Bfast buffet
Toilet overflowed. Hot water after 20-30 min
Accessibility, friendly & accommodating staff, very clean
There’s no gym available to use.
I loved the location, since this was a hotel that I knew since I was a kid, when the city was still starting. Easy access to the main streets, walking around was safe, and the streets weren't full of jeepneys like the main road. I had a great experience with the check in, the staff was very helpful and they accommodated our request for a pool side view.
The lobby/reception area was always super busy, and I felt like I was in a crowded mall instead of a hotel. Storage area for baggage and parcels were not fully secured, and my husband, who was waiting for his ride, couldn't even sit in any of the chairs allocated for hotel guests because of other people doing business of some sort. I checked into this hotel for the pool, (used to swim daily years ago) and was disappointed that they haven't upgraded their shower and facilities. Their breakfast menu was not as varied as I expected for the price we paid for the room. Comparing it to Hotel Mandaya, whose breakfast buffet had double the number of dishes, and looked fresher.
in the city centre, accessible / walking distance to most places
Had issues with plumbing and aircon, bit this got sorted immediately.
The location is in the center of the city. Very accesible.
The breakfast buffet.. very so-so … Davao City is well-known for the variety of fruits and yet they only serve watermelon . 😑😔😒. The foods are very limited to few. No personnel was assigned in the entrance of the buffet restaurant.
The public areas of the hotel are pleasant, clean and fairly modern looking. The hotel is in a good location with restaurants, pharmacies and ATMs all within reasonable walking distance.
The listing on Booking.com advised airport shuttle available. There was no response to my question on this from either e-mail or text communications. Room was dark , dingy and smelled damp and musty. Bed was firm but comfortable. Mini fridge in the room but empty. The AC unit was very cold but old and very noisy. Internet was abysmal ! Continually dropped every few minutes making it difficult to work ! Buffet dinner in the restaurant was not great. Relatively small selection available and the food was not that great. Buffet breakfast was pretty much the same . Not much of a choice and the scrambled eggs were cold !
* Breakfast inclusion is always good when you check in. * The bed is very big, with two single beds combined for the Deluxe Room. * The staff are nice and friendly.
* Finding the elevator is like a maze. 😅 * The lights are too dim, or maybe the room is not that spacious. * The aircon is spitting ice (needs cleaning). Sometimes it makes noise also. * Can't charge my phone properly. The outlets are too loose, and my charger always falls off.
good breakfast
location
Friendly staffs
The pool and the staff at the buffet.
Too noisy because of too many events held at the hotel but did not affect our room. The ladies at the reception were not personable. Quite dismissive actually. More training to handle customer complaints.
Staff were very friendly
The hotel is really showing its age ,hot water took an eternity to come out the tap pool area and outside toilets need updating and the pool water was very cloudy
The place is nice, very well located, and easy to access the town. All workers are very nice and helpful.
To many people, busy places, for me, not ideal for foreigner to busy and crowded place. There are too many events and meetings of different groups.
Good breakfast buffet
Building Structure
.
AC working with very noisy, so slept not well. The water is not draining from the washbasin.
Worst staff, very old facilities smells bad
Close to Davao city centre and eateries and bars.
I received 3 scam messages in the months before my stay which had the correct booking details. Apo View need to fix your IT security. The bathroom was dated.
Everything is good except for the very slow wifi.
Very slow or poor WiFi connection.
Closecto bars
Hot
Close to town
Shut to early
Awesome
Little smelly
The buffet had a lot of variety and was good.
The hotel is quite rundown. Our room was at the end of a hall that seemed to be having repairs. The rooms are outdated. The power plugs were not all working. The shower was not very hot.
Nice Location Staff was friendly and accommodating
The breakfast is excellent!
The kids pool, a little bit dirty and slippery.
Nice pool and pool area, helpful staff ,breakfast ok but somedays breakfastroom crowded.
Wifi disconnecting all the time ,and extremly slow.
Nice and clean rooms, comfortable beds. Overall I liked the room, though it was a little outdated. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. And also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Even though we stayed for only 1 night, we we could leave our car parked at the hotel for a few more hours.
The only thing which felt a bit off, where the doors between rooms. They connect 2 rooms and of course they can be locked, but it just feels a little strange that you can theoretically walk into your neighbors room.
Breakfast is really good and the location is excellent.
The toilet flush and bath tub drains very slow. And the neighbors were so loud on our 2nd night. The young adults keeps banging their doors and talking and we’re so loud . I had to call security.
Location
Bathrooms need updating, bed not comfortable
its near in all access like restaurants, malls people’s park..
its old hotel the bathtub was not working well the pile clogged i think…
close to the city center, walking distance to the park, cathedral, restaurants, fruit market. Buffet was amazing
Nothing
Buffet was fantastic, very well decorated and pleasant atmosphere
Far walk from desk to elevators especially with many baggage
The location
Very clean and staff very accommodating
I like the area closer to anywhere I wish to go, its clean and friendly staff
its always the parking space for our vehicle and wifi connection keep cutting off
Good location , accessible to the heart of Davao.
The breakfast was ok and the location
The room because I am expected superior room was nice but very small
Location and cleanlines.
Breakfast buffet. Food is not great and service crew were selective or judgmental on who they gave their 100% service attention. If you are a foreigner you get great service but if you look like an ordinary filipino ,service is poor. Cant even offer you coffee. All food were empty at 8am. Ill stay here without breakfast.
Very nice staff
Aircon is noisy for guests with not deep sleep
Location
Poor handling of booking.
Their queen bed is just two single beds combined
The air conditioning was noisy; the shower was a little complicated. Bed was hard.

The location is very good and accessible to different attractions in the city. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of different food.
Not much to say.
No hot shower. They only gave 1 room key, so whenever I leave the hotel everything turns off. I asked for an extra key, they didnt give me one. I experienced three black outs that woke me up in the middle of the night three times! The small room refrigerator rattles every now and then which is startling. Wifi is weak. Air conditioning was old and takes some time to cool
Nice place, nice food and very pleasant staff
Sofar so good
I like the property. It is not so high the building especially when the earthquake happened
Some areas is still had cracks of the building and little bit parking area. No trashbin .
Restaurant is fine, employee are hospitality.
Possible improve the smell inside the room and pathways, especially inside elavators.
The swimming pool my daughter's fave part. The food, service and staff.
Bed wasn't so comfortable, need renovation
Room is old
Old
Love staying here staff is friendly very clean love it ☺️hope to stay this hotel next time 😉
They upgraded their family room; it looks spacious and clean, and they installed two new air conditioners, which is great, and the window view is of Samal Island. The location is great; it's accessible to everything - park, mall, bars, like everything. The room price is great value.
The breakfast buffet doesn’t have a lot of options like it used to, and you get tired of it if you're staying there for several days because the food is always the same and the main dish has only 3-4 options. They only have pineapple and watermelon for fruits. The staff is not as friendly; when you ask for coffee, they never come back, or you have to ask them again, and they even ignore you when you're trying to ask. So, you'd rather do it yourself.
A nice stay. Originally we were moved from our booked family room to two adjoining rooms. These rooms were of a poor standard. The staff helpfully moved us into a family room. As the oldest hotel in Davao, I think being old is not an excuse for being poorly maintained. The price tag exudes luxury, but it is not luxurious. Bathrooms come with prices if you want towels. This is because many are stolrn and I sympathise but I think penalising guests who are respectful gives a bad vibe. Similarly, threatening to charge for leftover breakfasts is not a hospitable thing to read at the breakfast table. However, the rooms are clean and staff are helpful. I would still recommend it, if the location is good for you.
Great place to stay. Buffet breakfast has a lot of options, all delicious.
