The Royal Mandaya Hotel

I like everything the room super clean and the food very good also the locationll nice and the stuff very friendly.

I don't like the swimming pools too small. And also the food need to add more different varieties because is only a little bit not enough.

I enjoyed the bathtub. Very respectful and accommodating staff.

Some areas of the hotel weren't tidy clean, rusty handrails around the swimming pool we were worried about getting injured.

Lack of internet connection, not neat and clean, the things are old and television are also old ac are not very cold. Lack of parking.. improved all the amenities and facilities. The linen pillows are old.

As you arrive the security staff greet you with a smile, then when you enter the reception area you suddenly feel comfortable due to the aromatic scent and another friendly welcoming smile. All the staff are very professional and extremely helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The shower and water quality was great. The included breakfast was exceptional, so was the dinner buffet. The Chef and kitchen staff definitely take pride in their work. This is definitely a 5 star hotel.

The bed is feels itchy even i complain to the reception. They didn't address our concern. I felt there is a bed bug. The tel operator/reception was ignore our concern.

The food is terrible i got salmonella and stayed 3 days in the hospital. They had a big menucard but there were almost no guests in the resort. Also the included breakfast was silly only 3 toast and 1 cup of coffee. No water or juices The butler was an amateur and bother us with ridiculous questions

Was an awesome stay and experience except that there was no WIFI in the room and you had to go to the lobby in order to use WIFI. I was advised the WIFI in the rooms hadn’t worked for the past month and there was no date known when it would be restored. This fact really affected my overall stay and impression of this hotel and a main reason for booking any stay is that my room has WIFI. The room was advertised as having WIFI but it was only when I checked in i was told of the situation. The mobile provider I was using had a poor signal in the high room I was allocated so I had to go and purchase another sim card from the other provider so I could have data in my room. Very disatisfied with this situation but the hotel and staff were beautiful other than this. I ended up staying 5 nights over 2 seperate bookings but had I known there was no WIFI would have planned to go elsewhere.

Resto is good and the staff are attentive and kind.

towels are really old like a RAG. Chairs are saggy. water pressure is LOW. the building is not properly maintained and due to several earthquakes hit in mindanao, observed several cracks on the wall.

Many functions generating a massive amount of noise. Disco at 2am. Noisy delegates. Out room could here the pool music 7am until 10pm. Way too loud despite request to turn it down

Hotele i seg selv var utroli fint. Enneste som var litt synd at dem ikke hadde informasjon noen steder om at man må ha hvanli tshorte for å slippe inn til frokost. De ansatte gjorde oppholde helt magisk dem var behelpeli med alt man lurte på å ordnet ting så og si med engang. Var jordskjelv å dama ble stressa men roa seg ned etter samtale med en av de ansatte på hotelet, dem sier dem pusser det enne tårne så detvhar ikke nett men da kan man forespøre et egen nett boks

The value for the rooms were great. The breakfast in the morning was good, as well and how clean the rooms were was nice. The front desk and bell staff were very accommodating. Also, you cannot beat the location. I might add that the hallway to our room in Tower 2 was like walking through an art gallery, which was nice.

The hotel itself was on the older side and you can tell some floors needed some work done to it. The toilet in my room had a small leak to it, but nothing worth calling front desk about.

Royal Mandaya is an institution in Davao. It’s when you know, you know. Staff were polite as usual Building is well maintained albeit on the old side Comfy bed and pillow Elegant evenings Free basement parking unlike the rest of the establishments in the city Overall, it’s giving proper hotel comfort. A comfort that condo rentals could never give you. I hope hotel scene in Davao remains strong despite the rise of condo rentals.

The amazing customer service of the staff. We don’t have dull moments with them. From the concierge, reception, the F&B team to the room service.

I knew the property very well as I grew up in the city of Davao. You guys had an amazing staff and good customer service. Upgrade the property at least or maintain the image by repainting it and clean it a bit.

Staff is very professional and attentive. The lobby and breakfast buffet are gorgeous. Service is quick and efficient.

The rooms need more attention, things like the tv or the aircon, I happened to have 4 (four) external aircon units in my “balcony”. Why? The bathtub had a crack, And it needs soundproofing.

payment at booking.com The room was supposedly paid in booking.com but staff said they had no terminal to process the online transaction paid through corporate card. CCard was still needed during check out which was no longer available and staff had to use own money to pay the accommodation.

1. Poor communications from the staff. When I was checking out they told me to pay the full amount, which was not received by the hotel from my online booking . It should be communicated earlier, not when I was about to leave for airport for my flight. I was running around for ATMs and exchange to pay the amount. It was horrible experience. 2. Online booking says restaurant and kitchen in hotel open 24 hours which is wrong . It closes at 11pm. They only offer buffet food after you pay .The food was below average. 3. In the room Aircon was not working .They had to call technician to fix. Fridge was not getting cold for some reason. I was so exhausted I did not even bother. 4. I asked the staff till what time house keeping finishes work if it's possible I can clean my room later. one staff member told me till 5pm. another told me till 11 p.m. It was so confusing. 5. When I was talking to one receptionist about something other staff members staring and listening constantly which was so unprofessional especially security guards,
