The dividing between the bathroom and the bed room is translucent and offers only minimal privacy. Maybe the part of the screen between, at least, the shower and the bedroom could be obscured a bit more?

This was easily one of the best hotel stays we’ve had in Europe. The location is excellent, the hotel is spotless, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well designed. One of the highlights was the complimentary minibar, which was restocked every day with two bottles of wine, beer, water, sparkling water, Coke, and other drinks. It was a really generous touch and made the stay feel even more special. The location also makes exploring Vienna incredibly easy. Apart from Prater and the zoo, we were able to walk almost everywhere — even with our 2.5-year-old child. Breakfast is definitely worth trying as well. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. We will absolutely return to Vienna, and when we do, this will be our first choice again.

The room was small but creatively laid out and well-furnished. The whimsical layout cheered us instantly. We loved that they supplied us with many free amenities - especially the wine that we could enjoy in the room or at dinner. There was even a coffee maker that ground actual coffee beans as needed. For sure the best in-room coffee I've ever had. Great location as well.

The only negative was a front desk person with a curt and dismissive attitude. Actually rude.

This is the second time we stayed in the Guesthouse. Still impressed by its location,well equipped room, friendly staffs, and wines in the room. We had a very pleasant experience during our stay. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Our room exceeded expectations—beautiful, spacious, and even better than the photos. The location was excellent, with most attractions within walking distance, and the view of the Albertina and Vienna State Opera was breathtaking. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly return!

Lage, Lage, Lage. Besser können sie in Wien nicht übernachten. Der Ausblick ist atemberaubend.Die Suite war sehr angenehm und schön. Das Guesthouse ist bei Aufenthalten bis 4 Nächte immer meine erste Wahl in Wien.

Frühstückspolitik. Es gibt Optionen in der Brasserie. Das kann aber sehr teuer werden. Kein Fitnesstudio, eine Yogamatte kann man aber bekommen.

When we first arrived, the bathroom sink was broken, and when we reported it, they sent a technician who made the situation worse and we had to change rooms, which wasted some time.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights on a leisure visit to Vienna in mid-June. It was a great choice. First, the location is excellent. It's a pleasant stroll of less than 10 minutes to any of the main tourist sights in the centre of the city. If you need public transport, you are also close to Karlsplatz where there are multiple U-Bahn and tram connections. Second, the hotel itself is very nice. It's smart but not formal. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. It's not in an ornate heritage building but it has a nice atmosphere. Third, service was excellent: front door/ luggage, front desk, housekeeping etc. We stayed in a Double Room Deluxe Plus. It's basically a junior suite. Very nicely appointed and perfect if you want a bit of extra space for a longer stay in the city. Our room was on a higher floor (5th or 6th from memory) and looked out over Albertinaplatz. There is a big window seat if you like watching the world outside. The hotel offers a generous discount on the room rate for longer stays, which made the hotel very good value for what it offered. Breakfast was good - lots of choice and good quality. We didn't dine in the hotel restaurant. Our only small gripe was that, while you have tea and coffee making facilities in your room, that does not include a kettle for boiling hot water to make tea. (I assume some kind of fire safety or other regulation). You need to call room service for hot water. To be fair, hot water usually arrived within two minutes. But on a couple of occasions, at busy times of day, we waited much longer. This is the only thing I can find to complain about. But clearly it wasn't enough to detract from our stay, which was definitely a 5* experience. If we were to return to Vienna, we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommended.

Wir waren bei der Anreise sehr früh dort und haben das Gepäck deponiert. Als wir kamen zum einchecken, war das Gepäck bereits in unserem Zimmer. Grosse Auswahl zum Frühstück - sehr gutes Abendessen. Reservieren ist generell angesagt in Wien. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder

Everything was perfect from start to finish. When we arrived, our room was already prepared, including the special requests we had made, even though our exact arrival time had not been confirmed. The reception team and room service staff were exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help, even with some of our more unusual requests. In fact, every staff member we encountered was professional and welcoming, including the team at the restaurant downstairs. The location was outstanding. Most of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. The view from our window, overlooking Albertina and the Vienna State Opera, was simply breathtaking. The room itself exceeded our expectations. Usually, when hotel photos differ from reality, it's a disappointment - but in this case, it was quite the opposite. We both felt that the room looked even better in real life than in the pictures. It also felt more spacious than we had anticipated. The walk-in wardrobe was a wonderful feature, and the large bathroom, with its generous bathtub and separate shower, completed an absolutely magnificent stay.

Exceptional location, great space, and absolutely wonderful staff. I arrived very late and was greeted by Valentina. She was so sweet! I called down for water after a long day in a heat wave, and she brought two bottles, plus a croissant - she said it just came out of the oven (it was 6am) and thought I’d enjoy one. It was such a small gesture that really made an impression on me. You’ll appreciate an all-included mini bar with beverages (you’ll need all of them!) and a welcome card that’s hand-written in your language. Rooms were city-size petite, but perfectly stocked, clean, and serviced daily. I will absolutely be back!

Everything really. Really great room with everything you could want. Lovely staff and a really good brasserie. In its own and somewhat different way it was as satisfying as a visit to one of my two favorite hotels in the world - the Four Seasons in LA and the Georges v in Paris.

We had a wonderful stay at The Guesthouse Vienna. The location was perfect, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay.

There was honestly very little to dislike. Everything was smooth and lovely, and the team made us feel very welcomed.

We stayed in a maisonette suite last month for a week-long stay. This was our first visit to Vienna and the location of the hotel could not be better. We appreciated the close proximity to the centre and were able to easily walk to almost all of the major attractions. The suite itself was good, but not a great fit for us. There were no blackout curtains in the bedroom (contrary to the pictures on the website) and the electronic window shutters didn’t fully close. We didn’t like the transparent glass walls of the shower/bathroom (a design trend we’ve never really understood and again, a different set-up to what is shown on the website). The height of the reading nook made it a bit difficult for us to access, and we found the steep stairs to the upstairs bed to be a bit much for us, too. The cupboard/wardrobe storage was downstairs and quite limited – we wanted to fully unpack for the week but this simply wasn’t possible, and we mostly had to live out of our suitcases. The coffee table books and reading material were all in German which is fair enough given we were in Austria, but this doesn’t really cater for an international clientele. Housekeeping was good. Our suite was very clean and serviced every day. The restaurant was also good. We had room-service breakfast on a few occasions and it was delivered promptly and the food was of high quality. We also enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant, though we didn’t like having to pay E4.50 per person for a ‘cover charge’ that included a bread basket which we didn’t want (or eat). During the day, the restaurant was clearly popular with locals, whom were mostly a young, well-heeled crowd. Indeed, the whole vibe of The Guesthouse seemed best suited for a younger demographic rather than us in the 60+ bracket. There were lots of things to like about this hotel and we could see why it’s popular, but we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The Guesthouse has a great vibe- you find it in your room where the design and layout is quite unique in my experience in a very positive way. You find it in the excellent restaurant, which does appear to be "a place to be" with many coming for brealkfast- make sure to reserve your table, although staff will find a place if you don't. You find it in the highly personal and professional staff. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay.

בית המלון עם רמת תודעת שירות מאוד גבוהה. הם ממש אומרים ומתכונים לאמירה "כל דבר שאתם צריכים, אנחנו נספק לכם אותו". מיקום בית המלון מרכזי וקרוב לרחוב הראשי ולאזור הקניות. החדר היה יפה ומאוד נקי. לבית המלון צמודה מסעדה מצויינת ומאוד מומלצת. לסיכום, היה מושלם, אם נזדמן שוב לוינה אין לנו ספק שנחזור למלון הזה, ואנחנו מאוד ממליצים עליו. תודה רבה.

Nice large room with wide windows. Quiet. Well equipped with an espresso maker and bar fridge. So many free things including daily wine and drinks. Daily check up to see if we needed anything extra. Staff were so helpful. A great place to stay and so central. Highly recommended.

I’m a non-drinker so didn’t realize the “free” mini bar fridge in the room was stocked with all sorts of “free” alcohol including 4 bottles of wine that is surely built into the price. (Of course there’s no free lunch and also no free booze). So if you drink a lot of wine and beer you may think this is good.

This is a great little boutique hotel to call home while visiting Vienna. We booked the double room deluxe plus, which was very comfortable. There was a spacious sitting area on one side of the door, with the bed on the other. The bathroom was next to the bed, separated by frosted glass (hopefully you are comfortable with your traveling companion watching you shower!). The toilet was fortunately in a separate enclosed room, and the excellent rain shower had good water pressure. There was a Jura coffeemaker that ground fresh beans when making coffee. If you want decaf coffee or tea, the friendly staff will have someone bring up hot water for you. The complimentary minibar is well-stocked, and we really enjoyed the wines they chose. It seems like a small thing, but having cold water available in the fridge during Vienna’s heat wave was a real game changer. Also, the A/C here was better than most places we visited in Vienna. The hotel overlooks a small plaza, but from our room we could mostly see the trees in the plaza, since they’ve grown up pretty high. I think this would be true on any floor except maybe the highest. But if you hop into one of the window alcoves, you have a pretty good 270-degree view of the street below, and can do some people (and horse carriage) watching. The hotel’s location can’t be beat, and every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Loved, loved this hotel! Absolutely perfect location. Great little restaurant and bar on site, which we took advantage of especially for cocktails before stepping out for the evening. The staff made us feel welcome and they went above and beyond with little extras including business cards with our name, complementary wine in the room, and the ability to purchase metro tickets from reception.

We only wished we stayed here on our return to Vienna! It will be our gold standard for boutique hotels! Thank you for the perfect stay!

The hotel is ideally placed for the Spanish Ridding School and Vienna's extensive quality shops and restaurants. The hotel has an air of quality about it, nothing is too much trouble for the staff to deal with. Its one of the top 4 venues for brunch. Our room consisted of a suite withe good seating area and a view towards the opera house. The bistro restaurant is open all day and the food was excellent. There was a generous complementary mini-bar in the suite, topped up daily.

No kettle in the suite to make tea, but boiling water could be delivered to the room.

2nd time at the property, and they recalled me as a guest from 10 years ago. Perfect location, next to all the attractions, but down a quiet street. Great restaurant was a plus. Staff were polite and friendly and helpful.

If I’m being picky I would say the outdoor furniture in restaurant is a little uncomfortable. Back the street and face other guests was awkward.

Everything about the room was perfect--it was spacious, impeccably clean and the general ambience and design were very inviting and pleasing. Above all, though, we appreciated the staff for their professionalism and readiness, especially the front-desk staff working on the afternoon shift when we arrived (ca. 6:15 pm). When they realized that one of us had his birthday they took the time and went the extra mile to prepare a beautiful handwritten card with birthday wishes and to send it with a piece of delicious cake to the room! The breakfast was very rich in choices and of high quality. The location is perfect for walking anywhere within the inner city of Vienna. We particularly liked the coffee machine with integrated coffee beans grinder(!) and the fully-stocked mini fridge that was included in the room price.

Rooms are very nice and comfortable. In-room coffee machine makes great coffee. Staff are terrific. Can’t get better location, it’s right across the street from Albertina and just a few minutes walk around the corner to the Hofburg palace, Sisi museum, .etc. lots of shopping, cafes and restaurants in the area.

Note, bathroom lacks a bit of space for your toiletries, but we managed just fine.
