Reviewed Aug 17, 2026トイレ 洗面所 浴場 部屋の清潔感は良好。 前庭は比較的 手入れされている。 (宿舎から見える中庭や廊下に面する庭の手入れがもう少し鑑賞に耐えるものであればと残念に思った。) 写経や護摩供養を追加費用なしでさせて頂いた。 食事やその器は良いものが使われている様に感じた。
部屋の鍵の状態が悪く 開錠が非常に困難で入室に苦労した。 我々以外の宿泊客は 海外の方ばかりで 共用の浴場は 下着をつけて入浴する女性も居て(入浴に対するマナーのPRが不十分)不潔感、不快感を持った。 護摩供養や朝のお勤めは 厳粛さに欠ける、若い修行僧の実習の場として利用されている様に思われた。

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Solide Unterkunft in einem Kloster. Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Feuerzeremonie war interessant. Meditation 30 Minuten gemeinsam still sitzen auch ok. Onsen sehr angenehm aber leider keine Duschkabinen. Abendessen sehr gut. Tee am Zimmer, das recht groß war. Bekam einen Sessel zum Essen und im Zimmer, was ich sehr nett fand. Daimon Gate gut 20 Minuten entfernt. Der Eingang zum Friedhof keine drei Minuten entfernt. Sehr ruhig, weil nicht direkt an der Straße.
Frühstück japanisch und vegetarisch, das ist leider nicht nach unserem Geschmack gewesen.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The monks were incredibly kind, respectful & helpful. We felt honoured to be able to watch their morning prayers & the fire ceremony. They were both amazing experiences, that were included in the price of our stay. The location was fantastic for exploring Koyasan and very close to the Okunoin Cemetery which we participated in a night tour of (would recommend!). Dinner & breakfast were included in our stay - these are traditional Buddhist dishes, we felt very grateful for the hospitality and beautiful presentation of the food. Some of it wasn't to our taste, simply because we aren't used to it and it's very different to typical Western food, but we did enjoy some dishes. The onsen was great in the temple, and there is beautiful pond with lots of Koi fish in that you can sit and relax by. Sitting there was exactly how I had imagined Japan, it was so beautiful.
We struggled with the futons on the floor as we found them very uncomfortable and thin, however this is just because we aren't used to sleeping on them. There was a musty, unpleasant smell on the futons and sheets that also made it hard to sleep.

The overhead lights in our room were fluorescent and very bright. There were no other lights-we did not have lighting. That was a little uncomfortable. The Japanese bath is a little uncomfortable for modest guests. But that’s a personal quirk.

Food was delicious and the entire place has a magic that is hard to explain. You feel the good vibes and the focus on the present. Will go back!

Reviewed May 31, 2026Posizione comoda nel centro di Koyasan molto vicino alla fermata dell'autobus e al tempio Okunoin. Esperienza molto bella e intensa, cena e colazione molto buone. Consiglio se si vuole vivere un'esperienza simile a contatto con i monaci che vivono nel tempio e si è cuoriosi di conoscere il loro modo di vivere e la storia di uno dei posti più sacri del Giappone!

Reviewed May 22, 2026Soggiornare al Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin è stata un'esperienza indimenticabile. I monaci sono stati gentilissimi e super disponibili nello spiegarci ogni dettaglio. Ho partecipato a tre cerimonie bellissime e profonde: la suggestiva meditazione serale, la preghiera del mattino prima di colazione e l'emozionante cerimonia del fuoco. Nota di merito anche per la cucina: i pasti vegetariani erano buonissimi e ricchi di sapore. Camera pulita, confortevole e accogliente. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca un'immersione autentica sul Monte Koya!

Špatná angličtina, nebylo jim moc rozumět. Vswchny ceremoniály vedl velmi mladý mnich a bylo to spíše rozpačitější. Viděli jsme ohňový ceremoniál nedaleko v jiném klášteře, kde zpívalo více mnichů, hráli na bubny a další nástroje a bylo to magické oproti tomuto spíše velmi komornímu provedení.

Una pena que el staff no hable inglés. Sentimos que no llegamos a conocer bien su religión ni su modo de vida, que era lo que nos interesaba. Después de las meditaciones, había una larga explicación en japonés, y la traducción de después en inglés se quedaba siempre corta y muy banal. Además, aunque disfrutamos de la experiencia, creo que es demasiado caro para lo que es.

Purtroppo il momento della preghiera e' stato vissuto con distacco perche' non e' stata data una spiegazione in inlgese di quello che sarebbe avvenuto e di come si sarebbe dovuta svolgere la meditazione.

Stanza per me troppo fredda e umida ( dopo un pó ha smesso di funzionare la stufetta e ciao ciao) il cibo non mi è particolarmente piaciuto. Consiglio di portarsi qualcosa da mangiare dietro sennó è difficile tra cena e colazione portare a casa un pasto completo

Wir finden, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt überhaupt nicht. Es war mit Abstand unsere teuerste Nacht und dafür bekommt man wenig Komfort, schläft auf schlechten Matratzen und mittelmäßiges Essen.

La meditación no fue lo que esperaba. No hablan inglés casi nada. No se entiende nada de lo que hablan. Eso fue una lastima. El onsen muy básico. La comida muy muy rara. Nosotros comemos de todo pero la cena no fue rica.

A little more information on the ceremonies and what to expect and maybe a few words on the temple itself and temple life would have added to the stay. Loved walking around the cemetery.
