Hotel Lac Brome, BW Signature Collection

My husband and I stayed at Best Western Hotel Lac Brome from July 12–14 to celebrate my birthday. We had previously stayed at this hotel in October 2025, when it was Hotel Lac Brome, and had a beautiful two-floor suite overlooking the lake. That room was quiet, away from the road, and we enjoyed spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Based on that wonderful experience, we were looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this experience was a complete contrast to our previous stay. When we arrived, the receptionist, Ali, provided only the bare minimum of service. He quickly recited the hotel amenities, handed us our keys, and that was the extent of our welcome. Our room was on the first floor facing the busy Lakeside Road. The traffic noise was noticeable. The room appeared tired and in need of renovation. It was nothing like the accommodations we had enjoyed during our previous stay. We returned to Reception to ask whether another room might be available. Rather than checking the reservation system, Ali immediately told us the hotel was full. He made no apparent effort to explore other options to improve our stay. He showed little interest in helping us or making us feel like valued guests. Even if no rooms were available, taking a moment to check or offering to follow up would have demonstrated professionalism and care. We left disappointed and because of both the poor customer service and the quality of our assigned room, we will not be returning.

Loved everything! It was relaxing and beautiful view! It would be nice to have access to more hot tubs and a continous access to a fire in the outside area.

Breakfast which we had just one morning was very nice. No fried foods, lots of fruit and fresh pastries. Good coffee.

The coffee machine in the room was finicky on the second day… worked well the first day.

Breakfast was good. Loved the firepits. I'm grateful for the dog friendly hotel!

Super comfy bed. Bathtub deep: perfect for a hit late night bubble bath! The fire pit at night was excellent. The dock on the small lake out back was fabulous: chairs for sitting to watch the ducks

The air quality of my room: Stale and stuff. The only way to air out the room was to open the patio door that had no screen door and the room was on the ground floor facing the parking lot: not safe. The layout of the bathroom is wrong: the door barely clears the toilet when it is opened. Poorly designed.

Staff nice, room ok, generally ok. Not a fan of continental breakfasts.

The room was clean and neat. The little desk area was perfect for my laptop. The table and chairs at the foot of the bed was perfect for morning coffee. The view of Lac-Brôme was breathtaking. The restaurant downstairs was first class and the food was perfectly prepared and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The restaurant was closed during the days of our stay so we aren’t able to comment on this. Breakfast was nice with varied cold selections. Our only complaint was the need for a night light and a softer mattress. There is a bit of a tripping hazard going into the rooms that could be a concern for some.

A little gem , quiet , large rooms , great restaurant, pool , steam room , hot tubs , perfect launching point for cycling the area . Comfortable king bed , rooms on the back are very quiet .

The lake view was peaceful. The spa was wonderful but only one hot top was open and it foamed up when the jets turned on

The room is quite nice, although having two chairs and a little table would have been nice. The bathroom is really nice and the shower very enjoyable. They need to do something about the continental breakfasts. Although there is a spread, it is so uninviting. Most mornings, the croissants were so hard. And it's the same thing every morning. You have to clean your own table, put your dishes in bins. Not a great expérience as far as breakfast is concernés.

The hotel was really nice and had many amenities. We could not use the pool or sauna as we forgot our suits. Reception check in could have been more welcoming. We found she wasn't friendly to Anglais Canadians'. Check out was much more accommodating. Overall, a pretty nice place to crash for a night.

First impressions,left me looking for fault. The girl at reception was unfriendly, we felt like we were beneath her. My french us non existent but I can usually get by. She gave me the impression that, she would rather not deal with me, I stepped back. .my wife is a bit more tolerable. We got our key and she instructed us to park in back. In back taxes you down a level. We now had to climb stairs, after finding an unmarked door, no directions.. Had she instructed us to enter the front, 20 ft from our car, we would have entered on the main level, no stairs, our room was right there. Later at night, I noticed NO CARS parked out back where there is NO LIGHT, pitch black. I've been robbed in vacation, my car broken into.. So I moved my car ti the VERY WELL lit parking area in front. There was no hand soap in the washroom. Squeeze bottles on the wall . My wife couldn't squeeze the bottles to get soap or shampoo. She has problems with her hands, no grip.. Very small fridge. No luggage racks, to rest and open a suitcase. . No screen on sliding door of you want fresh air. ..no bugs. No control for the A/C unit to simply draw in fresh air. It didn't seem to work even for A/C which was too cold to use.. nor heat that I could tell Breakfast was good. Self serve continental Staff , young lady, was very friendly there. Staff, 2 men at front desk as we were leaving, friendly and accommodating. Unlike whe we arrived, with the Girl at front desk. 2 star if I was reviewing from our first impression.. 3 star as it wasn't all bad..

Our room was lovely, very clean, very quiet, and with a very comfortable bed. I only wish I had had instructions on how to turn on the sink tap, and work the shower! Service was friendly and the breakfast was basic but delicious.

The exterior is run down and the interior packs some love. Outside premises very nice. Sofa bed acceptable. It’s clean but old.

Beds and linens amazing. Views incredible. Location great. Staff needs to be more friendly and helpful. More knowledgeable on the area. Upselling things. SUP rental starts too late. Lake is flat and quiet early in the morning and we were told rentals only open at 11am. Not useful. Breakfast is miserable for $300/night. Otherwise hotel is dated but everything works well is clean and is nice.

Breakfast is really really basic. Like a bad 80s meal.

Great place and very comfortable. Duvet, pillows, and mattress were super comfy. Took advantage of the hot tubs, which were very nice to have after a long, wet bike ride. Breakfast was good with the added benefit of the dining room overlooking the lake.

View is amazing and staff is super nice Spa, hammam and sauna were great I was disappointed by: * pool not clean * hours of operartions of gym and hammam & sauna are * reduced and not flexible (starting at 9am is too late) * the breakfast was quite poor for such hotel (big disappointment) * conditions of the balconny (of my room) is quite bad; not what I was expected from such hotel

The attitude of the staff was great. From the front desk personnel to the housekeeping staff, everyone did their best to make us feel at home

Lake view, private beach area, breakfast included, free parking, very friendly and helpful front desk staff, good facilities like Hot Tub, Pool, Spa, Sauna , dogs allowed Executive Suite could have been better. But Location is excellent!!! And i would recommend whoever wants to have a peaceful stay.

Nice facilities well maintained landscape. Very nice room but very uncomfortable beds with springs that poke at your .back. service is horrible. Very unfriendly staff and very unaccommodating. They make you feel like they are doing you a favour when you need something. Excellent restaurant on site but not part of the hotel.

No grab bar in bathroom beside toilet. And just wish the property could be down by the lake . Have to cross over a busy road and climb stairs quite far down to lake.

The web site is deceiving. There is no sink, no dishes, no cutlery in the classic suite. There is no living room lounge chair, only sofa bed. There are no coffee tables at extremities of the sofa. There is no closet or dresser to store our clothes in the bedroom.

Impossible de joindre l'établissement au téléphone pour réserver des massages malgré des tentatives multiples de 72h a 48h a l'avance. A la réception tres sympathique mais il faut toujours s'y rendre en personne pour avoir ce dont on a besoin Pas d'eau a boire disponible : Propreté du patio du restaurant qui laisse a désirer avec des toiles d'araignée sur la moustiquaire Manque de protéines pour le petit déjeuner

Entretien extérieur: ordinaire Intérieur: ordinaire Aspect de la Chambre: très ordinaire Personnel : ordinaire Petit déjeuner: très ordinaire Il faudrait avoir au moins un aspect extraordinaire pour faire oublier tous les éléments ordinaires . Vous êtes dans le domaine de l’hospitalité. Vous devez créer des WoW pour séduire vos clients. À ce niveau, vous échouez. C’est dommage!

Great place for peace and views nice room overall. Only 2 cons old and small tv. No meat served at breakfast. But not a deal-breaker

Relaxing easy going stay. Was very clean and comfortable

Almost everything. Very nice place to visit. So clean. The restaurant was very good but slow service. Lots to do on site and enjoy. We will be coming back in the future.

The bed mattress is finished. Very soft in the middle and throughout the night you kept sliding towards the middle because there was no support there. Not pleasant. The was no TV in the bedroom. We always look forward to having a TV in the bedroom to help unwind from the day. We won't be staying in the suites in the future because of this fact. Disappointing.

Le restaurant était decevant, le petit déjeuner était sold out on est allé manger ailleurs, propreté des planchers et des installation piscine et jacuzzi à améliorer.

The property outside needs some care but the interior is very nice and clean. The service is actually VERY poor. At check in we were given a card to access the room and that was that. We had to ask for the location of the room, we had to ask for the hotel services and facilities, and also about breakfast. Smiles were also not available. The next day we were told that the kayaks use was not included in our fare because we booked via Expedia. Kayaks are free for hotel guest but not for us. In fact, the employees left us with the impression that Expedia guest are a lower class. probably they do not realize that we would not have found them if it wasn’t for Expedia and now we really don’t feel like going back. It’s an unfortunate attitude! The beach attendant was the only hotel employee that had a friendly attitude. The breakfast was average, but the croissants tasted like from the day before. The restaurant that operates in the hotel, Un vrais delice, is new and highly recomendable. Excellent food, friendly service and good atmosphere. The Snaper was un vrais delice! We will go back to the restaurant but not to stay in this hotel.

Conveniently located; beautiful views of lake

We booked this place via a reservation app and we were treated like a lower class guest because of that. The place looks a bit tired from the outside, but inside is clean and modern. Unfortunately the service was very poor. At check in we were not given any information, not even the location of the room! We had to ask about facilities, breakfast, restaurant, everything! The receptionist only gave us the card to access the room. We were told that the kayaks were not included in our fare, however, they are free for hotel guests. The breakfast was average but the croissants were from the previous day. The new restaurant that operates from the hotel, is really good! It’s called Un Vrais Delice and it is delicious. It does not belong to the hotel. We will not go back to this place to stay but we will go back to Un Vrais Delice.

The King room was very roomy and the rain shower has very good pressure. Loved the balcony with view of the lake and sunset. The bed was very comfortable, I was able to connect my Roku for extra streaming channels. The hot tub was large and enjoyable although it was not hot and took too much time to get to the expected temperature, still it was nice, with a sauna inside. The breakfast area is spacious with lots of windows, the breakfast has everything you need. The pool was clean and the pool area was very pleasant and cozy. There's an area by the lake to sit with a fire to keep you warm. The whole experience was very nice, except for the lack of dining choices at the hotel; there's no room service and it's a fancy restaurant so if you're not in the mood, the only place that delivers in the area is the pizzeria. At least their food was good. The staff was nice but lacked hospitality. I would definitely go back for some R&R.

Room was sold as lake view in reality it was just parking view. Property photos are very misleading. Overall comfort and cleanliness was very poor. They didn’t properly vaccum room before we checked in. Patios had lot of cobwebs, not cleaned in years. Only good thing was pool and hot tub. I won’t recommend considering the price.

Was clean friendly staff. Great lac just across street with rental summer equipments at low cost .. dogs can stay at low coast too. Our dog loved the lac near by. Definitely would come back. Like that have spa also section

The space was tidy and upgraded. Bed was very comfortable.Nevertheless, there was an odd odor upon entering the room, resembling that of a previous guest smoking.

We enjoyed our one night stay at Hotel Lac-Brome on our way to Montreal Airport. The room was clean, very comfortable and the view was pleasant. It was enjoyable to relax by the lake.

Face au lac Brome l’hôtel offre une vue incroyable. Les chambres sont biens et les lits confortables. Les petits déjeuners sont compris, croissants, œufs à la coque et fruits. Bien que les dîners à la carte sont magnifiques, les prix sont un peu trop élevés.

The hotel had many great amenities, some of which we made use of. It was great to have Robes in the room.

Although the hotel was clean it is dated and needs a refresh. Much of the furniture and wall paint is chipped, and some wall paper torn. The bathroom is not well laid out so you can barely open/close the door, and there is limited space for personal belongings in the bathroom.

L'endroit est super bien situé face au Lac et nous avons pu profiter de la plage pour le coucher de soleil. Les installations sont propres et fonctionnelles (piscine,sauna). Notre chambre et notre matelas étaient confortable et le personnel très gentil.

Tout est bien mais manque d’attention sur certains équipements (spa, sauna, piscine) qui sont mal entretenus et pas assez nettoyés. Les escaliers recouverts de moquette ne doivent pas voir l’aspirateur toutes les semaines !

Très belle expérience à cet hôtel. J'ai bien aimé qu'on puisse faire un feu sur le bord du lac en soirée et louer un canot pour une balade sur le ruisseau tranquille. Le héron qui y habite est beau à voir. Le personnel est très gentil.
