Staff is not warm, just robotically efficient and no nonsense vibes which i guess is ok but having a warm welcome helps relieve the exhaustion of long drives

Ease of access to the shops near the hotel.

The cost to stay was $25 than I was quoted. I haven't received the invoice to ask why.

The breakfast was very good--great strawberries. blueberries, & bananas. Location of coffee was great & out of the way where food was served. Great location!

Did not have any bath towels in the room---I used hand towels to wipe after a shower. Also dust or dirt near the bed...noticed when I dropped a bottle cap. Not enough parking spots. Upon checking in, receptionist or whoever checked me in was eating french fries & wiped her hands on her pants. Yuk!

The breakfast was available till 9 am only. This is the only thing that I didn't enjoy during my stay here. Wish they are open till 10 am at the least. Also the bed was too plush. Wish it was firm.

There is an opportunity for improvement for the bar tending service.

Excellent experience- peaceful, private, spacious, and clean, only minutes from VT campus. Numerous amenities make this the perfect family stay when visiting VT and Blacksburg. Highly recommend it!

Very close to Virginia Tech. Breakfast was excellent!

I like the location and just walking distance to virginia tech.

The A/C is so LOUD! We did not sleep well each time we stayed there. This really needs to be changed, especially for people who travels from 8-10 hours.

The biggest positive about Hyatt Place Blacksburg is location, location, location both to Virginia Tech and my daughter's off campus apartment. Nice that breakfast is included even if it is fairly basic -- was happy they had fresh fruit included. The bed was softer than I remember last time I visited -- not a fan of soft beds but the overall facility is nice.

Great location and atmosphere. Staff is awesome very attentive and helpful. Right next to VT campus. Restaurants, shopping close by. Convenient and easy to locate.

Nit Picking - The water pressure in the shower could be a little better. Its ok if you prefer a very gentile rain.

My son and I stayed one night while in town for VT orientation. I'd stayed in VT's hotel and wanted to try someplace new; Hyatt Place was highly rated. It was okay. It's your average 3 star hotel. It was very clean and felt safe. Parking was convenient. The staff was helpful and service was quick. I workout daily and found the gym to meet my needs, even though it did surprisingly get crowded in the evening. The room is a little worn and dated, which is no issue for the price during low season (~ $133 with taxes). However, I have heard that when VT has major events, all the local hotels double, triple, or quadruple their rates. I understand supply & demand, but I would have a meltdown if I paid $300+ for the room we were in. The quality of the room and amenities (water, quality soap, shower cap, qtips, room safe) simply are not offered. I did appreciate the included breakfast. Although I didn't find any food that caught my eye, my teen son went back for seconds.

I really loved the location on the campus. The facility was clean and the staff was extremely helpful. I appreciate the ability to late check out.

I travel frequently for work and this hotel is by far one of, if not the best I've stayed in. The room and hotel were very clean and the breakfast was outstanding for a hotel. I could have not been more impressed. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Beautiful hotel. The only reason not a 5 star is the breakfast. While there was a lot to choose from, the "hot" items were actually cold. Simple fix. . .turn on your warmer tables where you put the "hot" stuff.

The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel in a long time. I was impressed! There's a 24-hour fitness room. Late check-in (11:30 PM) was a breeze.

The location was a bit far off the highway, but it was the only hotel that met my criteria so it was worth the 10-minute deviation.

Excellent location and atmosphere! Hotel is clean, weight room maintained, staff kind and attentive, breakfast had high protein low carbohydrate options. Considering most hotels their coffee is excellent and they have real half and half. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Bathroom is well appointed with grab bars and plenty of towels.

Slamming doors in hallway from other guest kept us up most of the night and started very early in the morning. While this isn't the hotels fault specifically, the doors are incredibly heavy and slam very easily.

we were very impressed, the hotel is newer, it was central to the Virginia Tech Visitor center -perfect for touring the university. The room was very clean, modern, big and quiet. The breakfast has our expectations really surpassed. It has fresh products, very tasty and we even had no plastic cubs etc. There are a lot of restaurants for dinner just around the corner. Highly recommended to stay there.

I stayed here for a multi-day conference across the street. It was easy walking distance. Many nearby conveniences. Parking was a little crowded, but I was able to find convenient spaces during my stay. The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Check-in and check-out were very easy. Overall, I would highly recommend this facility if you need to stay in this area.

A nice, well equipped hotel close to pretty much everything. Always my go to when in Blacksburg. Comfortable quiet rooms, nice staff. Have stayed here multiple times and appreciate the consistency of accommodations.

The location of the property was excellent. We were visiting VT and were able to walk to campus to explore. There were shops and restaurants in walking distance.
