Should have more chairs at the lobby, especially we travelled with group of friends, usually gathered at lobby, there are only about 4 chairs at the lobby.

I had a wonderful experience at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou. The hotel is elegant, comfortable, and beautifully with a very welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. Thank you to the concierge team, particularly Steven and the entire team for such excellent hospitality. I would highly recommend Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou to anyone visiting the city, and I look forward to staying here again.

Everything was perfect

Hicyou is a good swimming monitor, with excellent skills and a nice personality. I strongly recommend taking swimming sessions for him!

A very short stay this time - even shorter than my first visit last year. The layout of the room was instantly familiar. The bath area was still split on 2 sides, with the tub and shower on one side and the toilet / vanities on the other. My one complaint remains the power sockets, which were especially difficult if one carried large chargers used for computers like MacBook. Other than that, really happy to have returned.

Beautiful room and such an amazing welcome for my sons, one of whom was celebrating his 18th birthday and the other his admission to medical school. They surprised them with a delicious chocolate cake and a touching congratulatory card, personally delivered to our room by the hotel staff. The hotel has a beautiful restaurant where breakfast is also served. Even though we arrived late in the evening, we were warmly welcomed, served, and made to feel at home. At the restaurant, a gentleman who I believe was the restaurant manager helped us learn as many details as possible about the place and made sure that we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such an unforgettable welcome!

Exceptional hospitality and attention to detail. We had visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. An email in advance was all it took to coordinate a great celebration. They went beyond to decorate the room and provide us with a cake. The loft bar with Mira really made it special with drinks, and the couple massage with Joyce and Lily was relaxing and professional. All the staff were very hospitable and we'd glady return again to this beautiful hotel. The mall was also accessible via hotel which was convenient.

I stayed three nights/4 days here in July 2026. Overall, this was a good stay. I did book directly through the MO website as a Silk member. Unlike many MO hotels which I visited in the past, MO Guanghzou will not proactively prepare your stay by sending a welcome message in advance of your stay, which I find unfortunate. Check-in was extremely cold and robotic with absolutely no sense of the intuitive, personalized hospitality that I usually associate with the Mandarin Oriental brand . I had booked a club room which was very nice but the view was pretty disappointing, being entirely obstructed by the Ascott building even high up in the building (the view at MO Shanghai or Beijing is way more interesting). I visited the lounge, which was quite nice. The food and drink selection was superb and the staff was extremely friendly. I did have a chat with the staff at the entrance of the club lounge because, unlike all other MO properties, I was not reminded about my Silk benefits when I checked-in so I did not know whether I could benefit from them during my stay. The person handling my request at the club lounge was very helpful: she said that my choices had not been selected and she offered the usual benefits, such as the dining/spa credit. I was also given the opportunity to have a small chocolate cake (which was delicious) and a bottle of wine (it was red wine and I don't drink red wine, so I left it unopened when I left). The club room I was assigned had what I could describe as a locked door out of service which was connected to the room next to mine. One night, the occupants of the room were extremely loud, laughing and screaming. I am sure it is their right to do so but I wanted to sleep, so I had to put ear plugs on. This leads me to note that sound insulation was pretty poor in my room. Also, because the MO Guanghzou is located on an extremely busy street of Guanghzou, I could hear the constant honking on the street, despite being really high up in the building. Housekeeping was good. Laundry service was decent but as club members you are entitled to two free items a day, which never appeared on my final bill (I was charged the full amount). I used the spa which was nice. I had dinner at Jiang by Chef Fei which was superb. Truly earns its two Michelin stars. Check-out was as cold and robotic as check-in. This is unfortunate. All in all, I had a very nice stay but the service is, in my view, not up to the MO's standards to which I am accustomed in London, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tapei or Shanghai, for example. For this reason, I would choose a different hotel next time I am in Guanghzou but I enjoyed my stay very much and do not regret staying there.

Top notch hotel. Very friendly staff in the Oriental Club, especially Miss Ice Wei. The Club is very recommendable with its many food and drink selections. Hope there will be a next time.

The oriental club is phenomenal, Ice Wei and Yamy were exceptional and they showed great hospitality and were super friendly. The room was spacious and quiet, comfortable bedding, I had good quality sleeps. The spa facility and service was another highlight. Will return, as always.

Very friendly service from all staff. Had to change my booking multiple times due to the typhoon, and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Spent quite some time in the executive club - shoutout to Ice and her team.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Service is great especially the concierge staff. Quiet, peaceful, and genuinely beautiful. The atmosphere was so serene that I almost felt reluctant to disturb it. I had originally thought about ordering Korean food delivery, but decided against it — and that turned out to be the right choice. There was something about the calmness of the hotel that deserved to be left untouched, like quietly appreciating the simple innocence of young love without interrupting it. The service and thoughtful details throughout the hotel were exceptionally warm and considered. The scent, lighting, and overall ambience were all perfectly judged, and I honestly cannot remember the last time I slept so peacefully. Personally, I also found the design surprisingly stylish. Even though I was in a hurry, I still spent quite a while exploring the room when I first arrived. I know some online reviews describe the style as rather old-fashioned, but I did not feel that way at all. A practical tip: if you love desserts or are interested in bakery and pastry, go to breakfast early. I arrived quite late, and by then many of the baked goods and pastries were already gone. The room design and decorative details became more impressive the longer I stayed. In fact, I only fully understood the intention behind some of the lighting and object placement after waking up the next morning. Looking back at my photos, several design choices suddenly made perfect sense. The service was genuinely excellent as well — a truly well-rounded experience with almost no weak points. I was also given a complimentary room upgrade, which made an already wonderful stay even better. My only regret is that I did not take enough photos. I somehow missed the Aesop hand wash in the lobby, as well as the delicious macarons the hotel gave me. Overall, it was a nearly perfect stay from beginning to end. I am already looking for a day with good weather to return.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou for a romantic getaway to celebrate my husband's birthday. The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like a luxurious bathrobe and excellent in-room amenities. The food was outstanding - from the breakfast buffet to lunch at Tang. The Peking duck was especially memorable. We also enjoyed the infinity pool, which was a lovely place to relax. A special thank you to the Assistant Chief Concierge, who went above and beyond to help recover my phone after I accidentally left it in a taxi. I’m incredibly grateful for his dedication and exceptional service. Thank you to the entire team for making our celebration so special. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful luxury hotel, excellent service, professional staffs overall, was taken good care of by Steven.

I stayed at the mandaarin for 14 nights in June 2026! Th service was incredible- Steven Diep , the assistant manager went above and beyond! From constantly checking via whats app, to helping co-ordinate travel arrangements- he was truly the cherry on top of an already comfortable stay!

Best hotel service. Truly MO, a class above. Everything is fantastic from pre check in where requests are answered, room, shower pressure to breakfast, dining, facilities, amenities etc. Housekeeping is so thoughtful to provide adhesives for my cables and every detail is looked into. Kris Lin at front desk is exceptional from my check in to check out. MO Guangzhou is also near taikoo hui and parc central while being exclusive, a really wonderful stay.

I want to make a specific post about an amazing host at the Manadrin Oriental Club Lounge. Sylvia has been absolutely wonderful to us every day we attend, she has an eye for detail, makes an amazing cocktail and is so sweet and friendly. I’ve never singled out a specific person in a hotel before, but Silvia is the reason I would come back to this hotel and rebook a club room again, just to experience her service one more time. Canned voss mineral water . Room given was facing west sun (told by staff it has a best view) when curtains up, the sun shines directly on the bed making it very hot as its summer 37 degrees that day . The glass tables and wooden table in the room Is way too huge making less space to walk around. And only 1 chair in the mandarin room. Too much glass cabinets in the toilet area - a bit dangerous when having kids staying there. Room too dark . As unable to open the curtain as its scorching hot ik the day time.

After a small hiccup during check in, the staff at the Mandarin oriental more than made up for it by their impeccable service and attentiveness making sure that the rest of our stay was a memorable one. Shout out to Steven from front desk for going the extra mile.

前台专业程度： 当天我们下午六点多（对，是下午六点多！）到酒店却被告知我们订的房间还在清洁。完全没有在乎我们带着一个宝宝坐了四个多小时车从外地过来，急需要把东西放下，帮宝宝换衣服尿片等。前台直接建议我们直接先去吃饭，我真的被气笑了，好像一岁半的宝宝可以直接去餐厅点菜直接吃一样。如此的专业度让我一个在深圳mo坐了一个月月子的人直接对这家酒店大失所望。期间前台没有任何其他的选择给我们，是否可以换个房型，换个楼层等，是可以但是懒得做还是真的没想到？ 房间设施： 终于进到房间，结果餐台上方的灯是坏的。好，七点多才能进的一间房，里面有设施还是坏的。那种心情你们能理解么？如果当下我们是情侣客人，之前发生的一切我们并不会有什么怨言。但是带着宝宝，劳累都被放大了十倍，你们酒店做的是在我们的肩膀上又轻轻加了一块砖。 另：酒店麻木不仁，没有任何表示，果盘是四个可怜的橘子。第二天夜床也没有巧克力。所以你们的好态度是要留给什么特定客户吗？ 酒店设施： 泳池旁边的水中亭，水都臭了...一边游泳一边闻到阵阵臭味，坏体验拉满。 经过这一遭，至少广州的mo，我们是永远不会再去了。

Mon séjour de 4 nuits au Mandarin Oriental de Canton a été globalement très agréable. Tout d’abord, l’hôtel est idéalement situé, avec de nombreux commerces à proximité et même un centre commercial directement dans l’hôtel, regroupant toutes les boutiques de prestige. À notre arrivée, nous avons cependant été un peu surpris par l’accueil de la réceptionniste, qui semblait se demander ce que nous faisions ici. Étant venus pour la Foire de Canton ainsi que pour visiter des usines, nous avions choisi de porter des vêtements confortables. Lorsque nous lui avons indiqué que nous avions réservé deux chambres, son attitude a complètement changé. Je trouve cela dommage de juger les clients selon leur apparence. Le petit-déjeuner est parfait et très complet. Les chambres sont impeccablement propres, et le service de ménage passe deux fois par jour. La femme de ménage était d’ailleurs très gentille, discrète et professionnelle. Seul autre point négatif : la même réceptionniste lors de mon check-in. J’avais oublié ma carte dans la chambre et, à cause de la fatigue, je me suis trompé de numéro de chambre. Elle semblait très agacée et m’a répondu d’un ton assez sec. En revanche, je tiens à remercier les concierges, qui ont été extrêmement gentils et serviables avec mon problème de valise. Malgré ces quelques points, le séjour reste une belle expérience.

L'emplacement a côté du mall.

Le personnel a été très désagréable, ma femme a demandé à la concierge de réserver un taxi elle lui a dit d'aller dehors et de prendre un taxi au niveau du mall. Je n'ai jamais vue ça de ma vie dans un établissement 5 étoiles... et la première chambre été salle a notre arrivée nous avons du demandé a avoir une autre chambre.

Had an exceptional stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The level of service was truly outstanding, especially from Catherine from Guest Relations, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail easily made this one of the best hotel experiences of our entire trip. Having also stayed at Rosewood and previously at Four Seasons, I can honestly say the service received here stood out the most IMO. Another worth mentioning was the Michelin 2 star-restaurant on the 3rd floor — absolutely amazing dining experience with excellent food. Def for someone who wants cuisine that’s above and beyond the best. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for true luxury hospitality in Guangzhou. And we will definitely return.

Absolutely loved my stay at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou! The hotel’s decor is so elegant, sophisticated and timeless—even after all these years, it still feels incredibly refined and upscale, never outdated. Shoutout to Mia for her warm, thoughtful service and lovely attention to detail; made the whole experience even more wonderful! Will definitely be back.

I always make it a point to stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou whenever I’m in the city for business or a short stopover—and for good reason. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional level of service. I would especially like to recognize Cora, who has been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate every request with efficiency and care. It is largely because of her outstanding service that I continue to choose this hotel time and time again. I also have to highlight the Executive Lounge. The book selection reflects a remarkable sense of cultural depth and thoughtful curation—an impressive detail that speaks volumes about the hotel’s taste. The scones are excellent as well. From service to the smallest details, the overall experience is consistently impeccable. Highly recommended.

Old and smelly rooms - not what you expect from mandarin orientale

The worse was the 2 Michelin star restaurant. We waited one hour for our wine, it arrived when our dinner was almost done. Plates were never changed, desserts were brought on to the table while we were still eating mains.

Venus & Rita is an outstanding bartender, very solid cocktails, made cocktails for us although it’s almost closing time, explained the whole mixture to us, superb service and very engaging

I stay for Canton fair, very satisfied with accommodation and breakfast, special thanks to Mia, Cynthia Joelle and Nick. Will recommend definitely!

Came here yesterday for some food and the experience was so pleasant I came back again today. The waiter yesterday was fantastic (didn’t get his name) and Ymir Yuan this evening was again fantastic! Anyone visiting or living in the city must come and try this place. For the quality of the food and the service the price is incredible! Hats of to the chef also.

Overall the hotel was too dark for our tastes.

Everything from check in, breakfast, the bed, an amazing shower which became my favorite, coupled with very courteous staff ever ready to assist in every way possible. The hotel has something great going for them and they should keep it up. Unfortunately I took no pictures which is a huge regret.

I came here for lunch with my family and we were incredibly impressed with the dishes and atmosphere. Our server Eason was attentive and detailed and made our experience an amazing one! Would come back again.

MO Guangzhou is conveniently located next to the Taikoo shopping mall and a short distance to Parc Central. The hotel has lots of good restaurants which make it easy for meals. However, I noticed that the traffic is always heavy by the main entrance. Rooms are clean, comfortable and designed thoughtfully. Easy to power our phones (next to both sides of beds), light control not complicated and the hot-cold water in the shower simple. Ample space to hold our luggages. Really like the room. Two suggestions: 1. It would be good to have more sitting spaces by the reception. There are only 2 high back chairs. This would be helpful when the DiDi is late. I found myself and lots of others loitering by reception. 2. The lifts are card controlled. Yet I found myself having to press considerably hard on the control pad to activate the floor. Overall, a wonderful time in MO Guangzhou!

Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou ticks all the boxes when visiting Guangzhou and lived up to our high expectations! We enjoyed the convenient accessibility to Taikoo Hui and connection to Guangzhou metro. Our room is well-maintained and exudes class as one would expect of the MO brand. The standing shower and toilet vanity area were separated by the foyer leading into the bedroom, which is not our preference but wasn’t too much difficulty adapting to. Breakfast was truly a delight to have each morning and had everything that we could ask for – including a separate ala carte menu with MO signatures. There was a perfect balance between Asian and Western options for the buffet. Genuinely 5 stars! Service all around from the Front Desk to Breakfast Restaurant was professional and straightforward. A special mention to the Housekeeping staff who attended to our room and ensured that our phone cables were neatly secured! We had a great time staying at the MO Guangzhou and will definitely return!

We stayed her for 3 nights and the service from start to end was outstanding! Starting from Jing and Collen from the concierge desk who diligently followed up on my parcel deliveries to the Oriental Club staff like Ice, Yamy and Cora who assisted us with warmed hospitality and professionalism.

Joelle from front desk is very thoughtful and welcoming. Knowing we’re interested in taking a look at the oriental lounge, she especially arranged our room on the same floor of the lounge. And even the next day Joelle could still greet me with my name and a lovely smile. Cora from oriental lounge is also sweet and patient. Even though we didn’t upgrade for lounge access, she still throughly and carefully introduced the lounge to us. MO Guangzhou is always my only choice whenever I visit this city. Every staff I’d met is elegant and warm.The bed is superb, the breakfast is delicious, and the entire hotel always makes me feel relaxing. It’s an oasis and an escape in the heart of this hustling city.

Super friendly and helpful staff Silvia Liang, Yamy in the executive lounge and Daniel Wu in the front desk, Rena Xu in guest relation provide warmest welcome to make me and my family enjoy a lot of birthday celebration. However front desk Ivy Wang kept showing her arrogant attitude to us which is very unfriendly and unpleasant. She talked back and question guests every words. For example, I mentioned I am silk Fan of MO member. Without checking on computer, she immediately said I don’t know your member. And she kept saying my room was on DND even I already told her my room is on housekeeping mode. Any housekeeper, when hotel guest update the room status, they will just say thanks for informing us. We will provide housekeeping service soon instead of challenging guests in public which look like she knows better than hotel guest that she could give instructions without listening or respecting hotels guests. Her intention is simply to embarrassing guest in public in uncomfortable ways without helping guests to make their stay smooth and wonderful like other great staff I mentioned above.

The Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou was a home away from home for us. Our first time in Guangzhou and the staff at the hotel made us feel completely at home from the moment we stepped in. The concierge team made every effort to assist with dining reservations and that was very helpful of them. Service was impeccable throughout our stay and we will definitely make this our choice hotel if we are back here in GZ. Special mention to Ice from the Oriental Club Floor who assisted with by check-out and the Concierge team for their very prompt and kind assistance.

It was an incredible stay from the moment we arrived to Guangzhou Mandarin Oriental. The service was outstanding right from the start!! Have only been here an hour. Had breakfast at the hotel while waiting for the room to be ready. Class, style, professionalism. Never had such a good Continental style breakfast before. Most importantly, Nick, I believe one of the managers, helped us with an issue that was actually unrelated to the hotel, but he went above and beyond, amazing! After 20 hours of travel, exhausted, they made us feel right at home. To Nick, as well as the others that greeted and helped us, 谢谢 xièxie. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. The service was consistently warm, professional, and attentive, making the experience truly memorable. Special thanks to guest relations agent Cynthia for her outstanding care and attention to detail—she genuinely made me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay.

Overall, everything is good. Comfortable staying and excellent hotel staff service. The hotel is located at shopping mall and the subway station which really conveniently.

The traffic around the hotel is very heavy because it's located in the city center. It takes a very long time to get into the hotel grounds if you travel by car. In addition, the check-in process at the front desk also takes a long time, probably because only one counter is open during dinner hours, the check-in line is a bit slow.

We greatly appreciate the services of Miss Catherine Shen from the front office. She is very truthful and patience. She helps with our existing and future reservations so that we can get the best rates for our stays! We will also like to thank Mr Kris Lin for arranging late check out to accommodate our flight departure time. Hotel is clean and beautiful with smart toilet and Dyson hair dryer and good shower pressure. It is located above a high class shopping mall with big supermarket. With the help of Ms Catherine Shen, our family members are joining us for the upcoming visit to Guangzhou. Thank you Ms Shen@
