Car parking is a farce , you have to pay and display in the car park 7.00 AM- 6.00pm , so if you check at 2.00pm you are charged £5.00 to park up to 6.00 PM . The biggest hassle is you then have to pay again from 7.AM the next morning so you have to set your alarm to make the payment on time
Excellent service and rooms very clean, breakfast is excellent, can’t fault it
Nice old building, lovely receptionists, no heating in the room or bathroom when outside temperature was 4 C - freezing cold inside
Lovely little gem - my room was in good condition given very old building and slept well and thoroughly enjoyed my full English breakfast! Staff very attentive and friendly
Very nice friendly atmosphere and staff were very helpful. A special thanks to Summer who kindly posted a couple of items I had left in my room. Beautiful courtyard would definitely stay again.
Expectations should be tempered by the fact that this is a 300 y.o. building on a very busy road in the middle of town. Bearing that in mind the hotel is very clean and full of character which makes up for any of the above. They no longer do evening meals but the breakfasts are epic.
Quaint olde worlde hotel, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast options.
Really nice Inn. Our room was lovely. Beds were comfortable, towels soft and fluffy and the shower was great
Loved this place. Breakfast, included in the price was awesome
Lovely place to stay and great host and staff. Look forward to visiting again in the future
Lovely, quaint place for an adult break. Breakfast was great and staff were helpful and friendly.
😊
Everything we needed with a floral courtyard and olde world rural styled pub restaurant. Reflecting the feel of a typical English village.
Accommodated our late arrival. Good room facilities. Excellent breakfasts. Extremely helpful staff, particularly Valerie. Very attractive courtyard.
One night business stay. Good food and friendly service means I would stay again when in the area.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic made to order. Rooms are large. Close oarking.
Staff closed bar early 20:30 even though there were clients still wanting drinks . Saved me an headache!!
Really nice experience from check in to Check out (including the good breakfast); room was really nice, clean and comfortable. It's the little things that help! such as it was great to have water in the room and fresh toilet rolls!!
They got room booking wrong, but quickly resolved it. Great food, comfortable room and friendly staff
Relaxed atmosphere in an idea location. Ticks all our boxes.
The staff were welcoming even though we arrived late at night. The room was lovely and the gardens beautifully kept. Breakfast was plentiful, full of choices, and offered with kindness.
We stayed here as we were going to a family party, the hotel was very clean and very friendly. Breakfast had a great variety if you wanted Continental or full English it was on the menu. We had the family room which I would definitely recommend great size room. Nothing was too much trouble..
I was very disappointed with the hotel and its facilities. I realise it is a listed building and very little could be done about access issues, I could not use my wheelchair inside the building. I could not have a shower during the two days we stayed because there were two steps to get into the shower. We could not open the curtains because the room we were given was on the busy street and people walking past could look into room. The room was very dusty and needs a full deep clean. We did not unpack because all the furniture needed a good polish. Room 34 does not have any photos on any hotel websites, says something for itself!! For me this stay was a reminiscence trip, having worked in Lutterworth more than fifty years ago,my disappointment was immeasurable. Having said all this I have to say the food was very tasty, the food was fresh and cooked from scratch, which does not happen in lots of hotels nowadays. The staff were very friendly, professional and efficient, which was a credit to the hotel.
Not
It is a unique property with a beautiful courtyard. It’s a little bit like a maze trying to find your room, but the room was spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast was very generous and delicious.
Nice old coaching Inn style hotel . Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast excellent and freshly cooked . Dinner good but restaurant closed on Fridays . Reception very good- willing to adjust room to our needs- I chose a quiet room at the back as I like to open the window. Beautiful courtyard. Lack of their own parking is a drawback but I used free parking in a road nearby and there is plenty of paid parking available. Good central location.
Friendly welcome, food good, staff friendly and helpful
Room next to main road and kept me awake all night. Food was excellent
Amaizing location in town and very nice interior yard space ! Very friendly staff and good breakfast have maked for us a very pleasant overnight stay . The only thing still to work a bit is the comfort of the bed to be amaizing like all the rest .....
Always enjoy staying at this hotel, Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing comfortable bed, great breakfast. Thank you :)
.
Staff friendly and helpful, "The Greyhound" as spotless as usual. I shall return!
Great stay, very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great.
The hotel room was a little tired and small. The room had a portable humidifier as i suspect it would be damp without it. The cost was very reasonable and breakfast was good. So all in all value for money
I was in Room 1 at the very top of the building in the roof space - the final steps to the room were very steep and narrow and in a fire situation they had to be used to get down to the fire escape on the floor below. Of the 4 fixed radiators only 1 was working and a free standing 1 did not work. The bath took 40 minutes to fill. The room was dangerous to walk through especially at night as the roof beams were at head height. There was a motion sensor light fitted but this did not work.
Lovely one night stay in 18th Century coaching Inn. Room was great. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Great evening meal and breakfast. Pity about the guests in the next room who thought singing at 4 am was a good idea.
Our stay was so relaxing and cosy. The hotel is excellent in everyway..
Friendly staff , excellent choice of beers in the bar and reasonably priced, weather outside was freezing but the room was lovely and warm, nice comfy bed , and a nice full English breakfast the next morning . So next time we need to stay in Lutterworth we will stay at the Greyhound.
Warm welcome from staff. Booked into room 27 - very cosy, comfortable. Good english breakfast. Great stay by a very friendly inn.
Very helpful and friendly staff , our room was at the front near the road but we couldn't hear the traffic , super comfy bed , the hotel bar was well stocked with cask ales on the pumps and were spot on .I really enjoyed the hearty breakfast next morning.
Nice food.
Room was comfortable. If you love places with charm and character this is the place for you. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The beer in the bar was great. Well served. Conveniently sited in centre of Town. A public car park is situated right behind the Inn at a cost of £5 per day. Free on Sunday. Overall an excellent stay.
Stayed her before, nice hotel, slight surprise to find an scotch egg from oct in a drawer tho lol
As good as ever-excellent standard.
Had everything we needed. Close to town and parking.
An attractive coaching Inn, full of character. Our room was nice but too cold and when we asked for extra bed covers or a thicker duvet, we were told the heating would be put on - it wasn’t. In the evening, I couldn’t get a hot shower but it was better in the morning. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the evening meal we had in the restaurant.
Lovely quirky inn. We had a 4 poster although I understand the other guests didn’t so don’t know how many rooms do. The property layout and the cozy outdoor space is beautiful. I loved it. Would go again
Really comfy bed - had a rare great ‘first night in a hotel’ sleep, breakfast service like being looked after by your Mum, bar has an amazing choice of whisky and nice courtyard - is clearly being invested in. We’d rate it a great choice for staying in the town.
Room very noisy due to loud creaking floor boards but very loud water system waking me up. Shower is tiny and very cramped with doors shut
Very helpful staff. We were off to a festival and we were able to put your belongings in the room before we left.
Comfortable, quiet and pleasant
Bedding rough, room baking even with fan, noise from terrace until late. Nice pub hotel
Very friendly traditional hotel in town center. Lovely generous breakfast selection and good bar area. Stayed many times and will continue to do so.
Clean, convenient place for us.
Happy to stay here again.
The owner and staff are so kind and thoughtful. We had a family room and it was perfect for the 4 of us. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent.
Liked the cosy bar. Friendly staff. Welcoming Hotel with charming character. Dog friendly big plus.
A proper, traditional hotel which is quite quirky in its layout. Staff very attentive and friendly, really comfy bed.
Really helpful and friendly staff. Quaint old building
Charming coaching inn- very friendly service, especially in the hotel restaurant. Old building so uneven floors even within bedrooms- creaky floorboards, narrow corridors, weird shaped bedrooms, electric heater to 'top up' the heating in the bedroom. About as far from a soulless hotel chain as you could get, which is all part of it's character and charm.
Lovely hotel, great staff
We have to go there 3-4 times per year and the standard remains consistently good.
Not the most comfortable bed but a good bathroom and friendly
Lovely place to stay with really friendly staff
The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was lovely and our room was great with a lovely comfy four poster bed but the only downside was the very steep steps into the room which were a little treacherous with a very excitable dog but apart from that we had an enjoyable stay.
Very comfortable place to stay and the staff are great. The Wi-Fi is a let down, sometimes works but most off the time it doesn’t.
great hotel, lovely little garden area and ambience, breakfast was amazing and the lady in breakfast room was super bright and helpful. I will def be back!
We had a late arrival and they were so gracious about waking up and letting us in. Everything about this property was fabulous.
Great service from all staff - we stayed with our dog and it was all accessible & cosy. Breakfast was lovely - really nice options and quick service.
Very nice hotel, nice friendly staff and plenty of choice for breakfast which was all very good
Staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent, slight mix up on rooms which meant we had to share a bed. Would definitely stay here again
This Hotel is stunning! the staff are Happy and are pleased to deal with you! The seated area outside is well kept and is a joy to sit in! I have read some reviews on the hotel about the hotel not having a mixer tap in the bedroom? Please guys its a Grade II listed building and the the Decor is in keeping with the building! run the tap into the huge beautiful sink and mix it yourself!! The Breakfast was amazing, clean and fresh. This will be the new place to stay for us! 100% happy customer! Thanks to all the staff for being so polite and helpful
Enjoyable as usual
We wanted to stay in a old-fashioned type of accommodation, and this matched our expectations. Our room was big and comfortable, just a bit of noise from the boiler nearby but we didn't mind. Food was good and the place was close enough to where we were headed too. Nice garden outside, and convenient parking (not included in the price). Only downside, the road outside is quite busy, and sort of weakens the peacefulness of the place.
Parking was paid in a car park next door to the Greyhound, although I was able to get it for free with a disabled parking badge and free parking on Sunday. The Inn was nice, with enormous bed. Full English breakfast was delicious. As we were there to attend a wedding we didn't spend much time in the Inn.
Lovely traditional English County Inn. Convenient adjacent pay car park. Very comprehensive choice of breakfast goodies to accompany cooked dish included in price of overnight stay.
Very nice place, lovely rooms, good food. Nice helpful staff
Lovely hotel, room was comfortable and the courtyard was idyllic. Breakfast was great. Bar is a little dated and the room was a little cold but electric fire and radiator did the trick. Parking was cheap. No real complaints except we thought the bar area could do with updating and making more inviting / cosy.
As good as always. Friendly staff, good food and perfect for us.
Our stay was as good as ever and over the years when we have stayed here it has reached a very good standard. Recommended!
Quirky old property so you have to dodge the low beams and climb the steep stairs but that forms the whole character! Staff couldn’t be more friendly.
Characterful and quirky. Friendly and helpful staff, room was comfortable and clean. Food was excellent.
Friendly staff, nice old building and good beer selection
We have been here many times and the standard is always high. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
Lovely hotel - beautiful outside area. The bed was really comfortable and breakfast (which was included in the price) was more than adequate. My only complaint would be our room was a bit on the small side for the price we paid, and also the waitress could have waited until we both had finished our breakfast before taking our plates instead of taking minecwhike my husband was still eating. Small negatives but overall a very pleasant stay. We would recommend this hotel to others.
Great receptionist service
The staff were amazing and the food was really good. Our room was fine but a bit tired.
Room over furnished. Carpet dirty. Dirty marks on walls. All surfaces seems in need of cleaning. Bathroom toilet, basin and bath clean but everything else needed cleaning. Extractor fan not working and shower VERY poor. Mastic needs replacing. Breakfast mediocre. Price of stay high.
Excellent hotel and staff. Food was delicious, would highly recommend this hotel.
.
A pleasant stay, staff are lovely and the food is excellent. Rooms have character
It was a quaint old place, but personally not relaxing for a business stay. Room was very awkward to get to and the bed was very creaky, there was a noisy de-humidifier and the radiators did not work. Hotel bar was well stocked and cooked breakfast was excellent!!
The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel is obviously quite old and had creaking floorboards in places.
Very good food both dinner and breakfast Lovely old hotel
!
Really historic and full of charm, with free breakfast and friendly staff. Just fix the door handle on Number 17 and we’re golden! 😊
This hotel is your typical UK town centre pub/hotel. The place was a bit tired in places (carpet, mattress, furniture) but room was clean and functional. Not impressed with the barman on Facetime whilst on duty, and discussing his personal life. The young girl at breakfast was very efficient and served with a smile on her face which was nice to see.
Staff very friendly. Pleasent room with a lovely 4-poster bed. English Breakfast very good. Only downside, floorboards from above very noisey, people moving about a 5am in the morning. Would stay again
Good food, good real ale, comfortable clean room & excellent service. I will book again.
Lovely location. Interesting property
