The cleanliness of the room is subpar. There are nut pieces (from kuih) in my room and in the bathroom, left from the previous tenants. There are also unknown stain (lipstick or cream) on the mirror when I checked into the room. The cups in the room have lipstick (red) stain on them.

Without a doubt, the best hotel my family has ever stayed at. We booked the Princess Villa with private pool for 3 nights (~RM4,000/night), assuming this was mainly a couples' retreat. Instead we found a place so complete it works flawlessly for families too. We never once left the property or explored Langkawi - we didn't need to. It's a small, boutique hotel with an intimate feel a big resort can't match. The villa is spacious with a real full-sized pool (not a plunge pool), panoramic views on every side, and its own private massage area. Amenities are Jo Malone, with TWG tea. Includes daily laundry, an 11am snack, and afternoon lunch, all included. They provided prayer times and a mat without asking - as a Muslim family, this genuinely moved us. At RM4,000/night, compared to our original choice, Four Seasons, we paid roughly a quarter of the price for service that has no equal. It's a forest villa that also gives private beach access: both worlds in one stay. The welcome massage was wonderful, and the 1-hour massage we booked was top-tier. The pool is one of the finest I've swum in. Sections for adults, kids, a plunge pool, and a jet pool. Water so clear I swam my longest single breath ever, without goggles, no stinging eyes. Food was outstanding - great buffet variety, excellent in-villa dining, and an Italian restaurant with pizza and pasta rivaling any proper Italian kitchen, at fair prices. Kids loved the 24-hour fish feeding, junior club, and game room with billiards and PlayStation. Also a cozy library with kids' and business books. We stayed 4 days and it wasn't enough never got to the beach properly. A lovely touch: they list monkeys as "Danna friends" and prepare monkey plush toys for kids, turning a worry into something warm. We will absolutely return. The manager personally said goodbye at checkout - the perfect finish to genuine hospitality. Book The Danna, longer than you think you need.

Honestly, nothing. Whatever you ask for, they find a way to provide it. They simply won't let you leave with anything to dislike.

L'acceuil, la beauté de l'hotel même, les equipements, l'emplacement et l'acces privé a la plage, tout est de carte postale. Mais le sommun est la gentillesse et l'efficacité du staff. Tout le monde se plie en 4 pour que vous vous y sentiez chez vous. Tres agréable et merci à tout le staff qui est vraiment la perle du lieu...

Exceptional service, great location and hospitality. great pool and a grand view of everything. We were upgraded, and we thoroughly loved every moment in Dana. Perfect for kids, my son enjoyed the pool a lot.

We had a wonderful stay at The Danna Langkawi. The resort is beautiful, but what truly sets it apart is the outstanding hospitality. They are incredibly accommodating, especially for families traveling with young children. The staff are exceptionally friendly, warm, and approachable. Dining with a toddler can be challenging, but the team made it seamless. During the à la carte breakfast, they happily prepared plain dishes without any added sugar or sauces specifically for our child. The Danna Jr. Club is fantastic. Even though our daughter is only one year old, there were plenty of suitable activities for her. The staff went above and beyond by unlocking the club earlier than usual just so we could enjoy some supervised playtime with her. A huge, special shout-out to the Resort Manager, Mr. Fuad! Thank you for being so incredibly welcoming, friendly, and ensuring our stay was perfect. We highly recommend this resort to anyone traveling with little ones!

If there is one minor area for improvement, it would be the attention to detail during room servicing. We requested a room clean on our 3rd day. However, the low tissue box and low soap bottles were not topped up. By that night, the tissue was empty, and our hand soap ran out completely on the 4th day. We felt that housekeeping should proactively check and refill these essentials during a clean, rather than requiring guests to call and hassle for refills.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the entire team and the resort manager for the truly exceptional hospitality. This trip was very special to my wife and me, as we were celebrating our second wedding anniversary. The resort manager made it even more memorable by surprising us with an upgrade to a beautiful private villa overlooking the sea for only a very small additional charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our anniversary even more special. The entire experience was wonderful from beginning to end. What stood out the most was the kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality of everyone at the resort. I would rather not mention specific names because I honestly wouldn’t want to thank one person and accidentally leave someone else out — every member of the team contributed to making our stay special. God willing, this will definitely not be our last visit. I would happily return to this resort in particular, mainly because of the wonderful way we were treated. Thank you again for making our second anniversary such a memorable one. ❤️

Superbe hôtel, avec une chambre spacieuse et joliment décorée, une très grande piscine ainsi qu’une plage privée située à proximité. Les restaurants de l’hôtel sont également de qualité, et le petit-déjeuner, varié et délicieux, a largement contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. Le personnel est d’un grand professionnalisme : accueillant, chaleureux et toujours aux petits soins. Nous avons adoré notre séjour, que nous avons passé en famille avec notre petite fille. Tout était réuni pour profiter pleinement de ce moment. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour son accueil et son attention !

Ajouter peut être un peu plus de jeux de société dans le kids club, et planifier plus de sessions yoga.

It is a beautiful property on a lovely beach. The grounds are well maintained and staff always so warm and friendly. The gym is well appointed and the villas are fabulous. Food is great at the Italian restaurant.

Activities are very limited especially for kids (9 and 11). Drinks service is rather slow

Upgraded to the Empress villa which had lots of perks, is a beautiful home, but alas came with unexpected issues for the level of comfort provided: -low pressure in one shower and too much in the other with scalding hot water -housekeeping did not check in daily for soiled clothes (which was one of the perks) in room dining tea service came with no milk and required frequent reminders to on site kitchen staff to deliver albeit late

The beds were extremely comfortable. The shower was nice and strong, and the Jo Malone toiletries were a great touch. The breakfast spread was really good, as was the quality of food in the hotel in general.

There was no access to the beach for wheelchairs.

The staff are great. Swimming pool is so much bigger than any of the 5 stars hotel and very clean. Food was great too. The resident singers were very good at reading the crowd! Great singers! Not forgetting the spa.

This genuine 5-star hotel is a true gem in Langkawi. Having travelled to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi during our holiday, the Danna provided us with amazing, personalised service in a beautiful Raffles-style architecture and setting. The highlight was how kind, caring and attentive the staff were for our 10-month-old baby. He enjoyed himself thoroughly. The pool is wonderful, the beach is great, the ambience is chilled and the food is excellent. Thanks to all the team, especially to Jot at the Planters restaurant and Hakimi at the Italian restaurant for the incredible service. Whilst we are providing outstanding feedback from a family holiday perspective, this is also a wonderful, private getaway for couples wanting a peaceful, relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. Well done to all and thanks for a great time!!

It's quite quiet around June time so worth mentioning for those that want to visit a hotel that has more buzz / activities. It was perfect for us though

I loved everything

Everything was great. We arranged hotel transport to and from the airport which was worth it and we were greeted to a short neck massage on arrival at the hotel. The hotel was lovely, the facilities were great and the restaurants were to a high standard. All the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much effort. Would stay again.

The overriding memory we have of the Danna is how friendly and helpful the staff are with so many warm smiles. We go to Thailand a lot “the land of smiles” and the Danna staff are up there with the best of them.

We like to swim in the sea but when we were there the seawater was not crystal clear and at low tide the sand ended and it was muddy underfoot. Also there are no complimentary toys ( water sports equipment ) available as they are provided by a third party for a fee

The Danna Langkawi ist ein Traum: wunderschön gelegen an einem sauberen Privatstand ( wenn man etwas läuft, sieht man, dass das nicht selbstverständlich ist). Riesiger Pool - sehr angenehme Temperatur. Personal sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Essen war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet: riesiges Frühstücksbuffet und ein tolles Nyonya-Restaurant. Unser Zimmer war riesengross mit Meerblick. Es gibt viele Vögel - richtig toll.

Чистый комфортный пляж, красивый infinity pool., уютный садик внутри отеля. Номер у нас был с видом на море, картинка из номера была потрясающая. Персонал отеля дружелюбный и отзывчивый. Мужа укусила медуза, все очень переживали, звонили, принесли комплимент. Завтрак разнообразный и вкусный. Вообще питание на территории отели было вкусное. Цены не свосем кусачие.

Для нас это не было минусом, но если кто-то хочет куда выбираться, до отель находится в уеденной бухте и довольно изолированю. За территорией отеля порт, когда там были рестораны, но сейчас все закрыто. Также бы минусом назвала, что когда море уходит, дно покрыто водорослями и это довольно не приятное ощущение.

The staff were all very kind and as helpful as they could be.

For me, this felt overrated as an SLH experience. The hotel itself looks grand, and immense in scale, but the dining experiences felt impersonal and ultimately disappointing. The staff were genuinely kind and attentive, though at times overly so, with frequent interruptions during meals. If you’re looking for a beautiful setting to enjoy the pool and cocktails, this is a great choice. But if you’re seeking a more intimate, unique, and charming luxury experience, this is not the place.

The staff were amazing and literally couldn’t have done anymore to take care of us. The pool area was beautiful and there were plenty of sun beds. A wide selection of food across all three restaurants. We have been lucky enough to have travelled extensively and the Danna was one of our favourites.

The staff are just fantastic. They are friendly and accommodating. The food is fresh and with 3 restaurants on site, you get so many choices of amazing quality dishes. We loved the Lamb Kapitan, a traditional dish, and the Terrace restaurant serves up some of the best Italian we have eaten since being in Italy. We were provided the opportunity to upgrade to a private villa. Although it was an additional cost, the villa was amazing and well worth the money. Massive, comfortable, very well appointed, the bathroom is huge and the pool is amazing, big and just perfect. We are so glad to have found The Danna and will return.

Shower floor was sticky and shower walls mouldy. Sinks would not drain properly, neither would shower. The hard floors needed a good wash. The hotel looked tited in places in my opinion. Limited storage space in room. It was not at the rating showing in booking.

No air purifiers as the air quality gets really bad ok some days. Also, the AC seems to not filter the air at all. Also, the bed reading light could be improved alot as it’s too strong. A sofa instead of the two chairs would be more comfortable.

We choose this resort as our anniversary trip this year. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Our daughter was well treated and she was very happy. The in room treats provided (Jr VIP package) was really delicious. We had breakfast, dinner at the Planters and quick lunch at the terrace. We did enjoy every meal served. The landscape, beach and pool are clean and beautiful. It was a great holiday for three of us. Definitely will comeback again here😁 Tq for the hospitality.

From welcome to departure, every moment at Danna Langkawi is unforgettable. When I stepped into Danna Langkawi, I was greeted by smiling and friendly staff, invigorating tea and a relaxing massage, and a beautiful tour of the hotel. The breakfast is exceptional in every way: the choice of dishes is incredible, the staff tries to fulfill even the smallest request, and the pianist spiced up every breakfast with the most beautiful piano melodies. Danna Langkawi cannot be described in a few words. Located in a quiet corner of Langkawi Island, when you first see the outline of Hotel Danna, you already have the feeling that something special is waiting for you. A gong announces the arrival of each new guest. The welcome means you will be treated like a Queen/King. The rooms are luxurious (I visited them all) and designed so that you can enjoy them 24 hours a day. The rooms are cleaned at least 2 times a day, but if you need additional cleaning, you can request it at any time of the day. In the room, you will find an espresso machine with different types of coffee, a large selection of teas, snacks, juices, beer... The bathroom was created for relaxation and enjoyment with Jo Malone cosmetics. From the terraces there are wonderful views of the sea or the marina. Discover the charms of the SPA center, the Churchill room, the library, the swimming pool...wherever you step, exceptionality will await you. I have been traveling for over 45 years and for the first time I want to express my gratitude and respect to the entire staff of the Danna Hotel: dear Danna team, be proud of all your hard work, knowledge and kindness - you have raised luxury to a special and unique level. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The size of the Hotel is very advantageous sine you can reach all restaurants and facilitators easily The Hotel is relatively close to the airport but you could not hear any noise.

Room was a suite so very expansive, Bathroom, Dressing room, Bedrom and living room all excellent
