You are not able to receive a refund at all. After talking to the receptionist they told me that I had to email the manager but the manager has no mercy and just says no to you after almost 24 ours of waiting. The beds are very small. The lock on the room was broken (we usually left the door open on our room). The window can’t open more than a few centimetres. And during the night the room was so hot because of the crowd that were in it. The toilet’s cover was broken Every once in a while the was a very loud sound coming from the lobby or from the street which keeps waking you up during the night.

Right in the city centre near Leidseplein, my room was on the backside of the building so I there was no noise at night, which was nice! The staff at the reception was nice. 4 bedroom option for just a couple more euros. Great!

Quite a lot of things that made it uncomfortable overall. Mattress is way too thin and pillow too thick in comparison, i could not fall asleep because of it. No curtains at the beds so i improvised with a blanket (you get a thick and a thin one). No sockets at the beds, no night lights. Bathroom seemed very nice but the shower had a bad pressure, had to stand against the wall almost. It also had a ventilation system that would turn on and off automatically, but it took half an hour to quiet down after somone had been in there. SUPER annoying and loud noise. Rooms are 200m away from the reception in a different building, which was ok for me but if you’re looking to meet other travelers, not really the best place. Reception building itself was nice and cozy and they offered breakfast too! You have to rent towels too.

Rummen var inte alls som på bilderna. Väggarna var slitna (avdragen tapet), det fanns bara ett eluttag för 6 personer (plus ett på toan), inga stegar till våningssängarna, väldigt lyhört, ingen som helst förvaring (hyllor, krokar) i rummet. Allt fick ligga på golvet eller fick man hänga sina saker på sängen. Dörren till toan gick knappt att låsa pga sliten. Smutsiga golv, inte så städat. Finns heller ingen möjlighet att laga egen mat, finns endast tillgång till liten kyl och mikro som fanns i den andra byggnaden 2 min bort.

Me gustó que esté bien ubicada, a la vuelta de la esquina tenías museos, lugares de comida, bares y mucho más. Y también la atención, te dan café o agua. Y puedes sentarte a relajarte o trabajar

En si la habitación, es muy pequeña, y llegar ahí por las gradas también es muy complicado, las gradas son muy angostas, y el primer día que llegamos y vimos el baño, no lo habían limpiado, y las camas son un poco incómodas

The "lobby" is fine as they offer tea, hot water, coffee and muffins. They also left us check in early :) Really nice people is working here too.

Pics don't show the real thing of it. They left us on the outside room, so I heard the ring of the door at every minute of the night, the noisy door opening and guests throwing it down. People going upstairs with really noisy steps. Also the bathroom was not okay, they don't have something to get hang those up while you take a shower, you don't have hand towels or towels to get out of the shower . There is also no separation between the shower and the actual bathroom so they had to leave a broom for us to return the water into the shower. Windows leave all the outside noise come into the room. Curtains barely hide the outside lights. They only receive cash, if you don't have they will charge extra 5%.

Main issues: • No lockers available inside the room despite information stating otherwise on Booking.com • Misleading information provided on Booking.com and lack of responsibility from the hostel • Poor bathroom conditions (unclean, unpleasant smell, extremely limited space) • Room not cleaned during the entire 2-night stay • Window unable to stay open due to missing mechanism • Room excessively warm with inadequate ventilation • Separate building with no facilities available apart from the room itself • No solution offered after raising concerns (no room change, compensation, or apology) ------- Disappointing experience despite a great location The hostel has an excellent location, and the reception staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, several aspects of my stay were disappointing, particularly the room conditions and the way my concerns were handled. The room being located in a different building was clearly stated on Booking.com, so this was not the issue. The problem was that the building had no facilities apart from the rooms themselves, meaning guests had to leave the building for any other services or support. The room was very warm, and the windows could not be properly kept open because the mechanism to hold them open was missing. We had to use paper rolls as a temporary solution. The bathroom was extremely small, to the extent that it was impossible to close the door while sitting on the toilet. The bathrooms were also unpleasant due to a bad smell and lack of cleanliness. During my two-night stay, the room was never cleaned. The most serious issue was the inaccurate information provided on Booking.com regarding lockers. Before booking, I checked the FAQs to confirm whether lockers were available. The information stated that “we have lockers” and that guests needed to bring their own padlock. This clearly suggested that lockers were available inside the room.

La ubicación es buena por lo cerca que se encuentra a todos los puntos de interés.

Fue imposible dormir, no había aire ni ventilador, y dormir con la ventana abierta hizo imposible descansar por los gritos de la calle y ruidos. Las instalaciones de la cocina quedaban en otro edificio diferente al que dormías.

Great location!

The room is very basic. Small narrow bunk beds, tiny dirty bathroom. Staff are average, and there’s no common area or staff onsite / in the hostel, you have to go to another location down the road to pick up keys and check in.

A localização é ótima! Dá pra ir andando para os principais pontos turísticos, seja a rua do Mercado Albert Cuyp, a Casa de Anne Frank ou o Red light District. Tem muito comercio próximo... bares, restaurantes, coffeeshop, lojas, tudo! Os quartos tem espaço suficiente, banheiro dentro do quarto, tomada na cama e interner boa. Vale muito a pena e com certeza eu voltaria! Atenção apenas com as escadas, pois como todos os prédios em Amsterdam, as escadas são bem apertadas. Cuidado na hora de subir e descer com malas ou mochilas cargueiras.

Algo que é recorrente em muitos hostels, e nesse não foi diferente, a falta de cortinas nas camas, pra dar um pouco mais de privacidade ao hóspedes.

La ubicación. Estaba muy cerca de los museos y de la plaza dam. La calle era bastante concurrida con muchos restaurantes y tiendas

Para acceder a la recepción había que subir unas escaleras muy empinadas y muy estrechas. Las escaleras tenían moqueta y estaba muy sucia. Cuando hicimos el check-in tuvimos que pagar una fianza de 10 euros que nos la devolvía en el check out cuando le entregaramos las llaves y también nos quiso cobrar un 5% del valor de la reserva si no pagamos con una tarjeta de débito. Éramos dos personas y solo teníamos una toalla de ducha para toda la estancia porque durante ese tiempo nadie vino a limpiar. La habitación era muy pequeña y el cuarto de baño diminuto. Además la ducha no tenía alcachofa con lo cual si te duchabas te tenías que mojar la cabeza y no disponía de secador ni de toalla para secártela. La habitación no disponía de perchas, armarios ni cajones

No limpiaron el baño en toda la estadía de 3 días, no sacaron la basura del baño. Al ser habitaciones compartidas y un baño compartido, la limpieza debe ser diaria. No lo recomiendo si eres una persona que le gusta la limpieza

The staff and location

I think I didn’t do my research well because I needed a quiet place to be able to sleep well but it’s located in a very busy noise area and it was throughout the night until 4am. The rooms were very hot I believe this were the few things but for sure if you want a place to have fun all night without sleeping then it’s cool

Location is great and is basically a party spot with great food options nearby. The staff is very helpful and lets you store your stuff with them for free, which is great.

Location also became a curse because of the nonstop chirping of the people which made it difficult at night to sleep. Another issue was not having a power outlet near the bed which made life difficult.

It is very central to everything, I didn't need transportation on my bus to get to know the city. Close to bars, tourist places, restaurants. A few blocks from the hostel is a place where they rent bicycles so you can get around the city. The way the workers treated me was very kind. Check in was at 12:30, but I arrived super early, and they allowed me to check in. I was surprised by the kindness of the kids on June 14th and 15th when I was there. I recommend them without a doubt. I will definitely return and I will also recommend them.

Location was great, you need to catch tram to get into the actual city part but only 10 mins .. tea coffee was free to help self

The hostel was in separate building to the main reception just down road. The room I had was very very cramped with the bunk beds. Lots of stairs

Sijainti oli loistava, samoin avulias henkilökunta. Hostellin vastaanotossa (joka oli eri rakennuksessa) oli mukava opiskella ja ladata mobiililaitteita. Aulassa oleskeli myös kissa. Sängyt ihan mukavia.

Huoneessa ei ollut yhtäkään laskutasoa, tuolia tai naulakkoa, johon tavaroita olisi saanut. Suihkua ei voinut huuhdella käytön jälkeen kiinteän suihkupään vuoksi, eikä lattiaa ei saanut kuivattua kunnolla, mikä oli harmi, sillä vessassa käydessä sukat kastuivat aina. Huoneessa oli todella lämmin ja yhden sängyn lakanat olivat tarhoissa.

Nıce hostel

The receptionist was very friendly and understanding, even though the reception was at a hostel a 1-min walk away, they also let me storage my bag for free. I found the beds comfortable, and the bathroom was fully equipped. Access was very easy, the hostel has a metro station nearby (blue line) and important tram lines, so you can easily get anywhere in Amsterdam (i recomend buying the 24h gvb pass). I stayed in a room with only girls that was lucky and nice, they were all really friendly and kind!

You can hear noise in the hallway, and since some people arrive very late, it sometimes woke me up. I also thought the room had few electrical outlets for the number of people it had.

No Primeiro dia o recepcionista era muito antipático, acabei por ir para a morada 179 primeiro e ao tentar resolver a situação fui mau ajudado pelo recepcionista, quando me foi entregue a chave do quarto eu liguei de volta a ver se podia trocar com a cama de baixo , acabou por me perguntar se eu tinha levado o Telemóvel dele... queria marcar mais uma noite e o mesmo me negou e disse para marcar com o colega no dia seguinte, deixei para o dia seguinte e os valores estavam 3x mais caros que no dia anterior... isso acabou por estragar o meu fim de semana porque estava com malas de 23Kg e mochila com 20kg no dia 30 apareci as 9h com o computador com alguma trabalho e me foi indicado que deveria reservar primeiro e depois fazer isso... estou muito desagradado com este Hostel estragou o meu fim de semana de descanso, acabei por vir para venlo e os preços por noite estavam suportáveis!!!
