Courtesy Court Motel

The owner is very hospitable he walked us to our room and showed us the facilities. I love that I can book a place with a separate bedroom as my partner wakes up much earlier than me. Great location close to city and free parking.

The first time I stayed, I was in a one-bedroom apartment in a separate block away from other guests. As the block was empty, it was much quieter and more peaceful. This time, we booked a two-bedroom apartment because our daughter was travelling with us. We were allocated a ground-floor unit, and unfortunately there was quite a lot of noise from guests in the apartment above us - even though they were not noisy, its just the walking and showing above is loud. There was also an exterior light directly outside my bedroom window. I was unable to find a way to turn it off, and it illuminated the room throughout the night, making it much brighter than I would have liked. In addition, the bathroom extractor fan is linked to the bathroom light, so the fan automatically comes on whenever the light is switched on. The fan was very loud and detracted from what should have been a relaxing experience. In fact, I found myself wanting to shower in the dark just to avoid the constant noise from the fan.

Good price and location. Clean room and friendly staff.

Our room didn’t have anything for my 13 year old to sleep on despite booking it as 1 adult and 1 child. No major issue though as the bed was comfy and large.

It was close to everything and the owner was nice. The room was clean, comfortable and roomy.

There was nothing I didn't like

The easiness of getting everywhere, quite central. Bed was extremely comfortable and slept well.

Very dated, paid extra for a ground floor unit which was okay, but the facilities need revamping. Shower had rust around lower edges.

Fantastic price , clean warm & comfortable

Clean spacious and tidy, had what we needed, good parking

Poor wifi, water either boiling hot or cold

Good quiet comfortable place for a one night stay. Comfortable bed. Appreciated the 10:30 later check out.

Heat pump was difficult to turn on (as a lot of them are). Shower was hard to adjust to the right temperature

Location

The bad and the shower.

Location and cleanliness

I liked having a one bedroom apartment so that when my partner wakes up early he can make his cup of coffee in the kitchen without waking me up. It was very quiet staying here.

The shower was up as hot as it could be and it wasn't quite hot enough for my liking, however it was fine. I just love super hot!

Clean, comfortable, tidy

The kitchen was perfect except it lacked a bowl to make a salad in

Area very central

Dirty bed blankets No working fan or window in bathroom Divan bed looks as old as and uncomfortable No instructions in unit for were to meet in and emergency

Great location, nice clean warm rooms. Nice new carpet.

Carpark was tight, especially when you are in an SUV. Beds were small and a little on the firm side. The curtains didn’t fully cover the windows or slider door.

The location and easy parking. The room was spacious and clean.

No milk for the tea & coffee that they provided but was not a biggie as I brought milk for breakfasts anyway.

Really Clean

Water temp in the shower could've been hotter but was fine

Sensitive shower mixer tap, not consistent temperature.

Location ideal to be near hospital. We had stayed there some years previously. Nice comfy bed.

No large dinner plates; no dish drainer so washed dishes were draining onto the benchtop - messy; no dish cloth to was dishes, only a scrubbing brush; no drying up cloth - we had to ask for it. Bed cover was placed inside-out - labels showing! Shower drained very slowly - maybe needs a clean-out?

Location

Its not sparkling clean.

Service

Springs of mattress can be felt

Friendly staff.

Water pressure in shower wasnt fantastic

Clean, comfortable and great location. Quiet in rooms and the staff are very friendly.

N/A

Very comfortable and clean in a great location. Plenty of off street parking and the gentleman at check in was lovely

Comfortable beds and full kitchen available.

Always good 😊

Nice room, very convenient location, free parking. Quiet and felt safe.

Would have been improved if there were TV apps available but only cable. Wasn’t a huge issue as we were out a lot anyway but would it would be a nice option.

Room was clean and a good size for 4 people. Location was close to city centre and a few restaurants in the area. Shower looked brand new and provided good pressure

Some wear and tear in the room, ranch slider was a little bit dicky and kept coming off track. Extraction fan didn't work in bathroom. Was pretty happy though.

Comfortable

The lovely man at reception

The surrounding area was quiet and tidy during our stay. The bed is comfortable. The facilities are average. There was enough carparks.

The pillowcases smelled used (sweaty smell) though they looked clean, no exhaust fans in both kitchen and bathroom (there was one in the bath but it was not working). The moist and smell (when we cooked) stayed in the room. We ensured that the windows were opened during the day which was not ideal when it’s too cold these days.

The property is really clean and spacious. Probably one of my favourite stays in Christchurch. The location is really close to the city centre which is great.

Nothing.

the guy running the show was happy helpful and accommodating, what else do you need

well equiped, calm place

Place was close to city center like 10 dollar drive in Uber. Very neat and maintained well. Spacious and cosy too. We liked our stay and its value for money.

Clean, comfortable, fairly spacious rooms, very helpful owner. 10 minute walk to CBD.

Kitchen could do with a few more utensils.

location is good close to CBD, the place is nice and quet

All good

This hotel feels like a classic American-style drive motel—very basic but fine for a short rest. It’s budget-friendly, so don’t expect anything special. One night is okay, but for a longer stay it might not be the best choice.

The shower water was only lukewarm.

Comfortable and spotlessly clean

Nothing

Room and location

Proximity to centre and kindness of staff

Good value right in the city and handy to everything. Very comfortable large room with kitchen and bathroom. Easy free parking on site. Friendly host showed us to our room.

Mirror in bathroom was a little low for my husband due to sloped ceiling.

La amplitud de la habitación. Limpio.

Lovely, quiet location. Very friendly and rooms immaculate.

We had to urgently stay another night in Christchurch due to cancelled flights. This was very good value especially for a relatively central location. The owners were lovely and accommodating, letting us check in early and check out late. The room was simple but had everything you needed, including nice toiletries. It was quiet and clean. You aren't right in the centre of Christchurch but everything was still very walkable.

Nothing

Well positionned

Nothing

Easy to check in.

Weak WiFi

Great hosts, great room and amenities.

Well maintained, quiet, good parking.

Location is great, close to city center

Old and worn down, outdated property. Shower pressure is very weak and takes ages to adjust temperature, decorations like curtains broken, bed not comfortable

Great experience

The room was very clean and spacious. It was fully stocked and easily somewhere you could stay for a number of days. It had courtesy laundry. It was an easy 20 minute walk to city centre.

There was nothing to dislike.

I was able to leave two large suitcases while I toured the South Island for 3 weeks. The manager was very helpful with all our requests Everything worked well in our room There's plenty of parking on site

Having to lift our cases up a flight of stairs

Vriendelijke staf

Niks

Free laundry, a very clean room, quiet, nice and roomy. The location is okay, about 20min. walk to the city centre but not too far away from bus stop.

Comfortable bed, very clean, thankyou

Clean

Very clean. Apartment looked very new. Nice carpets and furnishings

Shower was a bit temperamental- fine when you had it on correct setting but very fine line between warm and scalding! Door to apartment rattle lots on the wind. Had to jimmy a spoon under door to stop rattling which worked well
