Nasz pobyt w Mathis Retreat Ubud był po prostu przecudowny! To wyjątkowe miejsce, w którym od pierwszej chwili można poczuć spokój i prawdziwy klimat Bali. Ogromne wrażenie zrobił na nas przepiękny basen z widokiem na pola ryżowe. Można godzinami odpoczywać, podziwiając zieleń i otaczającą przyrodę. Szczególnie cudowne były poranki – podczas pysznych, rewelacyjnych śniadań mogliśmy rozkoszować się ciszą, pięknym widokiem i obserwować codzienną pracę mieszkańców na polach ryżowych. Na szczególne wyróżnienie zasługuje obsługa. Cały zespół był niezwykle serdeczny, uśmiechnięty i pomocny. Na każdym kroku czuliśmy, że pracownicy naprawdę dbają o swoich gości i starają się spełnić każdą prośbę. Pomogli nam również w wynajęciu skutera i we wszystkim, czego potrzebowaliśmy podczas pobytu. Jedzenie było przepyszne, śniadania fantastyczne, a atmosfera całego hotelu sprawiała, że naprawdę trudno było stąd wyjeżdżać. To miejsce ma w sobie coś wyjątkowego – piękne widoki, ciszę, wspaniałą atmosferę i przede wszystkim cudownych ludzi. Z całego serca polecamy Mathis Retreat Ubud i z ogromną przyjemnością tutaj wrócimy! ❤️

We really enjoyed the peaceful location of the hotel. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud and enjoy a more quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Even though the crazy road isn’t far away, the Retreat was serene and peaceful.

Çalışanlar çok yardımsever ve ilgiliydi. Aktiviteler vardı fakat programımız çok yoğun olduğu için katılamadık. Odalar temizdi ve büyüklükleri gayet iyiydi. Havuzu, pirinç tarlaları ile manzarası harikaydı

Yatak daha konforlu olabilirdi. Oda çok rutubetliydi. Bu genel bir Ubud sorunu da olabilir. Sineklerden ve böceklerden dolayı balkon kapısını açık bırakamadım, banyonun nemi kaldı içeride, belki o nedenle böyle hissettim.

Un immense merci pour l’accueil et pour ce merveilleux séjour ! Nous avons passé un moment incroyable dans cet hôtel. Tout était parfait, mais surtout l’accueil et la gentillesse de toute l’équipe, qui nous ont vraiment touchés. Tout le monde est au petit soin. L’hôtel est très bien placé un vrai havre de paix, en 10min de scooteur dans le centre de Ubud et à l’abris de tout le trafic c’est très agréable. Nous avons pu faire un cours de yoga avec une professeur vraiment super et dans un cadre vraiment splendide. Nous garderons un très beau souvenir de notre séjour à Ubud. Si nous revenons à Ubud, nous reviendrons sans hésiter dans cet hôtel !

Personnel très accueillant, cadre magnifique et particulièrement reposant. Un séjour parfait !

Molto autentico, personale gentilissimo e sempre sorridenti. Siamo stati 5 notti e nel complesso molto bene. Quando siamo arrivati ci hanno offerto un upgrade della stanza e sono stati molto gentili e carini e la stanza era stupenda.

Purtroppo però quella stanza era disponibile solo per 3 notti e quindi poi per le ultime due notti ci è toccata la stanza che avevamo prenotato, la quale, onestamente, non meritava il costo. Il bagno aveva forte odore, forte rumore ogni volta che accendevi la luce e il lavandino perdeva acqua. La colazione alla carta inclusa nel prezzo ottima ma se prendi un secondo caffè te lo fanno pagare 3 euro, un po troppo direi in una zona nota per la produzione e il consumo del caffè. Il ristorante buonissimo. Abbiamo mangiato tutti i giorni lì e alcuni giorni pure due volte. Tutto buonissimo. Il costo dell’acqua però esagerato, 3 euro una piccola bottiglia.

Site magnifique et douce tranquillité.

Dans le superbe bungalow proche piscine et restaurant, la seule ombre au tableau est que la lumière des toilettes allume toute la salle de bain et renvoie du coup la lumière dans la chambre. Une lampe dédiée juste aux WC eut été simple et pratique. C’est un détail qui n'influence en aucune manière la sensation de bien-être qu'apporte l’hotel et cette chambre.

Super vriendelijk personeel, geweldige locatie met prachtig zwembad en uitzicht. Heerlijk eten en fijne kamer met mooie badkamer.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Mathis Ubud Retreat sehr genossen. Insbesondere möchten wir das sehr leckere A la Carte Frühstück hervorgeben, die sehr gepflegte Anlage mit schönem Pool und Aussicht über die Reisfelder, die geräumigen Garden Bungalows sowie die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des ganzen Personals. Auch die Lage etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums mit auch verschiedenen Restaurants in der Nähe schätzten wir sehr.

Einziges Manko war der eher unangenehme, modrige Geruch sowohl im Zimmer wie auch an der Frottee- und Bettwäsche, wohl aufgrund der eher hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit. Dies trübte unsere Ankunft etwas und hier könnte sicher mit wenig Aufwand viel erreicht werden, z.B. Duftstäbchen, Waschmittel, etc. Nichtsdestotrotz empfehlen wir das Hotel absolut weiter!

Aucun point négatif, si ce n'est que l'hôtel est un peu excentré par rapport au centre ville d'Ubud, mais c'est un choix pour avoir de la tranquillité

Beautiful hotel, just a little bit outside Ubud centre, but close to Sayan and Penestanan, which are the best areas in Ubud anyway. You are able to make a stunning and quiet ricefield walk on the back of the hotel. Staff amazing, room great, restaurant on side; GREAT!

Relatively early in the morning, staff already started work in the hotel garden, including mowing the grass which made a lot of noise and made it hard to sleep in.

Muy buen personal! Atienden increíble, muy amables, siempre preocupados de hablarme por whatsapp. La pieza muy buena, muy grande y la cama increíble. La vista del restaurant hermosa y muy buena comida.

Il resort è molto bello e rilassante. Vista risaia. La piscina è bella e grande. Il ristorante buonissimo. La stanza è grande e molto bella. Lo consiglio. Adatto ad una famiglia.

Very peaceful and beautiful in the rice Paris

Kedewatan street is full of potholes and quite dangerous to walk especially at night. But this is not the hotels fault

Loved the pool, gardens and grounds. The outlook over the rice paddies was stunning. Restaurant looked beautiful and food was fine. Staff and service great. Short drive to central Ubud, but quiet location with some nice walks and cafes nearby.

Water in shower could have been hotter- not hot enough for a bath. Curtains in bathroom not adequate, bed pretty hard. Would have loved drinking water available- at least at breakfast.

Abbiamo organizzato con loro due giorni di tour e il trasporto dall’aeroporto ed è stato tutto perfetto. Pulizia impeccabile. Colazione eccellente.

The property was beautiful, quiet, and clean. Our rooms were clean comfortable and looked out over the rice fields. The pool and restaurant were both excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was a nice distance from the busy town centre and they had a free shuttle.

De locatie was top, het personeel is erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk en het eten was divers en lekker.

Er zat geen douche gordijn/ scherm voor de douche. Daarnaast was de douche in de badkuip aan de lage kant waardoor we niet staand konden douchen.

It’s very quiet yet well connected

Our stay at Mathis Retreat Ubud was simply wonderful. From the moment we booked until the day we left, we felt genuinely cared for. The team stayed in regular contact with us through Booking.com before our arrival and proactively offered assistance with transportation from the airport. We have stayed in many 5-star hotels, yet we have rarely experienced such attentive and personal service. The retreat itself is a true sanctuary of peace and tranquility. The entire staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and they even address guests by name, which makes the experience feel very personal. A special thank you goes to Nisa at the reception and her colleague, who were both incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. Our bungalow was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained, as was the entire property. The atmosphere throughout the retreat is relaxing and serene, making it the perfect place to unwind. We also participated in the cooking class, which was excellent and a lot of fun. In addition, we enjoyed several treatments at the spa, where the massages were truly first-class and among the best we have experienced. The breakfast was another highlight. It was served directly at the table and offered a great selection of delicious dishes. We particularly appreciated not having to deal with crowded buffet lines, which made the mornings much more relaxed and enjoyable. The food throughout our stay was excellent, and the restaurant staff were always friendly, attentive, and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and would not hesitate to return. We will also gladly recommend Mathis Retreat Ubud to our friends and family. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We hope to see you again soon!

I like the stuff they were so polite and caring we swim and we walk in the fields we eat dinner in the restaurant it was good But something happened after the check out we went to another resort far away 45 minutes They called us because we took 1 slipper and they want it back ! And they took the address of new resort and come to took it !!! No hotel or resort take the personal stuff again 😂😂 even the employer who called us he was ashamed of that !!

Lovely relaxing place in the middle of rice fields away from crowded and polluted centre Ubud. We loved the location, staff was extremely friendly especially with our 2 yrs old son. He loved seeing the ducks everyday, was such a highlight for him, and we loved our stay. Very peaceful, accomodating and also organised structure for such a boutique hotel. Food was also really nice, we miss the breakfast view. And got to eat at the same restaurantbat night - tasteful and clean

Nothing really, except perhaps small invasion of ants on our balcony (but staff came to clear them rightbaway once notified) and gecko that made a visit to our room on our last night. But have we understand this is sometimes the price to pay to be in the middle of nature :)

Hôtel à taille humaine. Nous avons beaucoup aimé la piscine et la vue sur les rizières. Le personnel était très gentil et toujours souriant. La chambre était spacieuse et propre. Bon petit déjeuner (sauf les jus de fruits sans goût).

C’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas d’options de lait végétal le matin pour le café. Le restaurant le soir nous a aussi un peu déçus : les plats étaient vraiment fades, alors que nous avions pris des plats indonésiens. Concernant le massage, il n’était pas au niveau de ce qu’on peut généralement trouver à Bali, malgré des prix plus élevés que la moyenne.

Lovely view from the hotel's pool, peaceful ambiance with green and lush garden, amazing breakfast with lots of options, very friendly stuff. We enjoyed so much the pool after a hot long day in Ubud. The hotel is very close to one of the most beautiful walking path in the rice fields.

We were disappointed by the dinner in Mathis Retreat Restaurant, very pricey for the quality of the dish they provide and very small portions, the main course it has the size of a starter, maybe even smaller. For dinner time, the service is very slow and sometimes not very professional: we asked for french fries in 2 different occasions and every time they said they finished, even people around us they were served. Another down point, and shocking for us, they provided used slippers in the room....this is not what you expect from a high ratted hotel.

This place is a little hidden paradise absolutely loved our stay 10/10

Nice property , exactly the same as the pictures. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the staff is professional, nice and friendly. The location is quite good as welll especially when tou drive a scooter or a car, you are not in the traffic in this area

There is no soundproofing between the rooms or with the hallway. I was woken up several times in the middle of the night by the noise of the neighbors' doors. You could even hear them turning on the air conditioning or taking a shower. On the other hand, the shower in the bathroom is very poorly designed. I didn't even wash my hair to avoid turning the bathroom into a swimming pool.

She mediated between the renal company, helped me to get to a garage and solved everything perfectly. So grateful!!! Everything, it was the perfect at Mathis, beautiful views and calm place to land back in Bali. So quite to sleep as well. I loved it so much I kept extending.

Magnifiques bungalows. Nous avons séjourné 6 nuits pour notre retraite et le lieu est absolument enivrant. La cuisine est excellente, les petits déjeuners aussi. Un lieu pour yoga (avec une super prof!) et méditation entouré des rizières au sein même de l'hôtel et une piscine magnifique aussi. Tout est présent pour un bon séjour. Le personnel est bienveillant et à notre écoute. A quelques minutes du centre mais l'hôtel propose des navettes et nous nous servions de Grab pour faire venir des scooters (et leurs chauffeurs) pour nous déposer en centre ville et l'expérience était encore meilleure ! Donc cela n'a en aucun cas gêné notre séjour, bien au contraire, nous avons eu le calme recherché et la liberté de partir en scoot en 2 petits clics. Donc je recommande +++++

Really excellent experience throughout. The wonderful staff, food, location, views, quiet (!!), generous rooms at Mathis deserve 10/10. This will be my favourite Ubud spot going forward.

De locatie, de lieve mensen, hoe schoon alles was, hoe attent en alert het personeel was.

Personeel in het restaurant is erg vriendelijk, ontbijt was wel ok. Mooi uitzicht over de rijstvelden. Prettig zwembad.

Als je iets wilde hebben, bijvoorbeeld water dan moest je er wel drie keer om vragen en dan moest je het alsnog zelf bij de receptie ophalen. Ik had het idee dat de heren bij de receptie hun telefoon belangrijker vonden dan de gasten. Schoonmaak en schone handdoeken moet je ook naar vragen, gaat niet automatisch. Ziet er leuk uit, maar heeft allemaal wel een opknapbeurt nodig.

Läget, kändes som det låg off vid risfält, men var bara 15 min med taxi in till centrala Ubud. Jättefina rum, härlig pool med utsikt över risfält.

Frukosten var jättegod, men man fick bara välja en rätt från menyn så det var lite lite

Super genuinely friendly and helpful, professional staff. Amazing quiet location, absolutely lived up to the website details. A real bonus was the easy walks through or next to rice paddies. On the shortcut walk to the Neka Art Museum, we got a glimpse of Mt Agung. Special!

It has a great location and is relaxing and peaceful. The staff is very kind and helpful- they really make you feel welcome, and help the best they can. Shuttle service works great - could offer a home time from city around 19:00/20:00 would be great.

Web pictures and reality for the rooms does not match up. They need much better cleaning, bedding, lamp, fridge! The rooms could use a more modern look; lights, curtains, mirrors - small things but effective. Kitchen staff needs to work on their speed… took forever to get food - 2 boiled egg with toast - 25 min. or 1 club sandwich 45 min.

We absolutely loved every moment of our stay! The view was breathtaking, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful. Dinner was absolutely delicious — truly one of the highlights of our visit. Even though we had to check out at 4:30 a.m., the staff went above and beyond by helping us with our luggage and preparing a beautiful takeaway breakfast box for us. Such thoughtful service made our experience even more special.
