Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam West

La propreté et la qualité du lit étaient au top Un petit déjeuner de qualité

We loved our stay with Rhalf. He always went above and beyond our expectation's. He is the perfect host. When we arrived he was very welcoming and gave us plenty of valuable knowledge about Amsterdam. His advice was instrumental on us travelling through the city and making the most of our stay. He could not do enough for us. The apartment had everything we needed. It was spacious for the three of us, and impeccably clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of sociable space to relax before we left for the day. The breakfast that Rhalf made had more selection than we could manage. It definitely filled us up for the day. There is transport links nearby, which can get you everywhere in the city. Also, there are restaurants, bars and a supermarket within 5 minutes stroll. We would definitely stay with Rhalf again if we return to Amsterdam.

I do not think there was anything that we did not like about the property.

One of the most dedicated hosts I have been with

odlicna lokacija i pred se odlicen domakin koj e super prijatelski raspolozen, preporacuvam na sekoj koj bi sakal da go poseti Amsterdam.

Very kind and helpful host – always ready to assist and gave us great recommendations for places to visit. Excellent breakfast with a wide selection. We also really appreciated the offer of an early morning ride to the airport. We definitely recommend this accommodation!

Great place to stay. Spacious suite, spotlessly clean. Very nice terrace. Just a minute from the tram stop. Wonderful breakfast. Very highly recommended.

Nothing.

Amazing place and amazing hosts. Very supportive nice and helpful people. Just an amazing experience. Thank you for wonderful time we spent there and thank you fir an outstanding service.

Everything was awesome, the owner was great and very helpful. Breakfast was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, just great

Lots of space, in addition to the room there is a living room making it a nice place to just chill if needed, and the cherry on the cake is the sauna! The couple who run it bend over backwards to help, and the breakfasts are amazing. It is also well situated as it is close to public transport.

Nothing, absolutely nothing !

The owner is absolutely gorgeous to help the travelers as us. He explained all detail of Amsterdam on the map so that we save time not to go into the tourist trap.

The b&b scenic environment and indoor decoration with the record of his father of Olympic cyclist participation in 1952, very fanatics.

The location at a small canal and directly next to Tram 13 was very nice. Rhalf was there to welcome us and share a lot of knowledge about the city. If you rent a bike at one of the close rentals you can bike through Rembrandtpark and Vondelpark to the city center. The breakfast was prepared in a very cute way and more than enough to survive the day. The B&B ist forseen with everything that you could possibly need. It was so well thought through that things you could wish for were already there. Groetjes to the cat at the terras :)

It was evident that the hosts were attentive, helpful and very informative as soon as we arrived. The room was immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable.Breakfast exceeded expectations.

Ralph and Kitty were so sociable and accommodating. Rhalph made a way to make sure our breakfast was prepared the night before when we had an early morning travel time. He washed our clothes for us and even cooked some chicken bought from the grocery store one evening so that we didn't have to eat out that night for dinner. His B&B was very, very clean. The breakfast was a great cold one with fresh squeezed orange juice each morning. I would love to stay for a month and will make this home again if I am ever in Amsterdam again! There is a medium-sized refrigerator to store some of your own food in.

Just missing a microwave.

I recommend the accommodation to everyone who wants an authentic Amsterdam experience. The host is very friendly and gives a lot of advice on trips and everything that goes with it. Breakfast is so nicely served with home made things. Everything about the accommodation is excellent. The location is close to the city center. Matero station and tram is 3 min by walk.

Everything was perfect

Good proximity to tram. Outstanding breakfast.

Spacious and decorated with cool antiques as well as bicycles on the wall. The unit faced a canal where you could see small boats and ducks. Rhalf was very informative and gave us an overview of Amsterdam. He asked about what we wanted to see/do and circled the areas on a map he gave us. The best part was the wonderful breakfast…bread, toast, jelly, homemade chutney, cheese, salami, sprinkles for the toast, orange juice and much much more. We highly recommend this place!

We liked everything!

Everything, it was absolutely lovely, it had everything we needed and more, and of course the view and the attention to details was outstanding, it was a wonderful experience. Ralph was so helpful and kind, one of the best accommodations I’ve stayed at.

Nothing

Ralf our host was very friendly and welcome. He had a wealth of knowledge about the city and gave us excellent recommendations and advice on things to see/do/avoid. The breakfasts were amazing and very generous!

Very pleasant owner, provided all the necessary information, the accommodation is pleasant, the beds are comfortable. There is a sauna and a small garden. The breakfasts were excellent. Definitely recommend.

Very clean, wondefull host, nicely decorating with hosts hand made bikes on walls 😀. Wondefull brekfst. Location near tram and metro. Little garden on the coast of kanal. Recommended for all.

nothing, everything was fine

The amenities and the service provided by Rhalf, exceptional!

Minor detail, you can listen the steps on the upper floor

The host was lovely and we had a very comfortable stay. The B&B was clean and felt homely, with consideration for everything we may have needed. Breakfast was delicious and incredibly varied, and would satisfy everyone’s tastes. The location was great with good transport links (tram and metro).

Lack of privacy between rooms; there was only a sheer curtain between the bedroom and shower. I also sustained a second-degree burn from the kettle, which malfunctioned as I was pouring tea - this is less a fault of the B&B and more something to consider.

This is not a simple B&B like many others, you can immediately feel at home. Everything is perfect, there is everything you need and the view is wonderful. You will never feel alone because there are many friends: fish, ducks and cats outside but above all there are Ralph and his wife who are the heart of the house. Ralph is a wonderful and welcoming person, an excellent cook and a professional coffee maker. We spent some good breakfasts in his company. The room was perfectly clean and the breakfast was varied and delicious. Upon our arrival Ralph gave us a lot of useful information about the Amsterdam city. The location of the house is excellent for getting around with trams and metro just a few minutes walk away. We hope to return to this city soon and meet Ralph again with his ability to host. Usually we forget the B&B but in this case we won't forget this experience and the kindness of the people we met.

Nulla

The owners are friendly and the property is close to public transportation. We would definitely stay there again

Super comfortable bed, lovely bedding and pillows. Lots of quirky little extras, including a sauna! Rhalf and Kitty were so welcoming from the moment we arrived. Wonderful breakfast with lots of Dutch treats. We will definitely be back!

Nothing, it was all perfect.

Ralph was a super host, he was very helpful and the breakfast was so good. He recommended places to visit and to eat. The place was near to the city centre by tram and metro. It was very clean and we felt very comfortable.

Although we had privacy, I would have liked to have a key to separate the apartment we were using to the common area.

The room and the friendly owners

The footsteps from above were quite loud.

The host were very welcoming, helpful and informative about the area. Convenient access to trams and trains allowed us to easily visit the sites we wanted to see.The sitting area, bedroom were comfortable. Breakfast was a plentiful choice of cold meats, yogurt, eggs, cereals and breads. A bowl of fresh fruit was in our sitting room everyday.

Great host, made us very welcome. Very helpful and gave us lots of tips for our stay in Amsterdam. Excellent breakfast, highly recommend to anyone wanting accommodation in Amsterdam

PRIVACY AND COMMUNICATION

It is very close to public transport and thus the city centre, yet in a quiet area. The bed is super comfortable, everything is just percect, the amenities the decoration, the separated toilet, the living room area. Loved it! The breakfast is just incredible but the best is the owners! Extremely helpful, kind, interesting people.

Super clean, very nice people.

The only criticism is that the lighting is very poor in the bathroom and the fact that the toilet and shower were in separate areas were a bit bothersome for me. Other than this, facilities were super clean and comfortable.

Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and plenty of food. Enjoyed talking with the host about life in Netherlands and he gave us plenty of tips on where to eat and what to see and how to get around Amsterdam.

— We had a wonderful experience at the B&B Amsterdam West. We were delighted with the excellent services offered by the owners and the comfort of our room. Rhalf and Kitty were always available to us and provided useful information about the best places to visit and how to get there . The room and the bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated and the terrace is a great plus because it's right on the river. . The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and high-quality products . The location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam, being close to the most popular tourist attractions as well as public transportation. We had a wonderful vacation and we will surely be back .

We loved our stay with these hosts and their two cats. The appartment was very nice and stylish, everything was superbly clean and the proximity of the canal was very unusual (at least for us) - in a good way 🙂 The breakfast upstairs and a nice chat with the hosts was a perfect start to every day. The place is conveniently located just a 2min walk from tram 13 which goes directly to the city centre, but also not very far from the airport. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Amsterdam!

We liked everything! If I had to find a flaw it would be a lack of storage space (no wardrobe or a chest of drawers) - no problem for our 3 day stay but it may be for someone who stays for a week..

Pretty room, excellent breakfast, great position! All was perfect, we'll come back!

We had an amazing stay with great breakfasts and very welcoming and helpful hosts!

kindness and politeness. the room was very clean and nice and the breakfast amazing

Ralph is very kind and thoughtful. His guidance and chats with him during breakfast added a personal touch to our trip. The place is immaculate and Ralph without even asking us, cleaned up our rooms for us. I feel embarrassed for not keeping the room tidy during our stay because we were always in hurry. The location is very accessible. Tram station is a few minutes walk from the place. The breakfast was delicious. He gave instructions on what places to visit on the map for best experience. I highly recommend this place if you are in Amsterdam.

Not a serious issue but would be nice if there were a ventilation system in the toilet downstairs.

Very clean and comfortable. Ralph is a kind and very helpful hostess. The location is also very good, 2’ minutes walking to tram 13. The breakfast was delicious and enough to start your day !

Very nice accommodation, but especially great hosts! Thanks to their recommendations we got to know many interesting places in Amsterdam, avoided those crowded with tourists, enjoyed the local atmosphere. We really appreciated the breakfasts together, where we talked about everyday life in Holland, its history and attractions. Thank you, Rhalf en Kitty!

location and absolutely amazing atmosphere that was created by owners

Great view outside, great location (about 45 minutes of walk to the town centre), very tasty breakfast and all these things for a reasonable price. High recommendation for anyone who want to visit Amsterdam. And the best thing - the host. Very kind and helpful. We've got a lot of interesting information about the city and places which are worth visiting but which are not that known and popular. Just awesome!

The only thing that could be improved is room temperature. It was a bit too cold. We had additional electric heaters, however theirs efficiency wasn't enough. But hot shower + sauna could replace that :) It wasn't a big issue for us - this is the only thing I can see that can be improved. Probably in more warmer season there are no issues at all

We had a wonderful experience at the B&B Amsterdam West. We were delighted with the excellent services offered by the owners and the comfort of our room. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm smile and felt a special attention to our needs. Rhalf and Kitty were always available to us and provided useful information about the best places to visit and how to get there . The room and the bathroom were very clean and tastefully decorated and the terrace is a great plus because it's right on the river. We truly felt at home. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and high-quality products . The location is ideal for exploring Amsterdam, being close to the most popular tourist attractions as well as public transportation. We had a wonderful vacation and have nothing to complain about the B&B. We highly recommend this B&B and we will surely be back .

Very nice couple. We have to thank you Rhalf for everything, for your kindness and being so helpful by explaining us best way to travel trought the city. Thanks for telling us about the Dutch's culture and history and for the delicious vegan breakfast. This was our honeymoon and we had a very nice experience.

Very nice and friendly hosts. Homely atmosphere. Quiet neighborhood, very interesting location on the canal. Very convenient communication.

Very nice venue in a good location near the metro station, easy to find and well connected to the public transport. Rooms with a personal touch, a small terrace directly on the riverbank and a sauna which was great after a long trip on a cold and rainy day. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. Kitty and Ralph, the owners of the venue, are very friendly and helpful and prepared a delicious breakfast.

The room at B&B Amsterdam West was excellent in every way. The location was a short walk from a metro and tram stop for easy access to downtown. The B&B had free parking outside the building. The room included a living/dining room, bedroom, bathroom and small kitchenette area. It was downstairs from the main living area, with a view of and access to a canal. The room was serviced every day when we visited. Breakfast was lovely, with far too much good food available. The hosts were very kind and helpful with Rolph sitting down with us to go over the city and logistics for getting downtown. Would love to return.

Would have loved a microwave in the room, but not expected and very few of the places we stayed in Europe had them.

Everything was excellent! The hosts are very nice person, the room is clean and well equipped, 2mins walk from the tram and metro station, nice view and excellent breakfast! Ah, and the bed was super comfy . Nothing could be better.
