Seikiro Ryokan Historical Museum Hotel

Incroyable expérience du ryokan, avec des onsen pour salle de bain (détente assurée) La chambre traditionnelle était très vaste, avec une vue sur le jardin. Les futons super confortables, nous avons pu nous glisser dans des yukatas et profiter de la vue. C'était super calme et cosy on aurait aimé en profiter encore plus !

Seul micro point faible : les oreillers traditionnels qui sont garnis de cosse et très durs, mais c'est vraiment une préférence personnelle !

We really enjoyed the breakfast, especially the thoughtful explanation of how to enjoy each dish. It made the experience feel special and authentic. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience.

The room was a little below our expectations. Considering the price and the facilities provided, we were somewhat disappointed with the overall value. We had hoped for a more comfortable and pleasant room for the price.

Authentic Ryokan … everything seems untouched for decades Onsen we had to our own. Dinner and breakfast were very good and really made us taste the experience perfectly Location is very nice and quiet, 2 min. to rental bikes and at night it’s a 30 minute walk to Amanoshidate. We were given the best room with private bathroom and a balcony with view of the garden. The owners do everything to help and assist: shuttle to / from station, show you around and make sure we have everything you need.

The age shows and simple changes like the light in the dining/breakfast room, tiles in the onsen and some touching up of defects on the walls would return it to the level this ryokan deserves

立地がいい。車も目の前に停められる。 小さいショッピングモールや飲食店も徒歩圏内。天橋立に行きやすい。 アットホームな雰囲気で古き良き旅館でした。

強いて言うなら、 大浴場が広くない。 トイレが部屋外なのが不便。

Very good location in Miyazu, close to restaurants. Beautiful view from the room on a small park and the sea, unfortunately spoiled a bit by a large mall building but still nice. Very friendly staff.

We had hoped that there would be a nice foot path along the sea to Amanohashidate. There is a path, though it is a bit hard to find (just stay close to the sea as much as possible) and goes alongside a busy road for some time (on the bike path). Later it becomes nice.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Ryokan Hotel. The location is great, close to a supermarket and to the station. The ryokan has such a unique and authentic Japanese style. Special mention to the amazing staff 👏👏 so welcoming! They even offered us a ride to the station at the end of our stay so we didn't have to drag the luggages. Will definitely visit back in the future.

There is nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect :)

登録有形文化財に宿泊できるとのことで予約（朝食付きプラン）しましたが、本当に歴史のある建物でした。 出迎えから見送りまで、とても気持ちよく対応していただきました。 客室グレードアップで、とても趣のある素敵なお部屋に泊まることができました。 お部屋のお掃除も行き届いていました。 お布団も枕も、すごく気持ちよかったです。 夕方１時間ほど近隣の街歩きをしました。地図と合わせて簡単に街の説明をしてくださって、助かりました。 朝食後、３階の大広間を案内していただいて、館内にある絵画などについても説明してくださいました。朝ごはんもおいしくいただきました。 とても素敵な体験をさせていただきました。ありがとうございました。

歴史があるので当然ですが、トイレや温泉の設備、洗面所の排水などの老朽化で、不便さを感じました。現代的な設備に慣れていると、すこし難儀するかもしれません。 大切な文化財ですので、これからも守りながら、継続していってほしいです。

古い旅館なのでしょうがないかとは思うのですが、扉が閉まらなかったり、窓の隙間から虫が入ってきて少し不便を感じしまた。

まず、ご飯がすごく美味しかったです！！友人と今後の旅行は宿泊先のご飯をいただこうと話し合うくらいには美味しかったです！ それとスタッフの方がとても丁寧で、バスの時間や観光地へのアクセスを教えてくださったのがとてもありがたかったです。 歴史ある建物で襖が締まりきらなかったり、廊下のトイレが和式便所だったり慣れない部分はありましたがトイレはいい匂いがしますしお部屋のトイレは洋式で綺麗でした！ お部屋の冷蔵庫があまり冷えていなく使えなかったのは残念でしたが、敷布団でも体が痛くなりませんでしたし大満足です！

Staying at this Ryokan was a great experience. You can feels the age and history in the walls. It is slightly rundown but that is part of the experience when staying in such an old building. I stayed in March so it was pretty cold but a scorching hot water bottle was provided for a futon. I also had the breakfast and diner which were very traditional and worth trying.

Bathroom was very cold so I couldn't stay in there long. There seemed to be some water damage in parts of the room

Une belle immersion dans une famille japonaise très accueillante...spécialement la maman qui fait tout son possible pour échanger ! La maison est ancienne et historique. Il y a des oeuvres antiques exposées. Notre chambre japonaise était spacieuse, avec une vue mer. Nous avions deux futons superposés, ce qui a permis de très bien dormir ! Il y avait un coin sanitaire avec WC et lavabo. Nous avons pris un dîner en supplément et nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Une liste de plats avec entrées, poissons et viande ! Délicieux... Le petit déjeuner également. Nous avons profité du onsen très bien pourvu également. Parking devant l'entrée de l'hôtel.

This I s a great place to stay and explore for a couple of days.

Un accueil très chaleureux et bienveillant pour un agréable moment de calme.

Ich hatte einen sehr freundlichen Empfang und konnte mein Fahrrad direkt in der Garage gegenüber abstellen. Dann habe ich erst mal Tee bekommen und konnte mich entspannen. Ich hatte mit Halbpension gebucht und bekam ein sehr gutes und qualitätsvolles Abendessen. Auch das Frühstück war von sehr hoher Qualität. Der Onsen ist klein aber schön heiß. Das Haus ist ein wunderschönes historisches Gebäude. Trotzdem hatte ich eine privateToilette und ein Waschbecken. Das war sehr angenehm. Eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft.

目的地である天橋立から15～20分ほどで着くことができ、立地として最高でした。 また館内の絵や書などの作品を見学させてもらうことができ、楽しかったです。

お風呂のバケツやイスが古いため茶色く変色しており、汚く感じた。

オーナーさんが優しかったです。近所の情報が非常にためになりありがたかった。

Tout, l'intérieur du bâtiment qui est superbe, chargé d'histoire, la chambre immense avec une décoration digne d'un musée, les toilettes dans la chambre et le futon confortable. Le silence dans l'établissement ainsi que l'onsen. À 4 minutes d'un grand supermarché et de l'arrêt de bus. L'accueil chaleureux du propriétaire, sa gentillesse de m'amener en voiture à la gare un jour de pluie. Merci pour tout !

It was an old Ryokan with a good ambiance, the staff were friendly and a good location.

For value for money it was poor, having stayed in many Ryokans over the years the dinner and breakfast was average compared to other establishment, the bath was small and rooms were heated by oil heater.

明治から昭和にかけての文人たちの詩や絵、掛け軸などがたくさん部屋や館内に飾ってあり、とても興味深く拝見させていただきました。由緒ある旅館に泊まることができて良かったです。

文化財的な建物なので、ところどころ傷みがあったり、使い勝手がよくないところがありました。まぁそれは仕方ないことですね。外国の方も泊まられているようなので、ちゃんとした英語での説明がされていればもっといいのにと思いました。

駅からも歩ける距離だったし、食事も美味しかったです

Proche de la gare de Miyazu, accueil impeccable et bâtiment magnifique ! Parfait pour plusieurs nuits quand on veut aller à Amanohashidate et Ine et parcourir les lignes de la Kyoto Tango Railway. Il pleuvait le jour de notre départ et l'hôte nous a gentiment déposé en voiture à la gare ! Merci encore !

朝ごはんが期待しすぎていたのかな

歴史を感じさせる建物で、詩人や文芸家の詩文があちこちに飾られていました。畳が新しくしてあり、清潔感がありました。食事は美味しかったです。旅館の方はみんな丁寧な対応でくつろげました。お布団の中にあんかが入れてあって、その温かさにびっくりしました。豆炭あんかが初めてで貴重な体験ができました。

部屋の洋式トイレが古かったです。女湯の入り口が大きめの扉で、開くとすぐに脱衣所が見えるのがちょっと恥ずかしかったです。

トラブルが有り時間にチェックイン出来ず、連絡すると迎えに来てくださった事。

写真が大分昔のものだったようです。

歴史感

皆さん親切で、ご飯が丁度いい量で美味しかった。建物がもっと古い感じなのかと思ってたけど、いい感じの味が出てて私は好きな感じでした。

パートナーの誕生日サプライズでケーキを用意してもらっていたけど、子どもと勘違いしてたみたいで笑感の鋭い人ならばれていた所。(パートナーは鈍感なんで気付かなかったから良かったです笑)

歴史ある老舗と聞いて期待していたが古いだけ。 混んでいないにもかかわらず、一人旅に対するスタッフの声がけなどの気配りを全く感じられなかった。おもてなし、の概念は希薄である。 脱衣場は寒い。 部屋は広すぎて寒寒しい。 二度と宿泊しない。

Staying at this accommodation is an experience in itself. I can highly recommend. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and it feels like being in another time. The only catch which I personally liked though is the fact that there are only these shared sento baths, so just be aware of that when booking. They are actually really beautiful as well.

A ryokan that is history itself. Every detail oozes the old japan charm along with pleasing aesthetics.

歴史的な建造物で味わう心のこもったおもてなし。食事はカニ尽くしで大変美味しかったです。最後のご飯の付け合わせに出てきたお新香が絶妙な仕上がりでした。おかわりを頼んでしまいました。これだけでご飯が進みます。

建物は歴史保存の都合で木造ですが、趣があり歴史の中に浸る感じかあります。部屋から見える天橋立を昔の書家や文豪も同じ風景を見たのだと感慨深く思いました。

Очень атмосферный рёкан с историей, онсен хороший, даже в период клёнов в конце ноября было не так много людей. Персонал рёкана очень доброжелательный, помогал нам во всех возникающих вопросах, а бабушка даже заварила нам чай :) Очень мило, обязательно приеду туда ещё раз !

Location and parking

We have spent over 10 months in Japan the last 3 years driving all over including Hokkaido few times, hence the review is from people very well aware with Japanese accommodations of any type including ryokan style. We have always been in wow of Japanese service, hygiene, amazing cleanness, up until we went to this place. I only booked it since it was listed as 4 stars, a culturally approved museum & based on description & pic- all totally misleading. We paid $210 for 2 nights meals not included. Next door Fairfield by Marriott was $190 for same time & perfectly new; I could have booked with points for $0 due to status but … wanted to support the local family business - wrong move. BTW I have been on bookings.com for 25 years and never gave this far such a low review nor had been in such an awful place. I am also a pulmonologist- lung doctor, very well aware of black mold, dampness, etc and their health ramifications. A day would not be enough to list all I want to say about the place. I took enormous amount of pics to support my review but unfortunately won’t be able upload all-bookings allow only 4. - An old lady w/ an eye of an eagle met us & made sure we parked by millimeter in the parking lines (after apparently allowing a large Toyota SUV to freely park at the end biggest parking but still mostly in our spot). She watched us take off our shoes (we did it and lined them up to perfection) & assigned room 32 which she changed shortly to 33. Walked us up to show us the view from the room & a dangerous electric switch that was not in the wall but rather rested on a table.

趣のある素敵なお宿でした。 部屋風呂はありませんでしたが、浴場は温泉ですし、部屋にトイレと洗面台はあり快適に過ごせました。 天橋立の目の前ではありませんが、すぐ近くから観光船が出るので、船に乗る予定ならば好立地だと思います。

食事なしのプランでしたが近所に色々と飲食店があって楽しめました また小さな美術館は大変見応えのあるもので楽しめました。 布団の中に昔ながらのアンカを用意していて　これは感動物でした！！

庭園も売りの一つだと思っていたが松の剪定が出来ていなかったのが残念でした

古い建物なのでどうしても完全ではありませんが、昔の風情を感じさせ趣きのある旅館でした。
