Convenient for Gare de Lyon, basic but clean.
We were given a room in the annexe to the hotel. It was the ground floor room 01 and was a little noisy being just by the front door. The room was clean and we were only staying for one night before catching a train from Gare du Lyon which is an easy walking distance
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Locomo -- Gare de Lyon Bastille! Great location, within a 5-minute walk from the train station! Great staff, making us feel comfortable from the moment we stepped through the door -- greeting us with a smile everyday and making sure that we were having a great stay. The room, as well as the bathroom, was very nice and clean. The the bed was comfortable! And the breakfast was excellent with many choices. We look forward to returning! Note: There were some stairs to our first floor room, but that was not an issue as the staff happily took our luggage to our room.
It was a perfect spot as a base to explore Paris
Clean, comfortable, quiet with double glazed windows, aircon. Definitely great for a solo traveller, would be very cozy for a pair.
Great staff, lovely location
Great & newly renovated hotel to stay. Clean, friendly & helpful, good location as well, walking distance to restaurants & train station. Small room, but charming.
Very friendly staff, great location to Train station.
The location of this hotel is excellent, very close to the Seine River with unlimited number of restaurants and shops nearby, the de Lyon metro rail stop is very close. The hotel breakfast is an excellent option for the price, I advise most patrons to take advantage of it. Advise to all travelers who may decide to take a stroll along the Seine pathways, you need to share these walkways with a host of cyclists who are often quite aggressive to the point of being rude (perhaps this is universal, here in the states and other countries). Also beware of scammers and pickpockets, I feel victim near the Louvre. Overall, a very good hotel, Paris is easily worth a visit.
I loved the receptionists, all very kind and efficient. I also think that the breakfast was excellent and well worth it before a long day in Paris. The room and bathroom were very clean. A good value for the location near the train station and all the metros and trains.
Wow! Loved this hotel. It is close to the train station to go just about anywhere. Stores, restaurants, the river. To me, i stayed on the 6th floor and very quiet, and comfortable. The staff was fabulous, except the young lady in the restaurant down stairs. A little disappointed in her, I don’t speak French, just a little and I believe she was annoyed because she pretty much ignored me while she was very attentive to the other guests. I actually didn’t even bother to have breakfast the rest of the 2 days I was there, even though I paid for breakfast. Otherwise this hotel is lovely.
A great find so close to the Gare de Lyon
Great place near train and cool neighborhood
Decent hotel if quite small room, slow elevator - but very well located and the air conditioning worked which was a huge plus. Friendly helpful staff.
It’s a nice hotel with friendly staff in a convenient area. I liked it very much. The only inconvenience was that the wifi didn’t work on upstairs. Also I’d love to have a kettle in the room, not just a coffee maker.
From check-in to out, the front desk staff was on its game with courteous efficiency. Having the complimentary chocolate cake, fruit, and mint water available in the lobby was super special too. We didn't buy the b'fast, but our friend said it was comprehensive and tasty. The bathroom was smaller than on a ship's cabin, but served our needs. Water flowed well and got hot quickly. Unfortunately the A/C (which worked great) dripped into our shower with a continuous plop plop sound--and the staff was willing to change our room, but we were only staying one night so we just put a towel down to dampen the sound. Our room--206--fronted the hotel but heard NO street noise--lots of window panes! It's a five-min. walk from Gare de Lyon and the neighborhood felt nice with lots of cafes to eat in. The room was super clean and roomy...bed/pillows not overly firm, making it all comfy. Had a funky elevator system that stopped only at half floors...so we just walked our carry-on luggage up/down the curving staircase. I'd stay there again.
Very nice but toilet and shower room extremely small
This is a great hotel. The staff are friendly, the decor is cheery and the bathrooms very clean. Breakfast was very good and the location is close to Gare de Lyon.
Everything you would want in a small hotel. Extremely welcoming with an excellent room and great vibe. The breakfast was also great.
Friendly staff, great breakfast. But horribly small bathroom - had to sit at an angle on the toilet (we paid for the biggest room). Tight half flight of stairs up to elevator on every floor as elevator was retrofitted to building. Anyone with limited mobility could not stay here. Queen size bed was comfortable, room was clean & quiet, windows open to outside.
Close to the train station and easy walk
We had the perfect stay. The room was very small, but it had everything we needed and it was very clean, comfortable, and smartly decorated! Our windows opened and let in the beautiful breeze and sounds of the town. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay again at the Hotel Locomo! The only thing that I feel is noteworthy is that even though it has an elevator, you need to be able to use stairs to get to and from the elevator.
Stayed here for two nights during our first ever trip to Europe and it was perfect! The staff were so friendly and able to help us in English. Very convenient location, short walk to Gare de Lyon. Great food options nearby too, loved Bistrot de la Gare. Room was small but very comfortable. Will stay here again if we’re lucky enough to get back to Paris one day!
The staff are perfect service mind. And there is free coffee machine provided to the customer.
Really great hotel , free cake and water , as much coffee as you like. Helpful staff , ideal location to Gare du Lyon train station , 25 euro taxi from Gard du nord train station .. comfy clean room .. can’t score anywhere less that 5* ..
Great location, 2 minutes from train station. Very clean, comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Great spot for a quick stop in Paris
Super hotel.very clean rooms with nespresso coffee maker.lovely friendly staff.great breakfast.quirky decor.perfect location near train station.will definitely be back very soon.
Lovely small hotel with very helpful a pleasant staff. I will stay again, I'm sure
This was a great small hotel 5 mins walk from Gare de Lyon and metro. The room was small and quirky but good none the less . The staff were very welcoming and smilingly helpful. The breakfast was absolutely huge and very good. Will stay there again next time I am in Paris.
My room was very clean and comfortable. Huge windows let in lots of light. I will definitely be back, again.
Great central place to stay and very friendly service
The front desk was accommodating
The room was lovely and just as pictured. Staff were friendly and bilingual, and very helpful. They set us up for our time in the Hammam which was so relaxing, and they even had gluten free breakfast options for me. Would definitely stay here again!
Clean great size (for paris) Had no record of our reservation and didn't follo thru on wake- up call.
Happy friendly professional staff in every positions. Coffee, tee, and cocoa machine 24 hours. Fruit and cakes 😁. Located 5 mins walks from train station, Gare de Lyon. Many restaurants. Many convenient store nearby. Small but not small, 1/2 floor walk up to elevator but staff ready to help you up. Very satisfied experience.
I enjoyed my stay here at Locomo. 3 minute walk to the main train station Gare De Lyon and very close to the Marais. It’s a fairly simple hotel yet very efficient. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Uniquely designed and very clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Would recommend!
We lucked out with a bigger room. Though on the fire escape map, you could see there were smaller rooms on our floor. I'm not sure how a smaller room would have worked, but honestly, this place was amazing for one night, and we would have stayed here longer if we didn't have to go to a wedding. It's Paris. You should culturally expect smaller rooms in this big city. The staff were excellent from the moment you arrived, and very personable. There are subdued references to pop culture throughout the lobby and the rooms. Close to the Gare de Lyon and a very beautiful bit of town.
This is a great place to stay in Paris. We were leaving from gare de Lyon the next day and the proximity was terrific. We’ll be back.
Staff was super friendly and very helpful.
The front desk and kitchen staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel does have more of a hostel turned into a boutique hotel. I was a little shocked at the area and the overall size of the hotel but that is my mistake for not researching more.
Staff were extremely helpful & welcoming. And super friendly, which is not always the case when travelling a lot. The breakfast was delicious and the variety was also nice… would stay again.
Extremely friendly and supportive staff and excellent breakfasts.
Lovely hotel with a large comfy bed- nice rooms. Bathroom a little small but had the essentials and worked great for our short stay. Service was great and very helpful. Good location to the station.
The staff were superb. The views were amazing. We already miss Sorrento
I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Locomo, this was my first solo trip to Paris and this hotel was perfect. I felt very safe, all the staff were lovely and welcoming, my room was great, very clean and bigger then I expected. The location was also fantastic for metro/train station with be around 3 minutes walk from Gare de Lyon. Highly recommended and I would definitely book again for my next visit to Paris.
very convenient and comfortable
The staff was very welcoming and provided excellent service and attention.
Great stay! Location is fabulous, close to Gare de Lyon and Bastille. Handy to trains and metro. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was small, but serviceable.
Clean, pleasant decor, very friendly staff....absolutely no complaints...and free coffee and chocolate in the lobby
C’était un hôtel très comfortable !
I had the micro room but it was so perfect! Tiny, yes, but so beautifully decorated, and had everything I needed. I really enjoyed my 2 nights here. The hotel is well located and lots of places to eat are nearby. I felt perfectly safe and happy here.
Nice quirky hotel and excellent location near metro and train station. Recommended
The staff and location made this place a memorable one for me.
I liked the quaintness of the facility, the availability of beverages 24/7, the amazing staff that were ever so helpful. The location was an easy walk to train stations. What we were not prepared for was no closets and due to the size of our room it was cumbersome with luggage. We would stay here again!
The staff made our stay very nice! They were so helpful! Our room was fine. Breakfast was great, yogurt, fruit, croissant, jam eggs& coffee. The little crep next day was perfect
The staff are very friendly and help. The lobby is comfy. Room is stylish and clean.
Small but well appointed rooms, excellent staff and a very convenient location close to Gare de Lyon.
Beautiful stay at a great location. A lot of landmarks are walking distance. Front end male attendant was always attentive and there for anything. A/C works great. Amazing view of balcony only issue was that you have to climb a few steps to elevator but not inconvenient for a young couple.
Tiny rooms, and the elevator starts and stops half a flight away- but other than that, decent hotel.
Lovely little Hotel within a few minutes walk from Paris Gare de Lyon main station, so very convenient if arriving late or leaving early. My single room was small but totally adequate for one person for one night. The bed was comfy, the wifi was excellent and the shower worked well. Reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond to help guests. Although there is a lift be aware there are stairs to negotiate but the staff always help you with luggage. Would definitely stay again. Great find and reasonably priced in an expensive city.
Small but comfortable room, excellent welcome by very helpful staff, good breakfast. A little short on closet space. Easy walking distance to Gare de Lyon. Good value for the price and location. Would stay there again.
Good location
The location was great, right next to Gare de Lyon.
I like it’s location, our room was spacious and the staff that we met were very accommodating and friendly
Very helpful and friendly staff. Micro room is small but very efficiently laid out.
Incredible attention to customers and to every detail. Stairs prevent easy access for handicapped, but service is impeccable,
We were staying in Paris for 3 days, but also needed a place near Gare de Lyon, so we could catch a very early morning train on our last day. When searching the area, we found Hotel Locomo (only a short 3-5 minute walk from the station), and really liked the uniqueness of the rooms. Once we checked in, it did not disappoint. Along with the unique and fun styling, the room was comfortable and pleasant to stay in, as you would want from any hotel stay. Its location makes it great for several reasons, too. Not just close to the train station, its close to several metro lines, so getting around Paris is easy, but if you would like to walk, the neighborhood and surrounding ones are lovely. We didn't have to go far in the mornings to get some breakfast and coffee (though, they do offer it at the hotel too); and there are several nearby streets with vibrant evening life to go out and grab dinner. Or even just to stroll around. Would easily make this our go to stay in Paris.
This property ended up costing me a lot of money. They can’t manage their own bookings that come through Expedia. In fact, I was asked to cancel my own booking to rebook and when it wasn’t working out they wanted me to take the time to call Expedia and get myself a cheaper rate. Why could they not offer the cheaper rate in the first place? Furthermore, the initial lady at the front desk staff was incredibly difficult to deal with and this was after a 18 hour travel day for me. I don’t speak French, and I think it gave a lot of room for error. She also said she didn’t have accommodation for me one of the nights and asked me to book elsewhere. Overall, it was stressful and I will book elsewhere next time.
The staff was exceptional in every way. I have been traveling in Europe for a few weeks and this is my favorite place by far.
Very nice hotel. Very original. Good local products to eat and drink (beer, yogurt...). Great staff, friendly, warm welcome.
Rooms quite small but adequate for a one night stay. Had a problem with water drain in shower but was given a new room straight away. My discomfort with the bed bed was due to having broken ribs so most probably ok for anyone else
Recently renovated, though not very spacious, but very clean and modern. I liked wall built-in USB charges, did not have pull out my adapters.
Booked a room for 3 (2 beds), happy given 2 separate rooms with interconnecting doors! Facilities are nice and clean! Rooms now have a rack with hangars as previous guests have made this suggestion - this really shows that the hotel managers care about feedback. The point of improvement is the night staff's service. From what I experienced, the staff at night are not the most responsive in terms of simple requests. For the first night, we asked for an extra roll of toilet paper and it was fulfilled in 30 minutes. For another night, we requested a box of tissue papers (housekeeping failed to replenish an empty box) and after 35 minutes and 2 calls down to reception with no result, we went down ourselves to grab the supplies ourselves. So overall, a great stay with new and clean facilities, but more responsive staff would have made the stay even better.
Great room, great bed , no street noise but best of all the staff went out of their way to be helpful.
The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was excellent. Close to the train station and lots of restaurants. The rooms are a bit small but have everything you need.
This hotel had mixed reviews which was a concern to me when I made reservation. Hotel has been updated with security box and hotel card to enter the room, Would like to have a luggage rack to place luggage on.
Very friendly accommodating staff. The room was clean but pretty small. Breakfast very basic but good quality. Great location.
Really clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Very handy for gare de Lyon. We would highly recommend this hotel.
It was great, easy and comfortable.
The location is great--and the rooms are small but well done. The problem is that it is still under renovation--so some really bad paint smells--and worse: there was a problem with the fire alarm that went off over two nights which was terrible. Staff were nice but could do nothing about it. Check-in and check-out were unusually slow.
Very good. Clean, comfortable, friendly and close to Gare de Lyon station for transport in to main sites and to and from CDG.
The hotel is old. The rooms are very small. Even for Paris, this hotel is overpriced. It is unsettling to have to leave the key at the lobby when leaving the room.
Very basic hotel. Needs better cleaning and redecoration
Really old building and lift is so weird. Not good for anyone travelling with a suitcase.
Travel for business. Good clean no frills hotels Good local area near Gare de Lyon
Very convenient location-2 min walk to Gare de Lyon (rail station and metro), convenient store is next door, restaurants. Busy street but not noisy in the room. Like that you can leave your bag in storage and pick it up anytime 24 hr Didn't like the elevator-its up one floor on European staircase, door opens towards you and nowhere to hold your heavy bag. Also very unfriendly, slow and not very smart some of the reception people. Horrible wifi
吹風機要到樓下櫃檯借,還註明只能用5分鐘,用完要馬上歸還,旅行20多年還第一次碰到這種情況,房間還算乾淨,旅客稅櫃檯說沒錢找零
Staff were very helpful . Very friendly. Close to train station . Rooms just a bit small.
The front desk person was asking me to pay the hotel reservation fee prior my check in wherein I paid everything in advance thru Expedia. The only fee that was not paid was the city tax which is payable in the hotel. The way the front desk person talks was with unpleasant tone. It was kinda disappointed and humiliated the way she argued with me with a tone and I felt accused of cheating with my payment which I did not do. She insisted too hard that I did not pay yet. And then later she realized that it was paid up for 3 days, that is the only time she became soft spoken and apologetic. Apology was good but the damage was done already it cannot be revert back. Better check records first, instead of arguing to Guest and cause them humiliation in front of other people passing by.
Clean tiny room. Near train station.
Nice location. Room and bathroom are tiny as expected. WiFi is free but very sporadic. Only one electrical outlet in the entire room. The room was relatively clean. But everything is old, worn out and minimal amenities
Staff very friendly, great location
The hotel is located conveniently for the Gare de Lyon. We found it an ideal in transit stop over. Plenty of cafes, shops and cash m/c nearby. We found it easy to find. Reception were very friendly. The Hotel is basic without frills eg no water etc in room.
Stay was good. Facilities like drinking water, tea / coffee kettle, break fast should have been included. Room size is small. Closer to Railway station.
This hotel is a perfect walking distance from the train station with cafes nearby. Felt safe walking there around midnight from the station. The hotel itself is just OK if you need a place to sleep. Other than that it is not that great. Do NOT count on the elevator. The elevator is located in 0,5 floors which means that you have to walk half a flight of stairs to get to it. Also 3rd floor door is welded shut!
We stayed one night. We arrived Gare de Lyon by train and left for CDG by airpot bus which we took at also Gare de Lyon. We went Quartier Latin and Saint-Michel for dinner and shopping to where we took a bus #87 or #86 from Bastille. For us the location of this hotel is almost the best. Wi-fi is ok for browsing, you must ask at the front and get access code. At the front desk people speak English well. Elevator is awkwardly located the middle of the stair.
Yes, the stairs but there is a small lift. Room was basic but very clean and orderly. Staff were friendly, effiecent and helpful. Breakfast was fine.
