Hotel Baia Azzurra

Hotel is very well located. Quiet given it's proximity to road and genuinely a comfy little no frills hotel for all your needs. The cable car station is very close and there is Aircon and blackout shutters in room for comfort.

Only down side is that there is no kettle in room, room is basic but that is reflected in. Price, overall nothing that would hold back a recommendation.

Eravamo in questa località e abbiamo scelto l'hotel la Baia azzurra per la sua posizione, fronte mare di Taormina. L'albergo si trova sulla strada principale ma all'interno delle camere non si sentono rumori provenienti dalla strada. Ha una bellissima terrazza dove rilassarsi con una vista spettacolare sul mare e isola bella. La colazione è ben fornita con molta varietà far dolce e salato. La possibilità di parcheggio per la macchina. La fermata del bus e funivia subito accanto all'hotel che ti portano a Taormina "alta" molto comodo.

L'unica pecca è che la camera era piccola, molto piccola e non disponeva neanche di un terrazzino.

Loved this hotel! Super close to the funicular making it easy and convenient to get into the city. Bus stop close by also. Views were incredible from one of our rooms, very spacious and clean. Beach right in front of the hotel was stunning. Paid car park for guests was very helpful! Couldn't fault this stay!

La capitolul minusuri aș puncta camera puțin cam zgomotoase, baia mică și prezență căii ferate.

Location was well situated for the beaches and isola bella as well as the tram to Taormina’s center. The views from the 4th floor balcony were priceless. The breakfast staff was also extremely attentive and friendly.

Needs some updating and there was one particular person at the reception desk that was not as helpful.

Die Aussicht und die Balkonterasse war sehr schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Zimmer war sehr klein, besonders das WC. Im Wc waren oberhalb der Dusche alles schimmel.Das Frühstück war zufriedenstellend. Alles nur gekaufte Sachen, nicht selbst gemachtes. Preis viel zu teuer für den entsprechenden Zustand des Hotels, Zimmer und Frühstück. Sicher kein 4 Sterne Hotel.

Location Parking The staff at the reception was friendly.

The woman who worked at the bar wasn’t very willing to accommodate our requests. We asked for hot water for the child so we could prepare food. On the first day, she helped, but reluctantly. On the second day, she said we had to wait for someone else to help. We waited for 20 minutes, but she didn’t take any action; the child couldn’t hold it any longer, and we got water at another hotel nearby. Requests of this type should be fulfilled quickly, especially in a hotel with a bar and restaurant.

Localização excelente, com linda vista e bem confortável. Perto de restaurantes, mercados e das praias centrais.

Faltou comunicação com a parte do estacionamento de forma prévia. Foi muito difícil estacionar e paguei de forma descenessaeio um estacionamento de 4EUR/H. Após esclarecimentos, não tinha vaga e foi estressante e chato estacionar.

The room smell of dirty ass the wall between the room and bathroom. They had these black septic flies in evening when we camw back im toilet area. Iask to change room we were told first they had no other room i paid 1600$ for 6 nights. Not worth it. We are in room now and customer service is excellent and our hotel is in point helping. I also found they were non responsive with DM via booking. Tue chickens next door was loud and that was ok but i was def disappointed woth front desk. Amd smell of room. Plus we were given 3 twin beds. My son is 10. He sleeps with me bit i dont think hotel cared when i asked a for a room w a full hes to share w my child. I was also informed that they have some agreement with the beach clubs below and when we arrive, they said that the August Beach club agreement no longer exist. If my reservation is for August 23 to August 30 why did you not respond to the correct dates and information when ask questions?

Amazing views, location, breakfast and cleanliness. I was a bit skeptical and it isn’t as fancy as some of the high end hotels but hotel Baia Azzura really delivered!

It would’ve been nice to have a hotel transfer organised.

La posizione dell’hotel è straordinaria: si trova letteralmente di fronte alla spiaggia di Mazzarò e ai lidi. Nella stessa strada ci sono anche alcuni piccoli negozi dove è possibile acquistare bevande e snack. La stazione della funivia per Taormina si trova a una sola strada di distanza, mentre la fermata dell’autobus è a pochi metri dall’hotel. Ho apprezzato molto anche la gentilezza e la cordialità di Pamela, sempre disponibile a rispondere alle mie domande e a fornire assistenza. La colazione continentale era varia e veniva servita in una sala molto ampia e piacevole.

Le strutture dell’hotel sono piuttosto datate e avrebbero bisogno di essere rinnovate. Nella camera, ad esempio, c’era una sola presa elettrica disponibile. Anche il Wi-Fi a volte era lento o si interrompeva. Il sistema di aria condizionata centralizzato era piuttosto rumoroso; una notte ho dovuto spegnerlo per riuscire a dormire. L’ultimo giorno del soggiorno ho inoltre avvertito un cattivo odore proveniente dagli scarichi del bagno. La doccia era estremamente piccola e anche la camera, nel complesso, aveva dimensioni ridotte. La posizione e la disponibilità del personale sono sicuramente i principali punti di forza della struttura, ma le condizioni delle installazioni e alcuni problemi di comfort hanno reso il soggiorno meno piacevole.

La posizione e la vista, in primis, poi da notare anche dei posti auto riservati ai clienti e la vicinanza alla funicolare per Taormina (20mt)

Funcionários pessimos Na foto da minha suite tinha uma banheira, porém chegando lá havia somente box com chuveiro que mal cabe uma pessoa é impossível se ensaboar lá dentro sem desligar o chuveiro ou se abaixar pra pegar shampoo uma vez que não tem suporte pra colocar Tem um elevador para todo hotel ou seja quase impossível transitar por ele O ar condicionado não gela suficiente no verão e a cortina é tecido preto e não blackout e você acorda não só com a luz mas com calor do sol de manhã Não bastante tudo isso, na última noite que por coincidência depois que reclamamos do quarto acordei no meio da madrugada dando um grito de dor, meu pé estava sangrando pois havia um caco de vidro na cama, na saída informei a pessoa que me disse “ah nossa que estranho”. Ou seja não tem como ser experiência positiva. O hotel foi informado de tudo e nem se quer responder as msg na plataforma!

This was an absolutely beautiful and perfect place to stay! Our terrace overlooked the Mazzarò bay, so gorgeous and special; we could even watch swimmers jumping off the rocks below. Just steps from the beach which had clubs but also public access that we used. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Happy we chose this hotel!

Hotellet var enkelt, fint og rent. hadde perfekt plassering. Kort avstand til stranden, vi gikk over vegen og ned en trapp. Buss og gondol opp til byen var like utenfor. Gangavstand til Bella Isola. Nydelig havutsikt fra balkongen på rommet.

Air conditionen var ikke av nyeste sort og lagde litt lyd, men det viktigste var at den virket! Hadde fått et bedre inntrykk av spisesalen hvis de hadde byttet vinduene, da de var uklare og så ikke så bra ut. Men det er en bagatell. Frokosten var god og personalet var søte.

The view from the hotel was absolutely spectacular and more than made up for the hotel being a little dated. The location was perfect, just a stone’s throw from Mazzarò Beach, Isola Bella and the cable cars. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and we also really enjoyed the breakfast.

The hotel and rooms are a little dated and could benefit from some updating. The air conditioning also wasn’t very good, particularly in the extreme summer heat.

The only downside was a rooster next door that started crowing around 4 AM every morning, making it impossible to sleep in the rooms on the left side of the building. After I reported it, the staff immediately moved us to a room with a partial sea view, which was excellent. Everything else was great: friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and a perfect location right next to the cable car. There's no need to rent a car—you can easily walk to the beach and Isola Bella, then take the cable car up to the town center in the evening.

La taille de la chambre très petite, salle de bain exiguë, cabine de douche très petite il faut faire de la gymnastique pour pouvoir se doucher. Ascenseur en panne ce week-end là pas de chance, heureusement que nous étions au deuxième étage.

La propreté de la chambre, l'hôtel est vieillissant on ne dirait pas un 4 étoiles. Le coq à 4h du matin jusqu'à 8h qui criait. Très bruyant car la route est juste dessous Le parking 15 euros juste pour une nuit.

Amazing location, directly across from the best beach in the Taormina area. Staff including Pamela were super kind and helpful. Get the Superior room for incredible ocean views. Wonderful and varied breakfast spread. Super comfy beds and modern bathrooms. We are Marriot Platinum level and this hotel had equivalent level of service. Will be back! Thank you, Pamela and team!! This place is a dump! The pictures online are very misleading. Our room was very small and dirty. The shower was barely big enough to get into. Our window looked out into an alley and had a rooster that crowed and a dog that barked all the time. We were supposed to stay there for 4 nights but checked out after one and found a much better hotel in Taormina. They refused to refund us for the 3 nights we did not stay. But it was worth it to get out of that place. It was terrible!

Świetna lokalizacja, bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa w recepcji. Jedzenie w restauracji tez smaczne. Śniadania poprawne chociaż codziennie to samo.

Brak wentylacji w pokojach, przez co czuć stęchlizną. Na ścianach zamalowany grzyb. Do tego dość cienkie ściany i głośne rozmowy ekip sprzątających.

La posizione é il punto a favore ed il punto critico. A favore perché è sulla baia, a due passi dal mare e due passi dalla funivia che porta a Taormina alta. Avevo la camera con vista sul mare ed era una cartolina, bellissima!

La posizione é il punto a favore ed il punto critico. Davanti all’hotel c’è una strada trafficata ed i binari del treno (passano più treni di quanto possa pensare). Insomma c’è parecchio rumore ma gli infissi non sono insonorizzati. Nemmeno la porta di ingresso della camera è insonorizzata. Per cui o sei sordo, o hai perennemente i tappi oppure sarai destinato a dormire poche ore per notte. Pulizia e colazione appena sufficienti. La cenare aveva necessità di una sistemata (muri con umidità). Concludendo non lo consiglierei.

The room was very nice, it was very clean, it certainly exceeded our expectation for a 3 stars hotel!

The breakfast was a bit bland in taste. Also, the view from the breakfast room would be such a big plus if they would clean the windows. I expect they do clean them later when the summer season starts😅

Hotel mieści się ok. 150 m od morza, leży tuż przy kolejce, którą można szybko dostać się do centrum Taorminy. Śniadania są bardzo dobre, w tym owoce i słodkości. Pokoje sprzątane codziennie, personel bardzo pomocny.

Plaże są żwirowe albo kamienne, kolejka kosztuje 10 euro w dwie strony, nie polecam ASM czyli komunikacji publicznej, która przez Mazzaro praktycznie nie kursowała. Proponuję korzystać z Interbus, koszt przejazdu ok. 1.90 EUR. Oczywiście te niedogodności nie są zależne od hotelu.

Struttura molto datata, per non dire fatiscente. La doccia non ha il miscelatore. Infissi alle finestre vecchissimi, quasi non si chiudeva la finestra. Un rumore continuo per tutto il soggiorno, che non si sa da dove veniva. 15€ x il parcheggio.

Nous avions réservé une chambre avec vue sur la mer, mais la vue était en réalité très limitée. Il fallait se pencher à la fenêtre pour apercevoir la mer, ce qui correspond davantage à une vue partielle qu'à une véritable vue mer. Nous avions également réservé une chambre avec baignoire, mais nous avons eu une chambre équipée d'une douche. Enfin, à notre arrivée vers 19h, le parking privé de l'hôtel était déjà complet. Nous avons donc dû stationner notre véhicule dans un parking souterrain situé à proximité, ce qui nous a coûté 30 € supplémentaires.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is right next to the funicular that goes straight up to Taormina, which in my opinion is perfect because you get the advantages of being right by the beach while still having easy access to the town. The hotel is basic but clean and lovely, with everything you need and stunning views. The breakfast is decent, the air con is excellent and there are plenty of amenities near, including a little convenience store next door which does lovely fresh ciabatta sandwiches.

The coffee at breakfast is terrible, but you can ask one of the lovely waitresses for a better one which they’ll make fresh.

Man hade kunnat fräscha upp rummet lite men överlag fanns allt vi behövde.

Booked a room with a balcony and it didn’t disappoint! For the price and location I was happy with my stay. The room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The breakfast was decent, coffee was awful but you can ask for a fresh one from the staff instead. As a (relatively) young, solo traveller I thought the location was perfect, it was right beside the funicular that takes you straight up to Taormina town but with all the benefits of being by the beach. I rented a sea kayak each morning from Isola Bella beach (5 min stroll way) which I highly recommend, great way to explore the sea caves and get a lovely view of the coast (buy a waterproof bag for your phone on the beach!). Massaró beach (directly in-front of the hotel) is a bit pricey for sun beds and food so I recommend walking over to Spisone beach (15 min stroll) to get better prices and for a less crowded beach. I went to La Dolce Vita beach club for a €15 sun bed & parasol combo, it was very basic (suited me) but there are fancier options at Tao beach club too. Do invest in some water shoes/booties because all the beaches are rocky and hard to enter the water without them. There’s lots of little convenience stores beside the hotel that make fresh ciabatta sandwiches for lunch if you want to save a bit of money, especially because dining out in Taormina is pretty pricey! Stock up on presents and Italian goodies at these shops too instead of buying at the airport which has very little and is insanely expensive for the same items. If I come back to Taormina I’ll definitely book this hotel again.

Läget var bra. Nära till två stränder och nära linbanan.

Hårda sängar. Standarden på hotellets så där men personalen gjorde sitt bästa. Frukosten ok men själva rummet känns som en skolmatsal. De stora panoramafönster behöver verkligen putsas för bakom de finns en fantastisk utsikt mot havet.

La stanza si affacciava su un terreno dove c’era un pollaio…..la mattina i galli dalle 5.30 cantavano a dire basta……..sveglia naturale assicurata.

A hirdetésben szereplő privát parkolóhely ellenére rendelkezésre álló parkolóhely nem volt, de azért kifizettették a parkolást. Mivel a közelben lévő fizetőparkolóban parkoltam, ott is ugyanannyit fizettem, mint amennyit a szálláson kértek. A szoba közel sem hasonlított a fotókon lévőkre sokkal kisebb és lepusztultabb, a fürdőszobának kijelölt helyiség egészségtelen, dohos-salétromos és emberi használatra teljes mértékben alkalmatlan.

Great location and easy access to the beach

The location to Mazzarro Beach, and Funicular were great. The view 10/10! Staff friendly. Very nice terrace to relax on.

The pillows are so thin you might as well not use them. I stuffed mine with my clothing for some support 🤷‍♀️. The shower was extremely small. I am 130lb and have stayed in over 10 boutique hotels and this shower was the smallest. Larger individuals, and pregnant women should book with caution.
