Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Lo mejor, y diría que lo único, es la ubicación. La zona está genial y cerca de los museos principales. A 20' del centro.
Esta claro que un hostal de habitaciones compartidas y sabes a lo que vas pero.... los colchones son un infierno. Camas estrechas que te golpeas con los hierros laterales que cada vez que te mueves, y almohada y colchon que hace que te levantes con dolor en todo el cuerpo. Los baños/duchas, son super pequeños. Estas duchándote y no tienes casi donde dejar las cosas, todo el suelo mojado y es super incomodo secarse y vestirse, no tienes donde moverte.

The staff treated guests as if we were refugees coming into a camp. No manners, then the cash machine wasn't working and started forcing guests to pay with cash. This is a money laundry business. They want you to pay everything in cash just so they don't pay taxes. Ah and if you wanna pay by card when the machine is working they make you pay a 5% on top that they should pay themselves. The taxes their business should pay they make you pay for it. This isba fraud. You go out of the hostel at night and when you come in sometimes i had to wait outside for almost 1h for someone to open the door. Staff wake you up in the morning to comform if you are staying or not. Like they have a system they should be able to check on everything about my stay. Why the hell wake me up every day i was there. The cleaner puts loud music when you are asleep in the morning. Don't go

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Dishonest staff, unauthorized card charges, and review suppression. I booked 2 nights through Booking.com for €177. Upon arrival, staff claimed the price was €181 — a different amount than what was confirmed in my booking. They then insisted I pay in cash only, refusing card payment. Without my permission, they charged €160 to my card. I did not authorize this transaction. I had to contact Booking.com directly to intervene and resolve the situation before I could even check in. During the process, staff also asked to handle my credit card themselves and insert it into the payment device — which I refused. This behavior is unacceptable and felt like an attempt to fraudulently access my card. This was hands down the worst hostel experience of my life. The staff are dishonest, manipulative, and untrustworthy. They will lie to your face, try to scam you out of extra money, and attempt to handle your bank card without your consent. It is a disgrace to call this place a hostel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. And to top it all off — after I checked out, they CANCELED my booking in the system, clearly to prevent me from leaving this review. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know about how this place operates, I don't know what will. They are scammers who don't want the truth to get out. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else in Amsterdam — literally anywhere would be better than this dishonest, unprofessional dump. I would never recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, offering a stunning view. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and checking in was a breeze. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Highly recommended
