Our server the second night of our kaiseki dinner was not as refined as the first server we had. She quite noticeably less-professional.

部屋の温泉が良かった
Exceptionally gorgeous, exceptionally hospitable. We have a large room with an in room Onsen perfect for her stay. Hotel is crafted with a very cozy and polished wood hi craftsmanship interior. .
The food is strictly Japanese style and very high-quality, the multicourse breakfast got a bit lengthy, without western breads, or offerings.
It was the first time to Konbu Onsen. Clean spacious room with outside jacuzzi. Service was great and the food was spectacular!
Very pricey!
i was suppose to stay in this property however their onsen tank was damage and so i was given the option to choose another of their property’s. we chose the one at lake shikotsu. everything was lovely and zen
can’t find any fault. perfecto
My sister and I loved everything!! The staff was so so so accommodating and kind!!! The food was exceptional! I actually made some videos about our stay! Peaceful and impeccably staffed.

Quiet location. Great onsen. Great service.
Beautiful design and concept. Rooms are spacious and well appointed, even with massage chair. Food is wonderful as is inclusive drinks.
For this price level I expect service to be on par with the rest of Japan. Staff are more seasonal than professional hotel staff. One example, staff always had to ask our room number for dinner despite our staying multiple days and going at a designated time. Even restaurants on the mountain that we went to multiple days remembered who we were even though they serve many more customers. Onsen is beautiful but water was tepid.
If you're looking for a serene, traditional way to enjoy your time in Niseko, this place is perfect. It feels like you're living in a giant spa. The onsens were wonderful and rarely had anyone else in them. Our in-room onsen was also so luxurious with a beautiful view of the forest and creek. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The highlight for me was that they'd run out and clean the snow off your car every morning when you needed it. The food was also exceptional, though as an American, we eventually grew a bit tired of the elaborate traditional meals. There was some unusual stuff on the menus and we felt bad not eating it all. Expect 10 courses often with 20+ small dishes for every dinner and breakfast. It felt very special but 3 days worth started to get a bit overwhelming. Overall, a really great stay that i'd recommend to anyone. Make sure you get a car, though, to make transportation easy between the ski resorts and villages.
The property was so tasteful and elegant.

Good food, quiet and clean
Free drinks, leisure and staff hospitality
The cleanliness, great staff performance, most of them speak English fluently and in great willing to support our stay. Food is great both at dinner and breakfast. Our impressed story is that When I moved to next hotel in Sapporo next day, I realized I forgot some of my clothes at the hotel. I message the the hotel : they managed quickly to arrange for deliver those to my new hotel and even phone contact to our hotel for the arrangement. I am very impressed in their hospitality and professional , I have already received the cloths 2 days later. Recommended this onsen !

Excellent service, nice waterfall views, good wifi and excellent meals. They have massage chair in our room and the private onsen in our room has temperature setting.

This was an amazing facility to stay. The onsen area was clean and relaxing. The staff was so attentive and nice. I truly enjoyed my stay with my friend. I am looking forward to go back.
An incredible experience. Summer means green everywhere and wildflowers. Everything at the hotel was perfect with warm and attentive staff, beautiful and spacious suite with private outdoor onsen overlooking roaring stream, and unforgettable epic breakfasts and dinners made largely with local ingredients served in your private dining room. There is also a beautiful public area with expansive library, outdoor deck and foot spa and complimentary beverages including various wines and juices. This small hotel represents the best of Hokkaido. Finally, the location is somewhat isolated from Niseko proper, but there are nice hikes a few steps away and e-bikes to rent. We had a rental car which made life easier. The hotel arranged a great whitewater rafting trip for a full afternoon. Your Hokkaido trip must include at stay at this perfect small onsen hotel.Romantic

素晴らしい宿でした。またお伺いしたいです。
部屋付きで貸切の露天風呂が最高でした
朝ごはんのデザートがなかなか出てこなかったです
The onsen was amazing. The room had a massage chair. The complimentary drinks at night were perfect mixed with the jazz in the beautiful lounge or outside in the footpath. The food was fun and fancy and delicious. The sounds of the stream and the waterfall were the perfect ways to sleep.
We didn’t have a car and so had to get taxis to many places because it was remote - which was not ideal. It is pricey but feels absolutely worth it!
Very beautiful place and super friendly staff
Was really good to be there.
Room and facilities are excellent. The onsen is beautiful.
The staff is not as friendly as other hotels. They are polite but we would expect more considering the price. Food at the restaurant is average, nothing exceptional.
The service and the views were exceptional. I have never felt so relaxed in my life.
Very elegant and prestigious Ryokan. Hotel staff was very polite and respectful. Breakfast and dinner was an absolute highlight. Easy access to ski slopes with the hotel shuttle.
Only have twin beds available.
The Onsen was amazing. The meals prepared were exceptional. The bed were surprising comfortable as the mattress is pretty firm and the pillow has rice in them . We slept well. Our stay was relaxing.
There is no offer to help with ski hire nor ski lift passes. There is a complementary bus to take you to the ski resort which you need to book and there are restricted time slots . The hotel is a fair distance from the ski resort, which limits your options if you don’t have a car. The seating in the lounge looks great but are very uncomfortable .
Gorgeous details and the staff were incredible
While the dinner was amazing, if you don’t like fish, it’s going to be a challenge
I loved the food, the set menu was superb, super high quality food— truly like japanese fine dining for every meal. The food was just great, i cannot emphasise this enough. I also loved how friendly the staff was, they were so polite and accomodating—really beyond customer service. The onsen was also the best Ive ever been to (as someone who visits Japan yearly in the winter). Great vibe overall, the mood of the lounge was nice and relaxing.
We had an amazing stay. The food, the staff, and the whole vibe of the decor are incredible. What a cozy, lovely spot. I know the harsh winters can be hard in a property, but I would suggest they do some minor maintenance (wood paneling on private outdoor onsen area, rust on private porch railing, wallpaper in entrance area) to ensure this amazing hotel can stay around for a long time! We want to come back in every season.
Review of Niseko Konbu Onsen Tsuruga Bessou Moku no Sho My stay at Niseko Konbu Onsen Tsuruga Bessou Moku no Sho was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had anywhere. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly professional, providing impeccable service with genuine warmth and attention to detail. The hotel itself exudes a perfect blend of luxury and traditional Japanese charm, with beautifully designed rooms that offer a serene and cozy atmosphere. The onsen facilities were outstanding, providing a deeply relaxing experience after a day of skiing. The cuisine was exceptional, with carefully prepared seasonal dishes that highlighted the best of Hokkaido’s flavors. Every aspect of the stay—from the flawless hospitality to the tranquil ambiance—made it an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a top-tier stay in Niseko.

food variety
Amazing stay in Niseko, away from the crowds but still convenient to the slopes. The outdoor onsen is great and the food was delicious. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend it!
Very friendly staff and so special to have spent new year with the hotel staff and other guests. Loved the spacious rooms and food, great massage chair in room.
The property was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was huge and comfortable! We booked the room with onsen in the room so we had our private onsen experience.

We love the food provided by the hotel, and the service is superb too. We also like the onsen and the exclusiveness of the hotel.
Quiet. In a beautiful setting. Beautiful Japanese modern design. Private Onsen on the deck. Incredibly spacious room. Little touches with marshmallow toasting in the afternoons. Staff incredibly attentive and polite.

This is a truly exceptional Japanese inn! It is so beautiful and the staff welcome you with such panache. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. The food is excellent. I highly recommend it to those who want to experience Japanese hospitality.
Full course kaiseki dinners were beyond expectation, and the complimentary wine selection was also excellent. Moki no sho was kind enough to substitute meat-based course menu for seafood-heavy menu, even without earlier notification on a customer's dietary preference. Would also give a ride whenever it was practically impossible to call a cab. Overall, a highly satisfying experience.
Niseko itself is not easy to reach--you need to transfer twice on train, and even upon arrival at the train station, you must either call a taxi or reserve a shuttle service from Moku no sho. But the ryokan service fully makes up for these downsides.
Wonderful location by a river. Very relaxing hearing the river running outside of our window at night.
Everything was Wonderful.
great onsen place. veryu serene setting
more things to do inside the isolated resort
Very clean, quiet and nice layout. Free drinks and snacks are a bonus

After staying at a sister resort near Lake Toya, we stayed at this resort while visiting Niseko. This was the better resort. We mentioned that we had some difficulties with the wait staff at the other resort at dinner. The staff here made sure that dinner was served without any issues. The rooms were quite large and we appreciated being able to listen to the river rushing alongside the resort. We also liked the outside in-room onsen here. The only down-side of this resort is that it is quite ensconced in the forest. There appears to be nothing right outside the resort within walking distance. No matter, the staff here were excellent. I would consider coming back again. The speaker in the lounge is...something special.
Quiet and secluded with excellent staff and high end facilities (including a nice onsen setup). The included half-board meals were extensive and very good, and probably required given the relative lack of other options anywhere nearby in summer season. Feels like a private resort. If you are looking for an escape in Niseko this is a good option and the price is reasonable given the quality of the accommodation and of the dining.
This hotel is hands down one of the best i have ever stayed in. The staff is amazing, the customer service is top shelf and the amenities are all you could ask for. The onsen is wonderful and all the extras like meals and drinks make for a stellar experience.
Cool ambience, retro 70’s elegance. 10 course breakfast and dinner menus, either great service and beautiful presentation. Free wine and champagne service in the lounge encourages lots of lounging!
Beds are very firm, but that’s pretty common in Japan.
The Room is clean and well organized. This hotel pay attention on every details of the stuff we need. The breakfast and dinner is good as well. I stayed there for 2 days, both breakfast and dinner is included. These 4 meals in all amazing. They offered variety of food. Apart from the meal, they have afternoon tea and boiled potatoes serving us in the late afternoon. The taste of them is so nice.
We enjoyed a truly relaxing vacation with excellent hospitality and food.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was of very high quality.
It is a bit far from the ski hills. There shuttle schedule should increase for the ski hills to allow for more flexibility to get to and back from the slopes.
Breakfast was very good
The staff were so friendly and helpful
As a skier it would have been helpful to have had more frequent bus shuttle.
