The lake had a swimming prohibited sign up due to blue green algae which was very disappointing .

An outstanding getaway! Beautiful grounds, good food and exceptionally kind staff.

The location was perfect and fairly close to everything. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was outstanding and went out of their way to make our stay so enjoyable. The grounds are so nice. Just loved it!

The room was a bit small but the bed was extremely comfortable. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

The Mistral restaurant was superb. Lovely design, very romantic and contemporary. The grounds, pool and access to lake (down the road) a bit were nice.

We had the tiniest motel room. Hot or cold--couldn't get temperature right. Paper thin walls. Heard everyone's conversations as they walked down the hall. No TV. No room to move around or put things. If you can upgrade to larger room, do it.

Personnel très aimable. Le Mistral excellent. La piscine, l’épicerie connexe, aménagement paysager et musique d’ambiance. La location de vélo possible.

The surrounding and garden setting was beautiful. Very close to biking trails and I appreciated the lake.

The queen room for the price was very small - too small

The outside areas of the hotel were lovely; outside bar with nice seating areas, walking path around a pond. Unfortunately we were too early in the season for the outside area to be open. Made to order breakfast was delicious. We had a tour booked for our first morning and needed to depart before breakfast was being served so they prepared a breakfast to go with yogurt and croissants. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

As we were 2 friends traveling together we had booked a twin room. It was quite cozy as was the bathroom. There was a dresser between the beds; I would have preferred nightstands.

Great staff, excellent breakfast.

Rooms are very small. Its fine, we don't spend much time in the room, but there was no real 'lounge' where you could enjoy coffee or happy hour without being in the diningroom. In summer there is an extensive outdoor space, but it really wasn't warm enough or ready in early May.

We stayed during the winter and it was very cozy. I plan to return in the summer to enjoy the fabulous bike paths! The staff was very courteous and helpful. The establishment was clean and tidy. The 2 twin bed room was a bit small, but it worked. The crepes for breakfast were outstanding!

Friendly and welcoming staff, small but impeccable room, generous breakfast with excellent homemade jam, beautiful garden to eat in.

Noisy engine for a water pump? by the pond in the back of the property! The two restaurants were unfortunately closed.

Bonjour, j'ai adoré prendre les repas à la magnifique terrasse extérieur. Les déjeuners étaient très bon et la pizza sur four à bois était excellente ! J'ai beaucoup apprécié l'accès au Lac Brome pour la baignade. La chambre et la salle de bain était très propre.

La chambre était un peu petite, c'était surprenant que la porte ouvre quasiment sur le lit... Peut-être que de disposer les meubles d'une autre manière donnerait plus d'espace...

Ideal location surrounded by nature— lake, pond, pool, forest, walking trails, flowers, gazebo, outdoor gym, Mistral restaurant, food boutique. Super friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful peace and quiet.

I loved the place and the restaurant there was amazing. In the same time the place was cozy and so beautiful.

There was nothing that I didn't like. Everything was amazing!

The welcoming of the staff, the wood fireplace, the breakfast and the quality of the mattress.

The room was extremely noisy due to the non existant sound proofing, we enjoyed the noise from the family during the night and also the morning farts of the family when they used the toilet. We heard all footsteps in the corridor throughout the night.

The welcoming staff and the grounds were lovely. The breakfast included with the room was excellent along with the caring service. We intend to come back in the summer!!

The room was a little small but comfortable.

Delicious breakfast in a gorgeous dining room. Dinner was also wonderful. The couches around the big fireplace in the dining room were a perfect place to finish our wine. The bedroom in our suite was comfortable. The fireplace nook in the bedroom was a nice touch. We spent most of our time there rather than in the awkwardly shaped front room. We loved the trails around the property and the amazing gourmet store!

The front room in our Lac Brome suite was long and narrow. The TV was oversized and too close to the couch. We were only there for one night so it didn’t really matter. Internet and WIFi was spotty, but again, we were only there for a short time. The Inn is quite close to the road which surprised us after looking at the photos when we booked. There was a bit of road noise in our bedroom.

A charming property! The staff was friendly, welcoming and provided wonderful, attentive customer service. The on-site Alize restaurant (located just beyond the lobby) provided a cozy, inviting atmosphere to sit when not dining. The fire was always burning and attended to -- especially appreciated as we were there in late October. Coffee was brought to us while sitting by the fire early mornings, and breakfast was fabulous!! We're looking for a time when we can return. Highly recommend!

I can't think of anything that would have made our visit more enjoyable.

The breakfast was wonderful and the dining area had a real wood fire - very cozy place to sit! The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet.

We felt the room was abit tired. I wonder if they aren’t investing in the space as they focus on a larger rennovation. Photos of the new space look spectacular. Would love to come back.

Acceuil chaleureux, l'environnement magnifique avec la terrasse, le boisé, les sentiers et petit lac à proximité. Chambre propre et lit confortable, mais le plancher n'était pas à niveau, ce qui fait que pour aller ds la salle de bain la nuit on avait l'impression d'être étourdi à cause de la dénivellation. Déjeuner excellant ,malheureusement il n'y avait plus de souper offert sur semaine en septembre, et le village est à 15 min en auto. . Je retournerais à cet endroit sans hésiter .

Le personnel très sympathique. Les chambres sont très biens et propres. De très belles pistes pédestres et chaque espace sur le terrain est pense. Nous y retournerons c’est certain.

Le seul chose qui nous déçu le restaurant pour souper était fermé du lundi au jeudi à partir de la mid septembre. Par contre ils ont une petite boutique bien équipé en fromage,pâtés de foie gras de toute sorte et des craquelins, vins et bières.

Lovely, well-managed, and beautifully-located inn with outstanding service and sumptuous breakfast. Also a very nice pool and inviting seating areas, indoor and out. The room and the bathroom, as well as the shower stall, felt a little tight for my preference, but all were nicely equipped (toiletries, bedding) and more than adequate. The hotel is in the midst of expansion as we speak and I would definitely consider returning.

La grandeur des chambres; l’air climatisé central ne permet pas l’aération suffisante des chambres et il a fait chaud.

La location è immersa nella natura e a due passi dal lago. L’area verde circostante è molto rilassante e piacevole. C’è la possibilità di fare piccole passeggiate lungo dei sentieri tracciati o noleggiare delle canoe. Carina la piscina ed il ristorante all’aperto. Colazione top

Niente da segnalare, se proprio vogliamo trovare una cosa da aggiungere potrebbero mettere a disposizione degli ospiti delle biciclette e le canoe gratuitamente

Un très bel endroit pour se détendre et pratiquer plusieurs activités. Belle grande piscine, sentiers de marche, accès au lac, etc. Chambre très confortable et paisible. Un seul bémol, le menu du restaurant Le Mistral.

Pas de contrôle sur la climatisation qui est centrale pour toute l'auberge. Chambre très petite et prix élevée pour cela.

Characterful old country house restored as a small hotel deep in the woods of the Cantons de l'Est. Set back across Rte. 215 from Lac Brome, it offers a warm welcome and wonderful food in it's two restaurants, one with outside seating. Our rooms were pleasant, but not spacious; the beds were very comfortable. Nearby Lac Brome/Knowlton (with a very interesting museum of local life and history), and, further south, Sutton, are two small and lively towns well worth visiting. Nearby back-road US border crossings are quick and quiet, with minimal formalities. The whole area is gratifyingly rural and French-speaking, though everyone also speaks English. Recommended.

Rural location just across the road from Lac Brome. Distinctive furnishings, excellent restaurants, very friendly and obliging staff. Restored older buildings - our rooms were quite small, but the beds extremely comfortable.

Omgeving was uniek! Jammer dat het restaurant vanaf zondagmiddag t/m woensdag dicht is. De wandelpaden om een eigen vijver zijn magnifiek. Als je vroeg wandelt heb je kans om een beer te zien.

We stayed at Jolivent for two nights to take the Three Pines Tour, which was amazing. Jolivent is a beautiful place. We had a very comfortable room and bed, an amazing meal at Alize, and took a wonderful hike on the many kilometers of trails on the property. The entire staff from the owner to the front desk folks to the chef to the wait staff could not have been friendlier. We cannot wait to go back!

1- Smallest room i have seen in my life! 2-Smallest Bed and Most Uncomfortable 3-very very uncomfortable pillows (And no staff at all to change it) 4-Abusive party in the restaurant (Which i couldn’t use because it has a private party ) causing all that noise

Accueil parfaite par tous le personnel. Terrasse pret du petit lac (excellent pour y apporter son lunch et nos drink personnels. Chambre très confortable. On n’a pris le déjeuner inclus dans notre réservation ( excellent). Amandine a bien pris soin de nous pour nous apporter le bois pour un feu extérieur. Merci a l’équipe pour tout a une prochaine

Everything was lovely, staff offered us a fixed price meal which was delicious and convenient. Rooms were cozy and nicely appointed. We are definitely planning to return.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. The Restaurant within the Inn was exceptional. Easy driving distance to fun activities...for example Balnea Spa!

For a moment...no TV in our room! But then we decided that this was a positive!

This is such a cozy, homey place to stay. It was clean, played relaxing music, and had a fireplace they let us use even after the staff had left. We had visited ten years ago, and it still has the same charm today!

I wish the restaurant was open on more weekdays in the winter. The food has always been fantastic.

Room was clean and exactly what we expected. Reception person was very friendly and explained details. What was unexpected was the wonderful breakfast that was included next morning. I had the 3 egg omelette (was gluten free), fresh fruit and breakfast potatoes with GF bread and what seemed like homemade raspberry jam. Worth the $20 for quality if your packaged doesn't include breakfast. There is free tea and Nespresso and there's a boutique store that's was like a mini cafe with gourmet items. Tried the feta samosa and GF dessert and it was wonderful. Very satisified with our stay and will return if in area.
