Es un hotel que en los años 80’s debió ser de 5 estrellas. Actualmente requiere -en mi opinión- una renovación y modernización. El baño sobre todo está desactualizado. La ducha estaba a la altura de mi cabeza. Era una regadera/alcachofa antigua que no se quedaba levantada porque estaba floja, no había ducha de mano/telefono. En general, lo dicho: el hotel requiere de modernización, pero sobre todo los baños -al menos el de mi habitación-. El resto muy bien, muy limpio, y el personal amable y atento.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026This hotel did not live up to the five-star standard it advertises. While the rooms are spacious, the overall property feels quite dated. The internet connection was slow, the safe in our room wasn’t functioning properly, and the hair dryer was broken. Although the beds are large, they were extremely uncomfortable and exceptionally firm, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The staff were polite and courteous, but very few spoke English. This made even simple interactions challenging, which is disappointing for a hotel in the capital city that markets itself as a five-star property. Overall, our stay fell short of expectations, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or choose to stay here again.

-La regadera si es un poco resbalosa puede ser peligrosa. -La cama y almohadas son una piedra, muy horribles. -Debería haber plancha, muy amables la solicité y me la llevaron, pero me parece debería haber una en cada habitación.

El personal muy poco atento. Servicio a la habitación tuvimos que marcar hasta tres veces para conseguir unas colchas. La facturación en el restaurante mal planeada y no encontraban nuestras facturas. En general el costo no justifica la estancia. Las habitaciones ya algo viejas, con instalaciones descuidadas. Hasta encontramos botellas de alcohol en los closest, no sé si de otro huésped. En general necesitan una mejor administración y manejo de personal.

The hotel is clean, but the whole place is worn out and very dark. The toilet flush didnt work well. All but fancy and romantic, but OK if you look for a bed for the night…

Reviewed Jul 10, 2025The good: Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. They quickly learned my name and room number and always greeted me with a smile. The hotel is located in a nice and safe area, with plenty of restaurants, stores and public transportation within walking distance. No, no tourist attractions nearby, if that is what you are looking for but public transportation can get you there through Mexico City's traffic faster than if you try a car of any kind. The neighborhood is reasonably quiet at night, except for the (perhaps) occasional ambulance or police siren, but not severe. Something you might expect in a large city. The not-so-good: I don't know if this is a security feature or what? but I have not experienced this anywhere else: you need to get your key card re-coded daily. Once you know it you learn to deal with it. On the second day, the staff recognized us and quickly prepared new cards for us before we reached the front desk. Some aspects of the hotel need updating, such as the seating in the lobby. The room was OK given the age of the building. Expect comfortable but not luxury accommodation. In summary: We like this hotel for many reasons and continue to stay there when we visit Mexico City.
