Hotel Nepalaya

I stayed at Hotel Nepalaya for a few nights during my trip to Kathmandu. Based on the price and online reviews, I expected a much better experience. The hotel has a good location, and the staff at reception were friendly and helpful. The restaurant also has a nice view, which was probably the best part of my stay. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. It felt old and not very comfortable. There was no tea or coffee maker, the bathroom looked outdated and was not as clean as I expected, and the air conditioning was noisy while not cooling the room properly. Breakfast was also below average. The selection was limited, and I found the quality disappointing compared to other hotels in a similar price range. The biggest issue was the noise. I barely slept on one of the nights because of guests talking loudly in the corridor, making phone calls, and drinking late into the night. Even after asking about changing rooms, the noise was still a problem. For the amount I paid, I believe there are better hotel options in Kathmandu that offer more comfort and better value. I appreciate the efforts of the staff, but overall my stay was disappointing.

I would not recommend staying at Hotel Nepalaya. The room was not clean, and there was too much noise, making it difficult to relax. The mattress was extremely hard, and I couldn't sleep the whole night. The room amenities were very poor. There was no tea or coffee maker and no complimentary mineral water. There were some bottles of water in the room, but there was no indication whether they were free to drink or chargeable, which was confusing. The breakfast was very limited, with little variety. The only positive parts of my stay were the friendly staff, the helpful reception, and the nice rooftop view. The hotel's central location was also convenient. Overall, the poor room condition, lack of amenities, uncomfortable bed, and disappointing breakfast made this a bad experience. I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.

I was disappointed with my stay at Nepalaya Hotel. The room was very small and had no window, which made it feel dark and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I also found several cockroaches in the room, which was unacceptable. The breakfast was very basic and below my expectations, with very limited options. Overall, the cleanliness and room quality need significant improvement. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.

Fanatic staff - very helpful and considerate. Top quality food and reasonably priced. Rooftop view from the hotel and its dining quarters are spectacular. Offer a panoramic view of Kathmandu.

Hotel Nepalaya is located in a convenient area and has a nice rooftop view. However, I was disappointed with the condition of the room. The furniture and furnishings appeared quite old and in need of renovation. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly, which affected the overall comfort of my stay. The hotel has potential, but improvements in room maintenance and cleanliness would greatly enhance the guest experience.

Das Frühstück ist etwas dürftig

Vsec mi je bila lokacija v starem mestnem jedru. Cenim tudi to, da ima hotel dvigalo.

Dva od osebja sta bila neprijazna, eden od njiju tudi zelo pocasen. Na racun za storitve sem cakal kar 24 ur in sem ga prejel sele po veckratni zahtevi.. Ostalo osebje je bilo v redu.

Everything. Great spotless spacious rooms. Rooftop restaurant -good food and staff. Manager Besus helped me organize lots tours and transfer and for in Pokhara as well. Excellent all and cheap. Great help to me. Saved me!

ホットシャワーが夜でも使えた事。 朝食も無料で付いてくる事。 トレッキング期間中、荷物を無料で預かってくれる事。 タクシーの予約をスムーズに行ってくれた事。 ルーフトップからの景色も良い感じでした。

È stato il nosto primo hotel in Nepal. Ottima l'accoglienza! Personale gentilissimo e disponibile. È stato possibile lasciare il bagaglio più ingombrante per il periodo in cui siamo stati a fare il safari. Al nostro rientro ci hanno riassegnato la stessa camera (la cosa ci ha fatto molto piacere!). Abbiamo preso 2 moto a noleggio e ci hanno permesso di parcheggiarle praticamente all'ingresso dell'hotel. Buona la pulizia e la colazione! Un grazie a tutto il personale 🙏

We had an early checkout and they had us take away. One of the morning shift guy was kind enough to upgrade the room for us.

The water boiler wasn’t working. There was no hot water in the washroom and the tap seems broken. Most of the amenities as described in booking is absent in the room (ex. Tea bags, sugar etc). The price shown in the booking and the price hotel charge had a discrepancy (they usually have much higher exchange rates on selling). Pay at property is not a wise option especially for those who are not travelling with USD rather other currency

Colazione a buffet ottima e varia, mi hanno anche preparato un'abbondante colazione al sacco per una partenza molto anticipata nella mattina. La posizione dell'albergo è nella zona di Thamel, quindi centrale, ma comunque tranquilla. Il personale si merita un encomio particolare, perchè estremamente gentile e simpatico, molto disponibile e pronto a venire incontro a qualsiasi richiesta. Mi sono sentita come a casa. Lo consiglio sicuramente.

Centraal gelegen in Thamel, maar wel op een rustige plek. Fijn rooftop restaurant. Vriendelijk personeel. Basu was attent en had goede informatie over van alles en nog wat. Ook kun je bagage achterlaten als je een trektocht gaat maken

Несколько лет подряд останавливаюсь в этом отеле. Все устраивает: очень удачное расположение в центре Тамеля - все, что требуется путешественнику для отдыха после трека в шаговой доступности, удобные номера, вежливый персонал
