Warm welcome with cold homemade drink, lovely and helpful staff, nice big room, comfortable beds, big shower room with additional toiletries ( shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, shower cup, cotton buds) air conditioning, fridge and kettle, every day we were given complimentary water, we had small balcony with city view but lovely to sit in the evening and enjoy eating fresh fruits, nice housekeeping ladies.Thai restaurant next to the hotel, microwave downstairs and the sitting area, 6min to the beach, 2min to the main road with lots of restaurants and shops ,

our room was on the 4th floor with no elevator, it was not a problem for us, it kept us fit :) Overall everything perfect.

I had a wonderful stay at Baan Kamala Fantasea Hotel in Kamala and would happily return. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of Kamala, making it easy to walk to the beach, nearby shops, and plenty of great places to eat. One of the highlights of the stay was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They gave us fantastic recommendations for local eateries and things to do in the area, which really helped us make the most of our time in Kamala. We also had great recommendations for the next part of our holiday, Bangkok. Thank you. The hotel itself was very clean and well looked after, and the room was comfortable and relaxing after a long day exploring. It had everything we needed for an easy, enjoyable stay. Another big plus is the fantastic Thai restaurant right next to the hotel. The food there was delicious and very convenient when we didn’t feel like going far for dinner. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. With its central location, helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and great food nearby, it’s a great choice for anyone staying in Kamala.

The staff was friendly. It’s not their fault. I think they try but they don’t have a lot to work with.

The room smelled like sewage. They should not rent this room out. We ended up leaving after two days, cause we couldn’t take the odor any longer and there were tiny flies. I believe coming up from the drains. We should’ve known when we walked in the room, was heavily perfume with air fresheners, which we had to remove because it really was not a good thing to be breathing in, but nor was the sewer gas. The bed and linens were very clean

kleineres Zimmer als beschrieben, etwa knapp 20qm anstatt 29, kein Platz für Ablage neben Bett, kleiner Schrank, keine Kofferablagemöglichkeit. Balkon mit 2 Hockern und Tisch nicht benutzbar ausser um Handtuch aufzuhängen. Sitzmöglichkeit direkt unter Kompressor der Klimaanlage, Balkontüren re und li kaputt , konnten nicht verschlossen werden, Moskitonetz defekt,Fön defekt Alles in allem den Preis ( 21420 THB für 6 Tage ) nicht wert. Beschreibung und Bilder entsprechen nicht der Beschreibung. Für das Geld und die Beschreibung habe ich mir was anderes vorgestellt.

Wij zaten op de benedenverdieping en daar stond een groot bad buiten, geen plaats om te zitten ( alleen op het randje van het bad) en geen uitzicht!

Very good for the price

The room was clean and bathroom renovated somewhat. The pics look a bit better than the actual hotel. The sign still says it’s a hotel and back packers. Need to change that if advertised as a hotel. I think it was converted to a hotel. The shared small space with pillows in the floor near the water container looks very much like a backpacker area as does the outside facade. You get two pillows which is a bonus, room service is excellent and completed early by kind smiley service staff. The ease of using the shower to regulate the shower heat was good. Loved access to the refillable water container downstairs. It was quiet considering we were in the middle of a busy area and could only hear the hum of traffic. Lovely maintained scrubbery by the gardener as you walk through to reception. Welcome drink and Paul and other reception staff helpful. Be aware though there are 4 floors and we needed to climb 39 stairs to level floor 3. This was good exercise though.

The shared space was outdated with a half wooden boat with pillows on the floor. A bit unclean. Perhaps one reception staff could scrub up a little more with a cleaner look. This is not a game changer but physical appearance on the front desk may impact the tone of the place. In saying that , exceptionally attentive , helpful and friendly reception staff.

Zimmer war sehr sauber und es wurden jedesmal die Handtücher ausgetauscht beim Zimmer reinigen (war unserer Meinung nach nicht notwendig). Jeden Tag 2 Flaschen Wasser umsonst. Shampoo und Duschbad wurde zur Verfügung gestellt. Personal super freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Netter Freisitz zur Straße. Strand, Restaurants und Lebensmittelläden alles in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Bed sheets spotless. Room cleaned every day even though we didn’t ask.

Pas de petit déjeuner sur place, mais un grand frigo pour faire ses courses et déjeuner dans la chambre ou sur le petit balcon. Petits déjeuners à proximité sinon. Serviettes et nattes de plage fournies. Plage à 10 minutes à pied. Chambre spacieuse, grand lit mais un peu ferme. Personnel hyper serviable. La rue est sympa, animée mais sans exagération. Proximité d'avec le centre ville et belles balades à faire sur le front de mer. Nombreux restaus de poisson et fruits de mer. Plage : lits et parasols pour presque rien avec eau minérale fournie. Service sur la plage de toutes sortes de bons plats à des prix défiants toute concurrence ! En résumé, Kamala beach, c'est sympa et décontracté. Belle destination de farniente.

Понравилось расположение , рядом все . Три супер маркета , рынок , море , кафе и рестораны. Номера на 4 этаже , сложновато подниматься, крутая лесница . Горячей воды в номере нет , но она не нужна . Preis Leistung sind absolut top. Das Personal ist super freundlich und es ist sehr sauber. Die Lage ist genial, ruhig und doch fussläufig alles schnell erreichbar.

This was our second time staying here and we would definitely stay here again. Big room with a comfy bed. Staff is nice and helpful. The grey cat hanging around the hotel is so cute and always up for a cozy time.

The only thing I can think of is that the area around where the water goes down in the sink was dirty.

We just returned from a 12 night stay at Baan Kamala. Went on booking it based on the reviews and we were not one bit disappointed. This hotel is a fantastic value for money. It has everything you’d need , the bed was super comfortable and the nights were quiet. The location is fantastic as it is right in the middle of Kamala with everything a tourist would be looking for. Also the Isaan Popeye restaurant next door is serving super delicious meals for a good price. The Por &Prang massage salon across the road was also amazing. Overall, the hotel, it’s location and the facilities are spot on ! We are coming back next year!

The room was big, fresh water, tea and coffee everyday. Cleaned everyday with new bedding and towels. We didn’t do it everyday as it’s not needed.

Great budget hotel, near the beach. Not in the chaotic area. Busy area with everything you need but away from the chaos. Lots of halal food for the Muslim traveller, especially stalls on the beach. Friendly staff who go over and above to help. Great service. Even made suggestions so that I get a cheaper taxi ride to the airport. Well decorated small hotel. It's a budget hotel but you get more than your money's worth. Good WiFi, strong shower, nice balcony with sink and area to dry your clothes. No view from balcony as it's not on frontline but still very close to the beach. And I mean, where do you get a balcony with a sink and a hanging area for your wet clothes when you come from the beach? I could stay here longer. If I come back , I will stay here again. I don't give 10/10 ratings easily but this property got 10/10. Staff are a great asset to the hotel. Please reward your staff. I am a vlogger and will do a yt review separately. Your staff are fantastic.

Bra läge, trevlig personal! Cirka 6 minuter gångavstånd till stranden. Rent och fräscht, AC var gamla och lät ganska mycket. Annars ett jättebra hotell och har vi vägarna förbi kan vi absolut tänka oss att komma tillbaka.

Honestly, the pictures are so deceiving. When you look at this place, you think you’re staying at some beautiful resort. Plot twist, you definitely aren’t LOL. If the pictures were accurate I would’ve given a better review. It was just really unfortunate how deceiving they were. I don’t know, it wasn’t just my opinion.

Room was comfortable and clean. Room with own Bathroom/AC/fridge and everything worked well. Balcony view was back across main road and there was a kitchen sink on the balcony, no idea what that would be for but it could be handy if you want to handwash some clothes. Bath towels provided in room with some shower gel, shampoo & tooth brush kits a nice touch even if I didn't use them. Beach towels provided upon request at front desk and also umbrellas available to use which is handy if it looks like raining as you head out. Walk to beach is easy, flat and only a few hundred metres. There was a lock up box in the cupboard accessed using a key provided. There was always someone at the front desk which is reassuring, there is a rear access doorway from the street behind that is open as well and would be difficult for staff to maintain a view on people coming a going which is less than reassuring. There was no food served by the hotel however there is a few options around very close by in either direction that are plausible. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

Possibilité de prendre le petit dejeuner dns le restaurant situé en face l’hôtel. Supermarché et laverie automatique à moins de 200 m, plage agréable à moins de 10 minutes.

Clean, friendly staff.

Good location immediately on the “entertainment and bar” street, just off of main road. 8 min walk to beach and the “shopping and restaurant” street. Staff were very nice and helped with getting reasonably priced taxis, which was nice compared to other hotels that gauge tourists. Internet was poor but was in top floor.

Wonderful place! Staff is very friendly and rooms are very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it!

There were minor issues with AC which were fixed very fast!

The staff were amazing. They organised suppose decorations and a cake for my boyfriend’s birthday. They provided beach towels and beach matts whenever you needed them. Location right next to the beach and lots of cafes and bars in walking distance. Lots of taxis close by to go to patong, elephant sanctuary and Fantasea (can also walk in about 10 mins to fanstasea). would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

Very friendly and comfortable hotel, a short walk to the beach. Really friendly Popeye restaurant joined to the side, serving good food all day long. Many bars, shops, and good local services. Room was quiet and peaceful all night long. Would be very pleased to stay here again.

While I have no real complaints the correct google search for this place is Baan Kamala Backpacker. Very nice and quiet place with exceptional food next door at Issan Popeye!!!! Easy 5 minute walk to Kamala beach, however we found a better place just a 10 min Grab ride away, called Surin Beach, a must go to if Kamala Beach is to crowded for you. The front staff are extremely friendly and helpful as they saved us $1200 Thai baht in n an all day Phi Phi island tour!!!! Would stay here again for the $47.00 we paid!!

Für eine Nacht okay aber nicht länger. Das Zimmer war gereinigt, allerdings war das Getränk der Vorgänger im Kühlschrank und deren Haare im Bett. Im Bad befanden sich angebrochene Packungen von Hygieneartikeln. Die Balkontür ließ sich nicht abschließen, viele Dinge waren kaputt und das ganze Haus roch sehr merkwürdig. Das Personal war dafür sehr freundlich und nett

I overpaid for this hotel.. my reservation in pattaya with an oceanfront view, beautiful room and breakfast included vs this one doesn’t make any sense. It was definitely a scam to book this hotel in expedia. The hotel in front of us was $3 more . Not happy at all

I found the location and the staff very nice and friendly. Very happy staff. the room was very cool and I liked the outdoor bathtop and shower. cool design. very quite at night. I loved everything.

My stay at Baan Kamala Fantasea was fantastic. The front desk staff were wonderful—always smiling and eager to help with recommendations. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. I had an incredible stay at this Airbnb! The property was immaculately clean, which made me feel right at home. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the beach, allowing me to enjoy the swimming every day. The management was exceptionally welcoming and responsive, ensuring my stay was comfortable and memorable. Highly recommend this place for a perfect beach getaway! Also close to nice restaurants and bars.

We liked the little location

The photos of the property are very misleading. Rooms were tired looking. Connecting door to adjoining room did not work. (We had booked the two adjoining rooms). The room appeared not to have been prepared for our stay. No coffee, water not turned on in bathroom. Aircon remote control not working.

Hotel Preis Leistung top, wenn man halt nicht viel braucht. Liegt in einer Nebenstraße… trotzdem sind dort Bars und die eben manchmal nachts laut. Zu Fuß zum Strand is es nicht weit. Beach towels verfügbar. Personal nett. Alles in allem super.

Loved the cleaning staff. Very nice and did a god jobb. Nice beds. The staff in the reception though. Hard to understand, bad english. And really not helpful. We went sick the last days so we moved to another place where we felt more safe.

The location ..we’re in that same location Kamala beach the year before, really liked it wanted hotel only there. Last year we stayed in the hotel right opposite and for the same price that other hotel is much much better. Booked this one because was no rooms in that other one. Maybe it was high season and all the hotels are overbooked , the hotels can raise the price greatly and people still book. We paid about 100 dollars per night for two people and it was overpaying for sure. The pictures here look much better than in real. Smells badly in some rooms from the toilet , we moved twice in 11 days from room to room. Breakfast in the other hotel across the street , Baan doesn’t have a kitchen.

This is a good budget hotel for 1-2 nights. Fridge and kettle were very handy. It's off the main road so not noisy. It's a 7min walk from the Smart bus stop on the main road, 5 min to the "tourist street" with shops and restaurants and 8-10 min to the beach. The staff is very nice. A good hotel for the price. The area is very safe with private houses around and a couple of restaurants 2 min away.

It's quite functional and not as cosy. Cleaniness was ok but as others mentioned, dust lumps from under the door. The outside paint job is also a bit outdated.

The property is not flashy, but it's a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are lots of small restaurants and bars nearby. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away. The room was cleaned regularly and a there's a safe in the room for your valuables. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there.

The hostel is new, well located, clean, 500 baht in a 4 bed mix dormitory. Problem: at 2:45 in the morning the employee open the door and introduce a neanderthaler in the dorm, talking and opening my curtains by mistake... I understand that people must be sheltered even at night, but it would be nicer and more respectful if the check-in was less NOISY!

Room was clean, roomservice was good. The Apartment was very creative but cozy right on the rooftop.

The Penthouse Apartment i had was very noisy since its 360 degrees windows - and no noise reduction windows - and the main road and Nightlife area is right next. Hotel was bot able to give me a different room.

A very nice lady called Bomm helped me throughout my stay, organising transport for me etc.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at this family run hotel. Located a five minute stroll to the beach, on a street full of local food restaurants, it is peaceful at night and will allow for a great night sleep.  The people working at the hotel have beeen very friendly and helpful. They put us in contact with a local business who provided a driver to see Phuket main attractions, they provided an excellent, quick and cheap laundry service, and they were always ready to help if we needed something. As a bonus, you may enjoy spotting the outdoor cat who will provide free entertainment for you and your fellow travellers. Among his favourite activities: doing splits and squatting low on the ground to absorb every single ray of sun. Thanks Baan Kamala for a great stay. Highly recommended!
