Casa San Agustín is the best hotel in Cartagena. It is hands down my partner’s and my favorite place to stay. Five stars all around. Stay here you will not regret it!!!

One of the most exceptional hotel stays I have experienced. Having stayed at some of the highest rated hotels across the world including many Leading Hotels of the World, I can say without hesitation that this is in the highest tier, and may be the best hotel I have ever stayed at. With respect of the hotel itself, it is absolutely beautiful. Understated luxury at its finest. A beautiful, historic, charming, and truly special place to spend your time in Cartagena. Very romantic but also friendly to families. From the Frette linens, to the Ortigia bath products, everything is truly of the highest quality with incredible attention to detail. The hotel is located in the ideal part of the old town, on a quieter block. We went for a ride on the complimentary bikes as well which is an amazing way to explore the town. The included breakfast at Alma is phenomenal - we unfortunately did not have time to enjoy dinner there, but imagine that the quality is just as impressive. The second floor honour bar with daily complimentary tea time and snacks is a very nice touch. The service however is what makes this hotel truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, Kathrine, Stefani, Jaime, Nelson, Dagmar, Yanelis, Carlos, and the rest of the front desk and staff took care of our every need and more. The service here is truly refined - always one step ahead, anticipating not only what we might need but thinking of ways to make our experience special. Whenever something came up - a question or a request - they went above and beyond. The housekeeping staff - Lili, Diocelin, Milaidis, Juana, Monica, Katia - are also incredible. Our room was always presented in the most beautiful and pristine condition. If I could give this hotel an 11/10, I would! No notes!

This was a beautiful hotel, with excepetional service. The staff went above and beyond with every interaction to make sure I had what I needed. The food was excellent. The room was perfect with a lovely balcony and comfortable bedding.
Exceptional landmark - Greta architecture and many spaces to unwind and enjoy within the property
I think the restaurants could be elevated to new hights / they are very good yet have the potential to become exceptional as the place / more attention and creativity is needed
This is the best ever! I have been traveling it a lot; seen many hotels but this was outstanding beautiful! An experience that we keep in our hearts It made Cartagena even more beautiful I will advise this to anyone to experience this beautiful hotel BIG COMPLIMENTS ; The Team is amazing Breakfast; Felix; Miquel and the rest’ Housekeeping; Yosephine, Ivana ,Katia, Lili, Monica etc! You are amazing! Frontdesk; Top! Carlos Mercado And Brando, Stefani, Dagmar, Jaime, Nelson, Paola, Yanelis, And offcourse Katherine(front desk manager! You are all a winning team’ Thankyou for everything Colombia is in my heart forever! See you next time!
We have stayed at several small luxury boutique hotels and this property really exceeded our expectations. The staff were so kind and helpful at every turn. The property is stunning, and our room was incredibly comfortable. I would highly recommend this stay for your visit to Cartagena!
Excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful and well situated inside the old walled city. The staff are friendly and welcoming, doing everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They are quite helpful in arranging transportation and excursions. The day trip to Acasi is well worth it. We did the private boat option with a tour around the islands and it was amazing. The included breakfast is amazing. Our son still asks for the arepa de huevo. Highly recommended.
A hospedagem é extremamente confortável. Quarto com bom tamanho e lindo. Tudo 5 estrelas

One of the best hotel stays in the world. Excellent food, beautiful suite and the very best staff from the front desk to the housekeeping and the concierge team, and of course the staff at Alma. A special thanks to Amanda and Steffany who were wonderful. We will return.
What a stunning hotel. I cannot recommend enough. Perfectly located, quiet, elegant, with countless personnel touches and an attentive and outstanding crew of staff. The breakfast was beautiful. Go!!
From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is simply perfect, right in the beautiful historic centre. The decoration is elegant, authentic, and full of charm, creating a unique atmosphere throughout the hotel. The comfort of the bed deserves a special mention : it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! What made my stay truly unforgettable, however, was the incredible staff. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. A very special thank you to Estefany, who was an absolute angel throughout my stay. Her kindness, professionalism, and beautiful smile made me feel truly at home. If you're looking for a luxurious, authentic, and unforgettable experience in Cartagena, I couldn't recommend Casa San Agustín more highly. We will definitely be back.
“Wow”, is my one word to describe our experience… beautiful hotel with impeccable service! Estefanny and Jorge really stood out and really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to feel extra special. Alma restaurant for breakfast and Dinner was exquisite! Try their mojitos! Best I ever had and I am Cuban! Almost forgot to mention the beds! You will never want to get out of them… the best!! Just a seamless experience and highly, highly recommended. Cant wait to come back to Cartagena and to Casa San Agustin!
My husband and I spent two nights at Casa San Agustin and we would, without a doubt, recommend this hotel to anyone hoping to spend some magical days and evenings in Cartagena's stunning old city. Everything about the hotel was magical from the building itself, to the stunning spacious rooms, the beautiful and delicious restraurant where we ate breakfast both days. The staff was also so accomodating and lovely. Everyone was wonderful from the front desk (Katherine) to Diojelin, Juana, Katia, Liliana, Stefani, Jamie and Yeim. Thank you for this memorable experience. It was magic.
I can't say enough about my current experience here. From the email I received prior to arriving to coordinate my airport shuttle to arriving with a sign and friendly hostess escorting us to a clean roomy car, my experience began there. Upon arriving and crossing the threshold we were fussed over by Yanelis and Alexandra who truly greeted us and asked if we needed anything before getting our documents to check us in. We were greeted with the most refreshing beverage and quickly undressed in pool attire to take advantage of our first day. Yanelis took care of my entire itinerary at check in with all my desired bookings for my stay to included spa spots private car, boat ride to private beach club, looking for medicine for me you name it the experience here is what a fine hotel and resort on AMEX should be. The room!!! It was immaculate on it lines of a Peninsula hotel (my best in class) the entire boutique property is pristine. Staff in hotel all friendly and plenty od staff to support the hotel. I look forward to my next 3 nights.
Beautiful property and attentive staff in Cartagena Centro. The location is central to everything. The room was large, the pool inviting and the restaurant scrumptious. I would like to particularly compliment the exceptional bar staff, particularly Amanda. We needed some extra help during a medical emergency and the staff was most attentive and helpful. We’re very grateful for their assistance. The concierge also arranged any drivers and tours for us as needed. The entire stay here was wonderful.
If I have to have a complaint, I would say there was sometimes noise from the room above us - walking heavy, moving furniture and dropping something on the floor. However overall, this was a minor issue and did not detract from our enjoyment.
I've stayed at many luxury hotels over the years, and Casa San Agustín is easily one of the finest experiences I've ever had. The experience begins well before you arrive. Airport transportation was arranged flawlessly, making our arrival in Cartagena completely stress-free. As soon as we stepped into the hotel, we were welcomed with warm smiles, refreshing spritzes, and one of the most incredible signature scents I've ever experienced. It instantly creates a sense of calm and relaxation. I loved it so much that I purchased the fragrance from the spa to use in our home, and I'm excited to have something that reminds me of our stay every time I smell it. While the hotel itself is beautiful, it's the people who make Casa San Agustín truly exceptional. Estefany was phenomenal from beginning to end, helping us organize restaurant reservations, transportation, and activities while patiently accommodating changes to our plans. Every recommendation she made was excellent, and we quickly realized we could trust her suggestions completely. We were celebrating my partner's birthday, and the team surprised us with balloons, fresh fruit, and a handwritten note waiting in our room. It was thoughtful, elegant, and perfectly representative of the personalized service we experienced throughout our stay. Dagmar, David, Katherine, Eduardo, and the restaurant team were consistently warm, professional, and genuinely invested in making our trip memorable. One moment that particularly stood out was when Eduardo personally helped us exchange U.S. dollars after we had trouble finding cash. It was completely unexpected and a wonderful example of the level of care the staff provides. One of the highlights of our trip was spending a day at ACASÍ, the hotel's private beach experience. Everything was beautifully organized, Jorge took outstanding care of us, and it ended up being one of our favorite days in Cartagena. We also appreciated having access to the fitness center at Casa Pestagua, the sister property just a short walk away. It was a convenient amenity that made it easy to stay active while enjoying our vacation. What impressed me most wasn't any single luxury amenity—it was how effortlessly the team made every part of our stay feel personal. Every recommendation was spot-on, every interaction felt sincere, and every detail was handled with care. Casa San Agustín strikes the perfect balance between intimate luxury, authentic Colombian hospitality, and impeccable service. It isn't simply a beautiful hotel; it's the kind of place that becomes part of the memories you make while traveling. Thank you to Estefany, Dagmar, Eduardo, David, Katherine, Jorge, and the entire Casa San Agustín team. We left Cartagena already planning our return, and I truly can't imagine staying anywhere else!
I chose Casa San Agustín for a birthday trip to Cartagena, and the experience exceeded every expectation. What distinguished the hotel was not simply its beauty, but the extraordinary consistency of the service and the genuine care shown by the entire team. The experience began well before our arrival. Estefany patiently assisted us with restaurant reservations, transportation, and the planning of several activities. We made changes throughout the process, asked for recommendations, and adjusted our itinerary as the trip evolved. She remained responsive, gracious, and committed to helping us make the most of every day. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing spritz that was so delicious we continued enjoying it throughout our stay. Our room had been prepared with a beautiful fruit presentation, birthday balloons, and a handwritten note from the staff. These touches were elegant and thoughtful without ever feeling impersonal or overly staged. Katherine welcomed us with exceptional warmth that first morning and continued to take fabulous care of us. The breakfast team was equally impressive: polished, attentive, cordial, and consistently professional. Dagmar and David were also wonderful and made sure we always felt supported during our stay. Eduardo deserves special recognition. During a particularly stressful moment when I was unable to figure out how to obtain cash, he personally stepped in and helped me exchange the dollars I had with me. It was an incredibly generous gesture and a perfect example of hospitality that goes far beyond standard service. Our private island experience at ACASÍ was another highlight. Jorge took excellent care of us and made the entire day feel effortless and personal. For anyone visiting Cartagena, I would sincerely recommend allowing the Casa San Agustín team to help curate the experience. They listen carefully, understand the kind of trip you are trying to create, and provide recommendations that genuinely suit you rather than simply directing you toward the most obvious options. I have traveled extensively and work in the hospitality industry, so I pay close attention to service, presentation, and operational detail. Casa San Agustín demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism while still feeling warm, intimate, and human. My deepest thanks to Dagmar, Eduardo, David, Katherine, Estefany, Jorge, and the entire team. You treated my birthday celebration with the utmost care and made our time in Cartagena truly wonderful.
La atención fue lo mejor, el personal muy amable.
Los cuartos muy amplios pero les faltaba espacio para guardar, sobretodo no había espacio en los baños.
July 2026 Casa San Augustin consistently appears at the top of the list of hotels in which to stay in Cartagena's (Colombia) Walled City and it did not disappoint. My partner and sought a not-too-distant escape from the US' 250th independence day holiday and settled on Cartagena for its mix of largely intact Spanish colonial architecture and its place in the historical record of new world colonialism. What stands out most from our 5 night stay is the friendliness and competence of the entire staff including Katherine, Andrew, Kevin, Emerson, Lizardo, Diemer, Estefanny, Jaime, Paola, Amanda, and Dagmar. I've probably missed a few names, and apologies to those I did not recall. Secondly, Alma, the hotel's main restaurant Alma and its bar both offer excellent food and beverages at all times of day. Do not miss the flavorful breakfasts, particularly the bevy of seasonal tropical fruits which I rarely find in my homes of New York City, NY and Hudson, NY. Our Deluxe room was comfortable and enough space for a couple. Be sure to visit the pool at nearby sister hotel Casa Pestagua for an alternative to the pool at San Augustin. Sister property Acasi in Baru is a pleasant day trip but it was a bit too rustic for our taste considering the service we became accustomed to at the hotel. Acasi's Luis and Jorge's warmth matched that of their colleagues at San Augustin. If I had to nit-pick it would be that the bathroom was too humid such that my towels never dried sufficiently for their next use. The staff made the property (which has an absolutely magical pool and outdoor area) and stay MAGICAL!!! Highly recommended as of July 2026.
The property is simply amazing. Everything was perfect
There was nothing I disliked. Everything was perfect
Beautiful period property, amazing location, luxurious rooms, extremely helpful, thoughtful, lnowledgeable staff
Nothing, it was all fantastic
Great centric location, calm atmosphere, incredible room and excellent service from everyone. Food/breakfast included was amazing. Thank you Eduardo, Lizardo, and every one how made this experience memorable. Luis and I are very grateful.
The hotel is just lovely , small boutique hotel great personal service. Always helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful stay. We would definitely highly recommend this hotel.
Absolutely stunning hotel with the most delightful service in the most perfect location. I travel over 300 days a year and absolutely loved every bit of the gem of a hotel. And huge thank you to Katherine who saved me. I somehow had the wrong day written down for my Celele reservation (which books up months in advance) and missed it. She was able to call the restaurant and pull some favors to get me in on my last day in town. It was phenomenal and I so appreciate her going above and beyond to help me! Thank you Casa San Agustin!
This is a gorgeous hotel, a true oasis in the middle of Cartagenas centro histórico. Beautiful rooms and pool, delicious food, and incredible service.
This was our first time to Casa San Agustin and to Cartagena. We were in absolute awe of the property and the service. The hotel is centrally located but feels like you are stepping into an oasis of calm in the middle of the hustle. Top recommendation for those visiting Cartagena and want to stay in the middle of the Old City in a refined and luxury establishment. Special thanks to Yanelis who was particularly attentive and helped us book a private boat tour and arranged my husband’s birthday. Five stars all around.
If I had to pick hard, the pool was a bit small - not really designed for serious sunbathing. But we didn’t pick the hotel for the pool; we picked it for luxury and location - both of which met (and exceeded) our standards.
Wonderful, enchanted hotel.
An amazing hotel right in the middle of the old town. The team are truly amazing and do everything they can to ensure your stay is perfect. The food in the restaurant is excellent, the cocktails are great and the pool is so refreshing. The spa is lovely.
A stunning property with incredible service! Highly recommend.
What an incredible stay from start to finish! This property is absolutely fabulous — beautifully maintained, welcoming, and truly luxurious in every detail. The staff went above and beyond to make every moment special; everyone was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality. The food was outstanding — every meal was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. From breakfast to dinner, the dining experience exceeded expectations. The service throughout the entire stay was flawless: prompt, thoughtful, and perfectly executed without ever feeling intrusive. This was the perfect combination of comfort, elegance, and world-class hospitality. I left already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience! Esteffany, Andrew, Jorge (Kioko), Miguel, Deimler, Catherine the front desk manager!
From the moment of booking until I walked out the door, everything at Casa San Agustin was perfect. The pleasant tour of the property, the quiet library space, the pool, the room, the restaurant. Everyone was kind and welcoming, the accommodations were excellent, clean, and comfortable. The location was ideal for all that Centro has to offer, quick and easy to/from the airport, and is a refuge from the heat and excitement of the city. Very much a nostalgic atmosphere in the best possible way, the kind of hotel you might read about in a novel. Best value for money and the only place I will stay in Cartagena in the future.
This hotel was phenomenal . From the beautiful 200 year old historic building with the view of the iconic university of Cartagena. The service was impeccable . They gave us a later check out . Staff were extremely nice . The hotel was beautiful it had an inner courtyard with a splendid dreamlike pool with tall palms all around . Our room was on the third floor and they were perfect . The bedding was extremely nice . The shower products were to an extremely high quality and very good . The rooms were beautiful and had an amazing view of the historical center of Cartagena . The breakfast was phenomenal . The food was extremely yummy and the outdoor setting of the breakfast place was dreamy.
Our room was quiet and luxurious and the hotel common areas were beautiful, with much historical character. But it is the people, from Paola and Stephanie at reception to the bell staff and the wonderful friendly servers at breakfast, that make a stay truly memorable.
The service far exceeded our expectations.
This place has unbelievably good service. Paolo, the concierge is very friendly and helpful. In the restaurant, they remembered the type of coffee we like for breakfast. When I returned from a run in the 85 degree heat they brought out a tray with a face cloth and poured scented ice water over it for me, and gave me a bottle of cold water. Quite a decadent surprise! They have a pillow menu. The place really pays attention to details.
Excellent service throughout the hotel. Great location in walled city within walking distance of numerous rooftop restaurants and historical sites. The hotel’s Acasi beach was a highlight
A lovely experience that every person should live when in Cartagena. The breakfast is a dream with excellent staff that are very warm. The location is top notch within the old town and its a very charming location.
Our stay in Casa San Agustin was amazing. The service was top class, comparable to the best hotels in the world. From the people at the concierge such as Yanelis and the whole staff, to the people in the restaurant like Miguel which served us lunch, they were very hospitable, nice, and welcoming. The hotel's food, rooms, and location were also 10/10. I hope to stay there again.
Exceptional … a wonderful sanctuary on the city. Amazing service and a beautiful hotel … excellent service from Yanelis
Best place is Cartagena thank you for an incredible stay again. As a returned customer I will not stay anywhere else. Thank you Estefany, Dagmar, Alex, Jorge and the whole staff. We will be back hopefully soon!
Our recent stay in Cartagena’s beautiful Hotel Casa San Augustin was outstanding. The service was top notch and personified by such staff members as Yangelis. The restaurant was also superb, and the ambience of the place generally was unforgettable.
Possibly the best hotel I have ever experienced. The hotel is gorgeous. The Alma restaurant is fabulous. But it is the staff that puts this hotel over the top. Friendly, efficient and sincere.
Everything was perfect, all the staff make a very big effort. Yenni, Yanelis, Paola, Estefany, and all the staff at the restaurant, all very professional.
There are certain hotels that feel like destinations in their own right, and Hotel Casa San Agustín is undoubtedly one of them. The property’s rich history is woven into every detail, from its uniquely designed rooms to the maze-like layout that invites you to wander and discover something beautiful around every corner. The courtyard and pool area alone are breathtaking. The culinary experience is equally exceptional. Breakfast, included with the stay, is truly outstanding, and the coconut dessert at dinner is not to be missed. Two experiences stand out as absolute musts: the spa, where I had one of the best massages of my life, and the opportunity to spend time at the Acasí property. Having what felt like a private beach for 24 hours was nothing short of magical. What truly elevates this hotel, however, are the thoughtful touches and the people. From nightly homemade treats and rotating breads at breakfast to small gestures like shopping cards, every detail feels intentional. The front desk team, Andrew, Yanelis, Katherine, and Jaime, were consistently attentive and welcoming. A particularly special thank you goes to Yeinty, who took care of us each morning at breakfast. Her warmth made us feel less like guests and more like friends. Thank you to the entire Hotel Casa San Agustín. We will be back soon!
Perfect! This is a perfect hotel. Accommodations, Service,.food, vibe, views, location....having stayed in many Four Seasons, Casa St Augustin is the Four Seasons buster. Much more romantic and enduring. .special thanks to Jaime and Yanelis
Hotel Casa San Agustín is the perfect couples’ getaway at the best location at Cartagena’s old town. The building is a beautiful colonial house with all the amenities and attentive and personalized service of a top hotel. The food was creative and perfectly represents Cartagena and Colombian’s culture. If you are looking for a romantic experience in a charming and historic city, this is the place!
We stayed in the Prestige suite which was very nice. Everyone was very nice from concierge, front desk to bell boys!! We had asked our laundry to be done. They made sure that to get to a place that is very affordable and made the process so nice and simple. Breakfast was delicious daily. They accomadated us with our vegetarian diets very well. It is a small boutique hotel with fantastic location and great staff!!
This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff is exceptional, the rooms very large, especially by Cartagena standards, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The welcome drink was delicious as well! The scent that they use in the rooms is particularly tasteful as well.
This property is ideally located in the heart of the walled city, so it's a great base to explore the city. Once you enter the gates, it's a quiet, comfortable refuge from the busy streets of the Old Town. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable. Although the rooms are decorated in a colonial style, every modern convenience is included. The service is among the best I've encountered anywhere in the world. The entire staff is genuinely excited to host you. Amanda, one of the bartenders is an example of this. She took great pride in hosting us and sharing her knowledge of Colombia and the locally produced spirits. We had a very enjoyable stay and will be back again...this was our second stay at this property.
Front Desk: Andrew at the front desk is incredibly helpful and informative! He helped us organize an amazing boat day to the Rosario Islands. Room: We had a room with private plunge pool. The room was small but lovely. We slept very well. The private pool was nice to come back to each day although there is no real sun there to experience due to the high walls. Food: The food at the Alma restaurant on site is fair but the drinks and bartenders are exceptional. The breakfast food is far better than the meals at dinner. We loved the restaurant Mar y Zielo. Cande was so fun! Great music, dancers and awesome food. Don Diablo/Carmen restaurant was fair. Not as good as Carmen Medellin. The restaurant at their sister hotel was great for lunch! Location: The location in the center of the walled city is perfect. We did both suggested walks early in the day before the heat took hold. They offer bikes but we did not take advantage. The pool area is small. The area around the hotel has great shops and is very safe. Note that you may be offered cocaine by a variety of code names many times by people on the street.
Luxury bottled up in a beautiful hotel experience in the middle of the cultural epicenter of Cartagena. The artistic design of the common spaces and rooms were stunning, and worth every penny. There was not one detail excluded from this experience and the service anticipated every need and want we had. We travel a lot and this hotel tops our list for the perfect mix of luxury and culture. Shoutout to the amazing staff: Andrew, Jamie, Camarerce, Paola, Stefani, Katherine, Nelson, Tomas, Dagmor, Diocelin, Mileiolis, Lenin, Yanelis. I’m sure we’re missing some names but the staff was one team and everyone made our experience so special. We will absolutely be back!
Casa San Agustin is an absolute gem in Cartagena. Every detail of the hotel is thoughtful and intentional. It is beautifully maintained, and the architecture and historic aspects to the hotel itself are breathtaking. Our room was beautifully appointed, with lovely furnishings, comfortable beds, and Modern updates. The service at the hotel was second to none. Our concierge, Paola, took care of our every need, including dining reservations, city tour, and making sure we had just the right room for our family. We dined at the Alma restaurant, which was beautiful, delicious, and the waitstaff were some of the most wonderful we’ve ever encountered. They greeted us with warm, smiles and made us feel so special. They also attended to our every need and remembered our favorite things each day. Just cannot say enough about what an asset that they are to your organization. If we ever return to Cartagena, we will surely look no further than the Casa San Agustín! Thank you for making our stay so special!
10 Star service!!!!! The concierge team Yanelis, Katherine, Paola and Andrew were Amazing. They made my friends and I feel like VIPs without fail. They were accommodating of our endless requests for places to go, reservations, and pivoting plans as we learned that in Colombia 🇨🇴 you need to take your time and enjoy the moments in front of you. I will most definitely stay here again🫶
Fees like a second home. An amazing place with incredible service and staff
Property is truly amazing, very nice and authentic interior decoration, attention to details, but what made our stay truly special was the staff - extremely kind and attentive, went beyond to fulfill all our request in a timely manner, many thanks to Catherine, Dagmar and all the team! Breakfast team and F&B team also exceptional, made us feel very special! Highly recommended and would return anytime to the same hotel
Absolutely incredible stay. We were blown away by how beautiful every part of the hotel was, especially the pool and our room. The staff is so kind and attentive. We really didn’t want to leave!
his was our first time in Cartagena, and I am so glad we chose Casa San Agustín for our stay. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt special. We were checked in by Andrew and welcomed with beverages and cool towels, which made for a wonderful start to our stay. After check-in, we were given a tour of the property, informed of the available services and escorted to our room, where our bags were already waiting. The hotel is beautiful and full of history and charm, yet everything feels modern, upscale and thoughtfully maintained. Its location in the Walled City was incredibly convenient for exploring shops, dining and nearby sights, but at the same time the hotel still felt peaceful and tucked away. With only 30-plus rooms, it felt intimate and personal — more like a private retreat than a traditional hotel. Our room was excellent, and the terrace was absolutely a standout feature that we really enjoyed. Once we settled in, we took advantage of the spa and later had a fabulous dinner at Alma. Dining outside under the stars while listening to a lovely four-piece band made for a truly memorable evening, and it ended up being one of the best meals of our trip. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. My wife even asked for something that was not on the menu, and the team was happy to accommodate her, which said a lot about their approach to service and hospitality. Andrew and the entire team made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The personalized service was exceptional and played a big part in making the experience so memorable. If we return to Cartagena, this would without question be the one and only place we would stay. Highly recommended.
Incredible service and experience. We loved our stay and was blown away by the hospitality. We loved our stay!
Casa San Agustin is special. The room was beautiful, the pool was gorgeous — one of those spaces you don’t want to leave. But what sets this place apart is the design. Thoughtful, collected, unique. Not a hotel that feels designed — one that feels curated. The trees, the pottery, the details everywhere. The service was exceptional across the board. A few people worth naming: Paola, Estefany, and Yanellis at the front made us feel taken care of from the moment we arrived — Yanellis in particular handled every reservation without a hitch. Orlando at breakfast was warm and attentive every morning. Amanda at the pool kept things flowing perfectly. And Jaime — our porter — was always there to help. The food at Alma was exquisite. Breakfast alone is worth it — fresh fruits, fresh juices, great eggs, great avocado. Dinner outside with the live band was a chef’s kiss moment. The hotel also arranged our trip to Acasi Beach — their beach, about 40 minutes by speedboat. Relaxing, beautiful, seamless. If you’re going to Cartagena, stay here. And if we go back, we will.
Absolutely incredible. Most gorgeous boutique hotel right at the heart of the best of Cartagena. I felt like I was transported to another world. Beautiful architecture and design with raw stone and wood elements surrounded by thriving plants. Service was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel down to the smallest details. Should be 5 star and highly, highly recommend
I stayed here for a short week with my family. The hotel is located in a beautiful historic building in the historic part of Cartagena. We had 0 complaints. The staff at the hotel is likely the best part as they go above and beyond to satisfy all your needs, they were perfect. The room was very clean, very spacious and very clean, as you would expect in this type of hotel. The breakfast is à la carte which is not our favorite as we prefer buffets but again quality and selection were perfect. If we visit Cartagena again, for sure we will stay again at this 5 star boutique hotel. We also had dinner at the hotel testaurant Alma, and in the same spirit of excellence at the hotel Alma was very enjoyable.
A beautiful location with friendly helpful staff. Elegant interior with various public and private spots to relax. However, I felt they were disingenuous about restaurant reviews. They give their top 5 places (with glowing descriptions), but two of them are the hotel restaurant and at their sister hotel (!). They even have the exact same menu, and are not as good as the others available. The breakfast (included) is delicious but takes a very long time to arrive. They need more cooks and/or a bigger kitchen. Eggs arrived cold, after half an hour waiting. Lastly, I am used to tipping at the end of some cruises, but never before being asked at a luxury hotel. A tip of CAD300 was requested for a three night stay. Inapproriate in my view. Management should address these issues wihich drag the facility down the facility from 5 to 3 stars.
Most incredible hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life, and I have traveled to a lot of places. I can’t say enough about the staff, the attention to detail, the service, the architecture, the FOOD. Estefany at the front desk took amazing care of us and they were there for anything we needed. I also had a lovely facial at the Aurem spa and incredible food at the Alma hotel on the property. The hotel is built of basically three 17th century colonial mansions, so it has a super unique feel. They’ve preserved much of the original architecture and everything - I was honestly blown away by every detail. The pool is beautiful too. I went with a good friend of mine but it also seemed great for families, couples etc. love love love!!
The exquisitely beautiful Casa San Agustin was our home for three days in Cartagena. We have the personalized calling cards to prove it 😊. The outstanding ambience was exceeded by outstanding staff - indeed a true asset for this Hotel. Dagmar personified concierge experience for us—from our gorgeous, unique room, to the special touches to help celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. She seemed to know everyone in the whole city and for her no request was too big or too small. Breakfast and lunches were delicious and special shout out to Lizardo, Felix and the entire team. Special mentions also of Katherine and Stephanie at the front desk and Lenin who was always there to welcome us with a bottle of water after a walk in the sunshine. We will look forward to returning to our “home” in Cartagena.
La construcción y el restaurante.
It was wonderful! The staff is incredible, food, service, and accommodations too. Felt very taken care of and everyone was so warm & welcoming. Rooms were great, showers had incredible water pressure. Little touches like turn down service, welcome drinks, daily tea, all enjoyable. A few notable staff, Felix, Yanelis, Doris and honestly everyone we came across, so lovely and hospitable. Perfectly located to everything. Felt safe the entire time and easy to get around. Daily breakfast is wonderful too.
A beautiful place with excellent staff and gorgeous rooms. Food in the restaurant was amazing too
Nothing to be honest
Casa San Augustin is a magical little oasis in the middle of the charming Old City of Cartagena. It’s a gem of a hotel with a very friendly and attentive staff, including Katherine, Andreij, Lennin and Stefani, who took care of us so well. Because of its great location we walked everywhere - to restaurants and shops, street fairs and cathedrals. We recommend Casa San Augustin to anyone needing an elegant and personal touch.
Terrific location in old time Cartagena, a few minutes walk to the historic wall for sunsets, all the churches and little parks and the waterfront for boats to the islands. San Augustin hotel embodies stunning historic architecture and decor with very modern amenities - solid AC, rooms large and comfortable bed. The pool is a welcome respite from the heat of the city. There’s a rooftop for stargazing and several areas for just hanging out. The food is really outstanding served in a restaurant with both a courtyard area to enjoy excellent live music most nights or indoors. There’s a dish called coco woods ceviche that we ordered every time we ate here and now I’m spoiled forever. It combines fresh seafood in coconut milk and fresh pieces of coconut. People are friendly all over Colombia and Cartagena specifically and the staff here really take it to the next level.
Absolutely wonderful from beginning to end - from Paola’s welcome at check-in to Andrew’s assistance when we left. Casa San Agustin is perfectly located, close to the city wall, historic sites, dining and shopping. In the evenings, we enjoyed acoustic music with dinner at their Michelin-starred restaurant, and the accommodations were gracious and refined without being at all stiltedly posh. Incredibly romantic! We were sorry to leave and look forward to a return. Go!
Tesis çok güzel, çalışanlar ilgili ve kahvaltısı lezetli.
We had the loveliest stay at Casa San Agustin! I truly cannot recommend it enough. The service was attentive without being overwhelming, the property was beautiful and relaxing, the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, and the breakfast was a delicious way to start our day each morning. If you order in-room dining, I highly recommend the banana bread. We also got to enjoy Acasi Rustic Beach and had a beautiful time there as well. It is certainly rustic but you are given every comfort to enjoy your time, including tasty cocktails and incredibly fresh fish. We adored our time at Casa San Agustin and are grateful to the staff for making our trip so special.
We had a truly delightful stay at this hotel. The service was exceptional throughout, and the staff were consistently courteous, professional, and attentive. The reception team, in particular, were remarkably helpful and ensured that everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. The restaurant and bar were equally impressive — the food was excellent, the cocktails superb, and the atmosphere both elegant and welcoming. The location is also ideal: conveniently close to everything, yet peaceful and comfortable.
The property and the staff were absolutely amazing! I will definitely stay here again!
I simply loved this Hotel the best decoration room colonial style !!! Best ambience and the best service the food and restaurant facilities are amazing!!!
Amazing experience. Thank you Amanda, Kevin, Andrew and Catherine l. ❤️
Sublime room and friendly service, good bar and superb breakfast
The room servicing was somewhat less than the service in the rest of the hotel
If you are planning a trip to Cartagena Columbia I hope you select Hotel Casa San Augustin. This gem of a hotel feels more like a private residence within the walled city. Service - excellent; Rooms large and lovely and resturant and bar top notch. All centrally located to all your vacation needs. The best !!
Lovely hotel in a great location… have stayed many times… Andrew & Catherine are great at check in
We had the most incredible stay at Casa San Agustin. From the impeccable service to the thoughtful, personalized touches throughout our visit, every detail was handled with care. The turndown service was such a special touch, and the pool and architecture of the property are absolutely stunning, effortlessly blending charm and elegance. The cocktails and food were phenomenal, and the level of service truly sets this place apart. It’s one of those experiences we’ll look back on forever. Thank you to Andrew, Katherine, Daymar, Elia, David, and Sannora! We couldn’t recommend it more. If you’re considering staying there, do it. You won’t regret it.
