Hotel Buddha

Very nice hotel, properly and professionally managed. Our group had a perfect stay here. The room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was very convenient. There were also some really nice restaurants nearby, which was very handy for us. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

We’ve had a fantastic stay. Our room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The AC worked great, and the hot shower was perfect. The included breakfast was delicious and had plenty of healthy options. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great service, extra nice staff! Didn’t let us carry our own bag. Great and fast laundry service. Welcomed us with drinks and fruits + explanations about hanoi and our surroundings.

Beautiful place that feels like a home away from home, I stayed here for 2 weeks and couldn’t be happier with my choice of accommodation. All the staff are amazing and the courtyard is an oasis in Kathmandu. Great food, cosy & clean rooms and the cherry on top is a stunning rooftop perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset behind the surrounding mountains. Top location with easy access to all the highlights of Thamel. Highly recommend staying here!

Very friendly staff, they helped us with taxis at local prices repeatedly and where generally very courteous. The room was clean and the shower hot.

The room looked a bit tired and as the window was facing another wall there was barely sunlight.

Central Thamel so amongst all the restaurants/shops. Wooden room decor. Hot shower - after leaving to run for 5 minutes. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Basic breakfast for western tastes. No formal indoor restaurant for the colder months. Being woken up for breakfast at 9 when it didn't finish until 10.

The staff are so so kind. Wanting to help with everything and always with a smile. The asked me if i wanted a top room or one on the lower floor. Because i’m a smoker i asked for one with or close to a balcony, so i got a room on the top floor with a huge (shared) terrace. Breakfast was great.

Loved the garden area, breakfast was great , the location is perfect . It takes about 20 min to walk to the in Durbar square . Staff is very friendly . Perfect hotel for trekkers and visitors who want to explore the city

Staff very kind and helpful

Everything was good. Very convenient location. You can find everything else nearby at walking distance in Thamel. The reception staff was very helpful with information. We had our bus at 7 am so they packed our breakfast. That was so helpful. Even though the breakfast foods could have been a bit better maybe, but it was okay.

The staff were amazing and helpful and the place was tidy and pretty.

Location is in Thamel so easy to get to restaurants and shops. Staff is very good. They looked out for me when I needed help to see doctors and to get around with a broken leg. Would highly recommend. Is a lot of space to sit and read. Very big restaurant area and also a roof top space to work as well.

The staff was polite and very nice- the hotel is at the prime location, and still it is quiet.the room is quite big and has strong AC, yet somehow it doesn’t affect the sitting room temperature much. Very good hot shower.

The photos don’t match the room- there is no microwave, and the breakfast is barely there. The rooms had cockroaches and the water stopped in bathroom faucet on the last day and it was spraying dirt. The WiFi only works in the sitting area and is too slow inside.

The stuff offered to pack my breakfast and take it away. The stuff also ordered taxi for me, which was very nice.

The toilet was blocked and I had to ask the stuff twice to unblock it.

The hotel is located in the center of Thamel so it is very convenient. Staff helped us to get a taxi to the airport, beds are comfortable, breakfast is very good

Great location with excellent service and very friendly staff. it was good value for money and an overall pleasant stay.

The only thing was the family room faced the roadside, making it noisy at night.

I had quite a long stay (3 weeks). The hotel is not that remarkable in itself as it is a little older than some but what it lacks in modern architecture it makes up for in the friendliness, helpfulness and genuine care shown by the staff. I felt I was in good hands the whole time and they went out of their way to make my stay pleasant and safe. I was not well when I arrived and they found me a local doctor; they guided me to places I would not ordinarily have visited and I enjoyed once in a lifetime experiences that were 'priceless'. I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at the Buddha they made me feel very special...and ask about their other 'secret' businesses, worth the adventure.

great location with number one staff in the heart of thamel with buffet breakfast. i've been there two time with my group in one year. i think hotel buddha worth it to value money and i recommend it.

Terrifically friendly and helpful staff. Located on the edge of Thamel and an easy stroll to restaurants, bars and shops. Rooms are spacious and spotless. There's a rooftop terrace. Garden restaurant and bar. It's our second stay. Consistent over the past 2 years as well.
