Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Familiengeführtes Hotel mit netten Inhabern und zuvorkommendem Personal. Alle waren sehr hilfsbereit. An Ausstattung hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und die Lage des Hotels ist auch super.
Es war wirklich alles super. Einzig & alleine die Übernachtungskosten waren für meinen Geschmack zu hoch, aber aufgrund der Situation und das wir wohl das letzte Zimmer bekommen haben, sind wir einfach nur froh & dankbar!😊

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Location was close to the mountain view, it was just outside my window and I felt good to see the scenic view when I woke up. The hotel was located a few mins walk away from the train station, and a few mins walk towards the cable car station for visiting Lake Oeschensee! Room was very clean and silent, we had free Wifi, every morning the room service cleaned our room without disturbing us. Most importantly the food at the restaurant downstairs is amazing!! One shouldn't miss eating there, the chef and other restaurant workers treated us with respect and they were considerate of our choices, and almost everyone at the restaurant checked in with us on how we felt about the food!
Not much to tell about what we didn’t like!

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026What an excellent place for a stay in the Alps! It was very comfortable and relaxing for a night as a solo traveler while exploring the area. Just wish I had stayed longer. The room was so cozy and the balcony was lovely. Especially loved the smell of the soaps! The service was very good. Everyone was so nice and made me feel welcome. Would love to go back.

Unico tasto dolente, appena arrivati la receptionist a detto a mia moglie che il ristorante era chiuso i due giorni successivi (quindi niente cena e colazioni). Peccato che poi abbiamo visto il ristorante attivo e persone cenarci e fare colazione… abbiamo speso altrove i nostri soldi

Ontbijt was prima maar niet super uitgebreid. Een gebakken ei was fijn geweest. Ook wat weinig fruit. Hotel gaat voorgoed sluiten eind oktober 2026. Dat was een beetje te zien. Maar de prijs was super.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026On-site restaurant for dinner was wonderful. Breakfast was terrific (museli was delicious!). All the staff was great. They sold lunches to take on your hikes, which was incredibly convenient. Served as an ATM (gave us cash and added to our room bill). Kandersteg is such a beautiful place and the pace is a bit more peaceful than Grindelwald (other mountain town we visited). Room had a separate space for our 3rd person (14-year-old son). TV in room, which made watching World Cup games very easy. Little deck was a great add... watched the rain sweep across and up the valley. Anyway, only the best things to say about Kandersteg and Blumlisalp.
The flies when eating, but that seems to be everywhere in the mountains of Switzerland. They seem to go hand in hand with the cows and their bells. Nothing specific to Blumlisalp.

Nous avons eu une chambre très grande avec une vue juste incroyable sur les montagnes ! La situation géographique de l'hôtel est splendide, au calme et pourtant tout près de tout. Nous avons adoré rester ici et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !
Dommage que le restaurant est fermé le lundi soir, comme la plupart des restaurants dans le village donc difficile de trouver un endroit pour manger les lundi.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Sehr gute Lage, die Bushaltestelle ist direkt vor dem Hotel, der Bahnhof ist in 10 Minuten Fußweg zu erreichen. Hatte ein Zimmer mit Balkon. Alles war sauber, genialer Ausblick. Das Frühstücksbuffet war klein, aber fein. Ein Essen im Restaurant lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, hervorragende Küche zu akzeptablem Preis. Das Eis schmeckt auch richtig gut.
Beim Frühstück fehlte mir etwas Rohkost (Tomate,, Gurke, Paprika) und frisches Obst wie Melone oder Beeren.
