Provider-sourced guest reviews.
close to train station? carefour, restaurants, cathedral, canal, les Halles. totally pleased with everthing. staff very accomdating!
For a 4 star i would suggest maintenance be completed on door to first floor rooms - it has been hacked open fir some reason and never fixed - no excuse. Not very diligent in keeping breakfast food stocked. Bed pillows are very big, square and hard.
grande chambre confortable.
Rooms were large and comfortable with very good aircon, great location with shops, bars and bakeries nearby Rooms had a small kitchenette with hob, fridge, kettle etc which was very handy! Staff were friendly and helpful Only complaint was I drank the tap water twice and felt really sick, and it left a terrible smell in my water bottle, so would assume it’s not drinkable but it wasn’t signposted Overall would recommend!
Excellent little pristine studio, very central to the historic zone, canal walks/trips and train station. Also the buses to the various beaches leave from right outside the door. So location cannot be bettered. The staff are lovely, friendly & professional and gave us the quiet room I’d requested for our 4 days - thank you, much appreciated! The kitchenette was small but well equipped for self catering, very comfy beds, good sound proofing and A/C so it ticked all my “essential” boxes & would definitely return.when in Narbonne.
It started with the check-in lady who was quite unpleasant, followed by zero room service for four days. No new toilet paper no fresh towels nothing. We got a little bit of sand on the floor and had no way of getting rid of it.
We stayed here for 1 night before heading to a wedding. Good location for shopping and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful
The receptionist was kind and very informative, he would let us check in early.
all fine, great brekky
Friendly reception, easy to check in and out, close to town, nice breakfast
Extremely well located in downtown (centreville). Once you park the car on a dedicated garage at a extremely reasonable daily price (compared to the crazy US prices), you don’t touch it again until you are ready to leave the town. Staff is amazingly friendly.
Worse Hotel Ever - they turn OFF HEAT AND HOT WATER-AFTER YOU CHECK IN to save money. You come back to room and its OFF & they wont turn it back on for rest of stay. Blood on sheets. Dirty dishes in cabinet. No soap - who needs soap without hot water? How about that heat or none in 7c? And IF you complain they screw with your key access and you get to sleep outside. I don't know who in the world gives this a good review -search reviews. Please don't waste their time responding with excuses - really LIES. I hope this REAL REVIEW FOR THIS HMM HOTEL - Saves someone from sleeping in doorway they screw with your room access. You have been warned
Not luxurious, but has everything needed for a good stay. Very well located for visiting the old city -just a 10 minute walk away, and with a free city shuttle from the door every 10 minutes. Room was quiet and bed comfortable.
Helpful staff. clean property with kitchenette. Free weekend parking on the street and the location is across the street from the court house and down the road from the police so incredibly safe.
Very nice stay, third time at Zenitude Narbonne. Staff friendly and welcoming, spacious clean room, quiet even though facing main road, with convenient small kitchenette and good shower/toilet. We like the location, close to city centre and train station, next to bus stop for day trips, plenty of convenience stores and eating/drinking and ice cream places. Really like our stay at Zenitude Narbonne every summer.
Property is very well. Staff members are friendly and check in is easy and fast. Located in a weird neighborhood, street parking is available with a fee or free if you circle around.
This is a wonderful budget option right in the center of Narbonne. It is not a luxury hotel but for a budget option, it is very reasonably priced and spotless. Parking was easy and priced at ten Euros extra a night.
It's a modest, inexpensive hotel in a lovely, historic city near the sea; a city that seems to attracted a lot of prosperous retired people. The hotel is within the historic district, and thus is just a pleasant walk from the cathedral and the roman bridge.
An unassuming hotel about ten minutes walk from the cathedral and the canal. There’s secure parking at the hotel but it’s limited and the streets around don’t offer many safe places to park. The hotel itself is fine, bedrooms are clean and comfortable and only real complaint was very expensive breakfast.
Apartment was basic but very nice and clean. Good location and good parking.
Made reservation for this property at 9:40pm local time in France got to property at 10:20pm hotel was closed, when around thinking I was in the wrong place.. till finally a guest came over to let me know they closed at 9:30pm…
Propre, bien situé, staff accueillant et aidant. Petit appartement plus qu’une chambre d’hotel, vraiment bien pour le prix
Best place to stay in Narbonne for me, walking distance to the train station of Narbonne.
For the type of hotel, it was great. Short walk to center of town, or the train station. Hotel was clean and all was good - small kitchen in case you want to have some food in room, use of refrigerator is great.
Our room smelled heavily of smoke and reception gave us a new room immediately.
Well located
Convenient location for walking to the major attractions. Basic hotel.
Have had bad experiences booking hotels in France but we were very happy with our accommodation. Small kitchen, fridge and a tiny dishwasher! Could have been a bit cleaner, just needed floors sweeping. Close enough to walk to train station and eating shopping areas. Overall very good.
Staff were incroyables!
Excellent loaction near town center with good staff and real AC. Would definitely come back.
Good location. Helpful staff. On site parking available. Facilities in room good
Great location, free street parking on week ends
I really liked Zenitude Narbonne and would recommend it. It's about 10 minutes walk from the SNCF rail station and the main square and Cathedral. The property is modern, comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The staff at reception were very friendly and attentive. I would stay here again if I come back to Narbonne. Thank you!
Did not Exocet it was like an apartment. Prefer hotels with bar a d restaurant
The room is good size and the hotel is in a good location with easy access to city center and the train station. The staff were great, Very friendly and accommodating. The hot water in the room wasn’t enough. I need to wait for it to recharge. The breakfast was not good with only few options.
Safe place for bicycles. Also able to wash them!
Great location- easily walkable distance to everything we wanted to see. Great apartment with kitchenette and a heated towel rail. Very spacious. Even had a laundry in the basement.
Hotel was lovely, parking was safe but limited and first come first served basis.
Excellent location and room condition. Much sought after fresh, clean environment in the August heat. Spacious room and ensuite, strong shower, heated towel rack to dry clothes and small kitchenette to cook a small dinner. Walking distance to centre location and train station. Visited Bezier during stay here which was also great.
The short 10 min walk from the train station was very convenient. Not many restaurant choices, and the hotel reception was not very friendly or informative. It was pretty clean though, and we slept well.
The hotel was in a good area for the centre, but the room was dirty, so not good value for money, it was not cheap
Excellent competent friendly staff went out of their way to be helpful
Good Pleasant Nice place in Narbonne Will go back there
I asked for one further pillow per bed and when the receptionist presented them to me, they looked kind of wrinkled and I asked 'are they clean?' to which the receptionist said 'no!'. I just looked at her. and then she said 'of course they're clean!' I was taken aback by this. Didn't like her attitude.
San efficiently run place, no complaints. Access worked well out of hours.
It eas our 2nd stay this year and again all was perfect.
Good location and ideal with on site parking although at a cost.
Clean , comfortable , quiet room. Good breakfast with a variety of choice. The garage has a storage room for cycles. Reasonably central.
Overall cleanliness of the room was marginal at best. 4 star rated room with a filthy Bed Bug Stained Mattress and Bed Bug Stained Mattress Cover. How is that possible? There’s no 24 hour reception, after 2200hrs you are on your own. You’ve been forwarned.
Location good and parking available on site. Breakfast advertised at €9 but charged €11. Not worth it. Air conditioning is fixed at set temperature so not adjustable and was far too hot at night time. When questioned staff said nothing they could do and temperature would remain set at 24 degrees. Specifically picked this hotel for parking and air con but only supplied with one of these as the version of aircon available is not air conditioning! 😰
Hotel location is very good and price was good. The hotel is very simply, they even ask you to take out your rubbish. AC is not a proper air conditioning unit; it was set to 24 degrees and you couldn't change it.
Amazing
Central location within easy walk of town. Room was basic but clean. However, bed was very hard and made a lot of noise each time we moved. Towels were very thin and needed to be replaced.
Two Smale bads. Breakfast is poor.place is clean land organized . Very difcult to find parking in the area.
Very clean and spacious, very useful little kitchen.
Every thing was good and clean the staff was extremely nice to the people
Great location but disappointing room. Not really an apartment. No comfy chairs or sofa to sit on, no room in kitchen area to prepare food, We expected a balcony from information on the website but only had a small window. Good bathroom facilities, Staff helpful and friendly.
Gorgeous hotel
Great stay, good location!
Two small single beds pushed together do not make a double. Every time I moved in the night I rolled into the crack in the middle. I hardly slept and now have a very bad back needing a chiropractic treatment. I could hear others having the same difficulties because the beds were extremely creaky. This would be my only complaint but an important one.
Our room on the second floor was spacious and spotlessly clean with a very large bathroom and a small but fully equipped kitchenette. The free WiFi was excellent too. The staff were friendly and helpful and let us leave all our luggage in a secure place from our arrival in Narbonne at 10am on Saturday morning (booking in was from 3pm). The only downside was that I had asked for two single beds and we were given a room where they had been made up as a double bed. When we asked for two single beds the receptionist was very apologetic but unable to supply two single duvets. He did manage to find two single sheets and so we separated the beds and made do. The beds were rather soft and creaky but we still slept well after a very enjoyable day exploring Narbonne.
Room smelt of smoke/ blocked drains. Found ash in some of the coffee mugs. Room key deactivated on first night and there are no staff on-site, so we had to wait 30 mins for someone to help us. You also have to pay additional fee for parking.
Excellent location close to train station and center near to all shops, canal and restaurants. The corridor carpets were tierd and stained BUT were getting renewed in places so you can see they are changing. The room when we opened the door it smelt so clean and it was clean and laundered bedding, small but equipped kitchenette great stopover hotel for us .
Great location, on street parking nearby in early January. Very helpful reception staff comfortable room with good facilities for 1 night
Easy walk to old town centre, reasonably close to rail station, quiet comfortable room.
Room was small (to be expected in France, though I saw much larger rooms in the hotel). Kitchen was not very well equipped (I think they had 2 knives).
Convenient location near station and town centre. Efficient, friendly staff. Very clean room and adequate facilities.
The hallways were dingy, the carpet atrocias. The pleasant surprise was the room, mini kitchen w/ necessities. nice bathroom and a good bed (double bed actually 2 twins pushed together). Upper floors are better 1st floor is dark.
We checked in to this hotel and left within 30 mins having used their wifi to locate another one. It was horrendous - filthy dirty and on a very busy, dodgy road. Do not stay here!!!
Spacious room, central location, friendly staff and great value.
It was a good self-contained room of adequate size for 2 people - described as an apartment hotel. Although the hotel was fully booked, it was quiet. The staff at reception were fair in terms of customer service skills, mostly young but lacking dynamism and enthusiasm, merely present to cover the desk. The area around the lavatory smelled of urine, which we pointed out to the mature and pleasant female receptionist at check out - who fairly pointed out that we should have reported it; yes she was right. Reception were open until around midnight which surprised us as we heard conflicting stories of this and were dreading being late for check in which we estimated for 8pm. Good location and would recommend this despite my negative feedback in places.
Good, clean room with good equipment, (kettle, fridge, even dishwasher, and some detergent provided) but guests are required to remove their own bag of rubbish - in the parking area, even if they have no car! Also, the room was not serviced at all (towels not changed, toilet paper not replenished, etc) during my three night stay, despite Expedia saying that it would happen once. So very good, but............ . Very convenient for Narbonne centre
We had a very comfortable stay. Beware of your time of arrival: make sure to contact the hotel if you get here after 8p.m., since the staff leaves, and the front door is locked. They will give you the code to unlock it and access your room key.
Location is close to city centre and easy to park on the street (free 12-2pm, after 7pm and Sundays). The rooms are well equipped and comfortable but we had mixed feelings on the standards. Our second night was a last minute seperate reservation so we had to change rooms which was understandable. The second room however was missing the shower door and kettle. Overall it was not a huge problem and the staff were lovely but there was some room for improvement.
Only one saucepan with no lid for cooking,no plug for kitchen sink.Very difficult door system meant it took us considerable time trying to get the key to work every time we needed to get in and we were not the only ones having this issue.Reception does not open until 3pm,so if you arrive at 2pm you need to wait as no way of leaving your luggage.
Was very impressive. Parking is a bit hard work locally
A good, comfortable small apartment-style room with well-appointed kitchenette (cooker, fridge, dishwasher). Very good value. WiFi was patchy until reception lent a booster which fixed the problem. Location is good, walking distance of city centre, tourist sites and 5 minutes from the train station. Car access from autoroute is easy and there is good secure parking overground or beneath hotel (though that proved a bit tight to get in and out of!). Friendly staff but reception not open all the time, especially limited at weekends. This is the first time we have stayed at an "ApartCity" hotel but will use them again as good self-catering facilities, reasonably priced and in major towns all over France.
Hallway carpets a little grubby but overall for the ridiculously low price it was a bargain. Bed comfortable, shower great, 10 minute walk to the station and restaurants...what more do you want
The studio apartment was a pleasant surprise. Bed was comfy, shower was great and location excellent. They do have a laundry but the washing machine was not working..no drama because there is a laundrette just around the corner. The train station is a 10 minute walk away as are very nice restaurants. Simple hotel, basic but very handy to everything
Despite phoning several times in the week leading up to our arrival, the reception staff still forgot to send us the access codes on the day itself. We were lucky to get in to the accommodation, and we would have been completely stranded if we hadn't persevered with the central office number.
Hotel not quite as advertised on line. No in room wifi. Extra costs.
After waiting 20 minutes on the street, we finally checked in as there was only one member of staff on the desk. The bathrooms smelt of sewage and one of our toilets wouldn't flush. Air con wasn't working and the drinks machine was broken when we arrived was still not fixed when we left. On a positive note, the location is great, only a 10-minute walk from both the station and the beautiful town square and Cathedral.
While this is a pleasant hotel they have a bizarre check in system where the doors are locked until 3.00pm which means there is a great rush at this time to check in with considerable waiting time if you aren't at the front of the queue. This can spoil an otherwise enjoyable stay. Great location a 10 minute stroll to town on the edge of the historic centre. A few reasonable restaurants nearby and free parking on the back streets. The hotel charges for every conceivable extra so be aware. There is a kitchenette in the room so self catering is available. The rooms are looking a little tired particularly the carpertwhich should be replaced.
We had 2 ground floor rooms, the smell in the bathrooms was like an open drain. The staff were aware of the smell but nothing was done about it.
Well, early check-in was impossible b/c the staff is on break from noon to 3 pm. So we had to wait an hour in the lobby to check in. Breakfast and wifi are not included and were paid for separately. All the staff is not bilingual, so there were communication difficulties. The room is not cleaned daily (we only stayed 2 nights). We had to take out our own trash before check-out. The room was spacious and comfortable, especially the restroom. We had to pay 2 euros per suitcase to store after check out so we could continue to sightsee before going to the train. However, we ended up retrieving them within the hour b/c we remembered that the desk is closed from noon to 3 pm (and our train left at 2:45 pm)....very inconvenient. Staff has unpredictable behavior. For example, during breakfast, the attendant was super nice. Breakfast ends at 9:30 am. My mom took a banana from the fruit basket prior to check out at 11 am, and the attendant chastised her in French and made my mother return the banana to the fruit basket. You never know what's going to tick them off. The hotel's best attribute is its location...right on the periphery of the old city but within walking distance to the train station.
hotel condition was great...only thing that makes it bad is that out of hours its difficult to check-in as no reception at night and it cost me to call them for keys. also wifi is not free.
Marvellous. Does what it says on the tin. Safe and clean. You only pay for what you use.
It was very good but missed internet service. If you want internet you need to rent modem and figure out how to hook it up. Good cable TV. Modern and new rooms, very spacious. Great location for everything including train station.
Unfortunately the hotel key code was sent out too late so that when we arrived we had no way of gaining entry as the staff had gone off duty. When we did eventually gain access we found that our room had not been made up, and there were used sheets and towels on the floor. We had to make a long (and expensive) call to Expedia, and eventually were allocated another room. When staff came on duty on the Monday morning they were apologetic, and offered us a free breakfast on our final day. All this was stressful and took the edge off our short break; clearly procedures need to be reviewed, but it hasn't necessarily put us off staying at Apartcity again due to the convenience and competitive pricing.
My Husband & I were happy with the room. We left to go out & the lift stopped we pressed the alarm button & a gentleman answered & said he would get someone to come. 25 minutes later a man got the lift open. We went to reception to speak to the lady on duty & she was no help to us I would go so far as to say she was dismissive. I would hope that this reply would help if this happened again & hopefully the woman on reception would be trained to deal with matters like this with a little compassion as we were very upset with this problem Yours Truly Patrick & Geraldine Butler Ireland
We were on holiday in the region and it was perfect . In the middle to visit several places. I would recommend this hotel. We found parking free on the street . We did'nt have to to drive around and come back for a free space. So what if you do it will save you €8 eruos. Still the parking is secure for that price through the hotel . Bread shops and cafe bars close at hand .
Never again One time stop for a night We arrived around 5pm and the gave us a room which was not cleaned yet So we had to change it and got a smoking room instead
The Appart'City, Narbonne enjoys a great location, not far from the train station or the town center. It appears to be a recently renovated facility, with uncluttered, modern, air conditioned rooms that are quiet and comfortable. The kitchen facilities are great for hot beverages, or organizing provisions from the fabulous local market. Bed was comfortable, bathroom worked great, as did the wifi. No complaints!
Arrived at 17.15 to find reception closed at 17.00. Was able to enter hotel as door code had been E mailed previously but then had to get key from safe but did not have the code. Had to borrow phone to call for code to safe. Room large and comfortable. Carpets in corridors dirty and stained which did not look good. Breakfast ok but a little expensive at 9.70 euro. Wi-fi only seemed to work in reception area.
fabulous location. 4 mins to the station. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful town. bus stop outside takes you to the beach or Gruissan port.
We stayed one night which was good in this place. We cooked a meal in the basic kitchenette. Bed was comfy, the room was a bit small. Not too memorable but good for one night. Wifi only good in the lobby, not in room.
Stayed here for a few days with my girlfriend. Very comfortable, the room was cool, the bathroom was spacious. No complaints.
Good hotel near the town centre. Excellent value for money. Will certainly be back. Narbonne is a beautiful town and hotel is 8 minutes from train station. 1 euro on number 8 bus to Narbonne plage which has a beautiful beach.
The hotel is opened for a limited time each day. Staff not happy. Lock broken, light bulbs out.
Good modern facility. Needed extra pillows. Had for next day. Mini kitchen was great. Limited time staff is available. No WiFi in room-had to go to lobby to connect (along with rest of hotel!). Underground secure parking available. Would definitely stay there again. Easy walk to historic area.
