Our 2 bedroom villa was very spacious

That the gym had been converted to a 24 hour facility open to the public

Easy walk to beach, bed comfortable, good breakfast, clean, lovely staff, overall older traditional Balinese vibe which we love. AC & fans great. Very close to cheap eating places, Little Birdie, Dekko, great bar, close to Icon, easy walk to anything, easy to get transport. Villa C was lovely & quiet, private. Overall our experience was exceptional. Thank you Ajunta, so enjoyed our stay

Ajanta is a spacious property with two huge bedrooms with ensuites upstairs, a full kitchen and dining room, toilet and lounge downstairs. Beautiful pool with a massive day bed, two lounge chairs and two chairs surrounding the pool. We had breakfast cooked in our villa at a chosen time each morning. The staff a lovely and cleaned our villa daily.

Nothing really, the inside lounge chairs were a little uncomfortable but really we were not there to watch TV. Mostly we were outside.

Excellent location. Breakfast made in villa every day was delicious. Very friendly staff, villa was comfortable and perfect for what we needed.

Breakfast cooked in the villa each morning was a treat, My favourite part of the stay and got me in to holiday mode quicker than ever.

A shame that the entry through the markets at the back is closed due to the construction, but nothing Ajanta could do about this. I just dislike walking through Icon Mall each time to get to beach path. Certainly not a deal breaker though. Absolutely no noise from the construction and were in Villa I near the rear of complex.

Ajanta villas are very spacious and are in an excellent location right along from The Iconic Bali mall, through which you can access the boardwalk and beach - about a 5 minute walk all up. The staff as you would expect are friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast has lots of choices and is prepared in your villa each morning at the time you have chosen (although sometimes our preferred time was not available). We enjoyed having our own pool and the villa was very private and quiet even though it wasn't far from the busyness of Jalan Danau Tamblingan Road. Lots of excellent eateries nearby.

The villas are a bit tired overall and the entrance off the street and reception area not very welcoming or attractive.

Loved the privacy and having your own pool. The size of the Villa was fantastic and the decor was lovely too.

The only thing we didn’t like was that it no longer had beach access which is important if you planned to surf or are beach goers and uses like us. We were advised that access is available through Bali Icon but this is difficult if carrying an 8 foot surfboard and it is not open before 10.00am

Our stay at Ajanta Villas was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location is spectacular, situated right next to the new ICON mall, which offers great convenience and direct access to the beachfront. Even with two young kids in tow (ages 4 and 6), the beachfront was literally just an easy 8-10 minute walk away.The service here is truly exceptional. Every single staff member we encountered was all smiles, incredibly friendly, and genuinely attentive. They made us feel right at home with a completely fuss-free check-in and check-out process. The team was incredibly prompt in booking an in-house massage for us, and the masseur was fantastic. They were equally quick whenever we needed anything else, like delivering fresh beach towels straight to our villa.A wonderful and heartwarming highlight of our trip was their dog, who was incredibly friendly and always ready to welcome us! We were also very pleasantly surprised that there were no mosquitoes at all during our stay, which made relaxing by our private pool completely stress-free.To top it all off, the staff went completely above and beyond by surprising my son with a whole birthday cake right before our check-out. It was such a sweet, thoughtful gesture that we will never forget. We are definitely planning a visit back next year!

Hope we can request for a villa with 2 rooms just like the one we stayed at but with no stairs. But otherwise all was great!

Absolutely loved our stay here. We had a two-bedroom villa with a private pool. This was our first accommodation in Bali, and it turned out to be the best. So private in a great location. Can't believe it for the price. The villa we stayed in even had a piano.

Downstairs seating was a little firm, but I'm nitpicking.

Location was perfect - 200m to Icon mall and beach. Huge bedrooms that were upstairs so you could make noise and not disrupt others.

Very closely located to the Icon Bali. Staff are always so friendly and polite. The breakfast included is excellent. Access to the gym.

De locatie is geweldig, het is midden in het centrum en op 5 min. lopen van het nieuwe Icon Bali mall. Als je door deze mall loopt kom je op het strand en beach walk terecht. Ook de accommodatie was geweldig, super groot en schoon. Een nette en schone prive zwembad, waaraan je heerlijk kan liggen en/of zitten. En de bedden lagen heerlijk. De receptie is wel eenvoudig, laat je daardoor niet afschrikken.

In het appartement waren twee slaapkamers met beide een eigen badkamer. Beide hadden een bubbelbad. Ons bubbelbad deed het niet en die van de kinderen was lek. Dit doorgeheven, een paar uur later stond de monteur al bij ons in het appartement. We hebben het niet meer geprobeerd, maar gaan er vanuit dat het gelijk is gerepareerd. In iedergeval hebben ze dit gelijk opgepakt.

We had a wonderful 2N stay at Ajanta Villa in Sanur. The private pool was fantastic and the villa was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family with three children. The location couldn’t be better just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops (icon Bali) yet still peaceful and quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly and always happy to help, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Breakfast was too much. We were a family of five and easily had enough food for ten. One small downside was that some Australian guests complained around 10 p.m. that our kids were making too much noise. Our kids were swimming for 15 minutes after 18h flight.

The location was excellent. Very close to icon mall, money changer & ATM, breakfast options and beach access (only through the mall - no accessible gangs).

The hot water ran out before one shower finished - tricky to manage when the whole family want to shower before going to bed. The pool was really cold. Too cold for us to swim in and enjoy.

What a perfect location. We were walking distance to everything. You reach the beach through the Bali Icon mall that is a beautiful peace of architecture. The beach was great for swimming and lazing all day, tide depending. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was ample and fresh. They prepare it in your villa with a warm smile and care.

This villa has so much potential. We were truly looking forward to spending six days here. Unfortunately they have a few major problems. The mattress has indentations from long use. They supplied me with an extra single bed that was far more comfortable. My wife, who is not nearly as picky as me tried to sleep in the middle of the mattress, but would roll down during the night. The bathroom is huge but the shower is so small that it looks like one you would find on a cruise ship. The living room was the biggest disappointment. When I read , furnished with traditional Balinese furniture, I did not think it would be clunky uncomfortable furnishings. We never used the space other than having breakfast. The pool dominated the yard and you had to turn sideways to move between the two sunbeds that were placed in the entrance. It is sad that such a huge villa was made impractical by bad design choices.

Clean, tidy, well presented, large sized rooms, pool was great on a warm day, breakfast in house was fantastic. Def recommend the smoothie bowl! Perfect set up for a family of 4 or two couples. Room was slightly different set up to what was on photos but it didn’t matter one bit. Staff were so helpful and lovely. Great location close to mall, beach and it’s located on the Main Street

It was a bit noisy as it’s located on Main Street, but it wasn’t bad. If you’re a light sleeper ear plugs will help.

We loved everything about Ajanta - for starters the location is excellent! Ajanta Villas (our villa was 2 buildings, with a private pool in between) are just a wonderful tropical retreat tucked away between beautiful Sanur Beach and the busy main road. There is no noise - only pure bliss! Whichever way you go, you're spoilt for choice with cafe's and restaurants! Then there's the Bali Icon a stones throw away that has among other things, a fabulous supermarket at one end and some great restaurants the other end where it's all happening along the fabulous Boardwalk! Our favourite place to relax, eat and swim was Memories Restaurant - just a wonderful ambiance especially when your're lazing the day away on a double day bed! We have found our place in Sanur - Ajanta we can't wait to return again next year. Thank you to the beautiful staff for making our stay so special, and for the wonderful owner who we met personally.

We had a small problem with the internet, but the lovely owner contacted us directly and kingly organised for it to be fixed quickly. For that reason, we still rate Ajanta 10/10

The Villa was awesome, large, great sized pool, fruit basket on arrival and coconut drinks. Great onsite gym, but I was too lazy. Loved the outdoor shower, big bath tub... internal lounge area, outdoor kitchen and courtyard. Great location a quick walk to beach, 'Icon' mall, bars, Sindhu markets... staff were very helpful

Airconditioner was extremely noisy, room wasn’t super clean. Bed was hard. Shower head barely sprayed any water. Pool filter broke the day before we left, so pool wasn’t full with water and not really useable. Property didn’t offer another villa or any compensation

From the fist night meeting Putu right thru out stay I must admit it was one of the nicest experiences ever. Staff couldn't do enough for you, polite, friendly and helpful in every way. Koman, Fitri, Yande, Wayan, Putu staff absolutely lovely people and came to villa each morning with smiles and a delish breakfast. We had Villa 1 which was a 2 bedroom villa, beautiful cool, clean pool, downstairs kitchen and lounge very spacious and 2 large bedrooms upstairs. Staff kept the villa imaculate with daily servicing if required. Manager Eliane very lovely, frienndly and helpful. Would I stay here again???? Definitely as it ticks all the boxes that I wanted and more. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here and felt very safe and as I said prior all staff do a wonderful job looking after you here as I know thay all have worked here for along time and take pride in what they do.

Great location near the beach, shops and restaurants. Pool was wonderful. Plenty of room and very comfortable. Staff were wonderful. Everything we asked for was looked after perfectly.

Would have liked an internal shower. It was ok as it was part of the bathroom but that would be the preference. The music from nearby night spots was very loud and went on till too late for us, about 11pm.

Rented villas A and I. They were both very clean, spacious and beautiful! Amazing clean pools (you can rent a fence to protect your kids) to enjoy. Breakfasts cooked at the property were vere tasty and good value for money. Location is very good: you have access to the modern shopping center, beach, beachside cafes and local markets. Staff was very good and helpful.

The location is great. Private beach access through to the market. Staff are 5* friendly, helpful and professional. They went above and beyond. Villas were roomy and comfortable and breakfast was delicious. There's a gym out the front which is free for guests.

We had a few daily maintenance issues (shower tap running and handle coming off, dirty water into the bath, phone not working) They were all quickly fixed. Pool was a little chilly. In saying all that - I would definitely stay again.

This is our third time staying at Ajanta Villas in a one-bedroom villa with private pool. Everything was superb—location is perfect, only a minute walk to the Sanur beach, and a minute walk to the new Icon Mall. Everything—massage, restaurants, shopping—are only foot steps away. Still, the privacy of the Ajanta villa compound is quiet and secure. The villa is beautifully decorated giving us both an exotic and luxurious experience. Daily breakfast was first-rate and served at our villa at our chosen time.

Liked everything-- Ajanta staff was the nicest and kindest. Loved the private pool—so large and clean—all set within a gorgeous garden. A/C bedrooms are always cool. I can’t thank the management and staff for making us feel so welcomed. We already booked again for next year.

Dated, needed a real clean in showers and blinds throughout

Villa size plenty of room for two, location to the beach not so bad, close to the icon shopping mall just far enough away for noise. So many chioces eating out.

Was not told of building renos taking place next door at time of booking. So noisey at times. Met with building manager agreed no jackhammering after 5pm next day 830am start hmmf Villa c Pool was green, ask for pool test on arrival, was low in clorine, they put some liquid chem in next day it was clearer you could now see the alge on bottom ask for pool cleaner again to vac out pool . Next day pool cleaner turns up put more clorine in pool asked if coming back later no he off to other resort back in 3 days. Complained again to reception yes sir it will get fix. The the room phone went dead then the water to villa was cut off twice during our stay renos next door turned off water when they needed no warning. Took three days to fix phone. Not going back any time soon.

Loved our villa, the pool, kitchen facilities, the lovely big combo bedroom sitting rooms and the luxurious bathrooms with beautiful outdoor showers. Proximity to shops, cafes, markets and the beach was excellent. Staff were lovely, very attentive, prompt and courteous. My friend who had a birthday while at Ajanta was even presented with a beautiful birthday cake. A lovely surprise.

The villa was spacious and secluded! It is a beautiful piece of paradise close to everything! The staff were wonderful so helpful! It was so nice having your own pool Too! and having your breakfast cooked each morning with fresh fruit!

The bed was very hard - not that it’s a bad thing I just prefer a softer bed

We were in villa I. It was a two storey villa with 2 bedrooms each with ensuites upstairs. It had a full kitchen, dining and lounge downstairs with additional toilet and outdoor shower. The villa had the old style power points so you needed an adapter to charge Australian devices. Not a problem though reception was able to lend us one and we plugged the USB cables into the TV to charge. Staff were lovely and cleaned the villa daily and also cleaned the pool. Free use of the gym was a bonus. They can cook Breakfast for you in the villa for an additional fee but we chose to eat on the beach. Access to the beach is via a gate at the bottom of the property and then you walk through the markets. A lot of the stores at the back of the markets have closed down and can feel a little creepy at night but we used it and had no issues.

The darker tiles in the pool made the pool look unclean (which it was not - it was very clean). The villa is large and does not get a lot of direct sunlight on the bottom level so can feel a little dark. Top level got plenty of sunlight. These things are only minor and did not detract from our stay.

We enjoyed everything,close to street and beach and lots of restaurants too.

I was disappointed that it was so expensive for 12 people to hire sun lounges daily. When booking l thought beach access meant outside our villa on beach not down at the Memories cafe. I honestly think we pay more than enough at Ajanta to have this for free because we don’t always stay a long time at memories and don’t get to use rebate. This would deter me from returning but the property and staff were excellent. Also my family found the gym way too hot to use

- tv not working in bedroom. They came and got stations working, but not Netflix. Went back next day saying Netflix still isn’t working. - The air conditioner in the bedroom is extremely noisy and I’m concerned that the filters haven’t been cleaned. Since our first night, I have had a really saw throut. Been to chemist 2 times for medication. It’s not the flu as no runny nose. - Light shines through the timber blinds from the pool lights all night, so no dark room. - The pool stairs are in a dangerous position. You get out of the pool and have to stand over a garden bed, you could access through the bedroom, but then you would have bugs in the room and a wet floor, trip hazard. - The doors on the lounge kitchen area, don’t all open, and when they are open, hard to walk past them, very tight around the pool area with the day beds. Villa 12, can lay on sun lounge and have no sun, any time of day. - A two story villa across from this villa, can see straight into the pool and all of our villa. No privacy - The bed is a rock. I did ask them to put a topper on, but made no difference. It’s like sleeping on a plank of wood. - Since we haven’t slept for the past 5 nights, bedroom lit up all night, if you sleep with the air conditioner on, it’s sooo noisy, quality of air coming from the air conditioner, we have decided to leave early and seek accommodation else where for the reminder of our holiday. The cough only happens when I’m in the bedroom, the moment I leave, it stops. - The staff are fabulous, but the quality of the villa for the price is poor. Very disappointed. When I advised reception we were checking out early, they asked why, I mentioned all the above, and all she said was, would you like me to organise someone to look at the air conditioner! I advised no need as we are checking out. Her response- oh ok!

The 1 bed villa has two buildings either side of the private pool, one with bedroom and bathroom, the other with kitchen, living and 2nd bathroom & toilet. All the conveniences you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was made in our kitchen every morning.. amazing! So much room. The staff were lovely. The location is excellent and we really enjoyed all the local restaurants, especially the ones right on the beach. Quick walk through the locked back entry and the market, (both quite dark at night) to get to the beach. So at night we just walked through the new Icon Mall to get to the front of Ajanta. The market area during the day is no problem and some good prices compared to Seminyak. Only minor thing to mention if you haven't been to Bali before, is the bed is quite firm (common in Asia) but you can ask for a mattress topper- no problem. We will definately be back.
