Setting was spectacular. Staff were very helpful. Our bungalow was vast and very well appointed - the private pool overlooking the jungle was wonderful.

Awesome hotel set into jungle. Restaurant was excellent as was service. We stayed in top building so easy access to main pool, lobby and restaurant building. Loved the wild monkeys that came every few days to see what was happening- staff were vigilant about not letting them steal our food or get too close.

As with many Asian hotels smoking is allowed so for us non smokers the curtains and bedding had a lingering smoker smell.

This is our second stay with the Ayung team and it was just as good as our first stay. The property is stunning and tranquil and the staff are friendly and welcoming and fall over themselves to make sure you are well looked after.

The staff was extremely friendly, the location was great and the food was very taste. The breakfast was very good and the dinner was incredible. Gym was a bit small but very well rounded. Beware of monkeys😅 Spa was great and the prices were EXTREMELY good. Very well👍👍

What a fantastic experience. Tucked away in the middle of the jungle near Ubud the views from the restaurant are stunning. The room was fantastic and the staff couldn't have done more to help us. I am disabled and they were so attentive. We can't recommend this resort enough.

If you think this resort looks nice , just wait till you arrive, it will blow you away!! It’s like entering another world inside nature and the rain forest. The villa we had was like a palace its intricate carving on the villa is just fabulous. The peace and relaxation is second to none, yes you will get the odd raft floating down the river with a few screams form its occupants but honestly this place is Heaven and you won’t want to leave. A bit thank you to all the staff that have such an awesome workspace even day. We would definitely recommend a villa here so go and enjoy.

Location is approx 25 mins in a grab from the main part of Ubub where the shops, restaurants and bars are. However, this was extremely cheap in a Grab and there was anever a long wait when ordering. The hotel sits in the middle of a jungle and is very quiet and stunningly picturesque. Amazing views from room, restaurant and pool. Exoect to see monkeys on the resort and at times on the balcony. Room was spacious, cleaned daily and turned down each evening. Toiletries restocked along with water, coffee and tea. Hairdryer in room. Table and chairs along with a clothes hanger on the balcony. Only a few hangers in the wardrobe so may need to bring your own. Staff here are extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. They always greeted my husband and I with our names which was a nice touch. I have a serious food allergy and all staff were aware each time I ordered food and this made me feel very safe. I was advised there was a white board in the kitchen and the names and room number for anyone with allergies is written on there to ensure all kitchen staff are aware. Food at the restaurant was 10 out of 10,vast choice, cheap prices and a whole separate vegetarian menu too. Pools are clean and very quiet. There is a phone at the bar you can call to order drinks and food to the pool. You can also order things to the room and there easily. We had a day trip arranged with the hotel who assigned us a driver with a Arung Resort Car and he took us around to several attractions and sites which was fun, comfortable and informative. We spent a week here before moving on to Sanur and my husband and I really missed the hotel as soon as we left, I really couldn't fault it and would definitely stay there again.

we stay in a villa with a private pool. It was perfect. The staff are all very friendly. Just like in most locations in Bali, you need a driver. We loved to dine in the restaurant. The Nasi Goreng is the best we ever had.

Nothing serious. The whole place is very big thus you need a golf cart to go around. But it is easy to call one.

Just a sensational resort. Stunning location in the jungle, peaceful, monkeys and wildlife all around. Staff so attentive. Afternoon tea felt like we were royalty. Breakfast was divine. Loved everything

Great resort. Commendable service by Mr Supenu, ilayunu and the security at the main gate. The only area of improvement i d say was the welcome we got. It wasn’t the same rousing welcome as other exceptionally good resorts do. Good stuff. Pool side was pretty :) Everything was good. A little quiet initially but it grew on me.

Stay in the beautiful of nature is a beautiful experience and breakfast is good.

Due to the hotel’s high rating, we expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, the facilities are outdated, and the beds/ with metal frames—make a lot of noise, which affects comfort. The pool did not appear clean, and leftover food was left outside for hours... Additionally, the layout of the hotel is inconvenient. The buildings are spread out across a hill, and getting to the restaurant or reception requires to call a buggy from reception or significant effort to go up and down. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations.

The airconditioning was not optimum for the room size. The rooms are big and need higher tonnage units ( There is split AC and not centralised AC) or a change in the unit location

Tucked away in the forest quite a way from Ubud centre(not a bad thing!). Absolute peace and quiet. Birds, monkeys, flowers, orchids, the whole jungle thing!! Big comfortable beds, silent air con. Food sumptuous, service wonderful, cheerful and super efficient. Beautiful pools, original statues, a total retreat.

Incredible staff. Beautiful location. Huge rooms. Amazing dining experience. Can’t fault it. The view of the jungle from the restaurant was stunning. Very steep paths around the grounds, but plenty of buggies on site to move you around.

Wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds and the most wonderful, attentive, smiling staff. I believe this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at so we are baffled about negative comments! The infinity pool is gorgeous and so is all the food served in the restaurant overlooking the jungle. Absolutely breathtaking. It is steep paths but no problem as a golf buggy picks you up and drops you anywhere on site. Very interesting walk to the rice fields and village with Dodi which was very enjoyable. Thank you to everyone for an incredible stay.

Det mest professionelle, hjælpsomme og imødekommende personale! Flot rapport med smuk beliggenhed i jungle og fyldt med kunst. Aber på grunden da det er i junglen. Dejlig restaurant med enestående udsigt.

Die Lage des Hotels ist unschlagbar! Mitten im Jungel und direkt am Ayung Fluss den man sehr gut hören kann, was einem noch mehr das Gefühl von Natur vermittelt, das man schon ohnehin durch die ganzen Tiergeräusche hat. Einfach eine wundervolle und wunderschöne Anlage durch und durch! Das Hotelzimmer war auch sehr schön gelegen mit Blick ins Tal und somit direkt ins grüne. Einfach traumhaft. Das Personal war immer freundlich und man bekommt das Gefühl etwas besonderes zu sein. So ein freundliches auftreten hat man selten und man hat sich stets sehr wohl gefühlt.

Es gibt nichts was man hier auszusetzen hat. Wir werden immer wieder gerne kommen!

The swimming pool when you take the valley facing poll view room Swim in the moonlight (maybe a bat here and there flying around) Large rooms good Not enough drinking water go fill it in the lobby which unfortunately after a rain fills with bugs(though a letter in the room warns you ) Accessories ok in the bathroom Breakfast is from a menu but good enough and very tasty Most staff are courteous and pleasant Dinner food was very good The buggy leaves you a little up so if above 70 avoid that room They do write if you book direct a 15 minute foot ritual but it did not happen and no one even mentioned it Did not extend for an hour and half like we requested but 30 minutes I presume they were booked for those rooms thats ok i guess Worth the surroundings

This place not only met but far exceeded my expectations for a resort, I would struggle to point out any deficiency in either the accommodations or the staff, from the moment we arrived,and (we were 3 couples,) to the moment we left we had a great time, the staff from gardeners to waiting staff in the restaurant are super friendly and accommodating, we upgraded to the junior suite which was huge, clean ,well decorated and kept in good order, our friends upgraded to the premier pool view rooms also kept just as well, the breakfast was a delight good food options and service,with a great view of the valley, the buggys are a pleasant way to get to breakfast and reception, never waited longer than 5 minutes for them and we were at the bottom end of the resort, I look forward to visiting again and would highly recommend them

Stayed here for a few nights and it was amazing . A beautiful place. The staff where very friendly place was definitely 5 stars. Thank God for the buggy's as you are on a mountain and the walk to reception can be difficult . The pool was great with fantastic views of the forest and there was also a troop of monkeys in the area that would get close in the afternoon some even came to our balcony

I loved the setting. Beautiful views everywhere. My room was quite large and I had a big outdoor private space. The staff members were professional to a tee. Having read other comments, I wish to add that prior to my arrival, I was specifically asked about allergies to foods. At each good offering, I was asked again. The morning breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening meals could not have been better. Disputing other comments about lack of choices at tea, I have included a photo of the tea service. I opted for an all day tour; organized by the hotel. I urge everyone to do this. Wow!

The property is beginning to show some age. This does NOT detract from the beauty.

We really enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the restaurant team’s service. However, we feel the breakfast selection could benefit from a bit more variety—such as adding items like cheese and olives, sausages etc With the current à la carte menu is luxury but it tends to feel repetitive, with similar options like eggs being served each day. Introducing a few additional choices would make the experience more enjoyable and diverse.

The hotel is nowhere like 5 star or 4 star . Everything looks tired , dilapidated and in need of a refresh . There was no enthusiasm when we checked in which gave a bad first impression. Upon arriving to the room we had to drag our suitcases through the rain for the last part of the journey . No umbrellas were offered . The room looked tired and the balcony needed a good clean . The complementary mini bar consisted of 2 cokes and a small pack of Oreo . We then went for afternoon tea in a room that looked so dated . The host was more interested in her phone than providing service . There was no menu , direction or skills . We were offered tea or coffee and a small plate was put in front of us with no explanation of what it was as it didn’t look obvious apart from 2 little brownies . No allergies were asked or even acknowledged that we were there . The staff stood in the corner chatting , laughing . We then decided this is not a place we would want to stay and decided to leave the hotel . It was the worse experience and I work in the travel industry . We asked to speak to a manager and were told there is no manager on site . That didn’t speak volumes of a luxury hotel as they advertise. We then decided to go to a different hotel and wrote 2 emails one to the general manager and one to the hotel email address which we never even got an acknowledgement or a reply . This is the first for a luxury hotel. So stay away from the property if you looking for any level of luxury or service . You will be disappointed . I have told a couple of friends who were planning to visit and they changed their booking to stay elsewhere . I would rate this hotel as 2 star maximum and that being very generous . The location is impressive but the staff and the environment and the service is appalling. So stay away !!!! .

This location is great for the forest and the river if your into rafting also just up the road is a 4 wheeler centre the hotel is fantastic set on different levels with great swimming pools on site /the food on site is great nothing we didn’t like and all the staff are very helpful and will sort everything would go again to this hotel

If I could give it less than one star I would. On arrival the location looked quite special, buried in a valley in the rain forest. However, although everything we needed was provided during the check-in process, it felt like it was a checklist with no real effort to make us feel welcome. Maybe that was a lack of confidence thing for the guy but it didn’t give a great first impression. We were then taken to our room and there we had further issues. The buggy couldn’t park directly outside the entrance so we had to drag our cases in the rain…and were told there were no umbrellas. A hotel in a rainforest…with no umbrella??? The whole building looked tired. There was an area with some bookshelves on one landing and the ceiling looked like it was coming down. When in the room, the doors to the balcony didn’t lock properly, the handrail on the balcony was grubby and there appeared to be coffee stains and the curtains had a rip in them. The ‘complimentary’ minibar consisted of two cans of coke and a small pack of Oreos. That is not acceptable. As we arrived at the time of the ‘afternoon tea’ we decided to give it a try. We asked for a buggy to take us to the lounge. We waited by the entrance but nobody arrived. We walked up the track and found him parked round the corner. No effort was made to let us know he was there. We passed a buggy full of staff in uniform but not one acknowledged us as we walked past. The tea was served in a lounge area crammed with tired, faded and saggy sofas. They just looked grubby and I had no wish to sit on them. We were given a table and just offered tea or coffee. No menu and no options for either. We had to ask what option there were. Then a plate was just put on the table with some small food items and the lady just walked away. No asking if we had allergies and no explanation of what they were. We had to call someone over to explain what we’d been given. After that the staff just stood in the corner of the room chatting or holding personal calls on speakerphone. No customer service at all. It was at this point we decided there was no way we were going to stay. We asked for a buggy to the room. We told him we were just collecting our belongings so asked if he could wait maybe 5 or 10 mins….and he wanted to know if it would be 5 OR 10 mins. They were not busy….but he obviously didn’t want to wait. We got our bags and had to call for another buggy as the previous one had left. We promptly checked out after staying no more than an hour…and never want to go back. The website sells the resort as ‘luxury’ and ‘deluxe’. It lives up to neither. It was grubby tatty and tired. The staff lazy, unprofessional and unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. We raised a complaint to both the general manager and the main contact email address and neither have had the curtesy to even respond. That shows how little they care about their customers. Stay away.

A very special hotel in the jungle where every member of staff appears to genuinely want to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. All the food we tried tasted excellent, well seasoned and presented to a very high standard. The bedroom was spacious and very clean with a balcony view of the pool and green jungle beyond. You will never see a reception area quite like this one - with huge statues creating a museum feel. I had a foot massage, which was very relaxing. We used a private driver to get around the area. Very easy to organise and good value for money. Rice terraces, temples, waterfalls and The Monkey Forest all worth a visit.

A beautiful resort and fabulous staff. The grounds are spread out and because it often rained, it was difficult to walk up and down the cobblestone roads, so we were not able to easily explore the area (of course it was the rainty season). The other drawback is that you need a golf cart/buggy to move you around the resort and to their on-site restaurant which meant we were walking on slippery cobblestones to and from the buggy. The Resort is not to blame for weather issues. The value for our wonderful room and meals were a real value.

Ein Hotel mit vollen fünf Sternen! Der Aufenthalt war äußerst angenehm und erholsam, mit einem spürbaren Hauch von Luxus. Besonders beeindruckend ist das Frühstück mit traumhaftem Blick auf den Dschungel. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und herzlich, und die Qualität des Essens hervorragend. Das gesamte Hotel vermittelt ein Gefühl von Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit – und man fühlt sich jederzeit wie ein ganz besonderer VIP-Gast.

We booked and fully paid for Villa Wibisana through Agoda for a group of 12 people. On arrival, we were shocked to find out the villa was already booked out. No accommodation, no alternative offered, nothing. The manager/owner contacted me and said she was “on her way” to resolve the situation — she never showed up. We were left stranded with 5 kids and a baby, stressed and scrambling to find somewhere else to stay. When speaking to people in the area afterward, we were told this had already happened before to another group who booked through Booking.com. That makes this even more concerning. What’s worse is that the property is still listed on Agoda, meaning more people could still be getting caught in the same situation. Her only excuse was that she “never listed the property on Agoda.” That is not the guest’s responsibility. If your property is taking bookings and payments through major platforms, you are accountable. This was an extremely distressing experience. No accountability, no professionalism, no care for families. Avoid at all costs.

We LOVED everything about this resort! Room, facilities, location, dining, spa. Staff are absolutely wonderful! And the best ever Balinese massage. We were sorry to leave and hope to be able to return for a longer visit.

Once we took a Taxi from Denpasar airport to Ubud. My fiancée and me were not knowing exactly where we are going. But, when we arrived the property at night and We were welcomed, registered, and taken to our room. We felt an immense sense of comfort and an indescribable feeling. I can describe it as "STUNNED”

The food is well presented, the service is friendly and attentive, and the views make you want to sit back and take your time. It’s the kind of place where you don’t rush, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Staff are friendly and accommodative. The rooms are comfortable and well designed, making them a great place to relax after a day out. Waking up to those views is definitely something you don’t get tired of. The spa also is a excellent place that everyone can enjoy. Overall, this hotel combines great views, excellent dining, and a calm, welcoming vibe. A perfect spot if you’re looking to unwind, celebrate, or just enjoy a stay with an amazing view.

The Front office can be better but it might be a one time issue so nothing to complain

Perfect place to be with family, we were here for 2 nights and the stay was perfect. They have ma u activities for the kids to do and the rooms are very comfortable. I would like to say that the staff in the restaurant and spa are amazing and they were so nice and very helpful. Will be back again to this place

Öncelikle personel çok güler yüzlü ve her şeyiniz ile ilgileniyorlar her şey sizi mutlu etmek için tasarlanmış gibi restorantı çok güzel manzarası müthiş personel sürekli ilgileniyor hem akşam yemeği hem kahvaltısı müthiş. Spa bölümüne gelecek olursak nehrin hemen dibinde muhteşem doğayla başbaşa kalıp masaj yaptırıyorsunuz ve masaj ekibi de müthiş sadece fiyatlar bi tık fazla ama sadece bi tık çok aşırı değil . This is truly a once in a lifetime experience!! We stayed in the valley pool villa and it was INCREDIBLE!! We had wild monkeys around our private pool in the mornings and evenings. The staff are AMAZING! We booked the honeymoon package which I highly recommend - it includes a floating breakfast in your pool. I wish I could experience this for the first time over and over again! We love you Ayung!

Un endroit paisible dans la jungle, déconnexion totale avec le brouhaha du centre ville d'Ubud. du petit déjeuner extraordinaire , du lunch, du tea team, du diner exceptionnel. Vous pouvez prendre tous les repas à l'hotel , c'est somptueux. C'etait fantastique, fabuleux, ne rien changer , nous avons tous adoré! Personnel et équipe extraordinaire.

In the morning you might spot monkeys on your terrace, and at night you’ll hear geckos and all sorts of jungle sounds. The Balinese-style rooms are beautiful, with modern bathrooms. The breakfast and dinner are truly outstanding – served open-air but under a roof, with a wonderful view of the jungle. The service deserves six stars – the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and they really make you feel like royalty. We felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of here! Having a car definitely makes sense.

Le petit déjeuner était bon mais le reste était vraiment pas bien. La chambre sombre, humide sentant le moisie dans une suite, c'est vraiment honteux. La chambre qu on nous a donné par la suite plus petite était mieux. Les déplacements au sein de l'établissement n'était pas du tout idéal avec un bébé.
