Every time was top quality staff we brilliant. Will stay there again

Photos are not accurate. Hotel advertised parking as free but we had to argue for it. The street side rooms over pub entrance were very noisy. Bathroom lights are on sensors that can only he overridden by shutting off room power. Wifi drops out constantly. Hot water took 10 minutes to reach top floor. Breakfast restaurant was good.

Night club underneath the room even on a Sunday so no sleep until midnight no hot water before 6.30 in the morning

We enjoyed our whole experience from check in to breakfast in the morning. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the rooms were clean and equipped.

air conditioning didn't work, room was very hot. a fan was supplied but had little impact on the temp. bed was comfortable but in general the room was a little tired decor wise. staff were very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was excellent with the exception of the orange juice from the chiller which was warm

Cleary's has a beautiful old-worldly themed dining room where a delicious breakfast was served. Staff were A* in terms of service and helpfulness. The lady on reception was a real gem and explained to us where to park for free (the railway station, about 1 minute walk away, which was free as it was Saturday night/Sunday. Excellent advice since the Leisure Centre carpark was charging a Euro per hour!) The bedrooms have older, dark coloured furniture but are spacious. The bathroom was more up-to-date in terms of decor and my only quibble with it was the energy saving lights which went off momentarily whilst I was showering. Some modernisation required in terms of decor but a very pleasant stay overall.

Disappointed with the size of room, no table lamps in room and main lights were too bright to leave on, had to leave wardrobe open to use light in it. Limited car parking, only 8 spaces in it and other carpark was 3 minutes walk up a very steep hill and very few spaces in that also. Leisure club was separate from hotel and you had to pay.

Broken shower head, water everywhere, reception staff not bothered, to busy speaking to other member of staff. Clothes that was in bathroom soaking wet, had to dispose of them Restaurant staff not getting food order correct. Overall a disappointing experience.

Had 3 nights in the hotel. Bed was very comfy, staff very friendly. Bar food was good. Carparking isn't great, but at least it's free. Room was a little tired, wallpaper peeling off in places and carpet was patched.

It was very clean, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Very poor impression when you arrive as a very strong smell of cooking oilwhich stayed until the kitchen closed. Please either install better ventilation or turn it on. Staff were excellent and very friendly. Thai restaurant was below average

Good base for this part of Ireland. Friendly staff. Room noisy at weekend 2nd floor due to entertainment. Bed could have been more comfortable.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times for work and the staff are always happy to see you and help. Nice food and good beers as well. Can’t complain one bit. 👍

stayed few times before and was great now it was still ok this time young staff were great just it seemed they were doing everything.room was bit dirty and the light in middle of room was viberating everytime the upper floor was walking.entertainment still good and i suppose it needs time to get back on feet fully.just more attention to detail and that should come from the manager.example the breakfast was grand but the milk bottles on table had dirt all wedged into the groves at the top,so bit off putting.also stop advertising the pool is part of their facilities,now we used it and it was nice and you get your money back from hotel for what u paid in.just needs a proper clean up over all and better management.like mangers shouldnt be going behind breakfast counter with jackets on dishing up their own breakfast,so lead from example.

Very disappointed with bed .bottom sheet not ironed and Bed of really inferior quality .got change of room .second Room a little bit better but bed still terrible ..two single bed jutted together ..one bed was awful.. you could feel springs as you lay on it.parking was unsuitable as you had to walk along way around to it and it was up hill and a long way from front door .very noisy hotel as you heard every body walking and talking on corridors as we tried to sleep.definitely definitely won’t be back

Arrived early and we're abruptly told check ins 4 o'clock.... although it said 3 o'clock on the booking form.....not a good start....came back later and the person on the desk couldn't be nicer....

Definitely no complaints about this stay. Close parking, decent Wifi, clean, good shower. Everything you need for a one night business stay.

Our stay was good. The staff are very good. The room was nice and cosy. A good selection of channels on the tv. Food and service was good. A bit overpriced though. I have one major complaint and that was the swimming pool. I could not bring my son swimming because the pool was booked out with lessons. One of the main reasons for booking with this hotel was because it is advertised as having a pool. The pool is in a leisure centre. Not in the hotel. Therefore it was open to everyone.

Have stayed here a few times before The bar shows football and the food is always amazing, rooms are a decent size, clean, bed is comfy and they have upgraded the TVs recently to smart TVs which is great. Only downside is the WiFi is terrible, doesn’t work in your room and struggles to work even in the common areas such as the bar.

Very convenient location. Great and friendly staff, clean and well decorated, good breakfast, what more could you want?

We had a great stay , however the couple we went with had to ask to move rooms as they got no sleep, they were at the front of the hotel and the noise from the bar keep them awake. They were moved when they asked and everything was fine.

no shower cap provided and bathroom soaps etc coffee, tea making supplies very basic.No bottled water and the making of only two cups of tea not enough

Poor WiFi. Poor lighting In room. TV poor only a few channels. Room's need updating. Night club part of hotel so busy bars but well staffed by students. Not too great

Very poor overall. Checked in for a one night stay. Other people seemed to be paying a cheaper rate than we did, I asked about this and got a vague answer about Expedia taking a higher fee. Then we got to our room, a staff member knocked on the door to fix the heating. It was on a list seemingly. We went out and when we came back two hours later the staff member was in the room again fixing the heating. We went to the bar for some food and when we came back up a plug in heater was on and the room was roasting. We opened the window but it was very loud. Really uncomfortable night sleep. Next morning the breakfast room was very busy and we were seated next to the buffet. Very rushed affair and not a nice experience. When checking out at 11 they were very busy and didn’t ask how our stay was. Nice town but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Lovely hotel . Great staff who are very articulate and friendly. Lovely food in yhr Thai restaurant. What a great hotel this is.

Bar was nice, live music in the evening was nice. I was on the top floor and didn't have any issues with noise. Breakfast was good. Rooms a bit tired and grubby, furniture scratched and stained, carpet grim.

When I arrived reception tried to charge me even tho I had already paid. Very noisy at night, bed was old and sunken down, TV was over 10 year old and all channels had bad reception. Breakfast was poor, coffee very bad. No Pale ale at the bar not even in bottles. Room service gave incorrect order. Wifi was poor

Hotel and rooms are clean and modern. Breakfast is fine, a self service hot breakfast. The food however we ordered in the bar was poor. The bar is nice and there is a nightclub attached and it is very noisy and lots of people shouting when people are leaving so if you are a light sleeper, please let them know.

Generally this hotel is fine, I have stated here before but this time around I was disappointed. When I went to the room there was no heat or no internet. I rang down to reception about the internet and was told it was down but if I had work to do I could come down to the lobby. With no radiator visible I presumed the heat would come on automatically which it didn’t. On departure I got a sorry about that

We had the most amazing stay the staff were so helpful and kind to us bed was huge bath and shower first class will be back for sure

First room allocated to us wasn't cleaned or made up ,second room was good reception staff apologetic and helpful .Reception counters too close to front door. We would stay there again.
