We had a lovely 4-night stay. The apartment was very clean, well maintained, and everything was in very good condition. It was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly. We were very pleased with the accommodation and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

Excellent size 2 bedroom apartment , the rooms were spacious, kitchen had excellent supply of essentials utensils, washing machine and cooker. Enough supply of towels, bedding and extra blankets if needed. ZOYA ZOYA , no words can sum her up , she is the lady we always meet when we book with meridian, she is an absolutely wonderful lady who is very hardworking. Her speedy response to any concerns was impeccable. She is just fab and my kids loved her. Meridian you have a treasure there!

1. Unfortunately, there was no lift to get up to the top floor and was abit difficult to go up and down with kids& a baby - shopping etc. previous bookings we were allocated ground floor apartment so never had this issue sadly this time round we had top floor apartment. 2. The TV was very outdated for the kids to enjoy programs when inside during the evenings. ( we were out most of the day time hours but if you have kids you know they like to watch TV when indoors. 3.Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak, couldn’t access it in a tablet or phones, so indoor entertainment was a struggle. 4. Bathroom - two / four lights were not working, so we showered in dim lighting, the whole shower system was rusty and needs changing asap. 5. There was a broken Iron, had to ask for working one which was done ASAP thanks to Zoya for speedy response when contacted.

It was a nice and very clean apartment. They just need to change the TV in the lounge. It is too small for such an apartment. My kids could not watch the TV for the six nights. A smart TV would do

Our host Zoya was super amazing and very helpful! She met us at the property to let us in. Was super cheerful and made our evening pleasant. Also, told us where to visit. The flat was also comfortable and furnished with the things we needed. Overall, beautiful experience

The lady (host) was warm and friendly.

Location - felt really unsafe and dodgy. Car park (which we paid £5 for) was full of rubbish/fly tipping and didn’t feel secure at all. I managed to walk into the building without a key which is concerning. Other residents were loud - lots of banging at all hours. Felt unsafe for our family. Pictures are misleading. The apartment was tired. Felt it was way overpriced. Also really didn’t like the fact we had to pay £100 deposit and that a copy of my ID was taken - didn’t feel right. Host was clearly overworked. Struggled to get hold of her manager and was clearly struggling.

The lady Zoya who met us was very nice.

The pictures advertised was not the apartment given , the room only slept 4 with the 5th guest expected to sleep on the leather sofa that wasn't made up. We were told the balance would be taken 7 days before arrival. We then had to pay at the property. Then a £100 deposit. Then I had to give my ID and it was a picture taken on the staffs phone. This is extremely unprofessional and surely goes against GDPR . After a rocky start of having to search through the bank we then paid the full amount and the deposit. The 5th bed was then given to us a Z bed and made up to sleep on. The apartment was on the top floor and no lifts, not suitable for my grandparents who both have mobility issues. The rest of the apartments were full of loud people in and out all hours of the night and day, doors slamming. The other apartments seemed to be being used as emergency housing by the seems of it. The alleyway to the side of the apartment was lively all through the night with what looked like business deals. When we arrived we were also charged £5 to pak at the back of the property and it wasn't even a secure car park nor was our registration checked anyone could park there. We had a key to the entrance of the building which was pointless because both the front and back doors were most just left open. Someone had just dumped a pushbike at the bottom of the stairwell and my son fell over it and got oil all over his clothes and grazed his knee.

Zoya is the single best thing about this location. She is friendly, helpful and can’t do enough for people.

Our stay at Meridian Apartments was absolutely wonderful, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The apartment was exceptionally clean—truly spotless. Everything was beautifully furnished, modern, comfortable, and very classy. It was also fully equipped with everything we needed for a perfect stay, including towels, cookware, an oven, fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, and all appliances were in excellent working condition. The attention to detail was impressive, and it genuinely felt like a home away from home. The location was another huge advantage. The views from the windows were lovely, and the apartment is ideally situated close to everything. There is a bus stop nearby with direct routes to both the town centre and the beach. The beach is only around a 20-minute walk away, or about 10 minutes by bus. It is also conveniently located near three train stations, including two central stations and another station within approximately 10 minutes’ walking distance. We loved being so close to the Odeon Cinema, Victoria Shopping Centre, Adventure Island, Sea Life Adventure, numerous cafés, and supermarkets such as Lidl and Iceland. Ordering food or shopping deliveries to the apartment was also very easy and convenient. We happened to visit during some particularly warm days, and it was such a pleasant surprise to find a fan provided in the apartment. The apartment receives plenty of natural sunlight throughout the day, and in the evenings there is a lovely gentle breeze through the windows, making it a very comfortable place to relax. A special thank you to Zoya, who welcomed us on arrival. She was cheerful, friendly, punctual, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to show us around and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Most importantly, my children absolutely loved the apartment. They genuinely didn’t want to leave and started calling it “home” during our stay.

Zoya called me to check arrival time and provide keys. She was very flexible, as I was late. She met me earlier than planned on Sunday so I could leave early.

It was very dirty, bathroom was filthy you literally feel itchy from moment you sit on Sofa or lay in bed. It’s a disappointment that such property exist and are allowed to be rented on platforms such as booking.com, I felt like I’ve been robbed considering it cost £80 a night

The property was generally clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to Southend beach and had shops nearby to buy supplies. There was also a lovely park about a 10-minute walk (Priory Park) which my kids really enjoyed. We were also met and helped out by a lovely lady, Zoya, who was a star. It was also really helpful to have parking on site.

The property and it's contents are quite basic but gave us what we needed for a short stay. Some of the items, like the shower, could definitely do with an update. It's also quite a noisy block as the front door bangs loudly and it's very easy to hear anyone who is coming/going inside the property.

It was adequate for my stay

It was a nightmare to find due to the road being blocked permanently just near the property. Onsite parking limited to one parking space right outside the entrance. It was way too hot. No way of controlling the heating.

This is our third stay in this flat as we visit extended family members in Southend. Our host, Zoya was amazing! The communication with Zoya before and during our stay was exceptional: The flat was clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Zoya is so helpful - thank you Zoya, we will definitely be back to stay here again.

Overall pleasant stay, the apartment itself was clean and comfortable.

Told the host on check in we would be leaving just after 6:30am on check out day. Check out day arrives and host was knocking on the door at 6:28am, asking if we were still there. Came back 5 minutes later (6:35am) let self in and was wandering around the apartment, looking in the rooms, whilst we were still getting ready to leave. We had not finished in the apartment and found it very bazaar and really wanted a bit more time to chill in the morning before leaving. We were here for work but if we had decided to leave later because things do sometimes change, with the apartment check out being 10am, we could of still be in bed.

Met by the host; handover went very well. Beds were comfy enough; a little noisy from the main road but was expected. Wasn't used for cooking, but facilities were in place.

It’s a good location and it was away from the hustle of the seafront. The lady who checks you in is wonderful so friendly and happy. The property even had little things like shower gel so nice little things.

The cooking pots/pans ect were not enough so was very hard to cook food

Good location for us as we were completing a course at Swift Clean. We would stay again if we were in the area if the details were rectified.

Kitchen: There was a control knob on the cooker missing. so we were unable to control the cooker, (So we did not use it). I would like a pair of scissors (to aid opening packaging). Bedroom: I don't like throws and cushions on beds as they are rarely clean. The ones in the main bedroom were dirty. Bathroom: Shower gel was left in the bathroom from the previous renter. The fan housing in the bathroom was dirty. Parking: We were charged an extra £10.00 for parking during our stay, which was not mentioned at time of booking.

Quiet and comfortable

Location for staying to visit a family member.

Having to pay a deposit for a run down apartment with big crack down the window next to the TV, which didn't see on arrival as curtains had been closed. Also get told to park at the back, with they charge you for, when there was plenty of parking in the front free.

I liked the warm reception and friendliness.

It is near to the seafront but far enough away that you got peace and quiet. It was vey comfortable

The television did not work properly, after watching it for an hour you can change channels. The button for the shower did not work so I could only have baths. The are no baking trays so limited in what I was able to cook.

Zoya was a pleasure to deal with. The apartment was absolutely spotless, bathroom and rooms were modern and beds were very comfortable.

I would of liked if there was a coffee machine or even just tea and coffee facilities there. Shop is right beside the apartment block so wasn't a big deal, the only reason im saying it is because anywhere else i stay usually has that there

The accommodation was clean, well presented and comfortable. Kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms all good. Zoya, who takes care of the apartments was excellent. She was very kind and helpful . She answered any questions we had about shops, transport etc.

The parking was good for £2.50 a night unexpected but it was ok.

The marks on all the walls the kicked in bath the mold in the bathroom and no bowls and front door handle loose with lock frame hanging off like it has been jimmied with a screwdriver or kicked.

In a decent spot of the town, shops within walking distance so we could save money, takeaways too. Bus stop pretty much right outside the place, so yay there!

Overall a decent stay, but there were a few things that could be improved, namely communications. I went with my best friends, and I’d asked specifically for a twin bed room for me and one friend, and a double room for the other two as they’re in a relationship for context. Seems to have been either a language barrier or a mix up, as when we got there, it was two double bedrooms, so me and one specific friend had to share. It was just a bit of a misunderstanding, ultimately it didn’t throw anything off but I thought I had made my intentions clear. Perhaps not. There was also cat poo in the ‘garden’ - if you can even call it that. More like a little strip of fake grass and stones with also a fairly irresponsibly laid ‘step’ - which was a big grey brick that my friend fell over at least three times. He wasn’t hurt, but it’s still a bit irresponsible in my eyes. Garden was good as a smoking area though, haha.

I thought it was a bit expensive considering the front window was broken & it made a whistle noise, it changed the temperature of the room. It didn’t spoil our stay and I would go back as it’s close to my family and the staff are so good. It is clean.

Friendly lady met us with keys . Described as apartment suites ,Unfortunately a run down top floor flat in a run down part of SOS. Charged extra to park in the flats , allocated , unsecured car park , with all the rubbish. Took £100 damage deposit , nothing left in the flat that wasn't already damaged/broken .Everything in the property was of extremely poor quality , very poorly decorated , what was in the flat was already broken ,damaged and filthy dirty.

Filthy dirty , filthy curtains and blinds , windows wouldn't stay shut because the mechanism and handles were broken , heaters falling off walls , oven knobs missing , kitchen units repaired with masking tape ,lamp base sellotaped back together , shower broken ,shower hose split , bath panel kicked in , hooks falling out of wall , rubbish stored in bedside cabinet , front door wouldn't stay shut ,hole in the TV screen ,beds broken ,fuse box melted .Photos on website nothing like the property . where the previous reviews are from we have no idea , i would warrant they aren't from people who have actually stayed in the property . We was eventually refunded , even though the refund was originally attempted to be put through as a sale , and we was asked not to leave a review . Owner then told Booking.com we didn't bother to turn up , hoping to get the full payment for a no show .

The smell in the drains (bathroom and kitchen) were awful. I am also very sensitive to mold and this bothered me but not the other guests.

Me and my family love everything about these apartments. We have stayed here many times. Zoya is absolutely amazing with my family. She goes above and beyond to make sure we have a great stay . Our apartments are clean , comfortable and relaxed. Zoya is only a phone call away when we need anything
