Lovely hotel, ideally situated, with a friendly staff. Paying a little extra for the river view was certainly worth it!

Wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful traditional hotel. We received valet parking which was a delight. The hotel is located in a great location and they were able to offer travel advice which enabled a short trip to the main spots around the lake. Can't wait to return.

Whenever I’am in Lausanne and there is a need for me to stay in a hotel, my first choice is always Hotel de la Paix!… Always a pleasure!!! Unfortunately the Usually peaceful ,quiet, evenings of rest were interrupted with a fracas coming from the park situated across from the Hotel at my last stay…A group of people playing loud music singing and using vulgarities (that could clearly be heard) tarnished an otherwise “brilliant” stay at the hotel…Not to mention kept me awake..I truly hope the hotel will take the necessary steps to insure in future that guests rest is not interrupted by a situation that is manageable. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. Clean, comfortable. Building has character. Great breakfast buffet with wide view of Lake Geneva. Would definitely stay here again.

The walk from the train station was a hard walk uphill ending with a huge flight of stairs to the hotel. We are in our 60's and 70's. We wished there had been a warning and we would have gotten a taxi. The rooms were fine but our carpet was very dirty.

I am somewhat dissatisfied. As a Gold member of Hotels.com I should have been upgraded. The staff told me they were sold out but I went on Hotels.com and it showed that they had 8 upgraded rooms available. Also, we were out of the room from 8am to 3:45 and the room was not serviced, I had a conference call going on and was told either they clean the room now or it won't be cleaned. It was not serviced.

The room was a lot bigger than I was expecting. Very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings. The hotel is very well looked after. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The valet parking is something I have not experienced before and was very impressive. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. I would have liked a bit more choice for breakfast but everything was nice. The hotel is in a very busy area so traffic is quite heavy. I would be happy to stay here again.

Wonderful location and great staff.

Convenient location , rooms were dated but clean so location out weighed the rooms . Received a bottle of red wine in room with VIP access but no room upgrade . As with all hotels free public transport pass is great , transport is excellent

Lovely hotel and room with a super view. But the room was so over heated. The radiator was on the highest setting when I arrived, I turned it off, but the room was still like a sauna for the rest of the night, and this was on quite a cold day in March! Very poor sustainability wise to be using so much heating unnecessarily.

Great location!

The Reception team single-handedly ruined what could have been a nice experience. They are shockingly terrible and unwilling to provide good service. They were doing renovations and failed to tell me and put me in a room right across from drilling and very loud noises and dust. They then moved me to another room - the only one without a balcony on that side of the hotel. You’d think they’d want to make a good impression and make up for a disappointing check in. After that so many issues followed with parking, room temperature, and the valet service, and every time the Reception team couldn’t have been more inefficient and indifferent. It’s not rocket science. They could have done so much more to make my stay more comfortable and to provide proactive and welcoming customer service and did not. I would not recommend staying at the hotel.

Lovely hotel, conveniently situated, clean, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Nice surroundings, shopping and dining all walking distance. Train station 10-12 minute walk away. Enjoyed my stay!

I can say in general the hotel is ok. Reaally clean and nice location but room really old the horrible is how treat to us the manager, we paid a lot for this hotel and the room is not was expected i was interior and dark i been to spoke with manager and her acting is like i not my problem paid more and i change. I was looking to change the hotel but i was the night before Christmas and im woth my litlle one. I dont have any options. I can recommend if you dont like to work in front the house change the job.

Been staying here for 15 years - great location and very good access to public transport. Restaurants and bars all close by- great views in the morning towards Mont Blanc and Evian at breakfast ( when a clear day) and also from rooms if you opt for lake view

We had a lake view room but fronts a very busy street so it was noisy. We stayed 2 nights and had no maid service or room amenities which was disappointing. The valet parking was awesome tho and the restaurant was convenient and good for dinner. If I’m ever in Lausanne again I would opt to stay on water front instead of old town for less noise and greater walkability.

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable 5-night stay. The staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were good. Lovely situation with beautiful views and plenty of local amenities, if you don't mind the steep hillside.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms but really unfriendly staff and the breakfast buffet was okay but have had better selection of breakfast items at much smaller hotels. Seems to be a popular hotel stay for bus tours.

Very clean, easy access to many places. Front desk staff (tall young man) is very helpful and patient. Will stay there again if we visit Lausanne.

Great view of Geneva Lake. The staff were very friendly, but the female manager was rude. I don't know whats going on with Switzerland but they really need to be more educated on manners.

The hotel is amazing with spacious rooms and convenient location. The only thing we didn’t like was their breakfast. Very limited choice, the same menu every day. The scrambled eggs tasted like made from powder. And I wished for more pastries.

Hotel is in a good location and rooms are very spacious. Considering the high price and the fact that it is a four star hotel, I was expecting more in terms of quality and amenities : no coffee machine or complementary water in the room, very thin and worn towel on first day, average breakfast.

Such a lovely hotel: very clean, elegant, and quiet. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was well presented.

Great location and comfortable room. They allowed us to check-in an hour or so early. Did not have the bath we expected but the early check-in and valet parking made up for that. The Lausanne travel pass was a plus given the hilly location of the city.

Clean gym w/ newer equipment. Restaurant dinner was ok but on the pricy end.

Every thing was great, but not enough amenities.

A great location. I have been visiting this holder for decades, but in the last six years, they have been going through nonstop renovations, which never seem to end. Construction sounds every morning. Each year, I figure the construction is over and book my room because of their great location. However, I'm disappointed to arrive and see that the construction and endless renovations are still continuing. When I complained to the front desk, they just said this is happening and nothing they can do about the noise. I was hoping at least they would credit me something for having to endure the construction banging every morning.

Very good view of the lake, close to metro stop, but very expensive neighbourhood. Beware that they charge you a damage deposit for each day of your stay (eg. 4 nights x 100 CHF = 400 CHF placed on your credit card).

Nice big room with comfortable bed and good air-conditioning. I made reservations for two rooms at the same price. The one my brother stayed in was much larger with a bigger bathroom as well.

A pleasant family friendly hotel conveniently close to the station, cathedral, parks and many restaurants. While not overly spacious the rooms are adequate and clean, with attentive daily servicing. Front-facing rooms with a view over the lake are best, though those to the side along Rue de la Paix are perfectly adequate, many having a balcony from which one can glimpse the lake. One gets plenty of exercise walking to and from the town centre as the hotel is situated on one of Lausanne's many hills. The lake is quite some distance from the hotel but one can take advantage of the free bus pass offered to visitors. A very pleasant stay.

Excellent location.

Loved this hotel, a very luxurious feel to it. Rooms were spacious and we had an adjoining room which was just as large and even had a bath and shower. It is situated quite high up, so would be quite a climb if not too fit, however there is a free travel pass in Lausanne (and in Switzerland) that you will be given for metro, buses and trains. We had the buffet breakfast which was tasty and set us up for the day. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful and gave us advice on what to see etc plus a city map.

Nice hotel with comfortable linen and beds. Service at reception desk was very nice. We ate at the hotel restaurant on our last night and the food and wine were also really good.

Fantastic room, location and amenities. They don’t have a lot of bathroom products but if you are a grown adult you should probably know to bring your own!

The property and rooms were beautiful. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was great and centrally located with shops and restaurants a quick walk away. The valet parking which was included in our room rate was a nice added feature.

The hotel is very nice, but is not walkable from train station. With metro or bus, we still have to walk about 5 minutes with uphill brick roads, not easy for pulling luggages. Other than that, the hotel is great, located right at the center of downtwon.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. It's a great location for exploring Geneva. It was a quick walk to the metro where we could take the train or go to the lake. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Our room with the balcony that overlooked the lake was well worth the extra splurge.

Overall very happy with our stay in the Centre of Lausanne.

Lovely hotel and very comfortable. Good location.Parking was across the road and chargeable but Hotels.com member benefits covered this. Additional pillows in the room would have been nice otherwise couldn't fault it. Free local transport passes were a good addition too.
