location perfect and so was the breakfast
it was all good
Lovely little pub, nice change from Premier Inn, great breakfast, clean and convenient for Royal Norwich Golf Club.
Staff very friendly , no issues at all . Made to feel welcome
All was good
Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was excellent and the cooked breakfast’s were amazing. The bacon and sausages were delicious.
The bed could have been a little firmer.
Nice room with good space and facilities. Bar was fine, restaurant was fine. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very good.
A bit busy when we arrived so waited a bit for drinks etc. but no real problem. A bit noisy in the bar area so glad we could sign in the restaurant.
Everything about our stay was excellent. Lovely location and facilities , good food and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. Just 10 miles from Norwich.
Nothing
Size of the room Friendly staff Atmosphere of building Great food- evening meal & breakfast 😋
Flies in dinning room!!!!
Have visited several times before and have never been disappointed.
Nothing to dislike
Breakfast was very nice, room was nice
The bed was to soft, if you moved it effected the other person. At breakfast time was about 5 flies that kept round our food.
Incredible food and service. An absolute gem of a place.
For a one night stay all staff were very friendly and the cooked breakfast was good quality
The bed was a bit soft for our liking, a slightly firmer mattress could be more middle of the road
We booked the night here at the last minute but from the time we entered the The Parson we were made to feel at home straight away by the helpful staff. Our room was lovely and clean and had tea making facilities and the toiletries supplied in the bathroom were lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both meals were delicious and good value. We will definitely stay again if we travel this way again.
Everything was good.
The Breakfast was very good, And the Bed was very comfy
The room could do with a good clean as there was cobwebs and a spider, and the kettle did not fit in the sink to fill up as it was to big
Beautiful accommodation. Bed very comfy.
Location and age of property
Meals a bit pricey
Bed very comfortable. Lovely food. Friendly staff.
There were alot of flys in the bar area. Despite the staffs best efforts, the flys were still annoying when we were having our evening meal. It did spoil the evening a bit as we could not relax.
The pub itself is lovely, the food was excellent and really enjoyable, they also have a good selection of ales on hand-pull and draught, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, being in the countryside, there was a bit of an issue with flies in the pub, but overall the pub itself was very pleasant. The bathroom in Room 4 was lovely, with a really nice walk-in shower (although if you're visiting the bathroom in the middle of the night, just remember there is a step down into it!). There were tea and coffee making facilities provided and the bed was comfy, although the room was far smaller than I had anticipated. A TV and hairdryer was also provided. The free WiFi was also very good given the poor mobile phone signals found in the UK.
We were allocated Room 4, which is a small gable-end room with no conventional windows, only two Velux windows which did not open, just two trickle-vents. During our stay, temperatures reached around 32°C, and the room was incredibly hot. It genuinely felt like sleeping in an oven. We were both sweating throughout the night and got very little sleep, despite using the fan provided in the room. We had booked two rooms through Booking.com at £100 per room, per night, and had paid in full, with a payment confirmation from Booking.com. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly young member of staff who explained that the hotel had not received the payment from Booking.com. We were then told that the landlord/manager had instructed them to take payment from us again. This was being discussed in the main bar area, in front of other customers, which was quite embarrassing as it gave the impression that we hadn't paid. We explained that we had a receipt clearly confirming payment and were not prepared to pay another £400 when we had already paid for the rooms. After around 20 minutes, we were handed our keys and told they would speak to us later about this.
Lovely location on the edge of a village. Excellent, varied menu and lovely interesting breakfast choices. Friendly staff and great restaurant/bar
We had a very relaxing time at this hotel the staff were excellent the food was great and the owners were very friendly and encouraging to experience the places around and the history of the area

The pub and the staff were great. Food was amazing.
Room was quite small and extremely warm.
Room was comfortable and clean. Food was great
Staff attentive .Good food. Bed was comfortable. Price reasonable.
Tired looking furnishings, mainly in parts of restaurant. Some paintwork needed updating. Bathroom sink placed behind door and a little small for deluxe king room.
excellent freshly cooked breakfast, friendly staff
some confusion about the correct room but resolved quickly
Good choice and freshly cooked. Good breakfast.

There were quite a few flies when we were eating.
All staff very friendly and helpful, superb menu and quality of food, great chef
Location was really good for my business trip.
Seemed to be a lot of flies around!
Comfortable although compact double room. Very Comfortable bed. Fluffy towels. Staff extremly helpful. Good choice of food which was very good and great value.
Room was compact but functional
Exceptional service. Staff are extremely polite, helpful and go that extra mile to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one. The food is amazing and everything is so fresh and presented beautifully.
Nothing. Everything was perfect. Beautiful hotel, lovely, cosy room. Fantastic restaurant. Wonderful location. Nothing can be improved. It was the perfect break
Clean, comfortable, all we were expecting
Nothing
I was travelling to visit family in the area, but also to get respite from caring duties. The Parson Woodforde fulfilled my expectations. It was a very quiet location, I was able to go for a lovely morning walk along the quiet country lanes. The restaurant was busy the evening I arrived, it had a lovely vibe, staff were great. I had the most delicious seabass & salmon risotto. Breakfast was great too. Overall, this fitted the bill exactly for what I was looking for & I will most certainly visit again.

Lovely breakfast and dinner. Charming room. A very pleasant stay, thank you.
Ideally located for the event I attended. Excellent food and comfortable room

Good range of drinks, a warm welcome from all staff. Good and fresh food. Clean and comfortable bedroom with lovely linen and towels. Lovely location, great garden, ample parking, good Wifi.
The location, although in the middle of nowhere, was excellent for touring the area, the bed was comfortable and the room was adequate, the staff were all excellent, very friendly, very helpful always doing their best to provide whatever we asked for.
Whilst their menu which we had studied before booking was very interesting, during our three day stay usual/regular items (fillet steak, gammon steak, pork) on the menu were unavailable which I found very disappointing, this was the only downside to our stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom. Good breakfast.
Consistent quality every time we visit, lovely food, service and location.
Breakfast was amazing
Excellent food. You can tell it’ll be excellent from the choice of locally sourced food & cheeses they have - always a good sign. The rooms are really nice with good quality furnishings & a modern well equipped bathroom. The sheets are lovely really comfy bed. The staff are among the best I’ve come across. They are really friendly, innately know how to make your stay enjoyable & Nothing is too much trouble. I think I’ve found my favourite place near Norwich
They are having probs with the license at the moment, but allow you to bring your own alcohol. Not really a problem although I note they do Hawkstone so hope to return when all is resumed. Also no EV charger. That would be a nice touch.
I have stopped at the wonderful hotel/ pub numerous times and it never disappoints me. Everything is perfect and you are made to feel so welcome!

Easy check in. Friendly staff and incredibly helpful. Yummy breakfast!
Our room did not match the description given. It was marketed as 269 sq ft but in reality was more like 200. We measured it (including all of the bathroom and wardrobe as 13’ by 15’). Also the ‘garden view’ turned out to be of a car park and the roof outside. The bed was to softest I’ve ever come across in any hotel in over forty years. Some may find it comfy but it wasn’t kind to my back.
The full English breakfast was served hot and plentiful. The room was of a good size for two guests and their suitcases.
The b&b location is situated in a small village with very narrow roads. On arrival check in is located at the pub bar.
Staff are lovely, home from home feeling.
Water in the taps doesn't run cold ?
Breakfast was epic
The mixed grill was poor and not being told before we arrived that they messed up their license is unacceptable
Very friendly staff. Personal service. Excellent restaurant.
En suite bathroom is very small
Breakfast was fab
Nothing really. Room was a bit noisy later at night but otherwise great
An amazing find, lovely place, such friendly staff, great food and the breakfast menu was amazing. The rooms were clean and the bed was really comfortable. I will be staying here again.

Peaceful, pleasant, wealthy location. All staff attentive and pleasant. Plentiful breakfast; brilliant black pudding. Dinner in the restaurant the previous evening included a very good Malbec.
Lots of pork farms nearby, so expected a tastier sausage.
As always great
Everything! Highly recommend to everyone! Honestly, the staff treat you as family. I felt so welcomed and wanted from the moment I arrived, till I left. I even came back to use the WiFi for work, and welcomed with huge smiles and they were delighted to see me again after only 2 hours.
Nothing
Promptness of staff and good quality food.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean, modern and well presented
The room was quite compact, although well equipped.
Friendly staff, lovely food, room small but had everything required and very clean. Real character
Narrow road leading to it but expected as it is on the country
The location, the room, the staff were exceptional and the breakfast was amazing
Their rooms above the pub and restaurant are a nice touch, with a great breakfast and good parking facilities.
The room is very crammed, with no space to move even in the bathroom.
Parking, food, staff all very good Room itself was on the small side and creaky floorboards outside our room were very loud
Size of bedroom
good breakfast. ambience, beer garden, quiet rural location
bed was too soft
No heating in room 5 but staff gave us a heater
Good evening meal, comfy bed, good shower and good breakfast
The atmosphere was great, staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic food, reasonable price.
Nothing not to like
Lovely place to stay, the room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was comfy. The food was very nice with lots of options especially at breakfast, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again and would definitely recommend 😁
As I was leaving before breakfast they up a breakfast sandwich for me to take away
Excellent accommodation, very friendly staff, dinner and breakfast both exceptional. Comfy bed.
Nothing.
A friendly welcome, superb room, very comfortable bed. Great service in the pub-restaurant. Enjoyed the best steak & chips I've had for a long time. And the breakfast was excellent too. Will stay here again. Highly recommended.
Set in village surrounded by beautiful countryside. Lovely homely pub interior. Staff were excellent , I had dinner on one evening and it was excellent
There is nothing to not like
Lovely building, lovely setting, warm welcome, great food and hospitality.
Nothing
Breakfast was excellent, and as a retired hotel chef I was impressed with ingredients quality. overall cooking and presentation. Evening atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the working team were friendly and efficient. Bed and linen were very comfortable, as were the pillows.
Our room was quite creaky under foot and room had too much light ingress from the landing through the door frame. Bathroom area was a little too small for us but manageable.
Comfortable room, food was very good
Nothing
Cooked breakfast excellent. I personally would have enjoyed fresh fruit
Found our room (4) claustrophobic due to only having velux windows
Beautiful inn on the outskirts of Norwich superb location excellent food and friendly helpful staff
Everything
Staff was amazing, food was amazing, and the room was clean and tidy.
Floors were cracking, hopefully the neighbours didn't walked around at late hours
Good selection of real ales. Varied evening menu. Breakfast menu had loads of choice.
Granary or sourdough toast would be nice at breakfast, plus some marmalades and jams.
Great place, lovely room, great breakfast
Very hot, with no way to turn down heating
A great selection well cooked and presented. Enjoyed
Wrer not informed that the towel rail in the bathroom had a leak and a bucket to catch the water. My husband had to empty it twice to save it overflowing. We did mention it on leaving and staff syated that they would look at it.
Vriendelijk personeel, goed eten en schone kamer.
Kamers zijn heel gehorig.
Really friendly staff, huge bed, very comfortable.
Slightly noise neighbours - creaky floors and thin walls made this more noticeable.
Friendly staff, we had 3 meals and we could not fault any of them. Room was clean and lovely.
Nothing
Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food is fantastic.
Room 1 executive king size was dark, smaller than expected and the window overlooks the roof and the very noisy extractor unit from the kitchen. This goes off at 9.40pm and comes on again about 7am, but on our second night it went off but came back on around 11pm and stayed on all night! The room also wasn't as clean as expected.
A great location. Beautifully decorated. Friendly and efficient staff
Nothing noted
Breakfast was fantastic. The pub was beautiful . The staff were very helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed . Bed was very comfortable
Could have had a bit of sound proofing in the walls
As frequent visitors we find the welcome and everything from there on consistently excellent!!
The sometimes tricky road to get there, but otherwise faultless.
The staff were very welcoming.
The room was quite hot despite turning the radiator off and the wardrobe seemed to be more suited for a child.
Friendly staff,. clean, great food
super soft bed and pillows, not comfortable and the light was too bright in lamp and the overhead light was not dimmable but glitchy
Modern Bedroom and Bathroom Excellent Food Very Friendly Staff
Pot holes in drive to rear parking
Very clean and fresh room, bed was very comfortable, and roomie.
A very personal opinion but the room was very hot (which I understand for winter) however was a tad much for me and my husband.
