Glen Haven Bed and Breakfast

The hostess was very friendly and welcoming.

The location was great ... Very close to the township & local shops. The bed was comfy!

Unfortunately we had so many issues with this booking. We couldn't find the property to begin with. Our maps took us to a house where the owner said it happened often that strangers would turn up. He kindly directed us to the property. When we got there I messaged the owner & was given the incorrect code for the lockbox. This took some time to sort out but once inside, we then had to find room keys & our way around the property. Other guests turned up and they too found their way around. Our cons were; The fan in the bathroom is very noisy & stays on for quite some time Check in is between 1600 - 1900 but check out is between 0900 - 1000 so what you pay isn't worth it There wasnt access to a fridge anywhere in the accessible areas so all the cereals couldn't be had as there was no milk The other guests were placed upstairs (us downstairs) & until they went to bed, there was continuous, quite loud steps & voices to be heard When we were leaving, we found the other guests had left the front door open - Not just unlocked but open

I had a pleasant stay. The room was quite comfortable and cozy, and the Wi-Fi worked very well throughout my visit. Breakfast was decent and a good start to the day. The host was very helpful and gave me good advice for my journey, which I really appreciated.

Noise from inside the house can be noticeable, though it didn’t affect my overall stay. The location might not be the most convenient if you don’t have a car, but it’s still easy to reach the Marina corner and the beach.

Very clean and well maintained with a very attentive hostess. We were very well taken care of. The room was very comfortable. The private bathroom was outside the bedroom, but still nice and private, so no issues really. It's in a quaint neighborhood that feels very safe.

Das Zimmer wird mit 28m² beworben. ACHTUNG: Es ist maximal 14m² groß, inkl. Bad!!! In Juni hieß es, dass es in Internet bald geändert werden sollte, nun in August ist es immer noch mit 28m² im Booking beworben... das ist nicht fair. La chambre est annoncée comme ayant 28m². ATTENTION: Ce sont en fait seulement 14m², SdB comprise. Lors de notre séjour en juin, on nous a dit que cela serait bientôt changé. 2 mois plus tard, ce n'est pas le cas. Ceci n'est pas correct.

Séjour très agréable. Bon emplacement et extrême gentillesse de la propriétaire. Toujours aux petits soins pour nous. Tout était parfait. A recommander .

Aparcar en la zona de acceso a la casa. Aunque la dueña no estaba, Irene nos facilitó una contraseña para obtener la llave y acceder.

Teníamos baño exterior privado, pero al llegar estaba usado (sucio) y no tenía llave para asegurar que nadie más lo usaba. Cama de muelles.

The room was described as deluxe, this description is misleading.I would not even call it standard, , basic would be a fair.description .The towels were small and thread bare.. The name is also misleading Glen Haven Bed and Breakfast but breakfast is not included in price. Then we were told cash only was acceptable for payment of breakfast. We booked for two nights but the room or on suite was not even cleaned or tidy up. Hospitality was none existant. Would not stay there again or recommend to others.

The host Irene was very friendly and even gave us some great dinner recommendations. The room was well equipped, and the bathroom was in good condition. Parking is available right in front of the house, the area is nice and quiet, and the town center is within walking distance. The only minor downside: the room was a bit small, so it was a bit tricky to store our luggage.

Great host, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and lovely breakfast, parking and free WiFi, everything we needed 👌. Will definitely be back again.

Room was clean and comfortable. Excellent location to check out Ballycastle on foot and easy to drive out of town to see nearby attractions on the coast. Irene makes a great breakfast and has a selection of options to choose from. She also suggested a few pubs in town for traditional music and we had a lot of fun! Very nice experience here.

Irene is a lovely host, she makes you feel so welcome, we arrived late and she rang a local restaurant for us just as they were closing last orders, so they hung on for us and we had a great meal. The room was clean and bed very comfy.

Irene is so lovely. She made our stay very nice and comfortable. It is only a 15 minute walk into town.

Highly recommend this B&B. Reasonable price, nice location specially Irene was so lovely and welcoming. She made you feel like home at the minute you stepped into the door. Breakfast was lovely too. She also gave you all info you need, recommended places to go. Don't hesitate to book for your stay, you won't be dissappointed, I promise!

I had to make a very last minute booking due to a cancelled ferry, but I was still made to feel very welcome and Irene went above and beyond for me. Nice location, good facilities - would highly recommend

The host wasn’t there, we were alone in the property! There was no cooked breakfast we had to ask the young man who let us in,to go and buy milk and a couple of pots of instant porridge! Although there was other cereal at the far side of the breakfast room! Yea/coffee was in the utility. Couldn’t get into breakfast room as there was washing drying out all over it. The young man was very polite and managed to get the heating on for us.

No glasses in bedroom and no drinks provision in the bedroom. Lumpy mattress, obnoxious smell emanating from bathroom.

One of the mattresses was so worn out that the springs were noticeable. The TV remote was working only close to the receiver.

Glen Haven is a clean and cozy, friendly and helpful B&B, close enough to walk into Ballycastle and to public bus routes to the Giants' Causeway and Coleraine. We arrived a bit early in a heavy downpour and fairly soaked, and Irene helpfully answered our call and explained how we could get into our room before check-in time.

Our room quickly got cluttered with our wet things and bags and some more hanging and storage space in the bedroom and bathroom would make a big difference. More sockets for charging the increasing numbers of gadgets we carry would also be helpful, and tea making facilities in the room would be great.

Sehr nette eigentümerin, die Betten und das Zimmer waren super. Sauberkeit ebenfalls.

Der Frühstücksaufpreis für ein in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmtes Essen aus Fertigprodukten ist absolut indiskutabel, Die Dusche hat nicht allzu gut funktioniert, Elektordurchlauf erhitzer.

Short walk into the centre of Ballycastle

Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und gab uns auch Tipps für das Abendessen. Das Zimmer hatte alles, was man braucht. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls in Ordnung.

Relativ teuer dafür, dass die Unterkunft ziemlich ausserhalb in einem Wohnquartier gelegen ist und das Zimmer ziemlich klein ist für 3 Personen. Aber für eine Nacht war es okay.
