Dat het een simpel eenvoudig hotel was wisten we,maar dan hoeft het niet vies en stuk te zijn Bij aankomst op de kamer viel direct op dat de lakens vies waren Dit heb ik gemeld en toen kregen we een andere kamer Het bed was schoon,maar dat was dan ook het enige Alles beschadigd en stoffig en vies Heel blij dat we hier maar 1 nacht waren

El hotel huele a humedad, tiene porquería por todos lados y todo esta roto y viejo. El desayuno es 100% para locales y malo. Las sábanas llenas de manchas que da asco meterse a dormir. El baño daba pena y asco. Las toallas eran grises de lo viejas y sucias que estaban. Había una cucaracha en el baño. No hay enchufes en el baño. En los pasillos hay tablas de planchar con planchas conectadas, pudiendo provocar un incendio. Tuvimos que dejar depósito por si rompiamos algo, nose muy bien para que si todo daba pena. No recomiendo quedaros aquí, me ha parecido hasta caro.

The towels that we got looked old and kind of smelly. The colour of the towels was dark , it was like not washed and clean properly. We bought towels at the store nearby. The pillows also kind of smelly. Smells like old pillows.

Le lenzuola erano sporche, puzzolenti e piene di macchie. Abbiamo chiesto di cambiarle ma non lo hanno fatto. Il bagno era sporco con capelli per terra e il pavimento non era lavato.

La stanza non mi è piaciuta. Assolutamente datata, senza luci sui comodini, con una doccia malfulzionante e soprattutto con un brutto odore di chiuso. Non ho dormito bene a causa del brutto odore.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Lokalita hotela je veľmi dobrá. Nočné trhy začínajú priamo pred dverami hotela. Taktiež je blízko k ostatným pamiatkam v Kota Bharu. Tých však veľa nie je. Čo však bolo dobré - bola teplá voda, čo v týchto končinách nie je zvykom. Po mesiaci sprchovania v studenej to padlo vhod.
Určite by sa malo zlepšiť vybavenie hotela. Dvere v kúpeľní sú premočené a zhnité odspodu, koberce už prežili svoje najlepšie časy. Na všetkom sa už podpísal zub času. Fotky na bookingu sú omnoho krajšie ako realita.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026The location was great. I stayed there on a Friday evening and a nice evening market took place right in front of the hotel. The personnel was friendly and helpful.
The rooms are old and there was a smell upon entering. First I thought it was cigarette smoke, but then I realized it was probably due to the room's age and carpet. The carpet really should be changed to a smoother surface for easier cleaning.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Good location to the tourist sites in town. The night market is literally in the hotel parking lot with lots of good choices. Breakfast is included. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Room was clean as was bathroom.
Room was a bit run down with breaking plaster and peeling paint. AC worked, but very slowly. I loved the night market, but the live band played till the end of the market around midnight.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Its strategic location is a major advantage, with a night market held every evening right in front of the hotel entrance. The room rate includes breakfast, making it excellent value for money. If you wish to purchase breakfast separately, it costs only RM10. The breakfast spread is generous for the price, offering main dishes such as nasi lemak and noodles, along with 2–3 varieties of traditional kuih, cereals, bread, and beverages. Although the hotel is quite old, it has been well maintained and is equipped with an elevator, making it convenient for guests with luggage or those staying on the upper floors. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service throughout my stay. Do note that the hotel requires a RM50 cash deposit upon check-in, which is refunded immediately upon check-out.
One suggestion for improvement would be to sweep the corridor floors more frequently. This would make the common seating area along the corridor cleaner and more comfortable for guests who wish to relax or spend time at the tables provided.

At night, it was quite noisy. Right in front of the hotel, there was a public space with night market. And there was live band performance from 9pm to 12am. Although my room was not directly facing the live band performance, but it still make me feel disturbed and couldn’t sleep until the music stop.

Bilik saya black out dari pukul 4 pg pukul 8 baru ada elektrik. Berapa jam kepnasan. Call reception tiada siapa jawab. Turun tangga smpai reception gelap tiada siapa di situ. Contact hotel properties pun tiada jawapan. Sarapan pun biasa² dan tak sedap. Bila check out saya mintak diskaun disebabkan masalah elektrik tiada selama berjam² tapi staff reception hanya jawab tiada diskaun dan terus duduk macam tiada apa². Sepatah kata maaf pun tiada atas kesulitan tersebut. Fikir² kan la siapa yang nak book this hotel.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Waktu petang dalam 0630 sehingga 1200 mlm ada jualan depan hotel,jadi senang nak beli segala makanan,keluar pintu hotel terus jumpa,macam macam dijual Dari segala jenis makanan dan pakaian,kalau boring boleh dengar busking..memang seronok.Sarapan pagi jam 0730 sehingga jam berapa saya tak pasti,masakan dia sedap sangat.. Alhamdulillah kenyang . insyaalah next time kalau pergi ke KB lagi pasti akan menginap di sini.Terima Kasih pengurusan jewels hotels, staff dan kakitangan anda memang terbaik,jaga molek molek staff tu,tanpa staff yg terbaik siapakah anda.
Masuk bilik bau asap rokok,walaupun telah di tampal dilarang merokok, jenis pengotor pentingkan diri sendiri tak memikirkan hal orang lain, sampai langsir hotel pun ada kesan terbakar,saya minta staff hotel bawakan pewangi bilik sekejap je dah sampai,memang terbaik la.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026Fabulous comfortable bed and pillows. Great location. 5 min walk to catch bus to Kuala Besut jetty for Perentian islands. There was a great market right outside when we arrived. Water dispenser is great, cuts down on plastic. Ladies in desk in morning was very friendly and helpful. Liked the retro lift.
Old and tired, not very clean. Towels and sheets need replacing as end of life. Breakfast was not very nice. Juice was cordial.

The complimentary breakfast was a thoughtful addition, and although the selection was somewhat limited, each dish was flavorful and satisfying.
Parking provisions are relatively constrained, with guests being subject to supplementary charges in accordance with MPKB. Furthermore, the corridor carpeting would greatly benefit from refurbishment, as a renewed and more pristine finish would significantly enhance the property’s aesthetic appeal and lend a fresher sense of sophistication to the overall ambiance.
