It is a good first experience of a Ryokan with basic amenities. The owner was very kind.

La propreté des espaces communs. Le ménage devrait être quotidien .on en est loin. Les chambres sont étroites et on n'est pas dans le ryokan traditionnel !

The room was full of spiders. My son got ten spider bites during one night.

For this price, there was nothing I can complain about. It's super close to the station. Has everything I need. Staff are super kind! This is my second time staying with them. I enjoyed every day here and would come back again!

Établissement proche de tous les centres d’intérêt. De la gare . La propreté de l’hôtel la sympathie du personnel et le prix très raisonnable. Très bon séjour

Clean, near train station, very traditional loved it.

You need to know what you are signing up for, the futons are thin, facilities are a bit dated and the host was very helpful and friendly during our stay.

I proprietari sono molto disponibili e permettono di lasciare i bagagli sia prima del check in che dopo il check out. La stanza in cui siamo stati era abbastanza grande per 4 persone (e relativi Futon). Posizione molto vicina alla stazione di Kyoto e quindi molto comoda.

Andrebbe curata di più la pulizia degli spazi comuni, le pareti sono sottilissime e quando qualcuno si ferma a parlare all'ingresso diventa difficile addormentarsi.

Walkable from Tokyo Station, spacious room, very clean, shared bathroom but convenient, vending machines, laundry, kind host.

This was our first trip so far away from home. I really enjoyed trying to talk to the staff in Japanese. The location is really good, it's quiet and relatively central. We primarily walked, as most busses were full when we wanted to use public transport.

The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved everything about the place. We found it very comfortable and homey. If you want to experience a very classic Japanese “Ryokan”, this is the place for you. It’s so much nicer for us compared to the boring hotels…We would love to come back and stay longer next time in Kyoto.

Probably their toilets need a bit more cleaning.

El Ryokan fue perfecto los cuartos muy originales la mejor experiencia para hacerlo en kioto. El personal es muy amable y comprensivo en cuestión de dejar las maletas y etc. Volvería al mismo en mi próximo viaje también la ubicación es perfecta.

Sehr herzliche hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Dies war eine der besten Unterkünfte unseres Japanurlaubs, da es wie bei gutem Freunden war.

Traditional accommodation, in the very center of Kyoto, a few minutes walk from the main station, from which you can easily get anywhere in Kyoto. The bathroom was a great experience.

Decently close to Kyoto Station. The shared shower was clean, hot, and had good water pressure. The owner was friendly. You kinda get what you pay for, I likely wouldn't stay again if I had other options but it served its purpose for my trip!

I arrived right after check in time was supposed to have started, but nobody was there. I tried searching around for 5-10 minutes with no luck. I only had a backpack with me so I just went on with my day and came back later, but if I had full luggage, that would've been a real pain.

The Ryokan is located pretty centrally, close to the central station, which was super useful, but other than that there wasn't much to do in the neighborhood (but that has to do with Kyoto's layout, not the Ryokan, so it's not a negative). The room was spacious and the mattresses were surprisingly quite good, so we didn't really mind not having an actual bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There's only one bathroom for many rooms, which we expected to be an issue, but it was always free when we needed it, not sure if we just got lucky. Still, the bathroom was the only thing that was lacking a bit in cleanliness, both the shower room and the toilet room. Also, not really that much of a negative, but it should be noted that shoes are not allowed inside the building, so guests have to take them off at the entrance and leave them there.

The owner was such a nice and friendly guy, he clearly explained everything and he even lend me yukata. I was able to leave my luggage there after checking out. It was an affordable ryokan experience. I’m used to futons, so I find them comfortable. Close to the Kyoto Station and there’s Family Mart right across the street.

The wifi was really slow.

Hygien, urin doft i toan på övervåningen, personalen som tog emot oss var sämst på lyssna och missuppfattade avbokningen. Det var dammit i rummet, dusch området var litet och smutsigt, fanns ingen onsen, inga sitt puffar som även bilderna hade, två hyllor som var fyllda med skräp och damm, en snubbe som pratade och skrev att vi var tvugna att lämna med det samma via booking meddelandet, han var dessutom påverkad, luktade rök, presenterade sig inte, var ändå lite hjälpsam men det gjorde min mor orolig och hela var sämst. Ni var sämst på assistera

Great location close to a temple and Kyoto station. Very affordable.

The keys can unlock any door, and this is a big security concern. The garden is not really usable. The bathroom upstairs has a very bad smell. The sinks in the hallway are difficult to use.

We booked this facility because of great location, local onsen and low prices. These conditions were fulfilled.

When we came in the our room, the my son raised the mat on the wall. Two bugs were there and started to run away. Another bug was hiding under futon. That was huge disappointment. Even shared areas and toilets looks like was built 80years ago and not reconstructed or improved from that time. Even walls were dirty because of touching by visitors.

Where do I start....This has to be the filthiest place I've stayed at in Japan over the course of 4 years. Front door open all hours of the night, no front desk at all. To start with, couldn't figure out how to even check in. Rang the bell, no one answered, no staff in sight. Had to call the number from the website for someone to show up. The room itself was a private room, paying 17,000 yen for a single night and it was dirty. Dust everywhere, clearly not cleaned between uses. Trash beneath furniture. Stained futons. Peeling walls, visibly damaged furniture / walls. Futons grossed me out you could see the stains. The bathroom was the worst part. Nasty smelling. Finicky lock on the second floor, no outside lock to the door, but a urinal outside the stall, so any man could enter while you're using the bathroom and you could walk out of the stall to see someone using the urinal. Unsafe. The showers were the absolute worst part. The dirtiest shower I've seen in my life. Faucet was not even set into the wall properly, mold everywhere. Awful. Truly awful. The worst Ryokan I've ever stayed in. Owner was nice but that's about all. Could barely understand him and I'm fluent in jp. I do not recommend this place, absolutely not worth the price Advertised as a Ryokan but it's definitely more like a bad shared hostel worth 3k a night max.

京都駅すぐ、東本願寺門前、古き良き旅館でペット同伴可、和室の畳部屋はもちろん館内の畳敷廊下も犬自由 Booking.comの予約も他では同伴犬のワクチン証明書添付やマナーパンツ着用などを求められる宿も多いなか、こちらでは煩雑な手続きやルールもなく、まるで親戚や家族のような距離感とお気遣い。最高でした

The cost and the location cannot be beat. You get what you pay for.

地點好，日式建築跟地板隔間等好像宿舍或是老庄那種。Japanese architecture and floors are very unique and clean. It would be better if the washbasins were even cleaner, and if the broken hairdryer could be removed.

Regarding accommodation, does the bathroom have a sign reminding guests to open the door after use, or an occupied sign to let other guests know if someone is inside? PS: One night, someone finished showering and left with the door closed, so it took a long time to confirm that no one was using it. Even if I knocked, the person showering inside might not hear me.

L'emplacement du logement est très bien situé. Un FamilyMart à 25 mètres et des transports en commun à 3 minutes. L'onsen dans l'établissement. Notre hôte s'est rendu disponible et serviable quand j'ai eu besoin d'aide.

東本願寺そば、というロケーションなので京都駅まで徒歩圏内。すぐ目の前にファミマありとても便利。 洒落たワインバー、お蕎麦屋さんも落ち着いた雰囲気で楽しめます。

It is close to Kyoto Station

The owner was not responsive by message. I wanted to leave my luggage but I waited in vain. I wanted to try the onsen but the owner didn't even talk about it. Moreover, the price is quite expensive, and that's without counting the city tax (now 400¥) that is not included in the price of the room (why?).

Ten minute walk from Kyoto central station and very easy to navigate the area! The owner is very nice and if you know Japanese he’s happy to chat. There’s a small communal kitchen and a washing machine for use, so very convenient if you’re looking to pack light or want more control over your diet.

古いタイプの部屋なので、隣の話し声やドアの開け締めの音が響きやすいのは仕方ないけれど、3人部屋？の外国人が朝4時から大きな声で話したり大笑いしたりして眠れなかった。

A very nice place, it was the first Ryokan I stayed in. The owners are very kind, and friendly. In the room there was everything that was needed. There is also a vending machine inside, and the shop is just on the other side of the street. Good location, few minutes to the city centre, nice temple and garden in nearby area.

立地が大変よろしかったです。東本願寺へのアクセスが簡単で、駅からも遠くありません。目の前がコンビニなので、気楽に買い出しに行けます。本当に扉を出て目の前がコンビニです。 チェックインの時間が遅くなってしまっても快く対応して頂けました。館内設備も夜遅くにもかかわらず丁寧にご案内してくださり、本当に有難かったです。

基本的にこの値段なので、アメニティなどは全くありません。ただひとつ言うのであれば、シャワールームの扉はもう少しどうにかして欲しいと思います。さすがにあのカーテンだけでは間違えて開けられたら全てを見られるので、もう少し防御力が欲しいです。せめて扉にしていただきたいです。

C’est un établissement très, mais qui peut parfois faire leur charme. Et dans ce cas là il y avait beaucoup de saleté, notamment dans la salle de bain. Les toilettes sentaient fortement l’urine et la douche, présentée plusieurs moisissures. Dans la chambre d’tapisserie était arrachée et il y avait des trous dans les murs. Le prix est très excessif pour la prestation.
