very convenient location, walk8ng distance to everywhere. Right by the river an boardwalk and you can see ducks swimming in the morning. pretty quiet! even people complains about train, and hotel provides a containers of ear plugs, we sleep like a rock. although it is pricey, $1100 cdn/2 nights, for the convenience and natural beauty it comes with, we will come back!!

Amazing location, right at the edge of the pedestrianized downtown. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Room had everything you needed.

Cleanliness somewhat lacking for a hotel at this price point (carpet stained, shower curtain stained, ice bucket dirty). Hot tub pretty boring and basic - doesn't tie in as nicely to the surroundings as the rest of the hotel. Staff ok but better communication around available amenities would be great. Also a nitpick but mass texts to every guest are really annoying.

Big slit under the door to the room. Rug always felt damp and lumpy. Some of the furniture looked like it needed some tlc as the surfaces had been ruined/warped.

Great location, loved the hot tub and you can receive a 25% discount for a local spa through the hotel which was well worth it. Very clean.

We were in room 6, lower ground, not that well sound proofed, could hear upstairs very clearly. A lot of emails received from the hotel during the stay which probably not required (like what time are you checking out today).

Alles ist überwiegend top! Klimaanlage vorhanden. Kühlschrank vorhanden. Bett bequem. Dusche war die mit dem besten Wasserdruck auf der ganzen Reise. Gemütlich gestaltet. Parkplatz. Whirlpool super. Lage direkt in Canmore ist Mega ! Nähe zu Safe on Foods Supermarkt und Cafés. Hilfsbereites Personal. Kein Self Check in notwendig!

Eine spühlmaschiene und Herd wäre wunderbar gewesen als Ergänzung des Apartments. Mülleimer sehr klein. Könnte etwas günstiger sein.

Lamphouse by Basecamp est très bien situé dans la rue principale de Canmore. Nous avons été très bien accueillies par Christi. Un grand merci à elle.

Le prix payé est exorbitant pour une telle chambre. Il s’agit en réalité d’une chambre de motel classique et qui ne dispose même pas d’un micro-ondes. La salle de bain était moisie sur les murs, il n’y a aucune aération et les WC fuyaient (colmatage au sol par du silicone). L’insonorisation est très mauvaise.

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel (plutôt un motel!) du 02/08/2026 au 07/08/2026 (5 nuits) pour la modique somme de 2700 CAD (1700€), soit 540 CAD / nuit (336€ / nuit). Le matin avant notre arrivée, la caution de 150 CAD (93€) a été prélevée sur le compte en ne prévenant qu’une à deux heures à l’avance (il y a très peu de réseau dans la région). Lors de notre arrivée, nous constatons avoir pour chambre, une chambre au rez-de-chaussée, avec vue sur parking, dépourvue de table et chaises devant son entrée contrairement à TOUS les autres logements de l’hôtel. Nous n’avons pas pu manger dans la chambre à cause de cela, et avons dû passer les 6 jours stores fermés dans la chambre quand nous y étions. Lors de l’entrée dans la chambre, nous avons remarqué que le frigo était cassé (ainsi que le radiateur, même si pas utilisé) et le sol collant. Nous avons directement signalé cela à l’hôtel qui nous ont dit envoyer quelqu’un pour changer le frigo et nettoyer le lendemain. Le lendemain, une personne est effectivement venue changer le frigo (en vérifiant, j’ai constaté que l’arrière du meuble du frigo était très sale, capsules de bouteille de bière par terre). La femme de ménage n’est cependant pas passée. Je suis allé voir la personne à l’accueil de l’hôtel pour lui demander quand elle allait passer et elle m’a dit qu’elle n’avait pas été prévenue et passerait le lendemain. Le lendemain, la femme de ménage passe en dehors des heures convenues par email, et se contente de changer les serviettes et d’enlever les poubelles mais ne lave pas le sol. Elle emporte avec elle la serviette à main qu’elle ne remplace pas. Le lendemain soir, un groupe de jeunes aménage au-dessus de nous et font une fête. Nous leur demandons à quatre reprises de faire moins de bruit et envoyons un email à l’hôtel entre 23h et 3h du matin. Sans succès.

The location was good but that was about it!

It was all a bit gross - just old and knackered and our fridge had defrosted prior to arrival so the carpet was soaking wet. There was nobody on reception until the afternoon so we had to live with it on our first morning in Canada. Someone then came to hoover up the water (no offer of an alternative room) but this was not 100% effective so we just had to jump over the main thoroughfare or wear shoes for 2 days. Not what I expect for £300 a night! It’s no better than a seedy motel…just don’t go there. I requested compensation and heard nothing.

Smart tv was not functional. Access to connect tv to internet was disabled. No cable tv as an alternate. Pretty much useless. There should be an ice machine available to guests.

The location was perfect.

There’s not enough parking. We didn’t have an issue but one guest was blocked in by another vehicle who was in a no parking zone. Apparently management could not locate him even though the car license plate was have been provided. It should have been towed.

There were about 10 wasps using the hot tub for water that wouldn’t go away even when we turned the jets on. So we decided not to get in.

The location was excellent. The place is close to town and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. Parking was available right outside the rooms on a first-come, first-served basis, which was very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and easy to access (ours was up one flight of stairs). Wi-Fi and TV were provided, and check-in was straightforward. The host was also very responsive and quick to answer any questions, making the whole process smooth. A mini fridge was also provided, which was handy.

The main downside was the air conditioning unit, which was extremely loud. Unfortunately, it was too noisy for us to use while sleeping. A fan was provided as an alternative, which we appreciated, but it was also quite loud for my partner's preference. If you're someone who normally sleeps with a fan, this may not be an issue, but we found the room became quite warm overnight without using either. One thing to be aware of is that while there is a mini fridge, the room doesn't come with any plates or cutlery. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's worth knowing if you're planning to bring takeaway or prepare simple meals.

The room was clean and comfortable, the biggest thing was the conscience of being next to the main strip of Canmore.

I thought the light switches were in odd places but overall not something that took away from our stay. Our body was was empty but we had our own. So again nothing major.

The location is excellent. The staff responded to our concerns about no heat and request for additional blankets quickly.

The room was damp to the point that our clothes left out of the suitcases were damp and cool when you touched them. Our socks were wet when wearing them in the room.

The location is good, just 20min from Banff

The facility is a motel which is marketed as a lodge. On top of it - no room service (cleaning etc.) unless you are asking for it 24h ahead of time and it is already 3 days you are in the hotel. Then, they ignore your request since they are short in cleaners. And then, the lady at the front desk don’t even understand that they just misbehave. In short - the least value for money I have seen for a long time.

This is a motel - being sold at exorbitant 4-star hotel prices. Avoid if you can. The beds were decent but the bathroom is no better than a hostel. Overall avoid

Bathroom was very moldy. The air conditioner was loud. The parking lot noise was annoying. Ice machine was only available if someone was in the office which was generally from 2:30-10:30pm so if someone needs ice in the morning for a cooler, you’re out of luck.

Unkempt stairwell to room. Narrow balcony…no room to pass by others comfortably outside. Much too expensive for a motel…I didn’t consider it a hotel…more like a roadside motel. Air conditioning extremely noisy…unable to sleep with it on and too warm with it off.

Perfect location right on the main street near shops and food options. Nice big modern room. Easy remote check in.

If you are in a ground unit, you WILL hear the upstairs room. The guest upstairs sounded like they were walking in circles from midnight til 2am. It wasn’t amazing when I had to be up at 4am. The room actually had earbuds provided in the bathroom so it must happen a lot. I did let the staff know and they said they would inform the guest. Not sure if they did but the 2nd night was actually a bit quieter.

The hotel was located in downtown and it was very convenient. The room was spacious and quiet without noise from the facilities. The staff were helpful. The bath tub was clean. We stayed there for a week and it was comfortable.

Wish there was a microwave in the room.

I really like the location, cleanliness and the smoothness of their check in process. It is the ideal place to stay if you wanted to explore and experience canmore.

Too bad we didn’t get to use the hot tub, it was one of the reason we decided to choose lamphouse by basecamp.

The room had a strong smoke smell and this is advertised as non smoking. Likely from long ago prior to renovations but still a very present smell. Secondly, I called the hotel to confirm I could book the room for my daughter (who's ID I sent) and pay for it with my card (which I provided for incidentals). Was told yes but then did not receive check in info - had to call and was advised info wasn't sent bc names didn't match. Why did Basecamp not proactively call me to inquire, especially as I had already called and the two names were clearly on the room booking?? Just left sitting in the parking lot waiting. In addition, the hot tub out of order - understand that there are times that this happens BUT guests should be advised BEFORE the cancellation date - the hot tub has apparently been out of service for a while. On the plus side, the location is great, right downtown and the room was clean. The staff member was nice when I had to call to find out why we not able to check in. Unfortunately, the number of small disappointments overshadowed the positives.

We paid 280$ for one night and wanted two king bedrooms but there is NO ROOM for anything except two beds! The room smelled bad like a cheap motel. Everything in the pictures look good but when you reach there it’s a MOTEL not a hotel!!! They falsely advertised the property

They bumped us to another property 25min away that had no hot tub or other facilities.

Great modern decor, central location, awesome outdoor hot tub and the high quality locally made soap and lotion were nice touches!

The room could have been cleaner. There were some long dark hairs on the bathroom floor - definately not ours.

Unlike normal hotels, they don't clean your room daily. I stayed for 5 nights and requested stay over (i.e. cleanin) service. Apparently you can only request cleaning service if you stay 3 nights or more. The shower water pressure is very weak, it takes for ever to get hot water and takes a very long time to rinse off shampoo and body wash.
