Turangi Bridge Motel

The food in the restaurant was amazing. I had the fish of the day and partner had steak both cooked perfectly the cut of steak was a good piece with little fat. The potatoes were delicious. The bed was soft and comfortable the heater warmed the room perfectly.

The shower head, its one of those old school ones that you find in most cheaper accommodation and its just not as flexible as more modern ones. The couch cover was also very old and well worn and even though it had been washed just had that dirty look because of age.

Location was excellent as we all ran the Aramex Turangi trail run

Laundry washing machine very old and didn't spin the clothes properly. Took forever and dollars to dry!

Close to the highway and easy to find. Very comfortable beds

The shower door didn’t seal properly and water ended up on the floor. Also, the shower floor was slippery and I almost slipped getting in.

The restaurant staff were very helpful and the food was good.

The office did not come to fix the TV which was not working even though we rang them twice and waited 2 hours before giving up. Not well cleaned in bathroom with mould visible and the vent kept opening and closing loudly all night. No dish cloth to wipe bench, hole in corner of bathroom wall. The blackout blind was not wide enough so the outside light from the car park shone in all night and lit up the handwashing area so it was very light all night. The picture on the wall was not unwrapped? Very odd all around.

Restaurant on site, convenient to SH 1. Bed was very comfortable. Was ok for one night, but would think twice about going back.

Socks left in bedside cabinet, no HDMI cable for TV, so not able to use TV, pulled out couch looking for hot point found shells lollies and sand/ dirt behind the couch.

Worthwhile staying to wander over to the restaurant at the end of a long day, sit by the fire and enjoy a great menu and food

Location was great, it was a lovely place to walk the grounds. It was easy to navigate to our room and there was parking right outside the door. It was quiet, so good for getting a good nights rest.

The dishes hadn't been cleaned, there was what looked like yoghurt on the spoon from previous guest and coffee in the mug. Staff interaction wasn't warm, they weren't rude either. Then at checkout there was no staff interaction, just talking to an intercom.

Restaurant meal prices didn’t include taxes which most NZ restaurants do so price at the end was significantly higher. Also very noisy at night with kids running down the deck

The staff were great. We booked a twin (mistakenly) and when we arrived the receptions had no issues with us taking a double instead.

No sky tv for good tv watching, we don't use app or login things, just want full sky. Need some hooks in bathroom to hang clean clothes on separate to towel. Missed not having cooke breakfast available, as used to have

There was nothing to like here.

Staff were less than helpful. handed us room keys but wouldn't show us where the room was. The room door wouldn't lock, so phoned reception for assistance, next thing we had someone one on the outside tampering with the door - a bit scary when traveling with kids. He said it worked when clearly it didn't. He said "what do want me to do?" we asked for a new room, he threw a new set of keys at us and left. The other room, was disgusting and obviously hadn't been clean, crumbs in the kitchen and black mold in the bathroom. Hardly a safe place to stay

Got our key went to room they had a big machine and bucket of chemicals in it so they moved us to another room. The shower in this room leaked and flooded out the bathroom into the kitchen, so we had to shower in the sauna room. Didn't like that the hand basin was in kitchen.

Quiet room and off the main road. I used the sauna however by the time it was hot my time was up.

Next time I will book the sauna for a longer period.

Kitchen wasn't as clean as we would have liked.

We wanted a day stay only and wanted a rest and left early. Due to travelling a long distance we were able to utilise the express arrival times and the gentleman was very supportive and helpful when he noticed we had 2 tamariki with us. We will definitely book again. The linen and towels were very clean as well as the rooms, although the carpets need a deep clean to get rid of stains the entrance way and the couch beds need an upgrade. Other than that the environment was very pleasant. Next time we will do an overnight stay.

Everything was what we needed. However I was a little frustrated when booking the night before our arrival, being cut off and then reading there were express times available and mentioning that when we arrived.

Motel is situated in well kept grassed grounds with attractive trees. Its in a quiet location & so relaxing sitting on the front long verandah. Room was attractive & well set up & equipped. Restaurant was a good place to eat with of variety of tasty food.

Location was good and the staff were lovely. Beds were comfortable and pillows were great. Good stock of toiletries, crockery. Towels etc were clean and well stocked. Spacious room.

TV took a bit to workout, even with instructions. Room could do with a 'big clean' around skirting boards and carpet needs replacing. Appreciate the laundry but it needs a good clean.

Well laid out complex with good parking, bar/restaurant and friendly staff.

Really needed some refurbishment as room was a bit scruffy inside with doors not fitting properly on cupboards etc.

A little rundown but not bad

The unit was clean

Facilities were well below what we expand whar we thought we'd paid for. Obe bed was very old and rolled towards the wall. No kitchen as such (see photo)rudimentary washing up etc. Left with the strong impression that as we had booked through Booking.com we were given a lesser unit (the others we could see had much better facilities. Wouldn't recommend this property.

When we asked to change rooms, we were quickly granted that request, and the staff were very nice

The room we were originally allocated was awful, stains all over the carpet, and also on the sofa upholstery, including hoes in the upholstery, possible cigarette burns. When we changed rooms, all was well, but the door fell off a kitchen cupboard and also there was a leaking toilet. The staff addressed the problems as quickly as they could but basically it looks as if an overhaul is needed. I hope they do, because all in all they were very helpful, but the dreadful room at the start left us with a bad tastel I am also worried that someone added a review in my name, overrating the hotel; this seems like dishonesty

Location perfect if you are doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. You can be picked up directly from the motel.

We ate at the restaurant on site which was very good. The hotel was able to give another room, at a good price, as one of us fell ill and didn't want to get the other one sick. The staff was very helpful.

Good location. Shops nearby. Beautiful river nearby. Nice bar & restaurant, although we didn’t need to use these. Bed was comfortable.

Our room could have been cleaned better. Curtains were so long that they would get caught in the ranch slider and were already torn. Small couch looked dirty so I didn’t want to sit on it.

Staff were lovely if you decide to do the Tongariro crossing it is only 20mins drive to the car park. Room was clean and tidy. Staff were all lovely Restaurant was good
