with nice facilities like heaters in the toilet and breakfast area. The interiors were very minimal with Bali resort vibes. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good. The rooftop had a good view of the Atlas Mountains. Service from the staff was really good! Location wasn’t bad but the way to the riad was quite dirty and there were always a lot of young boys loitering around the area.

For the price I thought the place could do a little more with the decoration to make it more warm and Moroccan. Water pressure in the showers were low and it took a long time for the hot water to come on.

Rien

A beautiful tastefully decorated property, clean and calming, love the welcome drinks, breakfast was huge and healthy, staffs are really nice and helpful and went beyond.

Our room windows were facing the terrace where there's traffic so people can see into our room, so when we were in the room, we shut the windows and have the lights on.

This is the sixth riad I’ve stayed in during my travels in Morocco, and it was truly one of the best. The design is beautiful, the furniture is stylish, and the whole place feels authentic and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in every detail, especially Omar who went above and beyond throughout my stay. The laundry service was fast and excellent. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. The chef was very cooperative and even tried to prepare special dishes upon request. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

Nothing

Breakfast was nice and tasty. Service was great. They could have different items to improve. Location was perfect, can walk to the centre in 15 mins. The market next to the riad was bustling and has everything.

Shower pressure wasn’t amazing and occasionally took a while to heat up but this was only really a problem on the first day. Toilet room was really small in the room we had. We also had a massage, it was nice but would suggest adding music.

Staff attentive and friendly. Chef catered to my gluten free needs at breakfast with GF pancakes - the only Riad to do this during my 3 wk stay in Morocco. Each day we received bottled water AND filtered drinking water for bathroom needs. Comfy bed in room 8.

The bathroom should have been cleaned more thoroughly each day and the room vacuumed given how much dirt we track in daily. I might choose a room with a shower stall instead of a tub with wand next time.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Riad 48&Spa, mainly because of the comfort of the place, the cleanliness and the great service from the team. The place is very neat and well decorated, located in the Medina but still in a very quiet area. Breakfast was always large and tasty!

Stylish and vibrant Riad in excellent location-very well run, with superb staff. Thanks to Omar for his kindness and endless hard work.

Nothing - it's a great place.

Stunning modern Riad and beautifully designed courtyard! Room was incredibly spacious and bathroom had 2 sinks and 2 showers like a 5 star hotel, more than enough for a room for 3 people. Everywhere was spotless clean and room was beautifully designed! Traditional Moroccan interior design with a modern twist; truly looked forward to going back to the hotel everyday after a tiring day in the souks. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Morocco: included vegetable soup, pastries, eggs, fresh orange juice, yoghurt best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel/riad in Morocco. Hosts were super accommodating with anything extra we needed, helped us to move our baggage to our next riad. Can’t wait to be back!🥰

Beautiful rhiad with very stylish interiors. The whole place smelt amazing. We had a family room and it was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was gorgeous with double shower and sink. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely.

No pool but I saw one was being built!

Very friendly host and staff. Centrally located and convenient for all day trips.

Great location, nice and quiet to sleep, easy to reach.

Beautifully decorated and well located Riad. Fantastic helpful owner and staff. Nice breakfast. Comfortable bedrooms and excellent WiFi. Lovely quiet roof terrace.

Shower - really poor water pressure and unfortunately always cold in the morning. Water heated by solar on roof so nice and warm come late afternoon but unless you like cold showers, forget first thing in the morning

The riad is charming, both in its public areas and in the rooms. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully decorated, with comfortable mattresses, a minibar, and fully functional AC, and the cleanliness is exemplary. The room was perfectly arranged every day. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and I was able to work without any problems. Amazing rooftop, with plenty of space for all guests. Breakfast was excellent and very plentiful, with a clear local focus, which means it leaned more toward sweet than salty items, more like in Italy. Local soups, fresh juice, fresh bread..We enjoyed it all four mornings of our stay. The staff was very kind, respectful, and eager to help/solve any situation, from preparing breakfast 10 minutes earlier because we were leaving for an excursion, to calling a taxi. We really appreciated this and thank them sincerely.

As for negatives, I would only mention that access to the property is via a narrow street, which might cause some concern at night; however, it is well-lit and the area seemed safe, so from this perspective, set your expectations accordingly. There were also minor noise issues: the staff begins preparations early in the morning, and since our room faced the kitchen and dining area, you could occasionally hear some activity, but overall, we slept well.

Very nice stuff and delicious food

Nothing specific. Maybe hot water could come out quicker to avoid water waste

This Riad is a wonderful place to stay. The place is clean and beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable. The location is great. It is right inside of the old city wall which makes it easy for the cabs to access and quieter as it's not down at the market. However the main market is only about a 15-20 minute walk which is easy to do. We felt very comfortable walking back late at night. (We were there in Oct so not as crowded). The food is wonderful. Breakfast is included and when you arrive they greet you with tea and pastries. I would highly recommend this Riad as a safe, comfortable, clean place to stay in Marrakech. They will also pick you up at the airport and arrange for a taxi back. There is a reasonable fee for this and they put the rides on your hotel bill so you don't need to pay the taxi. (Fee is just the cost of the ride no additional cost).

La chambre et le jacuzzi

Les travaux dans l’établissement

absolutely beautiful property and amazing staff

Lovely Riad and the chef kindly prepared a lovely gluten free breakfast ( I am coeliac)

We had a wonderful stay at Riad 48 & Spa! Located inside the Medina but in a very quiet area, the Riad offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The building feels quite new, everything is extremely clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the overall design is tasteful and fresh. The rooftop terrace is absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, and the staff were happy to accommodate any special requests. Although we didn’t use the spa, it looked inviting and well-kept. The team is very friendly and helpful—they can organize nearly anything you need, just ask. A great choice for a quiet and comfortable stay in Marrakech!

This riad is a beautiful oasis of calm in the Kasbah neighbourhood of Marrakech's medina; walking distance to many sights and conveniently accessible from the airport. The attentive care of all the staff was exceptional; we enjoyed delicious meals on site and they were always available to help with taxi bookings. The rooms are clean and modern with traditional Moroccan touches; superb bathroom.

Beautiful Riad with very attentive staff. Food available was fresh and delicious. Spa treatments were relaxing and professional. Rooftop spacious for relaxing on lounger and eating. Only 10 rooms which makes it special.

Extension work made substantial noise, but I guess it can't be helped.

Stunning property. Excellent location, food was absolutely outstanding, as were the team there

Nothing. It was absolutely brilliant

Incredible breakfast!! Lovely terrace. Helpful staff, fair pricing gor extras like taxis and tours.

The location was excellent, extremely safe area even though we were two women staying there (I was travelling with my mum) and staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

There was no telephone in the room so we had to go downstairs every time we needed something. The property was clean, however we could hear sounds from downstairs into our room, and just everything else in general.

Great location and beautiful interior. Reception staff was helpful and made our stay really comfortable in Marrakesh. Room was pretty authentic and comfortable

Our room was facing kitchen side(interior yard above the kitchen) and staff was really loud(screaming and laughing) starting from 6AM. So take it into a count and buy earplugs for your own comfort.

Our stay at Riad 48 Spa was fantastic! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, blending authentic Moroccan charm with modern touches. The riad’s architecture was stunning, and we loved the thoughtful details like filtered water. The jacuzzi was pure relaxation, and enjoying breakfast on the balcony with a beautiful view was the perfect way to start the day. The location was perfect—right in the heart of the city, close to all major attractions, yet peaceful and completely safe. Highly recommend this riad for an unforgettable stay in Marrakech!

Beautiful local breakfast. Quiet location in Kasbah. Impeccably clean. The spa treatments are a must-do. Beautiful hammam.

It would be nice to have a key to the front door. Maybe expand the terrace offering- a plunge pool and some music.

A warm, attentive welcome was extended throughout our stay. The riad is relatively newly renovated with many charming authentic touches. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We felt at home with all needs met with kindness. We ate a few times in the evening and all meals were superb, better than any restaurants we visited. The cook is excellent, offering Moroccan, Asian food. The breakfasts were always varied with fresh produce cooked creatively and plentiful. We would stay again definitely. The Kasbah was quiet at night and easy by foot to reach to walk to the Medina in 15 mins. We always felt safe.

We were in a family room and some hooks to hang coats/jackets would have helped.

It is a beautiful property. Spacious rooms, beautiful furniture. Nice little corners are created to relax. Modern Moroccan design. The breakfast is delicious and huge. You could go on it for the whole day, we loved it! And we loved all the staff, they make the place feel alive!

In the morning it was really cold. It felt like low season, roof terras was not up & running, no spa facilities. To get to the riad you will need to take some small back road and alleys. With two small kids at night it felt a little unsafe.

Lovely place to stay with incredible staff. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and the food was excellent. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. They even smelled good! It feels like a traditional riad with a modern twist. Spa services are fairly priced. We were traveling with a young child and the hotel arranged for a crib with infant pillow, high chair, and stroller without being prompted. The staff doted on our child and even offered to entertain him briefly while we ate breakfast. Mr. Omer was a particular joy. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were always going above and beyond to help out. Rooms were quite large and spacious. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was great.

I had an excellent stay at this Riad. The staff, services and facilities were second to none

Architecture is amazing. Beautiful rooms, terrace, common area… everything well designed. There are also massage and some personal care facilities.

No parking but just across the street there is private parking spot. Safe and you can leave the car how long would you like.

Welcoming and proactive staff. Flexible and supportive.

Room close to the entrance was noisy, got cold very fast (not well insulated). Same with the shared spaces.

Excellent RIAD with very professional, polite, and helpful staff members who made it a very enjoyable and personal experience for my family and I. My only dislike was that due to some construction around the RIAD it was hard to navigate through the broken streets and sidewalks as it was still under development and construction.

As frequent travelers, we have relied on others’ reviews to influence our choice of places to stay. I will start by saying we came across Riad 48 by accident, with little to no reviews on Expedia, but decided to take the risk as the photos were lovely. I now am writing a review solely based on how I would love to read a review if I was in the process of choosing where to stay :) Location: It is near to the centre by foot (about 15-20 min walk). Getting to the riad is fairly easy (trust Google / Apple Maps), though it may seem a little sketchy because of the side streets (which also have plenty of food options), just don’t be spooked by the appearance because it’s very safe and the people around are the friendliest people you’ll encounter (also loads of cute cats and kids). Stay: Now here’s the part where we will try to write our gratitude and pleasantry concisely. The moment you step in the door is a complete transformation. The riad is newly built. The vibe and aesthetics are beyond words. Everything is clean and proper. You can just lounge around in the lobby and relax (take really good photos). It is peaceful and quiet. They also have the best spa area for complete r&r (even have all the options for hair removal/eyebrows/waxing etc with its own hammam). Room: The rooms are so unique! Very uniquely designed and spacious not to mention very clean. Has a smart tv, air con

We had a pleasant 3-night stay at RIAD 48 & SPA in Marrakesh. Rooms: We appreciated the fresh towels delivered daily and the high-quality linens, which were laundered within the hotel (not outsourced to a local laundry) — a nice touch. The shower had strong water pressure (a rarity in hotels), and there was a heated towel rail that added to our comfort: having a warm towel on a cool Moroccan night or the option to wash and dry clothes was a welcome luxury. The wi-fi worked perfectly fine. Breakfasts: We liked local flatbread and lentil and legume soup/porridge. Staff & extra: Mohammed, the receptionist, was welcoming and helpful. We also appreciated the airport transfer, especially since our driver patiently waited over three hours due to lengthy passport control and security at Marrakesh airport. The neighborhood felt safe, and we had no issues while exploring.

A few areas could use improvement to make the experience even better. 1) The room cleaning could be more thorough — there were spider webs in the corners and in the lampshade, stains on the bathroom walls and floor, and even some random scraps of scotch tape on the floor that had been overlooked. 2) The room itself was quite dark, and the only way to get more light and fresh air was to open a window facing the riad’s lounge area, where smoking is allowed. As non-smokers, this was less than ideal. 3) Water bottles are not refilled by default, but we understand — well, that’s Africa! 4) The breakfast was lovely but leaned heavily on bread and fruits. It would be great to have more savory, local options like vegetables, lentils, or beans. A note to anyone arriving at Marrakesh airport: Be prepared for a long wait at the airport — it can take 2-3 hours to pass through passport control, so plan accordingly!

The road is lovely and the staff were very attentive and helpful. They accommodated us well when we had to adjust plans due to delayed luggage.

Really nice place and people. Loved the riad and will come back

As long as there was still construction going on there was some missing routine. But they did everything to cover. Thank you!

The riad is stylish and well furnished. It is new and very clean. The room is spacious and cozy. The breakfast was great. The staff were helpful and gave us a lot of suggestions.

Nothing. I wish I could stay here longer and try the food from their restaurant.

A magnificent riad!!! Highly recommended!!! We stayed for 5 nights and we felt wonderful in this riad . Large and well-decorated rooms. Huge and luxurious shower. A great open roof overlooking the city. Wonderful and delicious Moroccan cuisine that does not fall short of any high standard restaurant in the city .close by foot to the main square and all the main attractions in Marrakech. Morad the manager of the riad, welcomed us with warmth and patience. And helped us with everything. Thank you so very much for your generosity and kindness. Udi and yahir

great location, very well kept, very friendly staff

advertised evening entertainment not sure what that was as there was nothing at all happening in the evenings that we were there.

Food was great, the best we tried in Marrakech. Staff was really professional and friendly, they made our stay that much more enjoyable. Food they prepared especially lunch was great every time, so much that we will be back there for lunch even after leaving the hotel while in Marakech

Everything was fine

This Riad was exceptional. The location was perfect, quiet in the evenings and walking to the Medina. The design was gorgeous and the food was amazing. The chef prepared everything fresh and the traditional Moroccan dinners were 10/10. We will be back! Thank you.

Excellent styling. Modern but retaining local colour and design.

Everything was excellent.
