Cosy environment, good restaurant food and nice breakfast. Good size room and en-suite . Quiet location and able to have window open all night.
No parking , on this occasion we were lucky and able to find a space on a nearby street but that wouldn’t always be the case.
All just fabulous
They has kept us a table for dinner without asking which was very nice of them.
The history and culture
The shower didn’t work sadly.
Omg what a fantastic little gem in the cotswolds! No wonder this place is in high demand. Scott, Jackie and the lovely young waitress (I’m sorry I’ve forgotten her name) are just absolutely lovely! The dinner is fantastic, the rooms are a beautiful mix of heritage with modern comforts. After 2 months of some questionable value in our stays across Europe, It was very refreshing to stay somewhere that was genuinely fantastic value for money. Truly. A little gem!
Nothing. Fantastic stay.
Lovely rooms, super friendly staff, excellent location!
Quaint little town. Adorable three-rooms Inn. Rooms are well decorated and bed is very comfortable. Bathroom fixtures are modern. We occupied two rooms, both are tastefully decorated. Fortunately the weather was pleasant when we stayed as there is no air conditioning. The restaurant served good quality breakfast and dinner. The dining area is packed during dinner hour. There is a beautiful backyard patio. We love the walk around town, very peaceful and quaint. The manager and front desk/dining staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Only drawback is you have to look for parking around town. Fortunately are able to temporarily off load our luggages in-front of the Inn and look for parking.
Great location

Great staff, excellent food, good location and lovely old world ambience.
Early morning outside noise (dustmen)
Food was amazing, staff were very friendly and helpful
nothing all good
Staff were amazing
Parking can be a pain
Loved the character of the property, the great location, the friendly staff and the excellent food — it all made for a really lovely stay. Overall, a really enjoyable stay and somewhere we’d definitely come back to. Would highly recommend.

The area was lovely nice and quiet and very friendly
Trying to park the car and breakfast wasn't in with the price which I knew but it was expensive to add on
Easy check-in and friendly staff, in addition to clean rooms and a central location
Great location & beautiful room

Fantastic stay - everyone and everything was wonderful. Such a comfy room, bed, great location and a great pub as well!
The staff were very friendly, the location to the main high street was literally 30 second walk
Friendly staff, great location lovely local pub feel
Beautiful and charming.
Staff were nice food was ok small portions very quirky
The room was on the road it was really warm so had windows open for been a back road late at night was like a racing track and got woke at 6.30 by bin men and bottles been emptied really noisy not much sleep
Fantastic staff Food incredible!!
Very clean, friendly helpful staff offering to carry our luggage, ideal location for exploring village centre.
No coffee in room only tea.
Room was excellent.It was clean,spacious and very comfortable.Breafast was very good,well presented,reasonable variety .
Nothing..as what was described was accurate.
Staff was excellent. The rooms were very clean and the shower had good water pressure. It is a tub, a shower so caution if you’re older, get a little help to get into the tub. We found parking without a problem and the dinner was good. the backyard is something you should not miss and sit out there for a while. It’s very pleasant.
Central to everything and beautiful place.
Nothing
Excellent value and very close to main high street
Beautiful cosy bedroom Really friendly staff Great food
Clean and comfortable
No blind on the bathroom window The room was very warm, we found a fan but not until the next morning. It would have been nice if we had been told about it on arrival.
Todo en general. Habitación y edificio típico pub precioso. La comida estaba súper rica.
Lovely staff Excellent location Wonderful food
Continental breakfast very good. Nice location by town and river. Evening meal with friends good but a bit pricey.
Parking down the road but free so ok
Lovely feeling, staff very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and service excellent.
Nothing
Central location in pretty Cotswold town. Excellent staff. Supper was good. We didn't have breakfast.
The bed really needed a new mattress! Also, be aware that delivery trucks start arriving before 7am, so no lie-in
Great location
El alojamiento es muy cómodo, agradable y estiloso. La comida muy buena y el personal maravilloso. Estamos encantados con nuestra estancia allí
Location, staff, old world charm.
Nothing.
Family run and everyone was friendly and attentive.
Stairs were a bit of a challenge with a large suitcase but possibly not for a younger person. Although I didn't dislike it, I would have appreciated a cooked breakfast to be included in the room price.
Very welcoming staff Great shower
Felt the breakfast could have been a little more substantial as only offered cold cereal, yogurt, toast, tea and coffee The delivery trucks arrived approx 5am and were quite noisy as they stopped and unloaded right below our room
We had a great eveing meal and the continental breakfast was nice. The woman who served up breakfast was lovely and very helpful.
The male bar manager was a bit aloof. He could try to be a bit more friendly and welcoming. But all staff including him did a great job.
Lovely room Very friendly helpful staff
Our fault but recomend you Pay night before in case you want to leave earlier than 8.30am
A lovely, old and cosy Inn with a lot of atmosphere. Great location in heart of Burford with plenty of parking availability, albeit not directly outside the pub. Continental breakfast included, which was basic but perfectly adequate. Plus you had choice of cooked breakfast but had to pay. We dined in the pub on our second night and the food was excellent. All the staff were warm and welcoming.
We had the twin bedroom and found the mattresses uncomfortable. Personally think they have seen better days.
Really lovely old but in great condition .
Stairs were a bit steep but nothing you can do about that !
Very clean, great location for High Street. Accommodating and friendly staff
Slightly inconvenient as there is only street parking and public car park that is max 4 hour stay.
We loved our stay at the Angel. All the food was excellent and the staff was so friendly. We would highly recommend it for your Cotswold stay!
Lokatie, midden in het stadje. Vriendelijk personeel!! Mooie kamer, prima badkamer Heerlijk sfeervolle pub, met goed eten
Geluid van de straat, maar dat komt ook omdat we graag het raam open hebben.
Beautiful spot to stay
Difficult parking nearby
lovely place to stay - friendly/helpful staff and great location! will definitely return...... thank you
Bed Rooms were lovely nice country cotswolds fitted decor
As above the pub and old building you could hear the music from pub and in the pub itself it wasn't very comfy/cosy hard wooden chairs and staff were nice but we stopped on a sunday and they shut up early i think they had a bad day /awkward customer in and they definitely wanted to go home by 8:30 pm not sure what time pubs shut on sundays these days it used to be 10 pm
The staff were amazing.the food was great fresh and had plenty of flavour. Room was very comfortable
Very friendly staff, great food, lovely comfortable accommodation.
A hotel just off the main road. Really friendly staff. The room was large and comfortable. Sunday roast was really good. We would definately stay again.
Nothing springs to mind9
Friendly staff, great food and ideal location.
Dinner was excellent. Very limited continental breakfast included in B&B rate but good additional options available. Staff exceptionally pleasant
No one’s fault that property does not have parking & parking is an issue in Burford. Again staff are very helpful and advise. We were lucky to find a space & weather was ok but inconvenient if you have luggage
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was large, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, the food was excellent, and the pub itself couldn’t be a better example of what you expect an old English pub to be.
Absolutely nothing to dislike
Great character - great location - friendly staff and great food
Although no onsite parking, we were fortunate enough to get a space just outside the pub. There is a free car park within a 2-3 minute walk. The property is traditional & pleasant.
It’s a little quirky & quite unique.
Great location in center of town!!
Noisy as the pub was below. Quieted by 10pm

Clean, great food very friendly staff
The location was great, Molly was so helpful, welcoming & kind. We had an excellent dinner at the restaurant.
They weren’t able to make cocktails, beer & wine only, but we went for an excellent old fashioned at the Bull just around the corner.
Food in restaurant was really good and a beautiful small town
A bit pricey considering Room facilities are basic but given the age of the building probably to be expected. Shower is just an attachment to bath taps, beds are not really comfy, drafty windows very poor lighting. Guests felt a little in the way when restaurant was busy , felt couldn’t really just sit and have drink
Charming and great location.
Nothing
Location was good !
So over priced £145 no breakfast /parking included. Booked a deluxe room ! No kettle just coffee machine ! No wardrobe ! No dressing table! Sockets no where near the mirror had to keep unplugging lamps to charge phones ! Would have liked a deluxe room that’s on the web site!
Great food, lovely staff, comfortable and spacious room for being a quaint pub
Absolutely nothing, it was brilliant
Great location. Amazing food and lovely staff.
All perfect.
There was no heating although staff did when queried provide an electric heater which was good. There was no hot water for a wash in morning . Also waiting til 8.20 to pay as no one was in . Didn't stay for breakfast 17 pound something for breakfast plus 12% service charge seemed ridiculous. Staff were lovely and great location .Everything was clean.
The Angel is a lovely building and well located in the village of Burford. As it’s down a side street, there was plenty of parking outside.
We had a 2-night stay and we were disappointed that our room wasn’t cleaned after the first night, and the bed hadn’t even been made! My husband always leaves a tip for the housekeeper which just added insult to injury! There was also no heating on our second night so our room got very cold although there was a small fan heater in the room which helped. The continental breakfast that was included in the price was quite sparse, my husband ordered the omelette but it was overcooked. We had dinner in the pub on the second night and it was disappointing; I think there was an issue with every course, even the cafetière leaked. There really isn’t anywhere to sit after dinner, we felt we had to move so they can could clear up. We were referred to the landing outside the bedrooms but it’s dark and dingy so we just went back to our room. The staff are very friendly but there were too many issues for us to consider staying again.
Close to main high street - staff were friendly and very helpful
Nothing it was just perfect
Great atmosphere, clean, perfect location, excellent food and staff.
Very friendly staff, went above and beyond

We loved the experience at the Angel. The confort Food, the staff and the location were excellente. We will be Back for sure!
The pub was very welcoming, warm and cosy
The location, such a quaint pub.
Nothing
Really comfortable
The cooked breakfast was extra on top of the B&B price which seemed expensive
Perfect location for the High Street in Burford. Quaint little pub with cosy rooms.

A traditional pub with a welcoming atmosphere.
The room was quite basic and tired. The bed mattress felt poor quality as were the pillows. Noise from the bar below due to the age of the property.
Comfortable, spotlessly clean and welcoming pub with rooms. Breakfast served in the pub by the beautiful log fire was excellent. The manager and staff made us feel very welcome and had time to chat with us! We will definitely be back.
No on site parking but this was not really an issue..
