Everything. Very charming. Food, rooms, setting outstanding.

Noise pollution. The hotel is tranquil but in the evening the noise from hotels either side-singers covering old songs-ruins the calm. Especially as you get Niel Diamond on the left and Take That on the right. Apart from that, which is not the hotels fault, everything was superb. I would stay again but go out for dinner somewhere else.

We just loved how traditional the Tandjung Sari was- serenity everywhere and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were exceptionally friendly and provided us with such a relaxing 9 days staying with them. Thank you to every single one of them 10/10

Loved this property - the only negative was the placement of the pool but even that was fine as we had the ocean to swim in.

It is very beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in a village bungalow and it was very private with its own yard and gazebo. The staff are extremely friendly, addressing one by name, remembering it was a return visit.

Mais le vrai plus, c’est l’accueil chaleureux et attentionné de toute l’équipe, en particulier Anny, dont la bienveillance et la gentillesse ont rendu notre séjour encore plus spécial. This is a gem of a hotel. Everything about it is totally incredible. The rooms that we stayed in were better than any hotel room I think I have stayed in before. Huge, beautifully designed. The outside shower the cherry on the cake.

All hotels take note of what this comparatively old & small hotel excels in ( best we have ever stayed at by the way) 1. True, genuine desire by staff to be excellent, friendly, helpful & professional . They are an amazing crew led by heart felt management 2. Cleanliness, despite being 60+ years the rooms, bathrooms, public areas are Immaculate! Best in the world. 3. Food & beverage - well above average, consistently good with variety, taste, enjoyment & feedback /flexibility taken on 100% 4. Location..cannot fault! Perfect. Beach towels soft huge beautiful. No hawkers on their clean beach. For these reasons we return again and again. Sadly for other hotels around the world they can only " hope" to be this great !!!

Where to start - we loved the authentic Balinese style of the hotel, the gardens are beautiful and well kept. The private beach is perfect with the extra touches of a third seat and the method of raising a sign if you need anything. Staff were always happy and could not be more accommodating. We enjoyed watching the dance school practising and their final evening performance on the beach. All the food is delicious, we loved our outside shower and the hats, sarongs and shirts that are available to use during your stay. We popped overnight to Gili T during our stay and the hotel arranged the driver to take us and pick us up the next day - he looked after us very well. We were sad to leave. Overall, if I was fortunate to return to Bali I would stay here again.

We arrived at Tandjung Sari mid afternoon and warmly greeted by reception staff. The check-in process went smoothly, then we shown to our beautiful South Garden Bungalow and explained the layout of the bungalow (room 30). The bungalow is beautiful, large, no stairs, clean and tidy with ceiling fans, AC, large bath, large WIR, king bed and mozzie net, indoor and outdoor showers. It took me several days to realise that there isn’t a TV in the bungalow. I’m sure the bungalow had been recently renovated. Our bungalow was located in a lush garden setting, close to the pool, dining and the beach. We were advised they were completing renovations to the restaurant and all dining has moved to the breakfast dining area which overlooks the beach, great location and does not disappoint. The renovations had no impact on our stay with no noticeable noise or inconvenience. The setting is traditional lush Balinese gardens, walls, statues, bungalows and open air dining which we love. There is easy access to the beach from the property with beach dining, guest beach chairs and the area is kept exceptionally tidy. Separating the property from the beach is a bike path and walkway along the back of the beach. Breakfast is part of the accommodation which we enjoyed, especially the coffees. In-house dining Is very good and popular. Dining prices are slightly higher than outside which is to be expected. Value: I thought our stay was very good value, we wouldn’t normally pay as much as we did but couldn’t resist spoiling ourselves, we are very happy with our choice. Dining nearby: Lots of restaurants, bars and warungs to choose from. Shotgun Social. Warung Happy Monkeys. Soul on the Beach. Shopping nearby: Icon Bali shopping centre (new). Street and beach shops. Massage: There are many massage, spa and wellness centres nearby, Donna Spa across the road is very good. We really enjoyed our stay at Tandjung Sari and wish we could have stayed longer. We will return .

I celebrated my special birthday at the hotel on 4 July, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The team went above and beyond my expectations, and every detail was absolutely perfect. The Balinese theme was beautifully presented, from the stunning decorations to the delicious menu. The entertainment was outstanding, with talented Balinese dancers and an incredible 17-piece traditional Balinese band that created such a wonderful atmosphere. A special thank you to Catering Manager Benny, who was exceptional throughout the planning process. He listened carefully to every request and delivered everything exactly as promised. His professionalism, attention to detail and genuine care made my celebration everything I had hoped for and more. I would also like to sincerely thank Sang Putu Wibawa for the beautiful floral arrangement presented on behalf of the hotel. It was such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The entire team made my birthday truly memorable, and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. In fact, two of my friends have already decided to hold their own functions here after seeing how amazing my celebration was. Thank you for making my special day so perfect!

Traditional Balinese style that has stood the test of time. Absolutely loved our stay and have always wanted to stay there and will again. Loved the outdoor dining room and in particular the lamps.

The umbrellas on the sand would look nicer without paintings on them in my opinion.

Great location on Sanur Beach. Staff are exceptional and make you feel extra special. Rooms clean and spacious. The ambiance of the “real” Bali was heart warming. Food was plentiful and delicious. Up there with the best!

When I came in for walk-in breakfast all beach side tables were taken. I was seated inside the restaurant, spent almost 250,000 on breakfast and asked to move to a beach side table (I wanted a few more coffees, had a cappuccino on order already) but was refused because I was not a hotel guest. I cancelled the cappuccino, paid and left. So in this hotel you are treated as a second rate guest when you walk into their restaurant. Be aware… a real shame because the food is otherwise good.

Jammern auf ganz hohem Niveau - das Brett am Schlüssel war zu groß, kein TV auf dem Zimmer (war für uns kein Problem) und der Pool 2 Grad zu kalt.

Food sometimes not hot enough. Not many lounge chairs available at swimming pool. Bath set up in room very awkward as taps and hand held shower on far side making it hard to reach. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in small pottery jars which didn't flow very well was awkward to use in outside shower and bath. Hot water took a long time to flow through in outside shower. The door from outside shower courtyard to front yard was left open on one occasion. No replacement laundry bag left on one occasion. No room service menus provided prior to requesting.Tap in hand basin didn't seem to have hot water. No face towels provided prior to request.

Im Mai waren wir für eine Woche im Tandjung Sari Hotel. Trotz, dass es eine Hotelanlage war und jeder seinen eigenen Bungalow hatte, hatte man das Gefühl, dass alles super persönlich war. Man wurde mit Namen angesprochen und alle haben sich immer kurz Zeit genommen ein paar Erfahrungen auszutauschen oder einfach über das Leben zu quatschen. Die Unterkünfte waren sehr schön und eher traditionell gehalten. Es waren Unterkünfte wirklich zum Abschalten und runter kommen. Toll war auch der schöne Privatstrand. An diesem waren für die Hotelgäste immer die Plätze freigehalten und es wurde regelmäßig dafür gesorgt, dass der Strand sauber und ordentlich ist. Am Morgen hatte man eine große Auswahl an Frühstück und besonders die frischen Früchte waren jeden Morgen ein Highlight. Wir hatten dort eine wundervolle Zeit und würden das Hotel immer weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful location right on the beach, warm and attentive staff, close to everything but still so peaceful, loved the gym and yoga on the premise and their private beach with restaurant on the sand. Traditional small scale feel but with all the modern comforts. Still felt fresh despite being around for years.

There really isn’t anything to complain about, I would have liked a view from my room but my extra reading room upstairs made up for that.

The staff are the most wonderful, caring and accommodating people. The room was clean spacious and felt very traditional.

Arriving at Tandjung Sari was like stepping into a time capsule. The quality and attention to detail was a cut above other places in Bali. The room was spacious and well appointed, staff were friendly and helpful. I was most impressed by the beautiful gardens, furniture and decor.

I chose this hotel because the location seemed ideal, close to Icon Bali, and the beach looked beautiful and not crowded. This all turned out to be true when we arrived. The hotel has a lovely driveway that leads to the reception, which has a stunning Balinese design. When we arrived, they struck a gong to welcome us as new guests, such a nice touch. Due to renovations, they gave us an upgrade halfway through our stay to a beautiful bungalow, which was truly fantastic. The room was excellent, and housekeeping was very thorough. The restaurant overlooks the boulevard and the beach, which we really enjoyed. For breakfast you can order à la carte and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding, with incredibly friendly staff who quickly got to know us by name. In the evening, we had the rijsttafel, with tables set up on the beach, an amazing setting. The rijsttafel was delicious, and we also really enjoyed the gado gado in the afternoon. The resort is beautifully laid out, set within lush gardens and full of Balinese details. We also loved spending time on the beach. When you arrive, a staff member brings towels and sets you up just the way you like. You can place a sign in your umbrella, and the restaurant staff will come over, top service! The loungers are spaced far apart, giving you plenty of privacy and making it feel very intimate. This resort is highly recommended, and we hope to return again very soon.

The traditional bungalows were lovely, particularly the spacious bathroom with its outdoor shower and the large bathtub. The location is also fantastic, being on the beach and very close to the Bali Icon.

The renovations which we were not informed about. These were taking place directly beside the pool and restaurant area during our stay. On one morning, the noise was so loud that we could barely hear each other while having breakfast.

My annual review of Tandjung Sari, by far the most wonderful place to stay in lovely Sanur, and perhaps all of Bali. This is Bali as it was fifty years ago. It’s elegant, peaceful and epitomises barefoot luxury. The rooms, the restaurant and the beautiful beach are spacious and luxurious. I couldn’t single out a staff member for praise—they are all kind and attentive, and interesting people. breakfast, concerts and the vibe are perfection. Thank you all, you know who you are! We can’t wait to come back. Many thanks to Sang and Avi for presiding over this triumph of elegant traditional hospitality!
