It’s basic and old and dirty and dingy. The tv remote control was so disgusting I didn’t even want to pick it up. There is no room service if you want food (and have to work) you have to order via Grab. No water. Only vending machines

The location was very convenient especially travelling in from the airport we caught the MRT . the staff were friendly and attentive.

The bathroom was quite small and very difficult to negotiate when coming out of the shower. If you have the bath mat on the floor it kept you from been able to come out of the shower safely a bit of a trip hazard. At least one bedside table would have been good as there was nothing to put glasses or water bottle on next to at night. The fact that the bed was 2 king singles pushed together with no topper on meant the bed moved apart a little bit but that was fine because we were only staying for the two nights. In room also there was a small vendor machine and the visual display was very very bright and needed to be covered otherwise it just illuminated the room at Night.

It’s a bit tired. But pretty good value for money. Nice and quiet. The deodorizer smell in the hallways is absolutely overwhelming assuming to cover the smell of the dirty carpet. Had to hold my breath getting from the room to the lift.

The location is brilliant! The room isnt the biggest compared to other countries but it was perfect to us (if you are comparing between Singapore and Singapore) The reception staffs are (and I’m not exaggerating) the friendliest and most helpful. I believe I said it once but felt like saying this 2nd time, location is godsent

La ubicación es perfecta para moverte en metroe a los principales sitios turísticos.. Además hay ascensor directo al metro.al lado del hotel. Tienen grifo de agua potable en el baño.

La puerta del baño es de cristal, y da poca intimidad. Reservé una habitación doble con camas individuales y desayuno y en el checking nos dijeron que solo teníamos desayuno para una persona, y aunque en la reserva de Booking incluía claramente desayuno con 1 habitación doble , nos dieron solo un desayuno.

I had a very enjoyable stay at Dorsett Singapore. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well laid out, with plenty of space for luggage and relaxing after a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel's location is excellent, with Outram Park MRT station nearby, making it easy to travel around Singapore. Breakfast was also very good, with a tasty selection of food and plenty of choices. Overall, it is a convenient and comfortable hotel that offers great value.

Staff were friendly, lots of vending machines in the lobby (fresh orange juice, starbucks coffee, toiletries), the room was quite spacious and the location is so central - you follow the metro signs to exit number 4, and the hotel has their sign on an elevator that takes you to the street right next to their entrance - very easy to get to. Great location for catching the MRT or walking to nearby restaurants and cafes.

The bathroom design was a bit strange... it's a glass door next to the bed, so all the light from the bathroom comes into the bedroom. And you can see inside.

Close to the underground train, Outram Station. Staff were helpful. Close walking distance to China Town.

Great location with friendly staff. There was a small gym which was nice. Big comfortable bed. Big pool.

Everything is old. Towels have threads coming off, sheets have old stains, pool beds are all broken, tiles by the pool area that are broken. This hotel needs an update!

AVOID…..The room had a strong damped smell on arrival, unlivable enough that we checked out within hours. Worse than the room itself: the hotel agreed to refund the two unused nights, confirmed it in writing twice, then denied it ever happened when Booking.com followed up directly. Multiple calls went unanswered. A maintenance issue is forgivable — a hotel that contradicts its own written word isn’t.

there were dark fungus molds at the washing basin. Do the housekeeping supervisors ever check the cleanliness of the room after it was cleaned? The lightings in the room are dim and hairdryer is too small for effective blow drying.

Great area to stay would stay here again.close to the train, just a short walk to get the train to the airport, the best way by far.

The location, it is right next to the Outram Park MRT Station.

The toilet in our room had fresh poop stains waiting for us after check-in. The bedsheets were clean, but the set-up was sloppy with the pillows falling over and the bedsheet and blanket not tucked in.

Rooms felt a bit tired and in need of some TLC. Two of the bed legs were broken, but this was rectified as soon as we brought it to the attention of the staff. The phone didn’t work, so couldn’t call the front desk. Toilet seat was loose and needed the lugs tightening. Not quite up to the 4 star rating.

La stanza puzzava di muffa nonostante fossimo al quarto piano del resort. Inoltre, non era possibile aprire le finestre per favorire il ricambio d’aria. Alcune camere si affacciano direttamente su una parete esposta a nord e presentano evidenti problemi di ventilazione. Ho anche provato a chiedere un cambio di stanza, ma purtroppo il resort era al completo. Trovo comunque inaccettabile destinare agli ospiti camere con problemi di questo tipo, soprattutto se la struttura ne è già consapevole. Sarebbe opportuno risolvere il problema di ventilazione prima di far soggiornare nuovamente le persone in queste stanze.

Dated rooms,air con way too warm and when tried to change always went back to 24 degrees. Asked for use if pool on check out day as with every other hotel we used but were told no! Disgraceful after the amount we paid for two nights. No one to help with luggage. Unfriendly desk lady though not all of them .

Por ponerle una pega, la gente de recepción podría ser algo más amable. Podrían tener una habitación de cortesía para poder cambiarte o ducharte cuando ya has hecho el check out y vuelves a por tu maleta que te la tienen en custodia.

Location of the hotel was exceptional for us.

Room looked old, small and smell dusty and mouldy.

The room was great. The bed was super comfy. We actually love the views from our room. The location was amazing right next to the train right near the Maxwell food Centre everything was super easy. I would definitely stay here again.

Originally booked the loft superior king room. The King bed was jammed into a room so that you could only get in from one side, less room than a standard king. As soon as we saw it we immediately asked to change rooms and they accommodated us.

The Dorsett is an interesting hotel. It is definitely unique and quite nicely appointed in the common areas. Although it's right on the edge of Chinatown, the building is sleek and modern. I'd say the vibe is more hipster than elegant. Not quite what I was expecting from their website, but it's nice. The room, however, was not to my liking. It was of a decent size, but not well thought-out at all. The power points were horribly placed for charging electronics. The bathroom didn't fit together: the sink was outside the toilet/shower room, there was no mirror over the sink and just a small make-up mirror on a side wall. The shower/toilet room is so small one has to stand outside by the sink to get into the shower and open/close the shower door. And the shower door almost hit the sink! To top it off, the bed was low and not very comfortable for me. Finally, the air con worked too well--it was either blasting cold air, or if I shut it off (the only option) then the room heated up fast. I'm surprised for how new the hotel feels that the room was this poor. I guess I know why the room price was much less than comparable hotels around Singapore. Although I enjoyed the location, I doubt I'd stay here again. I'm really only rating this 'average' due to the value and the location.

There was an open 'roof garden' area on one floor that was a bit of an odd place - no bar, no tables out, just some astro turf. next to the laundry. We bought food for a picnic lunch and though this would be a good place to eat it - out the way of everyone - just four of us, it was raining, didn't want to eat in our rooms..... there was a little shelter there. Two representatives of the hotel must have seen us on security cameras and came and told us we couldn't eat there as people may want to use the area. The place was empty. Literally no-one there. This was a bit unnecessary - especially as they were clearly keeping an eye on us via the cameras.

Dorsett Singapore is a fantastic hotel—modern, comfortable, and perfectly located close to Chinatown and the MRT. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. It was a pleasure to return, and we will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Singapore.
