Great rooms, quiet are, super nice staff, very accommodating for any help we needed with the kids. Made us special breakfast because we had to leave early in the morning. Everything is great,

It is a very cozy place for a traveller who wants to rest while being in the heart of action in Kathmandu. It is a budget hotel / value for money / in the heart of action / cozy & neat. The place is clean and neat with wonderful staff. Mr Jaye was ever helpful and his helpful attitude has rubbed on to the others as well. Rooms are neat and clean. Well maintained. The bathrooms are functional and well maintained too. What more can you ask for when you return from a trek and want to rest and rejuvenate.

Emplacement super agréable pour profiter des boutiques. L’accueil est incroyable, tout le monde est aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner proposer du salé et du sucré, de quoi bien commencer la journée. La literie est confortable, un point important pour moi.

La douche sans rideau et au milieu de la salle de bain, ce qui fait qu’on inonde toute la salle de bain si on veut prendre une douche.

The location is very convenient for sightseeing around Kathmandu. The atmosphere is excellent, and the room was completely clean with no noise disturbance at all. The service was up to the mark, and the amenities were sufficient for a comfortable stay. Special thanks to Saroj Adhikari — an awesome person who provided great support throughout the stay.

What an adventure. I arrived at Nepal without much plan, only aiming to get ACT trek done and find out what’s available. Staying at the Thamel Boutique Hotel was just right start and everything worked out. The hotel’s location is right smack in the middle of Thamel - 3 Money exchanges within 100ft, 2 hr laundry service behind the corner and there’s authentic Korean restaurant right across the front door. It’s just not ‘fusion Korean’ - just genuine Korean cuisine. I was home with all these amenities. The facilities of the hotel is way beyond its price range. Sure, you won’t expect Four Seasons or Ritz in Nepal, but the room layout and the cleanliness of the bedding is just impeccable. The ample desk space was so helpful to organize the gears and clothes before trekking. Especially the help of staffs is well above any established hotel chains. The front guy Saroj was my virtual assistant throughout the 4 weeks journey. He constantly checked my whereabouts and well being. When I stopped over between Annapurna treks and Everest Basecamp trek, all my transit luggage’s were ready at the hotel and quickly flew over the Lukla. After finishing EBC, coming back to this hotel felt like coming home. Again Saroj did everything he could do when I was stuck at Lukla couple of days and made sure my return journey secure. All other staffs were also genuinely welcoming every guest. The lobby is not elaborately luxurious, but this is your true Basecamp for Nepal adventure. Enjoy the hotel, enjoy the Kathmandu and enjoy the Nepal!

We had a great stay in this Hotel. Rooms were clean, staff were very helpful (we had 2 bicycles and guys helped to arrange airport transfer) and friendly and breakfast was also good.

Breakfast was amazing, plenty to choose from

I had visited and stayed at this hotel on my family trip to Nepal from 6th May to 13th May . We were 8 people and spent 5 days at this hotel. The food , the hotel, the room and the staff were really nice . The staff is fluent in Hindi and English so there is no communication barrier. The food is really amazing and caters to Indians palate so you hardly miss home .The hotel is close to all shopping markets and religious places . We all loved this place and recommend staying here .

Location, location, location It's a nice hotel with very friendly staff right in the comercial area... it has a nice rooftop where we can eat breakfast and other meals. The negative points it can be noisy as there is a disco near by and we had to ask to have our room clean and the bed made every day for our 3 nights stay

We used this hotel before and after trekking in the Everest region - it was a wonderful, calm stay whilst being conveniently located to lots of shops and restaurants in the Thamel area. The hotel staff were really helpful showing us where to find things in the local area, and even made up a takeaway breakfast for the early flight up to Lukla. Saroj was also brilliant at communicating with us when we needed to change our plans for the return stay. Would highly recommend!

We have had a super experience at the Thamel Boutique Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and particularly Saroj, who greeted us at Reception and gave helpful advice and a very friendly welcome! The food in the restaurant was really tasty and excellent value, with a diverse menu. The rooms were really clean. It is also an excellent location to explore the city on foot. Our stay was lovely and we would highly recommend this hotel 😄.

This is hotel is great. The staff was so kind and helpful, especially Saroj. The rooms are clean, and they have a great buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order, potatoes, vegetables, toast, pancakes, yogurt,cereals, fruit etc. The lobby has a coffee/espresso shop with lattes, capucinoes pastries, etc. The hotel is in Thamel and close to everything. There are many small hotels in Thamel, but this one stands above the rest in value. I will definitely return.

I stayed here three different times during my 6 weeks in Nepal and was able to receive travel help, luggage storage, and wonderful hospitality. The complimentary pick-up service was seamless, even though my flight was significantly delayed. The driver didn’t demand for a tip. The best value for staying at this hotel is its location and the staff. Saroj at the front desk is incredibly helpful and will assist you in any situation. After checking out, I found it challenging to locate a direct bus to Besisahar at the Gongabu bus park. Despite working the night shift, he kindly offered to come out personally to help me out when I contacted him in desperation. This is truly amazing hospitality in the bustling touristy city. It was a great experience to stay for two days in the hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They tried best to accommodate my request for early check in. They gave me an upgraded room with proper ventilation. The breakfast was sumptuous to eat and they were accepting orders too. They made me feel easy and homely in a foreign country. I would specifically mention the good, friendly and helpful behaviour of Mr Saroj who was at front-desk who was very forthcoming and helpful. Once again visited this home away from home this time with the office team for annual kickoff. I chose the place for the extraordinary hospitality and support of Adhikari jee . From here we went to pokhara for our conference and stayed in a 5 star hotel . During the entire visit the team unanimously liked the Thamel Boutique Hotel as the best for the breakfast . Though the spread was bigger at the other more expensive properties but the delicious breakfast here beats every other place we tried during our 5 day trip . One of the colleagues forgot his wallet and other his watch and we were so happy that Adhikari jee so quickly responded to our call and kept our belongings safely handing over to us during our return from Pokhara If you have to learn how to bring smile to faces by exceptional service it’s a must stay here .

Exceptional Hotel.. has lift which is rare in KTM. great location. Staff including Saroj and Mandip makes you feel like home. Courteous and helpful. Clean bedsheets and towels, clean washrooms. Good quality breakfast. However, Breakfast can have some more options like pancakes , waffles and bakery items. Overall great experience. Will stay again and again 😊
