Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Clean and well maintained traditional hotel. High standards. Excellent location right on campus. Large rooms with working desk and bonus sink/vanity area outside the bathroom. Could use some updating. But not because it felt old at all. Just on the older traditional side. Would be nice to see some more modern traditional decor to upgrade for this price point. Also, would prefer water station with ice maker in each floor instead of vending machine. :(

Shower head is very low. If you're taller than 5 ft 6 you'll have to squat to get under it. There's noisy construction right outside the window. Ask for a room facing the parking lot or expect to be woken up at 7 am by machinery every day, even Saturdays.

The room very comfortable, we loved to have so many mirrors and to be able to have a way to get ready faster since there were two sinks, one inside the bathroom and another one outside. The beds were amazing. We rested wonderfully! We did not try the breakfast!

Reviewed May 31, 2026I stayed at the Inn while visiting my daughter at Virginia Tech and had an enjoyable stay overall. The location is excellent, with easy walking access to both the university campus and the main road, making it very convenient for visitors. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. While the rooms were comfortable, they could benefit from some updates, as they are starting to show their age. Overall, the Inn offers a great location and attentive service, making it a good choice for anyone visiting Virginia Tech.

Poor air conditioning. Refrigerator would not chill even after turning controller to colder set point. Refrigerator compressor made loud cyclical noises. No fan in the bathroom to manage humidity after showers. No microwave. Beds are extraordinary soft (too soft). I rarely complain, but this time needed to list many issues unfortunately
