We paid backpacker prices, but room and facilities were like a decent motel in a great destination!! Everything seemed new and fresh! Great value for money!!!

Great location, i had a private room which is a part of a 3 room area, with a shared kitchen for the 3 rooms. Great location. Staff member was really nice on check in.

Loved my stay here! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Kitchen facilities are great with all the extras such as air fryer etc. Muffins on arrival, coffee machine/hot chocolate, soup, popcorn, just all extras that add to the experience of staying here. Bedroom was spotless & they had a fan heater that was a dream. Honestly the best place I've stayed along the west coast by a mile.

Jacuzzi que nos permitieron usar fuera de horario porque llegamos tarde/ personal encantador. El apartamento súper equipado y cómodo

Por poner una pequeña pega, no había ascensor.

Wonderful place with complimentary delicious soup and popcorn and you can even use their hot tub for an hour as part of the package.

The sink in the bathroom was a bit too small.

One of the best stays that we’ve had in New Zealand! Very friendly and helpful staff, hot tub, amazing beyond words kitchen - coffee and popcorn machines, any kind of utensils or equipment that you might think of, and even complimentary soup and dessert! All facilities are extremely clean and it feels like every detail was thought of, no matter how small. Great value for money. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back, thank you!

If really being picky, perhaps the room felt just a little too small and the sound isolation was not perfect, but majority of the places have the same, so it really does not change the whole experience at all and the place is great

This place was absolutely awesome. Kind and welcoming staff. Very nice rooms and awesome kitchen area downstairs. Also soup and chocolate cake and popcorn and a coffee machine and ice machine. More then I expected. Have nothing bad to say and would recommend to people to stay here

Zentrale Lage, sehr gutes Preis!-/Leistungsverhältnis. Gut ausgestattet, viel Platz. Sehr aufmerksamer Service. Wir kamen nach den Öffnungszeiten an und uns erwarte ein Kuchen.

We went out of season and it was so quiet which ment we could make the most of the facilities

Amazingly clean and very well thought through, kitchen and sitting area is great, rooms are lovely, really enjoyed the heater in the cold weather. The hot tub with a tv to watch on the tub is a great touch, free bike hire and access to Netflix!

The staff was lovely, she offered us free muffins on arrival and honestly her customer service was 100/10, also very attentive and polite a very lovely lady.

The room I booked was much MUCH smaller in person, the bathroom/ensuite was so small your feet touched the shower door while you were on the toilet and the shower lost all heat mid shower resulting in a very very cold and difficult time. Not to mention the shower was so small I could barely bend over to pick up my shampoo or conditioner inside it.

Muffins on arrival made us feel very welcome from the beginning! Amenities all around and smart tv in the room (private room)

When we were greeted with a free buffet at reception, I knew this place would be special. From complementary soup to popcorn to coffee machines to soap to hair straighteners and beautiful facilities, this place has it all. AND a hot tub.

The property itself was perfect for our trip to the glaciers. It also lived up to its name (keas came visiting us in the morning).

有一天房間有跳電情況，但工作人員有來幫忙了。我皮膚較敏感，床單起毛球有點不舒適。

The room was very comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful. I got to use the hot tub and that's an amazing perk. The kitchen was easy to use and never too busy. Also free popcorn!

There's a TV in the room but no cable or streaming connected (that I could figure out) so I just watched YouTube.

Very simple check in / check out process. I arrived a bit late (after front desk is closed) and there was a lock box to get the keys. We got a couple muffins when we check in, that was very nice considering the town was shut and we couldn't find many options for dinner. Very clean. Free popcorn, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee in the shared common room. I would book again if I ever come back to Franz Josef.

The heater was a bit confusing to use.

We were upgraded to studio room, the room was very nice with glacier view from our room!

Unfortunately studio room was only on 3rd floor and there was no elevator. But still, the room was worth it!

Gute Lage, Zimmer schön, aber nicht unbedingt praktisch. Name ist Programm: eine Bande wilder Keas im Nachbargarten!

Zähne putzen bei dieser Waschbeckenkonstruktion? Da muss man gezielt spucken lernen! Dusche mit Duschkopf an der Wand. Eine Salatschüssel wäre nett, Küche aber ansonsten super ausgestattet

The overall style and design, the nice atmosphere. the lovely pictures on the walls, the nice little details, soaps etc. Fascilities and equiptment, the cleanliness.

The bathroom and basin are much too small in the room with the bathroom. No reception people for getting advice in the evening.

Adorable boutique motel! Staff were fabulous, commons area awesome! Fire pit so comfy! Perfect place AND we got to see the Kea birds!!!

Location. Walking distance to everything except of course the glacier which is a short drive away. Plenty showers and toilets. Well equipped kitchen with free soup, popcorn, coffee and tea.

It's a lodge so all as expected.

The kitchen was big, with lots of seating, and had everything you might need. Room was clean and comfortable. Great location to the town. Plenty of free parking.

Thin(ish) walls/ceiling. My room was at the top of the stairs, so could get loud with folks walking up and down the stairs, and with the family (kids running?) on the 3rd floor.

Fantastic place to stay. We loved it! Very clean, spacious and exceptional value for money.

Room was a little bit small, but clean and comfortable, had everything you might need. The kitchen and communal lunge area was well equipped, cosy and pleasant to use.

Can not think of anything, room was not the most spacious one, but we knew that and it was cosy.

Room was nice but it is a hostel kind of a setup so the rooms are small close together and walls are thin so you can hear people talking, showering, etc. Good amenities are the location, though and they even had a pretty nice hot tub that you can reserve for just your group.

The spa which was a real treat, comfortable clean en-suite room at a reasonable price, accommodating staff, well equipped communal kitchen and dining area with free milk, coffee, tea & popcorn!, central location in village

Spa was great, but not very private, and no changing facilities, so you had to walk across the driveway back to your rooms to change, but there was no one around, and it was a warm night, so worked very well for us.

The room is great, very luxurious. It has everything. Outside the room is a toilet and shower. There is a well-equipped kitchen Equipped with everything. The place offers hot drinks, popcorn and hot soup which is great. I really liked my stay here.

We loved the kitchen and the very comfortable beds. Having access to the spa after a long hike was a real treat. The welcome muffins were also much appreciated. So far, it's been the best place that we've stayed at in New Zealand. We would highly recommend it.

Super Lage mit wunderschön eingerichteten Zimmern. Wir fanden die Küche, das Wohnzimmer mega ausgestattet. Die ganze Unterkunft war sehr sauber.

Die Isolierung ist etwas schlecht, sodass man die Nachbarn deutlich hören kann.

这里有很多年轻人来住，有一个超大的厨房，可以和来自全世界的人一起交流，酒店旁边加油站后面有一个很实惠的超市可以买到便宜又新鲜的食材。我们入住的时候，员工还温馨的给了我们一人一大个巧克力饼。

The room was clean and we even got a huge cookie when checking in. The staff were super friendly and multiple people offered to help us with our bags.

The bathroom was very small and cramped. Granted, we're tall people, but it was nearly impossible to wash our faces without water spilling everywhere. Smaller people might have a more comfortable experience.

Room is super clean, shared bathroom too. Big kitchen has everything you would need with a few extra free staff that makes you feel more comfortable like popcorn, supp and marshmallow. Small advice: book the hot pool and enjoy your evening.

Great value for money, room was perfect. Clean and comfy bed and amazing little heater that kept us warm all night! So many facilities, bathroom is very clean and tidy. Great location too.

This was the best hostel we have stayed at!! The staff were so nice and even gave us warm muffins when we checked in. The bedroom was so comfy and spacious, we slept so well. The kitchen was clean and they provided popcorn, homemade soup and hot drinks.

It wasn’t the properties fault but other people were loud till quite late at night/ early in the morning, maybe remind people of the quiet times? Some people seemed to just help themselves to the popcorn without using the scoop, quite unhygienic but again not the properties fault.

The rooms were super comfortable, and the kitchen area was amazing, I had coffee, hot chocolate and marshmallows! Free popcorn. And i was able to cook with very good utensils, pots and pans. Fantastic.

Wow, what incredible value for money! This property has so much to offer, a nice big kitchen to cook, lovely lounge, the bed and room were so comfortable! The spa was an awesome addition and we really enjoyed this ammenity. They also had free soup and popcorn, it was very cool! Location is right in town so it's easy to walk everywhere. We were very impressed by this lodge.

Great location and easy check in/out. Got free muffins when checking in and there was free soup and popcorn in the kitchen which was a great bonus. Easy to explore local hikes and explore fox glacier. Also seeing lots of Keas was a big bonus.
